[ aerin pov]

Aerin wandered in from a back room, and waved at Astrid. "Hello stristri dear! I see you got the message?"

He smoothed his skirt, and advanced towards Astrid. "Long time no see, little girl! Time for you to grow up, haha!~" he grinned, and welcomed her towards the large room with all the chairs. "Anything you wanna ask before you go?"

Blinking hard, Astrid stared. "Umm..." she got out, feeling extremely nervous all of a sudden. "Well...uhh...I got something I guess after talking to Akira about some stuff...and then I met Sekhmet..."

Switching her demeanour suddenly, she jutted her hip out with her hand on it. Narrowing her eyes, almost suspiciously, she said, "So I was talking to Akira right...he went on about this whole thing, about why he looks different? He does look different, you know. He's taller and he's got these wings. I'm still not sure he's the real Akira...he was saying all this stuff about how he's stuck to a god now." Sticking her lower lip out, she crossed her arms. Hod, lazing around her shoulders, was completely uninterested. "So...so what's up with all that stuff? What happened to Akira? And I met this girl that looks a big cat. She told me she's a goddess."

Mentally, Astrid threw her arms out and stomped her feet around in her brain. Man was this stupid. Yet she still believed Sekhmet, although it was easier to forget the mysterious yet elegant cat student's words without her there. What the hell was with all this crap anyway?

Aerin giggled behind a pale hand. "Don't worry. I'll explain things. Have a seat, stri stri!" he gustured to the large amount of one, and took a plush beanbag for himself.

"That was the real Akira, dear, don't worry! He just went through what you're going to go through now, Stri-stri. The Accelerated Convalesence Room aging process. With your feed, we moniter your chemicals and he had been in an unstable environment long enough to affect that- and made him unstable for his age. You're unstable now too, hon. That's why we have to age you a few years, but that's all it is. His wings are a gift from someone special."

He took a deep breath, and continued on. " Akira is also bonded to a god of death- less actual reaping and more the passages and ceremonies associated with it. You too are bonded to a god. A norse one, chaotic and mischievous. Fits, doesn't it?" He winked light heartedly at Astrid, grinning again.

Another breath. "Sekhmet is...special. She is, instead of being a sleeping link to the mortal coil, a piece of the deity reincarnated onto the coil. Does that make any sense? Sorry I'm like...dumping this on you, hun."

Astrid sat down slowly, but she stared at Aerin with rapt attention. Her eyes grew wider with every word, until she dropped her head and punched her fist into her head. ...Oh crap. It was really Akira.

"Damn," she hissed, her hair hanging low and obscuring her face. She felt like crap. Astrid wasn't much for friends, but she had kind of considered Akira one -- one of the few. She knew she'd be pissed if someone came up to her and didn't believe her when she said it was her. I wonder if he's mad at me.

Suddenly, she wanted to demand to herself why should she care if he was mad at her? It wasn't like it mattered. But it did matter. A little bit, anyway. She kind of liked hanging out with Akira.

"..." Raising her head, she gave Aerin a weary look. At least his explanation made a little more sense...if she squinted. "..." She scratched the back of her neck. "...So...so the reason he looks older is 'cause his chemicals went a little crazy? And he needs to be older to balance it out...or something. And you can make people older." It sounded stupid. She knew it did. Really. Later she was going to have to write this down.

Looking ill, she asked, "...And all that gods stuff is true? Crap. I knew it was after Sekhmet. Either she was an assassin or she was telling the truth." Dropping her head into her hands and shaking it, Astrid tried to feel a little more sane. "Crap," she muttered again. "...What's this god guy in my dreams got to do with me? If that's him. How come he picked me? And what for? Is he trying to make me into him? Or his slave?" Her eyes narrowed. "He can forget being his slave. I don't do work for anyone but me."

Aerin felt her confusion and her frustration, and stood to stand next to her. He placed a hand gently on her shoulder.

"Yep." He gestured to a wall, which dropped and revealed the ACR.

"You'll take a two to three day nap in there...and you'll come out being all old, Stristri! Well. Not...old old. Just a few years older old." Aerin moved to stand by the entry to the ACR, and giggled. "The guy in your dreams is just Loki Liesmith being himself, as well as a few other signs of him. You are not his slave, you are not him. You are simply mentally strung to him, like an invisible rope. You are one of many, and you keep his memories alive and are his views to this world."

"He picked you, because you simply...are. This is, after all, Loki we're talking about!~"

Nervousness spiked in her stomach. Astrid wanted to believe Aerin, because he was a nice guy, and someone that...well, weird, just couldn't be lying. He was one of the only adults in the world that Astrid would ever believe on a second's notice. Now that she had to believe him, here, again, she wished he didn't sound so confident. So...right.

