The sounds of an argument happening in the tunnels are clearly audible as Sol'Vak and Karee walk back towards the citadel. Yet the words seemed indistinct, shredded, as they got closer it was obvious that the reason no one could understand what Sol'Vak was cursing at the bird, was because he himself had transferred his dialect to bird. One of Karee's shrieks rumbles through the cavernous interior of the citadel and Sol'Vak is very quiet. Karee seemingly mumbles something, completely indistinct. But Sol'Vak mutely agrees, she continues on her line and Sol'Vak continues mutely agreeing. Finally a uproarious bird-laugh echoes through the tunnel. "No, No, No, NO. Bad Bird!" The chuckle quiets down a little and she continues muttering. Sol'Vak shakes his head. "I swear, if you were any more obsessed I'd say you were my mother." "Kurrrah." "Yes I know it's true. But we're in the middle of an invasion and you're Still on about it! Besides! I'm still young! I'm not Ready for commitment damnit." "Krah Krah Kurrah." Sol'Vak growls and Karee stifles another laugh. "You'd best be quiet. We're creating a new world order and we may not need a place for smart-mouthed birds." Karee cracks up and another laugh echoes through the corridor. Sol'Vak growls again but keeps quiet as Karee states her point. Sol'Vak gives a resigned sigh. "D'you at least promise to play nice? Please??" Karee obtains a thoughtful look as they arrive at the base of the trapdoor. "Caw..." Sol'Vak frowns and sighs again, jumping up through the trapdoor and pulling himself up. The demons are gathered in a circle around the trapdoor and step back as Sol'Vak jumps up. One of them arches an eyebrow and turns to the demon standing next to him. "And he's supposed to lead us?" Sol'Vak growls and the demon who'd made the comment gets lifted into the air and begins clutching at his throat, Sol'Vak holding his arm up in the air, pointing at the demon's throat. The demon gurgles and Sol'Vak drops him to the floor. "You'll obey me, or I'll crush you, or better yet I'll tell Liarzax. And God only Knows what He does to traitors." The rest of the demons drop to their knees and the one kind of cringes on the ground, clutching at his throat. Sol'Vak snaps his fingers and the group parts, he notes Flint sitting on the ground with Stonefire. Sol'Vak turns back to the demons and points a single finger at Flint. "She's with me. If she's mistreated in any fashion by Any of you. I'll have your head removed, stuffed, and mounted on a wall at the castle in the UnderDark." Sol'Vak climbs the stairs to the loft and Karee busts through the floor around the trapdoor, startling the demons, she eyes them suspiciously and then walks out the double-doors and flies up to the roof of the building, hoping for a battlement to rest on. One of the demons rise and looks about, looking especially carefully at Flint, he says in Common. "Milady." The demon on the ground stands and kneels before Flint. One of the others growls in aggravation but they all kneel to Flint. One of them says in Demonic "At least he's ruthless." One on the right nods in agreement and another hisses. "Yes, but do you think he'll lose his nerve?" A murmur of understanding courses through the group and they stand again. Glancing at Flint before finding ways to make themselves comfortable in the somewhat ruined citadel, using bodies as pillows and the sort. One of the demons nods towards Flint and speaks in Common "You're to sleep in the loft. There's suitable matresses up there and... Uh... We're not, er... Honored enough to sleep in the same room as the commander." Sol'Vak chooses a bed furthest from the door, it appeared that they had initially kept their sick in these beds. But there hadn't been any for a while. Sol'Vak thought for a moment, How fortunate. And then laughed at the irony of that thought.

