"Un...I didn't know he liked boys either...but you're right, it's not your business, or mine, or anyone's for that matter." Yuusuke shrugged.
He wasn't used to this...it was a long time since he had dropped his act, and it was almost making him feel uncomfortable just being himself...he wasn't sure what to say, how to act, even though in reality, it all came natural to him.
He took his breath in for a second, getting ready to say something...but what? Even he didn't know. "Wow...this is awkward," he remarked, averting his eyes to the ground. He heard the belltower in the background ring 11 o'clock. "So...um...when's curfew here anyway?"

"Hai...awkward..." she said absently. Her mind was wandering...
She missed him. Holding him in her arms. Waking up in the middle of the night to sooth a bad dream. Standing on her balcony, showing him the stars...
She sighed, hearing the bell-tower. It took a few minutes for her to register Yuusuke's question.
"Ee? Oh curfew...right..." she said, getting up. "Midnight."
She headed for the steps, not realizing she left her notebook with her equations behind her.
"Oyasuminasai, Yuusuke-san." she said, and was gone.

Yuusuke went to say goodnight, but barely had time. He shouted after her "You forgot your--! ******** it. Oyasumi."
He picked up her notebook, and walked down the stairs to his dorm room.

==========> from B-7
Ariko darted across the roof, weaving between benches and hurdling ashtrays as he mad his way to the eand of the roof. His feet skid on the gravel as he stopped in from of the last bench.
He glanced down at his watch and breathed a sigh of relief. "Ahhhh..... with a few minutes to spare."
He sat down on the bench and put his feet up on an ashtray. He slowly opened the jar and grabbed a handful of pennies. He placed the jar down and began flicking pennies off the roof, trying to make them bounce off the railing just before toppling to the ground.

"Who the hell is out there?" And why are you throwing pennies at me?!"
Ariko stopped mid toss and his jaw dropped. As long as he can remember, no one ever heard him tossing pennies off the roof. He stood up from the bench and moved to the edge. He laid down on his belly, and extended his head over the edge.
"Sa...Sa...Sachiko. Um...Hi....sorry about that, I was just trying to um...clear my mind." He was completely surprised to find Sachiko Shinohara staring up at him from her window. "So....how are you tonight? You look as beautiful as ever."
He knew Sachiko was just as big a joker as he was, and he waited for the smartass remark he knew he deserved.

"Sato-san? Ariko Sato? What are you doing on the roof?! Like shockings that much do you?"
"Shockings? Oh...ne, ne, for being here after curfew. I guess I never told you. No shocks from right here, the signal for both floors comes from over here, so it thinks I'm on the floor right now."
"You think I look pretty? So why the beautification technique with the coin? I never once considered adding a red dot to my forehead, as I'm sure I have now. So, am I cuter now? Or was that purely unintentional?"
"Well it was purely unintentional, however, it doesn't look bad on you. Ever think of becoming a Krishna? Just kidding, but seriously, you do look rather beautiful tonight. That's something I can't joke about, a girl like you would have any guy falling at her feet. Hell, just looking at you now makes me feel a little.....um.....nevermind."
His face blushed as he almost outted himself nearly immediately. He had always thought she was pretty, but whether it was the moonlight across her face, or the way her hair blew across the night sky when it was unbound. He really didn't care about any of it, all he wanted to do was stare at her all night long.

"Oi, Sato-san. You and that honey-sweet tongue of yours. I bet you say that sort of thing to all the girls, ne? Or are you going to tell me that girl you were kissing in the hallway is your long lost cousin and the two of you were just getting reaquainted. I must say I do detect a likeness with the hair, but that's not how I greet family. Could just be me, though. "
"Hey, don't go accusing me. That girl's running some type of game with Motoki, I was just used like a pawn."
"Who am I to judge, ne? I'm the 'baby-killer' after all."
"Well now, why are you so damn negative?" He made a fake frown face at Sachiko and continued. "Seriously though, I really do like you Sachiko. Maybe we can sit next to each other at the assembly, grab something at the union before class."

"Why Ariko Sato, are you asking me out, you're serious? Hai, Sato-san, I'd love to. Oi, Lolita! I forgot about her. Do you mind if I maybe bring a friend? I dunno if she'll wanna come but i can't just ditch her, ne?"
A wide smile crossed Arikos face as Sachiko accepted the invitation.
"Damn straight I'm serious. Why wouldn't I be? And Lolita-chan can come too if she likes, as long as you promise to sit next to me anyone you like can come."
Ariko smiled again as he realized what had actually happen. He really threw a lucky penny tonight.
"Why don't you keep the penny as a reminder to sit with me. It is officially a date now you know."

