Bad Wolf and Parting of Ways
Let me just say: "OMGflail" and "!!!!!!11!!!!1!"
We've been waiting for this one a long time in the States, even though thanks to internet spoilers we all probably knew what was going to happen.
The new!Daleks are terribly interesting, and I find myself hoping that a couple of them survive so that the Doctor can encounter them again. Of course, we saw how a Dalek exposed to human DNA can change in Dalek, so these Daleks could provide an interesting new enemy.
I still feel sorry for Mickey. Poor boy is still pining after Rose and she hardly notices him. But he doesn't let that stop him from helping. I wouldn't mind if he becomes a bigger part of later seasons or of Torchwood.
I still don't get the "bad wolf" reference. I get that it was the TARDIS, but why "bad wolf"?
A few points of discussion:
Does Rose know that she resurrected Captain Jack?
If the energy of the TARDIS "killed" Nine, why was Rose unaffected?
If the Daleks survived, could the Time Lords have done as well? And if so, where are they?

I loved tPotW! It almost made me cry, and that's saying a lot coming from me. Things like TV hardly ever makes me cry.
The only thing that bugged me was the fact that Rose was unaffected. If anything, she should have died. It's what makes sense. I've heard a lot of speculation about it. "I am the Bad Wolf." Could have so many meanings. What if she literally created herself out of the Time Vortex? That would explain her resistance to it. But still, great episode, I'm glad I finally saw it. :thanks internet spoilers: biggrin

Being made by the TARDIS wouldn't be much of change in the plan.

Star_Lily I still don't get the "bad wolf" reference. I get that it was the TARDIS, but why "bad wolf"? I never really found the whole "Bad Wolf" resolution to be very satisfying, mainly because at the end of PotW, there's no explanation as to why Rose would even pick those particular words. Maybe if they had chosen a different phrase... Star_Lily Does Rose know that she resurrected Captain Jack? I presume so, since he came back after she said something along the lines of being able to give life. One would hope that she also decided to bring back all those nuked humans on the planet Earth. Considering that nasty look Rose gave Lynda earlier in the episode, I doubt she got resurrected. Star_Lily If the energy of the TARDIS "killed" Nine, why was Rose unaffected? The Doctor sucked all that nasty time vortex energy out of her, saving Rose at the expense of his own life. If that explanation isn't good enough, you can pretend the Doctor resurrected Rose, the same way she did with Jack. I didn't see any mention of what they'll be showing next Friday on SciFi. Are they going to repeat the whole series again with "Rose", or is Doctor Who going to be replaced with something else? God, I hope it's not that Extreme Wrestling thing they showed a commercial for...

Heard a while back on the Sci Fi DW Board that there is supposed to be a marathon of episodes on June 16th. Unfortunately, I think they've chosen for some stupid reason to show the episodes US fans seem to dislike the most! mad (Except "Dalek", right in the middle.)
The board got 300 viewers at one point tonight! whee Also much sobbing going on over there tonight. crying

Rose has no memory of when she was the time vortex, and the doctor doesn't know Jack is alive.

Hairy Priest Star_Lily Does Rose know that she resurrected Captain Jack? I presume so, since he came back after she said something along the lines of being able to give life. One would hope that she also decided to bring back all those nuked humans on the planet Earth. Considering that nasty look Rose gave Lynda earlier in the episode, I doubt she got resurrected. Might have been impossible, what with the explosive decompression and all. Actually, I was thinking that it was probably only Jack who came back because it was really the TARDIS, not Rose doing the resurrecting. The TARDIS might only care about her passengers and might not even be able to help anyone else. Hairy Priest Star_Lily If the energy of the TARDIS "killed" Nine, why was Rose unaffected? The Doctor sucked all that nasty time vortex energy out of her, saving Rose at the expense of his own life. If that explanation isn't good enough, you can pretend the Doctor resurrected Rose, the same way she did with Jack. Sounds like as good a theory as anything, although that could have been explained better. I was thinking of the TARDIS energy as a sort of radiation; since the Doctor's been kicking around in the TARDIS for a lot longer than Rose, he's already recieved a high dose of it from the TARDIS and the sudden surge was enough to trigger a regeneration. Hairy Priest I didn't see any mention of what they'll be showing next Friday on SciFi. Are they going to repeat the whole series again with "Rose", or is Doctor Who going to be replaced with something else? God, I hope it's not that Extreme Wrestling thing they showed a commercial for... I think they're going to do a marathon of some episodes, maybe all of them. But I'm sending SciFi an email demanded they pick up the second season.

Crumpet Lord Rose has no memory of when she was the time vortex, and the doctor doesn't know Jack is alive. Well, I didn't want to mention anything that could be construed as a Spoiler, but in the Children in Need special... [[[SPOILER warning!!!]]] (This dialogue follows after the Doctor starts experiencing post-regeneration trauma) Rose: Look, maybe we should go back. Let's go find Captain Jack, he'd know what to do. Doctor: Ah, he's busy. He's got plenty to do, he's rebuilding the Earth!