Flint stares at the demons for a moment then stands, and makes her way up to the loft. Coming through the door Stonefire notices a rat eating quietly in the corner. He stares at it for a moment and the rat looks up as if in a trance. The hypnotized rodent walks slowly toward Stonefire and when it is within three feet of him, he leaps and snaps it up in his jaws. Flint grins. " You know Stonefire, you really should learn how to hunt on your own, not all animals are as easy to take over. " Stonefire glares at her. " I know perfectly well how to hunt without magic, I just enjoy a little mind game every once in a while. " Flint's grin widdens. " Of course you do. " Stonefire growls and goes to sit by Sol'Vak. " Females. "

Sol'Vak pulls himself up so he's leaning against the backboard. "I forgot to divide the treasure. I also forgot to inspect the troops... I think I might be slipping up." Sol'Vak growls. "I hope the true invasion begins soon. There's faaar too much going on here for me to handle the humans by myself. But that was never master's intention at any rate." Sol'Vak glances at Stonefire as Stonefire sits himself by Sol'Vak's bed. "That's unusual... I had the odd hunch you disliked me?"

Stonefire grunts. " I don't DIS-like you...I just don't particularly like you, And when she gets like this i tend to go to the first sane person in range....now i have no knowleg as to your sanity but you are the only one here besides the bird, who is both as insane as Flint is and not acessable from here. " Flint just laughs and lays down on the bed closest to the door. " Nevermind Stonefire, he can be such a grouch somtimes. "

Sol'Vak slides back down into the covers and tucks himself in. "Get some sleep, both of you. We've got a long day ahead of us." He turns over so he's facing the wall. Raising one of his arms and snuffing out the candles. "G'night you two."
Drak'lazath growls. ((Demon #1.)) Ronzax ((Demon #11)) turns over after trying to flesh out the nun's bones so she'd be more comfortable to lay on. "What is it This time?" Khimaj ((Demon #15)) Growls at both of them "Shut up and get some sleep." Yarzehmar ((Demon #13)), Zlasulon ((Demon #5)), Zrythmir((Demon #7)), Zelodir ((Demon #12)), and Xetziel ((Demon #10)) were all already fast asleep, their snores clearing any doubt of that. Drak'lazath growls again. "The boss man forgot to pay us, and he forgot to dismiss us." Ronzax growls back "Learn to like it, You know what Lord Liarzax will do to us if we don't follow his orders. He must have some confidence in the mage or he would've killed him on the spot." Drak'lazath bares his teeth and Khimaj says a little loudly this time "Shut. Up!" Drak'lazath glares at Khimaj "Shut your trap. If we can't trust the commander we're dead." Ronzax frowns. "Why does it matter? We'll likely get paid tomorrow and he basically gave us our final orders before he came here." Drak'lazath thinks about this for a second. "Sure. But that doesn't explain if he will or will not have the mental strength to keep up the murders." Ronzax rips the wrist off the nun and throws it at Drak'lazath "Stupid b*****d, he's killed plenty of humans just as ruthlessly." Drak'lazath shrugs as the nun's wrist bounces off him. "That could just be a show." Ronzax grins "You're forgetting the plan." Drak'lazath growls again "What plan!?" Ronzax continues grinning "You saw the ring on his finger? The golden one that glows a little?" Drak'lazath frowns "All of him glows a little." Ronzax shrugs "The ring glows more, anyways, so long as it's intact the mage is loyal to Lord Liarzax. So even if he started to feel pity for the humans the ring would kick in and he'd feel pity for nothing. He could bite the head off a rabbit and then shove it down a three year-old human child's throat." Drak'lazath grins and nods "Lord Liarzax proves his wisdom once again." Khimaj puts his human pillow's arms over his ears and tries to drown out the noise. "You stupid ********! Go to sleep!!" Drak'lazath glances at him but secedes and turns over, acknowledging the thought. Ronzax throws balls of darkfire at the torches and snuffs them.

