shuki582 Our director takes that position. Don't get me wrong, he's REALLY good, he's just soooooo annoying sometimes. He's so picky about EVERYTHING!! He'll tell us "Okay one more time and we'll be done." Ten minutes later we're still playing. And he has all these quirky little habits that are really weird (but really funny). Like he'll get right in your face and yell the noise he wants your instrument to make (oh man he did that to me and the first chair earlier this year and we could not stop laughing xd ). Or he'll make these really weird faces when he wants us to crecendo (sp?). It's funny xd , but annoying stressed Yes, the "one more time" legacy is in our band too ::sighs:: It's the big joke though. We all love our BD! P.S. I GOT WOODWIND SERGEANT TODAY FOR NEXT SEASON! WOOT~

I sonetimes feel like an a*****e to the flutes, but seriously! A ******** FLAT, YOU DUMBASSES!!!! scream scream scream scream You guys might have stupid flutes, but seriously! They're almost as dumb as the house dog! mad Could anyone knock some sense into our flutes? >.<

We have someone the complete opposite of that, she tries to make herself look stupid stressed its annoying cause she sits right next to me and makes dirty jokes about meh picc.

She was in my section too, but then she went to another school this year, thank God.
However, she's coming back next year.
I guess no one likes her there either...
But lucky me, I'm graduating so I don't have to deal with her crap! blaugh blaugh blaugh

The older ones of us in the marching band laugh cause we know when our directors say "One More Time" they really mean about 10 more times, so it's soo much fun to laugh at the rookies who actually believe them (yes I know we're cruel but we have to have some form of entertainment on the marching field).

yea we have someone kind of like that. he's a clarinet and i had to si tbeside him all last year stressed he doesn't exactly put you down but he'll try to tell you how to play your part even if he hasn't heard you play the part yet and doesn't even know if ur playing right or wrong. he just wants attention and he thinks he's better than everyone. he stole my solo this year! when we first got the piece we agreed that i'd play top and he'd play bottom. then like a month later he's like "no we agreed that i would play top.." omg i wanted to throw my stand at him but i didn't and let him have the solo cus hes graduating. but guess what? he screwed it up at our school blessing!! stressed

First off, I'll totally vouch for the "one more time" thing happening at every school. My goodness...
And yeah, there's this total a*****e of a kid in my section who thinks he's absolutely amazing. Nevermind that he'd be second-to-last chair if he hadn't switched to tenor, oh no. He always goes around telling people how much better he is than everyone else...especially me, for some reason...and they just reply,"Dude, Steven, the only person you're better than is Lawrence, who can't even read music. You suck." Then he just starts muttering to himself and goes away.

My section leader.
OMG. This guy would not shut up about what he thought was wrong in the band. Every day, he comes in and whenever the director does or says something he doesn't approve of, he turns in my direction and whines "Kill me now"
If another section is messing up, he complains outloud for all to hear, interrupting practice, to say what they're doing wrong. The director was constantly talking to him, mainly because our leader would go up to Wiebs and complain to his face. All he ever did was whine and complain and try to bring everyone down. One day, I tried to call him out and he pulls the BS asking if I want to be first chair. I knew there was no right answer to that one so I just said the truth, that I didn't. There wasn't much I could say or do because the b*****d was honor grad, leader that couldn't be touched with even a 39 1/2 ft. pole. Well. It's over now. I don't have to listen to his complaining every day anymore.

The band director's son did that all year long. Just because he was the band director's son, a senior, and has been in the all-state band his whole high school career he did whatever possible to make other people feel like they should drop out of band. I'm so glad he has graduated.

Unfortunately I have one guy like that in my band, except he knows he is baaaad. Chris goes around talking about how much band stinks, how much he hates it, and all sorts of other junk. Chris plays trumpet but his horn carriage suggests that he plays clarinet. He never listens to the band director, always jumps on others for their mistakes, and is an overall jerk. sad I'm going to be a senior next year, and he's staying as a sophomore... I'm gonna be stuck with him.

We have a sax like that. All he does is criticise. He really gets teh BD worked up and stressed out. He does just because no one likes him... Well, duh no one like you! Gr.... now I'm angry.

We had someone like that in my section. (he was second to last chair and thought that he was knew everything and was so much better than everyone else...) Me and the second chair person kept locking him in the storage closet ot make him mad. And then one day I got extremely mad at him, and was ready to rip his head off, we was literally screaming and yelling at each other in the band room. And then the next day he quit band! so woohoo. biggrin
Now I don't think we have anyone like that right now.
