Luck lead the way off a bit. He stopped and looked at Mirage. "Why would you like Sun to join your fathers herd?"

He looked straight at the older stallion. To tell you the truth, we were going to have our own herd. But since I was raised.... differently.... I'm not sure how to run a herd. My father has agreed to let us stay until I feel that I am capable of being able to take care of myself and others. And this way, Sun can be somewhere safe while I am learning how best to protect her.

Luck nodded, glad he had looked him in the eye. It was a good sign. "Well, the only reason I ask is because it seems to have really made Averti upset to be loosing another child. If you don't mind, I'd like you to talk it over with her, and see if you can work something out to make her happy. I just hate seeing her upset."

He nodded. I can kind-of understand how that is. I wouldn't like to see Sun upset. I was hoping to talk to you both about it. Since we're not going to be going too far away, at least, not till our children are old enough to care for themselves. And even then we're still coming back to visit. Mom will worry if I don't.
