He continued walking slowly towards to the Inn. He showed no recognition of the name Migy, as if he didn't hear it.

"Migy? I wonder why he would call me that. He must of confused me with someone else. And what is this about unlocking? Perhaps the festival this year will be worth going to. Either way I ought to look for some more food and check on my comrades in the forest. So much to do in this ever so short of a life of mine."

Reaching the Inn, he opened the door and stepped aside bowing slightly for the young lady to enter.

"Well, I hope you'll stick around till the festival. You may find the fighting to be a pleasant money making event, if you know what I mean. By the looks of things, it appears as though some quite skilld fighters will be here this year. It has been sometime since I was actually planning on attending."

Monia stifled a small yawn and said "I have no idea what he's talking about." Having been completely ignored by Sev-ens, she didn't particularly care.
She smiled at Mad as he bowed for her and walked through the door, but whirled around at the mention of fighting, her cloak curling with the sudden movement. Her eyes snapped to his. "Fighters. Really now. And when does this festival take place, if I might ask??" She softened her voice slightly at the end of her sentence, trying not to yell with concealed happiness.

Jade watched the woman as she got to her feet. Had she really broken eye contact? That would mean that she had won the silent order of challenge that was going on. Oh pret-ty...that cloak held her attention for a moment, then she cursed herself for letting her attention wander. Scowling she watched Lyra cut the rose and once more between two things her eyes chosing to follow the rose and she looked up. Then Lyra was there.

Fear flashed through her eyes, abrubtly changing to hazel as she stepped back half a pace. Then she froze stock-still, allowing the following actions. At the rose she did a double take, and at the light touch she simply stopped breathing. Her chin shot up making it very clear she was throughly done with this.

She heard the question and was forced to focus her attention on Lyra as she walked away. She saw the woman drop into a stance and saw the sword in it's scabbard. She tilted her head to the side and balanced her weight between her front and back leg as she set her hands in her own pockets. If this woman was really as destructive as she appeared Jade would simply toy with her. She had no intention of doing real harm to someone that didn't know what they were doing.

In response to the question she gave only a nod. Her eyes going to the sword as she watched the beautiful stone surronded by silver and gold, her mind starting on the mental calculations and what the sword was capable of as she would wait for Lyra to make her move.

Lyra breathed in the sickly scent of fear, it was not as exquisite as the pure unadulterated hatred from the eve before, but it was an interesting way to begin the morn. In all honesty, given a choice she would have given this girl some other, happier emotion. She would much rather let that fill the emptiness that haunted her. It was far more enjoyable to feel. Unfortunately, Joy was far harder to produce in large quantities.

Upon the expected reply Lyra began her circle of pacing once more, her steps lazy and slow. After a few moments her strides became longer, stretching the riding skirts to their fullest. Rise and fall, up off the high heels of her boots to spin listlessly before falling into the next step. Her arms hung limply to each side, the voluminous white sleeves dancing with her.

During one spin Lyra unsheathed her sword, it whispered its arrival in the cool morning air. The silver tipped blade arched above her head before becoming and extension of a once more near lifeless arm. One would think that the continuous path that she made around her prey would tire her, but as she had yet to use her arms there was little to worry for.

She so enjoyed the haughty smile that had come to Jade's face, it was amusing to have her calculate on the sword as though it was the sole threat in this endeavor.

Jade practicallly jumped out of her skin when the sword was unsheathed. Instead she would move so that she stood on the ball of her right foot and left her other foot flat so that she could pivet as she watched Lyra circle her.

Jade's eyes stayed that deep hazel as she waited for Lyra to attack her. As she tried to calculate the woman's fighting style she found herself forced to stay on her toes. Lyra's pacing had quickened and Jade took this to be a sign of an upcoming attack. Slowly she would withdraw her right hand from her pocket and flex her slim fingers so that she knew she was ready if she needed to block soon. Her muscles took on that tenseness that she was firmiliar with before she would take a deep breath and force them to relax, if only for the moment.

Jade was looking for a place that would be ideal for her defense and she slid a few paces to the right and forward. Now a tree was placed behind her a ways and she could use that if necessary. Settling her senses down once more she went back to watching Lyra, her eyes beginning to fade into that unnaturally bright green once more.

He noticed the sudden excitement at the idea of the fighting. He scratched his head as he thought about the festival.

"Well, the festival should be in a couple days or so. I'm pretty sure it has to do with the return of the great Fox King, Kubo. I've heard from some of the animals in the forest that listen to the people of the village, you know birds and the like, that the Bear King is supposed to be here this year. He hasn't been around for quite sometime as I recall hearing. But you want to know about the fighting, right? Well there is a tournament of fighters. The more spectacular the fighter, the better they do. It's kind of fun to watch. As recall though, the last few years the fighters have been a bit...amatuerish. I would usually watch the fights from a tree in the forest, the towns people usuallly do better than the travelers that tried. Although I've had a feeling, and from the battle that was going on earlire, that this year the fighting tournament will be worth coming to town to watch. I might join in, but it's been so long since I've fought, I'm not sure if I should. Oh well, I'm heading off to forest. If you want to talk, you know where to look. Other than that I'll be in town for the festival."

