Journal Entry:
I saw Sissy again for the first time in some while yesterday. She spent the day with me, helping to muck out the stalls and clean tack. We talked about a lot of things. Mostly, though, we discussed the family. Everyone seems to be doing fairly well, but she seems worried about something.
Perhaps it's Kairi. She's grown to a child now, and I know that she has ever been difficult...yet Sissy says that seems incredibly mellow now. She offers no violence to anyone, and only practices her bow.
I suppose that must be why Sissy blanched when I showed her my handiwork. It is a lovely bow, but it must remind her of her problems. I shall have to make a venture to Gaia soon, and speak with Kairi. I am certain I can find some way to get through to her.

Journal Entry:
The King has put us all into high gear, it would seem. He has informed us that many of the once-gentle creatures of the forest have somehow been perverted by magic. More than likely, it is the Moon Court's doing. I cannot be coincidence that this has only just happened as the Moon Court has awakened. And indeed, it could have started as soon as they awakened. It is not as though there are regular ventures into the forest so that we would have come into contact with these beasts beforehand.
He found them on his quest for Ascension. I am not positive as to the nature of the Ascension itself, but whatever it is, it looks to have been successful. The King is impressively more powerful than he ever was, and has changed to appear even more staglike than was previous.
During this time, however, when he set forward to explain these dangers to us, another of the Moon Court's evil plans came forth. I do not know how or why, but they sent magic from their evil sorceress to our court, and now Equus and Pappila both have fallen its victim. They are but children again, the poor dears. We all, of course, are taking care of them in the absence of their kithain (for it has been long since Weasley or Eirnae has been seen in Tir nan Og.)
For now, I keep my vigil over Stormy. He is doing all right, but I should still like to have Ursa look over him. To be certain. I am no healer, and though his wounds appear to mend, there could be some very important thing which I am overlooking. I try, of course, but there is only so much I can do.
I have not gone to Gaia yet to speak with Kairinia. I think that it may be some time before I do. It feels as though things are starting to really happen around here. I have a bad feeling, I should say. I don't know what to expect, but I know that I expect it to happen soon, and that it would be better for me to be here.
I think that I shall go see if Filix wishes to continue our practice with sword and bow. Perhaps we will move to the horse this afternoon. I think it would be wise for both of us to practice fighting on horseback, as if we are forced to venture into the forest sometime, His Majesty has informed that mounts would be a proper cautionary procedure.

She had purchased them after seeing the mouse-fey's fascination with her newfound hobby. They'd been difficult to locate, tools of this calibre. She had her sources, of course-- her father did run a very popular shop in her home village and new many of the other shopowners. But, blacksmithing was not a trade often practiced by the moon elves in her village.
Still, she had found the tools, and she carried them in a carefully crafted box. The box was beautiful, of course. It had been hand carved by her father, decorated with images of horses and mice, just for Muris. He did love to spoil his 'grandchildren'.
Sighing, she peered up the rope ladder. She really would have to talk with Muris about that-- it was just difficult for people to maneuver if she were to have guests. The elf was quite aware that the frequency of the mouse receiving guests was small, but still.
"Child, how am I to come up this rope ladder with anything in my arms?" she called teasingly up at her.
Muris blinked, coming out of her reverie. She had been reading, actually, and therefore might as well have been in another world. She stood up, walking over to the hole in the floor, "Oh. Sissy. I'm sorry...I keep meaning to make a proper ladder."
She hopped onto the rope, climbing down it expertly, "I'll help you."
She offered a hand out for the box-- curious about its contents but willing to wait to find out. It was quite a lovely box in and of itself.
Shiaree smiled, handing the woman the box. She might not be able to handle climbing with an object in her hand, but Muris seemed to have got the gist of it.
Of course, with heavier objects, they usually used more of a pulley system. It just seemed pointless to do that with a box, even one as heavy as that.
She might have warned her that the box was heavy. Still, the mouse managed to clamber up the rope and settle the box safely on the floor by the hole, peering down, "Do you need help climbing, Sissy?" she asked, more teasing than anything. The elf may not have been nearly as agile as Muris, but she was agile enough to climb a simple rope.
The elf clambered up easily enough, "I can't stay too long," she said, adjusting her skirts carefully and picking up the box, "But I wanted to give this to you."
She opened the lid gently, revealing the beautiful blacksmithing tools within.
"I know you've picked up smithing, and I thought that perhaps these would help. They are the highest quality tools I could find. Masterwork, they're called. The best artisan in all the moon elf village made them for me."
She was quite proud of herself, really. It was a beautiful gift, and she knew the mouse would love it.
Muris gasped in delight, taking the box from her kithain and gently brushing her fingers along each tool. They were gorgeous, and just what she would have asked for, had she thought to.
She was certainly going to make good use of them.

Journal entry:
I went to Gaia with Sissy today. It was...an interesting experience. I find that she was not exaggerating in the slightest when she described the change in Kairi's behaviour.
Admittedly, I had not spent much time with the child beforehand, being in much danger with my small size and her difficult temperament, but even I can tell that something has changed, and it's not just her size.
She is a child now, and not just a toddler. However, she is also..kind as she was not before. She used to be quite angry, and lashed out at others..now she is calm and collected. I do not know if her work with bow and arrow had something to do with it, or the strange dreams she professes to have.
These dreams worry me, however. She described some of them for me when I was watching her with the bow, giving her advice. They are...disturbing. Most of them involve violence of the most gruesome variety, and some man in camouflage with dark hair and golden eyes not at all unlike her own. If they do not, they are calmer with a woman having brown hair and dressed all in shades of silver.
I do not know how to advise her on this. I do not know whether I should tell Sissy either. These were told to me in confidence, but I fear the child may need some help, and I cannot always be in Gaia to speak with her. She needs to learn to trust Sissy, and that is all there is to that.