"I don't know anything about him," she said quickly. Perhaps a bit...too quickly. Putting her hand up to touch's Hod's side instinctively, she wanted to add, but his wife kissed me so I guess I'm screwed now either way right? As long as she wasn't a slave. She would never be a slave. In some dark part of her brain, she had a feeling that "Loki" himself probably already knew that. Did he plan to prove her wrong? Aerin was saying no. Then what the hell?

It's...it's kind of like Sekhmet, isn't it. I mean, if you're all up there wherever gods are...she got the chance to come down here. Maybe he's just bored.

A smirk flitted across her face. Or just wanting to screw around with other peoples' followers. Hahaha! Her face darkened and fell. That's not funny. Except it was a LITTLE bit...

"Is this going to hurt?" she asked Aerin, standing up from the chair. Her stomach began to be invaded by a vicious hoarde of angry butterflies. Feeling ill again, Astrid recalled saying she would never walk through the door that Akira had. But now she had a problem. Her little brain chemicals might explode any second.

"Stupid brain," she muttered, half talking to herself.

Aerin watched her apprehensively. Some children borked about here, and especially bonded ones.

He gnawed on a fingernail, and let her mind roll. "It won't hurt, no. You just fall asleep and then wake up in a new body. You're not scheduled for any additions, so you won't be getting any horns or wings, haha!~"
PostPosted: Mon Jun 26, 2006 7:40 pm

"Is that all?" Astrid asked wearily. "Wake up in a new body?" I feel so much better now.

Looking at Hod on her shoulder, she pointed to him. "Can Hod come with me, or does he have to stay?"

"He can come too, but he'll age as well. Your call on that one, Stri Stri."

Aerin walked into the ACR, and had RA add another pillow. There was nothing much he could do to help her decide, so he just busied himself with menial tasks till she gave in, if she would.

Astrid cocked an eyebrow at Hod. "Whatchu think, Hod? You want to come?" The snake merely turned its head to her, flicking his tongue out. Astrid knew she desperately wanted him to come, too. But she would never force him.

...Except I can't go in there alone. Hod will freak if I'm not there...

Frowning, she realized she didn't have much of a choice. It looked like Hod was coming. Maybe he'd get something out of it...or...something.

Swallowing her pride, a rare thing to be sure, she marched right up the infamous room and leaned over without stepping foot in. Looking around it, she gave Aerin a "hope I don't die" look. "Bye Aerin. I'll be back later...," she said under her breath to him as she glanced back up at him.

Then she walked inside.

Aerin smiled. "Okay then. See you in a few, Astrid!~"

Aerin shut the door, and released the knockout gas once she got settled in. He started a three day timer, and went to go read...maybe a little mythology. Norse.

[New RP - Trela & Aerin]

Oh no. It was happening to her ... just like Akira said. Insanity; she was right. But wait. She replayed the message in the back of her mind ... Bond with a deity ... she was bonding as well? So ... she was on the same path as Akira.

Trela slithered to the Infirmary doors and knocked before entering, 'Hel-- ... Holy s**t.' She had never been to the Infirmary before. How ... pink and ... flowery.

Shaking her head, she tried again, 'Hello! I recieved a message telling me to report ... here.' She coughed nervously.

Okay, no. Keep calm. Everything was going to be all right.

Aerin hummed to himself, and brightly waved at the nahzeetial when she came in. "Good! You got it then. Hope it didn't disturb you too much!" He said, and beckoned her in.

"Uhmm!~ Come on in to these seats over here. Did you have any questions before we put you in the ACR~?"
PostPosted: Thu Jun 29, 2006 3:19 pm

The snake-girl noticed the altered human waving to her, and was shocked. Well ... it was obvious it was a man ... cross-dresser. Ah, whatever. Waving back, she slithered over.

Trela paused, 'Uhh ... yeah. What's going on? Who are you?'

She could already feel her sanity slipping away. Maybe she was just worried ...

"You;'re just nervous, dear. Don't worry too much. Most kids feel a bit jumbly inside before it."

Aerin settled himself on a chair, and hmmed. "Well. My name is Aerin, and I'm the nurse here." He fidgeted a bit.

"What's going on hun, is just that your chemicals in your brain are a bit out of line, but all you have to sleep for a few days in the ACR. Nothing to worry about!"

Aerin smiled reassuringly. "You're also bonded to a goddess, but I think you've realized that..." he laughed a little. "Uhm. Basically, you just take a nap and wake up a bit older, hun. Nothing bad."