As he bowed a bit lower, he turned and began walking to the forest. As he disapeared into the distance, it could be seen that he was still eating the berries and the faint whistling of sad sounding tune could be heard.

Fine. Lyra prefered to follow another's lead in this dance, but despite her long years she was one that patience came to in small quantities. After one last quick rotation she transfered her sword from right to left and conjoured a wicked looking dagger through slight of hand to her fingertips. Stopping dead, she tossed it up and caught it by the blade. She was far too skilled to make a mistake so she deliberately let is slice through her glove and into her lightly calloused palm. Aiming for the rose just to the right of that pretty blonde head, for Jade seemed to favor that side, she let it fly hilt first. Just in case, Lyra could not have this fight end so soon.

Withing a heartbeat she crouched down and rolled in following her weapon. Sweeping her legs out to offset Jade, then bringing up her sword with her, attacking what ever was in reach which would, most likely from this vantage point, be some part of a leg. Lyra prided herself on playing the reckless fighter, it was convincing enough that it seemed like it was acident or sloppyness that turned the flat of her blade for attacks.

Seven walked past the tavern after speaking with Migy. Once out of sight he jumped to the top of the tavern. His small companions spread out to different parts of the town. One inside the tavern, two examining the lake, the other four spread out along the exterior. They kept as out of sight as they could while watching the goings on of the town. Seven himself sat on top of the tavern meditating, with his eyes open.

It Was late, many visiters had passed by and the old monk still hadn't got any sleep. Not only that but, stressing over the preperations for the return of their savior was keeping him from thinking of anything else. It was about time this old body got some needed rest.

As the High monk walked off to his quarters, another monk ran up to him panting and trying to say something.

"Calm down my child, what is it you are trying to say?"

"World of... the Fox King... arriving soon..."

"What??"

The young monk paused to catch his breath.

"A messanger arrived a moment ago, it was carrying a letter which was from the Fox King himself."

the monk handed the letter to his elder who unfolded it and began to read it.

"Quick, we have to finish the preperations tonight. We must be ready for his arrival as soon as possible."

The young monk bowed and ran off callihg all the other monks. The High monk headed for the main room again. It seems he won't be getting any sleep tonight.

Jade kept focus as she saw the hilt of the dagger come to her and reached up snatching the dagger from the air she would quickly realize that Lyra had moved towards her and was in an attempt to sweep her feet out from under her. Sprining back Jade would catch herself with her left hand and balance her weight before the sword would come at her. Turning so the dagger was flat against her wrist she would bring it up to meet the blade and let it glance away from her with no harm to her body.

Jade was agile but not enough that she could remain on one hand for very long and she twisted her body so that she spun away from Lyra and dropped her feet to the ground. Jade enjoyed keeping up the game and being little flashy witht he warrior who was unskilled before she decided to give herself a bit more distance and flickec back once more. Smirking she would look down to Lyra and bring the dagger into view showing that her opponent had just made the mistake of giving her a weapon.

As he walked through the forest to his dwelling he came across Jade and Lyra. Standing out of sight behind a tree he watched as the battle had started. Noticing he was out of berries, he grumbled to himself and brought out a few pieces of dried meat. Sitting down under the cover of a bush he ate the meat and drank from his canteen without making enough noise for them to hear.

Why, oh why can't I just get home and get some rest? I'm getting tired and now I have to wait for this battle to finish. I'll probably have to patch up the loser as well. However I'll get to see what their fighting styles are like. I wonder if Kubs plans on stopping by my cave before town...Nah, he much prefers to make a flashy entrance.

The dagger Jade now held was wicked for many reasons, though it was perfectly balanced for throwing, the jagged edge was insuficient for effectively blocking attacks, leaving the sword to grate with strain against her opponent's arm. Lyra simply blew a kiss up to Jade's smirk, a quick 'your welcome darlin' clearly evident.

Still Jade did not attack.

Biting back a scowl of frustration at having an unresponsive partner to her dance, Lyra set about forcing the obvious. Having landed kneeling on one leg she jump kicked her heel straight for Jade's left shoulder. Upon landing she quickly set and aimed another kick for her stomach. Her long riding skirts masked the exact direction of each but the power of ablity was unmistakable.

Finally she spun around, sword in one hand and a new dagger in the other, aiming with the longer of the two, once again below the belt.

Monia watched Mad closely as he talked, trying to judge this man's fighting ability. She nodded every now and then to show her attention, and when he bowed and walked off, she softly called her thanks. She paused for a moment before turning to the door, thinking on the information that had just been given to her. She sighed and headed straight for the bar. It had been an interesting day, one worthy of getting drunk.

"What do you have?" she called to the barkeeper, pulling off her cloak and resting her huge bag on the floor to her right. She untied the top enough to pull out a glass and a purse, smacking them both on the counter.