Flint mumbles a faint goodnight as Stonefire jumps up on to her bed and grunts as they both drift off to sleep. Flint wakes with a jolt, bringing herself out of her usual nightmares that come with being part human. She glances around the room and finds Stonefire by the door, munching on what look to be the remains of a vulture. She raises an eyebrow at him and he makes a gesture that appears to be the closest thing to a shrug that a wolf could make. " There are pleanty of dead bodies out there, what did you expect? " Flint nods and glances over at Sol'Vak's bed, finding him still fast asleep. She grins to herself and stands up hooking her staff back on to on her back. Flint debates for a moment on wether to wake Sol'vak, decides against it, and makes her way down the stairs, attempting to weave her way through the sea of demonic mass that was the church floor. She had almost made it to the door when one demon, seemingly still asleep, threw his arm in her path and tripped her, sending her tumbling to the stone. She curses rather loudly, kicks the demon's arm out of her way, and stalks out the door, as put out as a humiliated cat.

Karee stretches and yawns, she wound up sleeping in the belltower, it wasn't entirely comfortable, but she was able to find space to lay herself down. She drops to the ground and notices Flint leaving the building. She nods to her and proceeds to jump up in the air again. She wings over to the window where Sol'Vak lays and Stonefire notices her entrance but appears to be preoccupied with a vulture. Karee's eyes glint with mischief and she moves her head in through the window, her claws clutching into the wall. It cracks but holds her up and she noses her way closer to Sol'Vak. Sol'Vak rolls over and mumbles in his sleep. "Ladies, please, there's plenty of me to go around." The look on Karee's face is of pure amusement and she caws softly. Sol'Vak rolls again and mumbles something unintelligible. Karee Screeches and Sol'Vak's eyes flash open, Karee's face right in front of his, he jumps backwards while on his side and then realizes there's hardly any bed left under him and clutches at the covers before sliding off between the wall and the bed with a soft thud. Karee giggles maniacally and pulls her head out of the window, she drops to the ground and screeches again. Ronzax busts open the door to the loft and glances about with a frightened expression. "Commander!?" Zlasulon dashes up the stairs behind Ronzax and trips on the top step, trying to stop, he slams into Ronzax and the two fall to the ground in a flailing pile of arms. Two demons behind them can be heard laughing uproariously. Xetziel and Herizmrah to be exact. Sol'Vak's hand comes up over the bed and he growls, "Laugh it up fireball. I'll get you for that one." Ronzax chuckles from the floor. "Admit it sir, you looked really funny." "I don't wanna hear it Demon Number 11." "Uh...?" "You, you're demon number eleven." "Easy as that is to remember sir. Would you mind calling me by my name?" "Name? Oh s**t! You've all got names, haven't you?" Ronzax sighs. "Yes sir. Most things do." Sol'Vak pulls himself up and glances at the pair of demons, trying to disentangle themselves from each other. "I don't feel very badass right now." Zlasulon pulls himself free and stands, saluting Sol'Vak. "Zlasulon reporting for duty, Sir!" Sol'Vak sighs and salutes the demonic soldier back. "Everyone downstairs. I want to learn everyone's name and inspect the soldier for wounds." Ronzax and Zlasulon scramble to accomodate, when Sol'Vak reaches the base of the stairs he finds the demons in a line. Sol'Vak waves at them. "It'll be easier if you line up by numerical order by which I remember you." Yarzehmar groans and Sol'Vak re-arranges them accordingly. "Number one?" Drak'lazath salutes. "Drak'lazath sir!" "Number two?" "Xerzokai sir!" Sol'Vak sits on one of the stairs and yawns. "This is taking too long. When I point at you name yourself, no more." He points at the next in the line. "Mahkvez!" Next. "Wrykven!" Next. And so on... "Zlasulon!" "Laaszad!" "Zrythmir!" "Kelrahz!" "Herizmrah!" "Xetziel!" "Ronzax!" "Zelodir!" "Yarzehmar!" "Amhraz!" "Khimaj!" Sol'Vak