Michael was pretty hard-pressed to remember all of the chemistry his father had taught him, but the test was not too hard. Chemical symbols stuck to his brain like glue, but atomic masses and such didn't do that so well. Formulas, it took him awhile to remember them, but after he did he was able to calculate through them. He fealt unsure about some of his answers, though. He really hated starting out on a test day.

Renji pulled out a mechanical pencil and scratched out his answers on the test, only leaving a couple blanks, and he only guess a few others. Most of the stuff had actually managed to sink in over the term, so, missing homework aside, he didn't feel he did too bad. He even smiled a bit as he flipped his test over, sure it was above passing, even if it wasn't an A paper. Folding his arms on the desk his blue eyes drifted over to Jezz, his smile spreading just a bit. He glanced at the wall clock as the four o'clock bell rang throughout the school.

Sachiko sat at her desk, staring in admiration at the hair clips Ariko had bought her. Her test was facedown on the desk. She still couldn't believe that Ariko had bought them for her. And he was her boyfriend now. She really shouldn't be so excited, it only led to bad things. But still... she couldn't help it. Placing the clips back into her backpack she raised a hand to her hair and began to undo the thick braid that hung over her shoulder.

Jezz finished the test, she knew most the answers but she didn't spend too much elaborating on them. She handed the test in and when she sat back down she lay her head on her arms. PEeking to the side at Renji she saw him glancing her way and she couldn't help the small smile that tugged on her lips. She wanted to cross the small aisle and crawl into the desk with him and tell him to never let her go.

Cyndir smiled to himself as he finished his paper not more than two minutes before the Four o'clock bell. Really...this stuff was so easy...Biology on the other hand...He shuddered to think of it. Chemistry was diagrams. He could handle diagrams. But cutting things up and dying them funny colors...that was another story. Turning his paper over, he took out his sketchbook and continued on the drawing of the kangaroo-rider. He giggled to himself when he saw it. He didn't notice the stern glance from Shimamura at the noise. Nor did he notice the teacher getting up from his desk...or that he was standing over him.

Until he cleared his throat.

Kenjo tapped his foot as the redhead looked up, startling the man for a moment. Dammit, no matter how many times he saw it, that boy's eyes always freaked him out!

"Rothyk-san...what are you doing?" he asked, looking down at the boy sternly.

"Erm...Nothing?" Cyndir answered sheepishly.

Kenjo snorted and looked at the sketchbook...His jaw went slack for a moment, before he had to slap a hand over his mouth to muffle his bark of laughter.

"Well...avoid doing it in class." he said, taking the boy's paper.

Cyndir ducked his head, embarassment awash on his cheeks. He always tried to avoid being reprimanded....And by Shimamura-sensei! That was a rarity in itself.

"Gomennasai, sensei..." he said softly, folding his hands meekly in his lap.

Kenjo paused, and sighed.

"Well, what the heck..." he said, picking up a few more face-down papers. "If you're finished, you may leave early. The festival is coming up, so you kids go have some fun."

He glanced one more time at Cyndir. "That's some imagination you've got there, Rothyk-san." he said, chuckling. Then he headed over to the desk of the new student, Michael. He tapped the boy lightly on the shoulder. "Don't worry too much. I won't count this test in your average. I want to see what you know already, so I can see if you need to have any tutoring beforehand." he looked at Jezz. "Same goes for you, Juanaros-san. If you're done, may I speak to you before you leave, please?"

"Darn, this is hard" Shuriku said to himself as he looked at the paper, hoping for a question he COULD answer.
Back in his old days he was pretty good with this chemical stuff but over the years it became harder and harder for him.
He scribbled some answers on the last few questions wich he knew it was going to be wrong before he handed his test in and sat right back, glancing over towards Kiria.

She was already finished with her test and was scribbeling something on an empty sheet of paper.

Kenji had spent the majority of the class period struggling through the test. It just continued to remind him of why he hated chemistry. He scribbled out an entire problem that he'd worked out wrong and started doing it over, coming up with an answer that was no closer to the correct one.

Finally he looked at the time and sighed, seeing that he'd spent far too much time on one or two problems and was now far behind on the test. He rushed through the last page of the test, doing the best he could on what little he could remember, then flipped the test over on his desk. He glanced at the clock again and started getting his books together.

Jezz grumbled an incoherent reply, but it was obvious that she hadn't a choice. What was she in trouble for now? She didn't cheat. Was she in trouble for coming to class when she was sick? Ha thatd be the day, first reprimanded for not coming then getting in trouble for comming. She really couldn't win. Well if he thought he was going to b***h at her he had another thing coming. She could pull one of the poor me girl acts when she needed it at desperate times. And it would be quite easy with the way she was feeling now.

Kenjo grinned at Jezz, seeing her disgruntled expression.

"Relax, Juanaros-san. I'm not going to -ahem- make an a** of myself." he said, picking up Kenji and Kiria's test papers. "Murabayashi-san, you're free to go, Tsunagi-san, if you like, we can go speak to the dean after your friend is done with his test."

He turned back to Jezz as he sat on the edge of his desk.

"Jaunaros-san, I was looking over your records for your old schools. Surprisingly, your science scores, in particular, your chemistry scores, were remarkably high. While you have a certain...ah...charm about you, I must admit, I respect you, Juanaros-san. Not everyone can go blow-for-blow in a battle of wits with me. I would like to recommend you for the Astrology course."

