You can barely heal, you get a handful of spells and you don't even start with them. It's kinda like a paladin of nature, actually. Well, except you can get away with more stuff than them.

This all ties in with the BBEG of the campaign. He's psychological mostly, but we're going to be well into an epic campaign before we fight him.

I don't know if I'm a pack a day. Still, I now how to make characters better than a lot of people because of that. Way too much experience.

Yeah expirence helps, like I learned is never trust a group of fighters ( 4 players and 6 npc, storming an undead infected castle ) keep one behind to protect you ( wizard ).

actually the only thing I've learned about the game is that dwarves aren't very good fighters, and half-orcs don't do divine spellcasting very well.