Journal Entry:
Alcie is finally back. I cannot tell you how much I missed him. He came back in such disrepair...I was at Ursa's getting Stormy looked at (oooh is he in trouble, but that's for later) when he came back. His arm was bleeding so profusely...but Ursa managed to fix him up a bit before she passed out. And then we got a chance to talk when I took him to his room so that he could get some rest.
I cannot say how hard it was for me to leave. There are so many things that have been now cleared up. I love him. And he loves me. I suppose this means that we are courting now. He doesn't care that I'm just a stablemouse. He -really- doesn't care at all.
Perhaps I have been overly anxious about it. He loves me for me, and I can't say that I look on it any differently. I love him no matter his status, though it still terrifies me a bit sometimes.
Stormy does not like Alces at all, however. I had to have a firm talk with him, as he bit Alces on the ankle just before I left. I don't know what's wrong with the bloody badger. I mean, I love the creature, but he is so very grouchy and angry with everyone. I shall have to see if I can fix that somehow.
Ahh, time to practice my bow. As mentioned before, I had thought to take out Alucina and practice firing from her back. It occurs to me that doing something like that will be very beneficial in a fight, particularly as King Cervus has suggested riding our mounts should we have to go in the forest.

Alces had worked quickly, and quietly in his task. Starting from the outside and working his way in, he'd left the trail of vivid red petals that led all the way from around the corner of the stables, back into them, until the trail stopped just under the entrance to Muris' room. It had been a task to move through the stables without stepping on some loose board that could creak and give him away, but somehow he had done it, and he as he leaned against the guard rail of Orin's stable and admired his work, he grinned crookedly. It looked so silly, the crooked red carpet of velvet petals. He hoped she'd enjoy it.
He turned his head softly to the side, pressing it against Orin's for a moment in a gesture of affection. The horse took this chance to nibble at Alces' neckfur, and Alces patted his head before moving away quickly, so as not to give away his presence by giggling from ticklishness.
He edged back out towards the exit of the stables, before turning around and picking out one of the roses in his hands. It was then that he noticed two of the roses were now headless, and his eyes lifted and narrowed sharply at Orin, who whinnied innocently. Plucking out one of the ones that was still intact, he aimed as well as he could, and flung it at the entrance to Muris' room before scampering off.
He bit his lip, trying not to laugh in mischief. Sometimes he could be such a child about things.

Muris blinked. What in the world was that noise? She was trying to read-- she figured that whatever Shiaree had done with her when she was a child would be a good idea to copy for Aquae, and so she'd picked out one of the well-worn books on her shelf and had begun reading it for the little girl.
Aquae was unimpressed. Muris was continually droning on about some horse that apparently was special, though she couldn't quite grasp -why- the horse was terribly important. There was a noise, and the mouse's voice faltered and quieted.
Muris picked Aquae up. She couldn't very well go anywhere without the child-- leaving her unattended would be asking for trouble. The fey carried her over to the rope ladder, tossing it down and deftly scaling it with Aquae clinging to her back, "Hello?" she asked, then looked about. Her eyes grew wide when she noticed the rose petals.
"uh..."
She followed them, petite turquoise little-one still holding onto her back.

The trail of rose petals faded to pink once she was outside, curving around the stables all the way down the side. As it turned the second corner and led behind the building, pink intertwined with white until the color faded away from the trail and a pure white road led Muris and Aquae all the way around to the next side. This trail seemed to lead them in a full circle, as the white faded back into pink as it turned it's third corner, and then soon after melded back into the original red rose petals that surely waited for her at the entrance she had exited from not a moment ago.
Her carpet of red was not all that waited for her, as Alces leaned against the doorframe, hands behind his back. Sure, she had just made her walk around in a full circle for no real reason. In fact, when she finally managed to turn the corner back to the front, he would turn to her with an innocent, puzzled look.
"I was wondering where you'd wandered off to!"

Muris laughed, going back around to the front of the stable and spotting Alces instantly hanging about the door, "Oh you!" she shook her head, pulling Aquae around and setting the little one on the ground so that she could jump forward and hug the elk-fey tightly, "What was the point of all of that?"
Aquae toddled expertly, though still with that sort of toddler wobble, over to the pair, looking more curious than anything. She peered up at Alces, then settled for standing by Muris' legs and pressing lightly against them, as if to remind her that she was still about.

Alces caught Muris with his one free hand as she hugged him, a helpless smile tugging at his lips. Though he tried to continue the ruse, he failed miserably.
"Oh, you mean these things here on the floor? I was wondering about those myself when I got here.. perhaps you have a secret admirer."
He pursed his lips slyly and brought his other hand around from behind him, holding the ridiculously large bouquet of mixed flowers out to her. His eyes flickered to them for a moment, before double-taking as he noticed the two headless stems were still lurking about within. He let Muris go, snuck his hand around and plucked them out quickly before flinging them behind his back and holding the bouquet out to her once more, with a wide grin as it nothing had just happened.
A flash of color suddenly caught his attention as he realized there had been something, or someone, down near Muris' legs. He looked down, and his head cocked slightly. "Well now, who is this? I don't recall meeting you before.." He murmured, bending down only after Muris had taken her present, to be at eye level with the child. He held out his hand, palm facing upwards, and gave her a warm smile.
"How lovely to meet you, little one. My name is Alces."
