It didn't take long for Alex to forget her worries and she began laughing. She loosened her grip on the bars and grinned sheepishly at every loop and turn, she even let out a long and slightly annoying scream. Her hairband was lost somewhere along the ride and her hair was wildly being tossed with the wind.

Letting slip the nachos of spin, covering another hapless patron of the amusement park with scalding hot cheese (not himeself sweatdrop ) he lifted his fists into the air and squeeled gleefully as the seat spun, trying his best to resist the weight of the other riders, having taken the outside position.

As the ride ground down to a halt, Hikaru vaulted excitedly out of her seat, stumbling a little and almost falling down. Still dizzy from all the spinning, she lifted one foot off the ground, whirling around in place and yelling enthusiastically.
"All right! What next!"
She looked back to her friends, bouncing on her heels. Remembering something suddenly as her stomach started growling, she pointed at Terry.
"Hey! You still owe me a cotton candy!"

Terry looked around the park as he got his land legs back. "Well," he said. "There's the haunted boat ride, or the demon drop, or the swings, I'm looking for something that isn't moving in a circle though..." His head was still going in circles but he managed to find his way over to the cotton candy booth, buying a cone for each of his friends and handing them out.

Hikaru smiled as Terry handed her the cotton candy, and quickly began devouring the tasty snack made of solid sugar. All this running around and riding rides was starting to tire her out, so she was going to need quite a bit of sugar to sustain this kind of energy level for the rest of the night. Feeling a lot better after nearly inhaling the fluffy treat, she started to look around for another ride.
"Ooooooh... demon drop sounds fun. That doesn't go in circles, it just drops straight down! And REALLY FAST, too!" blaugh

"The demon drop does seem like fun! Nothing's better than plummiting a long distance, 'cept for spinning." He siged, "reminds me of my trip to the grand canyon last year. Anyway," he began as be sunk into his cotton candy, his tail beginning to flare up, "mmpph thamks Terry, I think todays has been a great night! I have made new friend, three in fact, and I'm getting to spin and vomit as much as I want. Why don't one of you guys pick now? I've got friends all over the place ready to let us up front."

Alex shakily stood to her feet, her eyes practically spun around her head, "Demon Drop? Sounds awesome," her eyes widened and a grin spread across her face as she took the cotton candy, "Thanks, Terry," she carefully nibbled on it and glanced at each of her friends. It was awesome to have people like that, but she still felt somewhat out of place, "Hey, Tekishe. Promise me you won't eat any more nachos? Atleast for now?" she smiled nervously and took a big bite of her cotton candy.

Hikaru pointed into the distance, taking off running ahead of her friends and tossing her empty cotton candy cone into a nearby trash can.
"Okay! It's decided, then! To the demon drop!"
She dashed off toward the ride, making her way past the crowd waiting in line until she found a small flaming lizard creature sitting patiently at the front of the line. She knelt down and smiled at it.
"Hi! I'm Hiko, Tekishe's friend!"
The creature regarded her with unblinking eyes like tiny rubies, and waved her on, speaking in a crackling voice.
"Proceeeeeed."
Hikaru smiled, waving back at the others to hurry up.
"Frontsies!"

Terry tore off a bit of the cotton candy and munched on it while casually looking around the park as he followed his friends to the ride.
Terry turned to Hiro and Yuki, pointing out his favorite rides and explaining the various booths to the two of them, happily going on about this and that and how his mom used to take him to the traveling carnivales when they came by the commune but how he'd never been to one as big as this before.

Tekishe turned to Alex, "I think I can do that, I'm all nachoed out tonight anyway. Not a fan of Nachos? Because if you aren't my dad can make a nacho plate that will blow your mind out of the water. Last time he made them my brother spent the week in the hospital, they were that good. To the drop?"

Hikaru dropped back to talk to Tekishe at the mention of the forbidden delicious nacho plate, her eyes as wide as saucers.
"Wow... those sound like awesome nachos, Tek! I totally want to try them sometime! When's your dad coming up to visit again? Oh, and you guys totally need to try one of my dad's energy drinks sometime! If I had just one of those here today, I wouldn't need anything else at all to keep up my energy all night!"
She smiled proudly when speaking of her father.

Terry led the slower of his friends to the demon drop, apologizing to the line waiters again as he slipped past them and walked up to the chairs.
"Umm," he said. "Is anyone else worried about the flames?" He pointed to the fire pits below ride's row of seats.
The ride operators were dressed in devil horns, with pitch forks and tails. They smiled wide and beckoned adventureous trill seekers to ride the "ULTIMATE DEMON DROP!"

Alex's eyes sadened at the mention of fathers. Both of her parents had died when she was still little, and it felt like she were wounded by a sharp dagger to be reminded of that fact. She forced a smile and glanced between Hiko and Tek, "I'll make sure to try both the nachos and energy drinks sometime," her voice cracked and she swallowed hard, "You guys must be really proud of your dads. Anyway, lets get on before Terry goes nuts, ya?" she giggled and hopped into the front seat.

"Yeah, it was voted best nacho in show in the Elemental Plane of Fire Chili, Nacho, and BBQ extravaganza a couple years ago. I don't think he'll be coming up here anytime soon, 'corse, if we ever trek to my house I'll be sure to have him make them!."
Continuing on towards the ride he caught what Terry said about the flames. "Well, at least the ride will be nice and warm," he said with a wide smile and an incresingly growing taile of flame as he locked himself into the lead studded leather seat. "Not a problem!"
