pixiestixryu My mom is like that too, kitsunechan8888888. xd She's not really interested in anime or anything me or my sister like, but she always gets excited for us. Even drives us to conventions and such and makes sure we have spending money. Adults are so cute The are. XD <3 The other day I convinced my parents and Grandma to watch Brokeback Mountain with me, and they actually liked it, even though all three are slightly (I mean very slightly) homophobic. It was funny how interested they got in it.

My parents don't care and my step dad doesn't care. My mom and my step dad are fans of Inuyasha and Fullmetal Alchemist. My dad sometimes likes anime, but he prefers Lord of the Rings and Star Wars.
My mom though used to hate anime and used to call it "anime crap". Glad she changed her mind. >_<

My mom doesn't really give a damn, as long as it doesn't get in the way of my school work then it's fine by her.
I tried to get my little brother into liking it, but all he's interested in is computer games.
My friends (however little I have) think I'm weird, except two of them who like anime too, one of them also an avid Yuugiou fan.

Avid? I'd call it a little more than avid Ookami-chan. My mom is so werid she enjoys it, she sits up in the morning and watches it with my brother, the scary part is she thinks Seto-kun is sexy. xd My dad doesn't really care a at all so I'm lucky.

pixiestixryu Whats so bad about tarot cards? I've seen angelic sets with nothing but light feathery religious-looking pictures. Yu-gi-oh cards are far more satanic, what with the summoning demons from hell to do battle and all. I'd understand religious parents not wanting their children playing with them, but tarot cards? c'mon. They might as well not allow you to eat fortune cookies. I don't get adult logic. confused A lot of parents assume anything not 'mainstream'((XD)) religious is satanic. o:

pixiestixryu To Aeris: My parents don't mind my splurging on silly things, mainly because I either A. don't tell them or B. better silly ygo stuff than crack Next time they bother you about wasting money tell them you'll save up and pay the nice man on the street corner a visit instead! ....unless they don't have a sense of humor. In which case plan A is reccomendable. To Kitsune: =3 That was a particularly humorous moment, but My sister is often a never-ending source of entertainment just for when she mis-hears things... especially while ygo is on in particular.

oh god.....my entire family makes fun of me for liking any anime because of the art style that is it. They like bully make fun of me. it pisses me off soooo much. plus i barely have any friends who like the same anime i do, especially Yu-Gi-Oh! >o< it's really depressing.

I know what you mean. The small amount of friends I do have don't like Yuugiou either. they say it looks stupid because they have pointy noses and they have huge eyes and weird hair. it's just the extra-ordinary thing of the art that they don't like. according to my mom all the characters, expecially guys, look like girls. which some of them do, i'll admit. but come on. and like, how they have their eyes closed sometimes when they're happy. or when they have huge veins when they're mad. or like, a river or tears when they're sad. things like that. basically, everything about the art they hate. even the fact that they have Japanese names. They aren't being racist nessesscarily, but they make fun of the names and mis pronounce them on purpose. things like that you know?