"Hai hai, I promise, Sato-san. I'll sit right beside you, ne? It's a date then."
Ariko couldn't stop grinning. Just the fact that she accepted so easily astounded him. He was surprised she'd even give him the time of day, let alone go out with him. She blew him a kiss that melted his heart. As the blinds closed on Sachiko's room, Ariko could see her silloutte as she changed her clothes.
"Wow, that girl's so damn hot. How the ******** did you do that Ariko? I'm not tossing anymore pennies. Don't want to ******** up a chance like this."
Ariko gathered himself off the ground and brushed the dirt from his blazer. "GOODNIGHT SACHIKO!!! SWEET DREAMS!!!" He yelled one last time to Sachiko before heading back to the bench. He capped the the jar and lay across the bench.
"No need to count stars....my dreams will be sweet all night." Ariko closed his eyes and fell fast asleep, thoughts of Sachiko's face hanging out the window, her hair caught by the wind. She was beautiful, and he hoped this wouldn't end up like the Jezz fiasco.

"Ariko....I think I've fallen in love with you..." As Ariko held Sachiko in his arms and stared into her violet eyes, the moment in time seemed to pause as they leaned into each other and they're lips met. He didn't want it to stop. Suddenly she pulled away and looked at him, her lips began to move. Ariko couldn't make out the words until...
"OOOOIII! SAAAA-TOOOO-SAAAAAAN! YOU AWAKE? STILL UP THERE?"
He eyes snapped open, nearly blinding him from the fresh days sunlight. He threw his hands to his face and fell off the bench onto the roof surface below. 'Sa-...Sa-...Sachiko!' Ariko scrambled to his feet and ran to the edge of the roof, leaning over the railing.
"Sachiko....Hey...." It was all his brain could push through his mouth at the moment. She looked just as beautiful as she did last night, if anything, the morning sunlight cast a glow across her face that made his heart seem to skip a beat.
"I....I....was waiting for you to....um....wake up....uh....I....um....wanted to make sure we were still on for the assmbely and after." Ariko couldn't wipe the smile off his face if he tried. He barely spoke to the girl outside of group conversation over the last two years. But right now, and the hours before on the roof made him feel completely different about the girl with violet eyes.

Hai, Sato-san, we're still on. That is, unless you've changed your mind... You haven't changed your mind, have you, Sato-san?"
"A pack of wild boars couldn't chase me off right now Sachiko, I guarentee you that. If I thought I could make it down there without falling, I'd come through the window right now." The smile on his face never faultered. He really wanted to come through that window and kissher right now. But he knew he'd better take it slowly, otherwise he could ruin everything before anything starts.
"I should really let you get ready, where do you want to meet up? Your room or mine? I hoped we could walk over together."

"Sato-san, you are so funny. You exaggerate so much. I suppose you're right, though. We can't very well stay here chitchatting all day, interesting as it may be. I'm gonna knock at my friend's door, to see if she's gonna go with me, so why don't we just meet in the hallway? See you then, Sato-san!"
"Okay, sounds good to me,..." Ariko liffted the lapel of his blazer and gave a quick sniff, "...I gotta hit the shower anyway, so I'll see you soon Sachiko." Ariko turned and took a step away from the railing as Sachiko ducked into the room. "BY THE WAY, CALL ME ARIKO, SATO-SAN IS TOO DAMN FORMAL SHINOHARA-SAN."
Ariko couldn't help but smile as he grabbed the jar of pennies and sprinted off to his room.

=======> from the Male Dorms : Ariko Satos Room
Ariko and Sachiko cleared the staircase and walked out to the open expanse of the roof. The gravel shifted under their feet as the made way across the top of the building, weaving through the benches and ashtrays set about.
"Right about......here." He stopped and pointed at his feet, smiling to Sachiko before guding her over to the bench. "That's about where the transmitter is, just off to the side of your room. Kinda funny, ne?" Before sitting himself, Ariko reached into his blazer pockets and removed the two bottles of soda and bags of gummi's they bought on the way up.
Looking up to the sky, he smiled before poiting out a constellation hovering above. "That's Orion's belt,....it's been out for a few nights now. Usually it's harder to see this time of year, but it's been really clear lately.

Sachiko placed her neatly folded kimono atp one of the benches before accepting the kiwi flavored gummies over the strawberry and taking a bottle of soda. Tucking both under one arm, she smoothed out the bottom of her skirt with her other hand and sat on the bench beside her garment. She took a moment to shove the marble through the lid before looking to where Ariko pinted.
"Oh, hai, I'd forgotten you take Astrronomy, ne? Super cool. Is it fun? Do yo like it? I couldn't get a recommendation in time to get into the class." She shrugged a bit. "I'm more into Astrology than Astronomy anyway, ne?"

"Astrology? So you're into reading palms and tarot cards to see the future, ne? That's pretty cool." He sat his soda on the ground and his gummi's beside him on the bench before looking back up to the stars. ... "You know,....they're both kind of related. All of the zodiac can be found in the sky, it's just hard to spot them sometimes." Ariko's eyes scanned the skies, hoping he could point out anything that would relate to the zodiac at all. He knew that they were hiding at different points of the horizon this time of year, so if he could find one or two of them, he could spot them rather easily.
"Oi, Sachi,....there's Cancer. You can see Sagitarrius too, and...." He pointed out formation after formation, his eyes lit up in excitement that would probably seem crazy to some people. Hopefully Sachiko didn't think he was too weird for being so excited over the stars.