yawns again and he looks at the group. "It might take me a bit to get all of you straight. But whatever... How many of you are wounded severely?" None of them raise their arms or make any motion to show themselves. "Good. Mediocre wounds?" Xetziel and Zelodir raise their arms. "I want you two to come in on the rear on the next attack. Minor wounds?" Drak'lazath, Yarzehmar, Khimaj, Zrythmir, Herizmrah, Laaszad, Xerzokai, and Wrykven raise their arms. "To be expected I suppose. Just be more cautious of the humans. They tend to be like wild beasts when cornered." The 8 nod. "Alright kiddies, any questions?" Drak-lazath growls. "Sir, why did you simply not give us ranks?" Sol'Vak glares at the demon. "Because last I checked, none of you has proven himself better than the others. You want ranks? You go talk to Liarzax. Oh wait, my bad, you're under my control until he can get the army through that portal. Now I already know you're all unusually good. A point squad always is. But this bullshit about not wanting to be physical equivalents is nonsense. But if you truly insist. Go ahead and start counting your kills, we'll keep a scoreboard." Drak'lazath nods assent "Thank you sir." Sol'Vak frowns. "Any other questions before my patience wears out?" Laaszad raises his arm. "What's for breakfast?" Sol'Vak arches an eyebrow and looks at the floor. "Last I checked. Whatever the hell you catch for yourself. Unless you want to just eat the humans we have here right now." Laaszad chuckles a little. "Don't push me little man. You saw what I did to... Khimaj... Last night." Khimaj rubs his throat nervously as he remembers the situation from the night before. The rest of the demons cringe back just a little, barely visibly. Sol'Vak notices however, and he grins viciously. "Keep that in mind gentlemen." He pushes himself up from the stairs and stretches, the rippling pop of joints followed by a sigh of relief. Sol'Vak makes his way out the door, looking for an animal pen to raid. Chicken sounded good for breakfast. Xerzokai rolls his eyes after Sol'Vak leaves the room. "You all realize that together we could kick his a**, right?" Ronzax rips an arm off the priest, and rips into it with his teeth. "Sure, but why would we want to? We've barely taken any wounds from three cities full of people, one of which was fully armed." Drak'lazath scratches the scales on the back of his neck. "True, but we caught them all by surprise. Let's just hope he's as intelligent about planning an attack on a planned city as he is at attacking a city caught completely by surprise." Ronzax grins. "I'm confident of Lieutenant Sol'Vak's abilities." Xerzokai sighs. "Lieutenant? You can't give our commander a rank." Ronzax frowns "I'm sure Lord Liarzax would agree he's deserving of that much at least." Yarzehmar groans. "Why don't you just stick your nose up his a** and get it over with Ronzax?" Ronzax growls. "Shut your filthy mouth, ********> Sol'Vak watches the argument through an orb he'd left under the staircase. Sighing as he rips into a piece of the chicken he'd just roasted using magic, he decides it's about time to break it up as Ronzax and Yarzehmar draw their blades. He snaps his fingers and his illusion magic began working, it wasn't very hard, he was only about 500 yards from the church. Smoke pours out from the staircase and the orb rolls out into the middle of the battle-to-be. All the other demons begin watching the smoke while Ronzax and Yarzehmar growl at each other, baring their teeth. Ronzax draws his blade back and is about to begin a dash at Yarzehmar when The orb turns into a gigantic image of Sol'Vak, about the size of three of the demons. "ENOUGH!" The floor rumbles and the demons all stare in shock at the over-size image, Ronzax's sword drops from his clawed hand as he stares at the image. "Eat something, get your gear together. We leave in an hour. And if any of you try to start a fight again, I'll personally handle both involved. I will not have chaos in my own ranks. You want to handle personal grudges? Get #1 on the scoreboard. Keep it clean you bloodthirsty asses." Yarzehmar curses and sheaths his weapon. "How'd he know what we were doing!?"