He picked up a sheet of paper and held it out to her. It was an application of sorts by appearance.

"If you would like to take the course, fill out the bottom section of this paper. I already filled out the teacher approval and recommendation section. It really is a fun course. You can show up in your pajamas if you want, and its held outdoors unless the weather forbids it."

He nodded to Shimamura-sensei when he spoke. "Hai, wakatta. Thank you sensei. It's been a long time since I got taught by my dad."

He gathered his stuff and stood. He had seen the interaction between Cyndir and Sensei and he was curious. As he stepped out the door, he slacked against the wall and waited for Cyndir.

He wondered what Cyndir was into drawing. He had noticed the sketchbook, and his mind kept wondering on. Was he better than Michael was? Probably. Michael didn't find himself to be the best artist, though he had secured his style pretty well. His mind began to wander as he waited.

Kenji nodded and stood up when Shimamura said he could go. He picked up his books and started out the door, checking his watch as he went through the hall. Last class of the day.... Better check on Kotone. And then... homework, I guess. He shrugged inwardly. There was never much to do here, he thought. But oh well, he'd figure something out.

Kiria looked up towards the sensei.
"I...I don't think...thats nesessary" She said a little blushing.

Shuriku putted down the final answer on his test with a little sigh and looked towards Kiria.
"You better talk about this with the dean you know, i don't think their going to stop. Not even after those blue eyes i gave them"

Kiria looked down on the desk.
"O..Okay, I will go to the dean..."

Reiku peeked in the window of the dor, not daring to knock. He wasn't so stupid as to potentially interupt a class. He just hoped he could spot Michael, even if he couldn't get his attention.

His eyes quickly scanned the classroom and he smiled brightly as he found who he was looking for. His heart beat just a little faster at the sight of the boy, and his cheeks felt suspiciously warm. He gave an enthusiatic wave, hoping to catch Michael's attention.

Renji gathered up his materials and stood up from his seat, giving a slight stretch. Damn but this day was never going to end. He smiled over at Jezz.

"All done? We can go grab you a bite to eat then get you back to bed if you want. I know you still need your rest. I'm just gonna wait for you in the hall, I need to stretch my legs, ne?" He blew the girl a kiss before heading toward the door, unnoticing of the bitterly jealous glares of past flings.

Catching sight of Inoue waving in the door he gave a slight chuckle. Catching Inoue's displeased frown at that, however, made him laugh a bit harder. It felt a bit strange to be laughing.

"Oi, Yohokiro-kun.... looks like you have a visitor."

He looked up and grinned. "Renji-kun, arigatou." He got up and moved over with a huge smile. He opened the door, and nearly glomped Reiku. His books were in one hand and Rei's back in his other.

"Rei-kun, konichiwa! Kono hi wa dou da?" He beamed excitedly, seeing his beautiful love again. The day had been very long.

((Kono hi wa dou da? = How was your day?))

Renji waved off Michael's thanks, but couldn't resist the urge to blow Inoue a kiss as he left. He chuckled softly as the boy reddened and Inoue narrowed his eyes at him as he passed.

"Aww, don't look so mad, Inuzi. I'm not gonna try and steal your boyfriend. Just so happens I'm a taken man, these days. Super lucky, ne?" His dimples appeared as he wiggled his fingers in parting.

"Inoue," Reiku shouted after Renji, stomping his foot. "Inoue-Inoue-Inoue!Baka...."

The teen was still grumbling under his breath as Michael approached him. He irritation quickly vanished as he felt the boy's hand at his back and he smiled as though he hadn't been ready to pitch a fit just seconds before.

"it was class.... nothing much to say there, ne?" He giggled a bit, feeling so much better just for seeing Michael again. "So you all done here? You can go? If Motoki's done, you've got to be, ne?"

Sachiko jumped up from her desk at thesight of Reiku. If Reiku was here, then it stood to reason the Ariko was alone, at least for the moment. Her eyes twinkled as she smiled at the thought and began to hurriedly gather her belongings.

She paused briefly at Reiku, who was positively beaming. She'd never seen the boy so happy. He was obviously in love, and by the look on his face it was more than obvious who with. Well, that hadn't taken long. Hadn't she heard Yohokiro-san say he was new? Well good for him.... good for both of them. Though admittedly, she had no idea either boy swung that way.

"Um, excuse me, Inoue-san?" She bowed her head quickly in greeting to Michael, not wishing to be rude. ""By any chance, were you with Ariko?"

Reiku was surprised to see Sachiko there. He had no idea she and Michael shared a class. He nodded, spiky burgundy locks bobbing gently with the action.

"Hai, he's in the Student Union actually. Mooning over you, I believe." He giggled softly. "You've had qute the effect on him, ne?"

"Hai," Sachiko giggled with a nod. "I guess so. Though the same could be said for you, ne?" She giggled again as Reiku blushed. Wow, he seemed to do that a lot, she mused. "Arigato, Inoue-san."

Michael smiled after the girl. So she was Ariko's crush, huh? Nice. He giggled and looked at Rei, beaming too bland a word to describe. "Un! I'm done with everything until six o' clock. Then I have band. I wonder if you can sit in. I know that the band here hasn't been established long, the music teacher said so, but I guess you got homework, huh?"

He felt like he was tripping over himself all over again. He had to get out of this awkwardness. Here goes nothing. His free hand gave a swift smack on Rei's butt and he said, "How about we go and get something to eat. I'm starving."