Stonefire chuckles at Karee and finishes his vulture. He tosses the bones out the window and makes his way down the stairs, passed the demons, who give him a slight nod, and out the door. He looks around but sees no sign of Flint, he looks at Sol'Vak questioningly but doesn't have time to hear his answer because at that moment she comes around the other side of the church. She glances at Sol'Vak. " So should we destroy this idiotic building before we leave? Or leave it so whoever I sense is following us can gasp at the horror of a tained church. " She grins at the thought of what those religious idiots' faces would look like when they saw the church and what had happened to it's inhabitants.

Sol'Vak rips a bite off the chicken and chews it down and swallows it, he grins. "Let's do a combination of the two." He walks in through the double-doors of the church and looks at the demons, they begin to form up to move out when Sol'Vak puts his hand up. "Not quite yet. Does anyone have materials for drawing a pentagram?" Xerzokai waves an arm at the ground. "Human blood... Are we summoning someth-" "No, I just want to scare the living s**t out of anyone on our trail." Xerzokai nods and 5 out of the 15 plunge their claws into the humans nearby, using what fresh blood they have left, it had already begun to coagulate but that didn't seem to matter, the demons spread out and make a over-sized pentagram on the floor, meanwhile, Sol'Vak sits on a bench, playing with the newer bag of runes. He digs in and pulls out one that's bright red and about the size of three of the other stones. "Heheheheh, An inferno stone, beautiful." Sol'Vak puts it in the middle of the pentagram. "We're going to want a little distance before I set that off..." He drops a pair of blue stones and a white one near the large red one and proceeds to walk off. After reaching a distance of about 750 yards Sol'Vak snaps his fingers and a high-pitched whining noise lets loose, the stained glass windows explode outwards in a burst of flame, charring the window frames, the double-door begins splintering and half of it actually falls from the frame before the flames subside, leaving the church smouldering. If Sol'Vak's guess was correct the inferno would scar the ground with fire Just enough to look like a summoning spell. Sol'Vak grins and stretches. Karee lands a short distance away and hops from one leg to the other until she reaches Sol'Vak. "Kurraw!" She stretches her wings wide and yawns before bending down to indicate she's ready to begin the trip to the next location. Sol'Vak clambers up her back and reaches a hand out to help Flint up.

Flint grins as the church smoulders, half wishing she could be here to see the poor human's faces when they saw what Sol'Vak had done. She raises her head at a blast of somone else's thought patterns in the distance and realizes that it is the army behind them, and they're getting close. When she had first sensed that somone was following them she had thought it was only a human army, but now she found somthing else, though she wasn't sure exactly what he was she knew heas powerful, for she couldn't read his thoughts. She shakes her head to get the soldier's thoughts out of her head. Definitly time to go. She takes So'Vak's hand and swings up to sit right behind him. Stonefire leaps up and settles into his place on Karee's back behind Flint, ready for the journey ahead.

Karee lifts off and with a few powerful strokes of her wings the group is in the air, she wings southeast and begins following closely to a road leading in that direction. Sol'Vak pulls himself around so he's facing Flint again. "Caw." "I've told you once I'll tell you again bird, shut up. Now, I believe I'd told you I'd try something. Well, here goes nothing, just try to relax, you won't have to open up or anything, but since it's experimental I want you to tell me if anything seems off." He pulls a few runestones out of his pouch and snaps his fingers, they combine into one big stone. Sol'Vak puts the stone to Flint's forehead. "Now if I'm correct, since you and Stonefire are Linked he should receive basically the same thing as you only minus the contact." He seems to become lost in thought as his right arm reaches up into his robe sleeve and comes to rest on the control bracelet. He frowns and his eyes seem to glow with more ferocity, a white streak runs down his right arm, up through his left one, and upon making contact with the stone it makes Flint's eyes glow a bright white. Sol'Vak's face goes from a concentrating frown to worry. "Are you alright??" "You killed her didn't you? Heehee, Sol'Vak killed his dream girl, wait, this isn't the first time is it?" Sol'Vak growls. "Shut UP!" "Sol'Vak and Flint sittin' in a tree K-" "Do I need to wipe your brain again?" "What good would it do?" Sol'Vak groans.

Flint looks blank for a moment then smiles. " Yes I'm fine... That was..Interesting..." Stonefire nods with a very toothy grin. " And it worked too. " Flint chuckles slightly. " She sure has personality. " She looks off into the distance, enjoying the flight for a moment before turning back to Sol'Vak. " When I was meditating this morning I sensed an army following us. Mostly human. But there was one mind I felt that was not.....Male....Very powerful but I'm not sure what he is. They are getting close, probably about a day behind us.." She looks down at the demons as they keep pace with Karee. " Where are we headed anyway? "

"Camogli. Little port city southeast of here." Sol'Vak also watches as the demons leap and bound keeping up with Karee. "Magnificent soldiers. Unfortunate they can't keep off each-other's throats long enough to create a proper team feeling. Speaking of which. I was thinking of something." "Say iiit, sayyyy iiiiit" "I want you to help formulate the plan to invade camogli." "Ohhhhh, so close, yet so far far away." Sol'Vak growls again and Karee's eyes flash with amusement. "What have I told you?" Karee cracks up. "What? You want me to bend down on one leg and declare you Master?" "It'd be better than this nonsense about Flint and I- Er... Being companions." "Ooooh, nice save. You're the man now, yup." Sol'Vak growls again. "Just shut up and fly." "Yes master, right away master, would you like I should prop up your feet master?" "Shut up!" Karee continues flying and laughs uproariously.

Stonefire chuckles slightly and says in Sol'Vak's direction. " I'm sure Flint wouldn't mind being your ' Companion' " Flint growls and half turns, giving Stonefire a glare. " Shut up. This nonsense from you is begining to annoy me. " " Nonsense...Sure. " Flint's cheeks turn red. " I said shut UP! " " I know what you SAID. " Flint just groans and turns back to Sol'Vak. " Anyway, I would be happy to help you with a plan. " She thinks for a moment " Do you know what kind of defenses they have? I'm afraid that I really don't know much about Camogli, it's one of the few places Stonefire and I haven't been even once. "

Karee laughs "Oh what beautiful children these two could create. Sol'Vak glares at Karee and holds up his left hand with his fingers held together like he was to snap them. "Alright alright ease up. Heehee. You know you want it." Sol'Vak grunts and his hand eases back to holding onto Karee. "I'm afraid I don't actually know much about the city's defenses. Hopefully the human resistance has yet to reach this far, undoubtedly however, they'll be expecting our attack. All I know is it's a fishing town, surrounded by myths about Mer-people, but I don't believe those, we shouldn't actually have any difficulty with it. Fishermen are undoubtedly suspicious of the water, so I say we use that against them. But at the same time they know the most about it, so we'll have to be cautious. Something simple like our demons rising from the deep would be suitable. Unfortunately they tend to dislike cold, so if one of us could hold a bubble around the group while we position ourselves... It should make the entire attack take half the time." "Yes, more time to stare dreamily at each other that way." "I've warned you already Bird, you wanna push me?" "Oh No master, I'd never want to do something like that. Master, might I inquire as to why you aren't hitting on her yet?" Sol'Vak simply glares over his shoulder at Karee. Karee chuckles amusedly. "So where do I come in over all of this?" "Well, there was a seer in this land who predicted the end of the world when a Phoenix crossed the sky. You'll make our villagers twitchier." "That's It? You want me to fly over and then let you all kill everything and everyone?" "Well, not exactly but..." "That plan is unfair to birds." Sol'Vak frowns. "If you want a bigger part you'll have to behave." Karee acquires an amused glint in her eyes at this. "I might tell you the same thing. Ye of horndog-like b*****d raisers." "Final warning bird." "Heehee, is that a dare? Or a double dare?"
