Joe Skase As he followed Leadstorm his suspicions that Leadstorm was the better driver were confirmed, if only because Leadstorm made sure he'd be able to keep up easily. Neither of them seemed to have any idea they were being followed. Joe certainly didn't, but then, he didn't expect anyone to follow him anyway. The sight that greeted them as Leadstorm indicated to slow down made him groan. Just what they needed.. additional company which would make his job hell. For a brief moment he wondered why he was helping, only to remind himself that there was an AI waiting to be greeted by him and despite the mutants and god knows what else could go wrong, the desire to greet the AI won. better driver and insane he thought as he watched Leadstorm destroy his bike before parking closer to the semi and getting out. "Impressive. How long before they come back?" ~Leadstorm looked over to Joe and responded. "Long enough if you're as good as you made chaos out to be." at that he opened the trailer door and walked inside. "Just the way I left you." he said to the bike, then turned to a tarp in a corner of the trailer and tossed it aside, revealing a .50 caliber heavy MG with underslung 40mm grenade launcher and a bipod with insta-rivets. "Okay, Chaos, you set up shop and I'll keep the mutants ogff your a**." he said as he let the rivets dig into the floor in front of the opening and wired his weapon port into the smartgun chip in the machinegun, readying himself for the first wave ofwhatever might want to get into this little bit of shelter and make the two of them a meaty snack.~

((Just.. you know.. shoot me if I ******** this up))
The time Leadstorm had indicated he had was a variable. It depended a lot on how advanced the AI he was looking at was and which particular rumour Leadstorm had been listening to about his abilities. At best, he'd have several hours, at worst, 30 minutes if that.
He nodded briefly then climbed back into his car and retrieved additional equipment from the glove compartment before reemerging and making his way over to the trailer.
"So you're the AI that's been giving that guy hell.. "
He spoke softly to the bike as he set the junk he'd picked up from his car on the ground next to the bike and pulled out what could only be described as a mess of cables before plugging some of them into various devices.
"How do you want to play this?"
He asked the bike, looking at it suddenly, as if he was awaiting a response of sorts from it.
"Who the ******** are you?"
The bike asked, giving Joe every indication that he was dealing with a male AI.
"chaos. I get to persuade you that the guy at the door's the good guy" He shrugged "or something like that.. "
It didn't matter to him if Leadstorm was one of the good guys or not, as long as the AI ended up responding to him at the end.
"The idiot who's stolen me?"
Joe nodded almost absentmindedly.
"That would be the one"
A light flicked on on the screen he was looking at indicating that it had finished loading. He then moved over to the bike itself and looked at the display panel.
"Feel like dazzling me with whatever normally lights up on your screen?"
"Why should I bother?"
"Oh.. I dunno.. maybe because you have the choice of making this easy for you.. or I could just use brute force.. up to you"
If there was anything like a sensor on the bike to indicate what was in Joe's hand, the bike would get the idea that when he said 'brute force', he didn't mean violence but rather, some nasty programs designed to get the job done.
((Yeah, I know, the post went nowhere, it was one better from hacking the AI in one move which would be unrealistic.))

~Leadstorm continued to scan the landscape for anything that moved or seemed out of place, but the rubble of the waste made perfect camouflage for any vehicles. He knew the mutants would be away for at least a few hours before the bravest of them would venture near the site of the explosion, but one could never be too cautious...

He watched the bike for a moment longer before placing the pda on the ground and retriving a small plastic bag from which he withdrew a set of black nylon gloves, thin enough to let him type with ease whilst making sure he didn't get his fingerprints on the machine he was looking at.
"So?"
He asked, giving the AI a last chance to play ******** you
"Have it your way... "
He mumbled running his hand over the section between the control panel and the seat before finding what he was looking for and using the screwdriver-like tool undid the panel he'd found there. He took one look at the wires underneath and smiled before pulling the pile of wires to the surface and looking at the back of the panel, in case there were instructions.
Instead of instructions, he found the mark of the creator of the AI. NemeSYSADMIN. He hadn't come across the name (or symbol) in a long time, though looking at it, he decided that taking the job hadn't been a bad decision. Not only was he about to play with an AI, this AI was created by someone who'd be considered his rival, if only because he worked for the corporation. To ******** over his creation was a bonus for Joe.
He ignored the bike's insults and threats as he meticulously separated the wires, cutting those that would stop the AI's ability to utilise the bike until finally, he was convinced that the bike wasn't going to go anywhere or arm anything or hurt anyone.
Moments later, he had his pda wired to the AI and lost himself in his work. Anyone in hearing range would now find that the bike wasn't the only one with foul language.

Anyone in hearing range would now find that the bike wasn't the only one with foul language. ~Upon opening the panel, Joe is shocked to see amidst all the higher technology, a set of wires held together by butt-splicers and electrical tape, where a universal anti-theft GPS system had originally been located. That was about as far as leadstorm was willing to venture into this thing's wiring without at least having a 'Runner handy. Between that and the dampening feild he'd set up in side the trailer, he had been pretty sure that the corporation wouldn't be able to track the thing down and take it back without his knowledge...~ ((sorry, retrospective post, scenario setting...))

((thanks.. oh, and I"m bored so I'm putting a bit more detail in until something happens))
He couldn't help but smile at the unprofessional handy work he found as he went through the wiring. It seemed that when Leadstorm had told him the AI wasn't connected to the 'net he'd been referring to the fact that even if it could, he had stopped it.
It was the only thing that had gone right so far. His swearing fit was a good indication that the first attempt to access the AI had failed miserably.
Rather than repeat his first mistake, he opted for running a scan on any known and some not-so known security holes the bike might have. He'd already attempted the most obvious one and failed and had little hope of the scan being successful.
During the time it took to scan he approached Leadstorm.
"You know.. there's a chance we could make it run without the AI.."
It wasn't his first choice as a solution but given where they were and him not knowing for sure how long it would take to input the information into the AI that Leadstorm wanted input, it was an option to put on the table.

"yeah, but the thing's hardwired into every part of the damn thing, the ******** bike won't even start unless the ai allows access to the ignition... thus is why you're here to wipe the crew manifest and production memory, and make it think I'm the only person in existance that it is allowed to do a damn thing for." He looked over his shoulder for a moment, back at Joe. "You aren't calling it quits on breaking him this soon, are you?" he didn't wait for a response, but went back to keeping a lookout.~

Chylde_Orchid ~Leadstorm continued to scan the landscape for anything that moved or seemed out of place, but the rubble of the waste made perfect camouflage for Mark's CENTAUR. He knew the mutants would be away for at least a few hours before the bravest of them would venture near the site of the explosion, but one could never be too cautious... ((I'm not in my CENTAUR, I'm using an Active Camo Suit so basically I'm cloaked like a ghost from Starcraft or like the people from Section 9 in Ghost in the Shell.)) Mark got up of the ground but, stayed low in a crouch and quietly moved his way forward to get a better view. Mark was not 100% sure of the AI in question, or what it looked like for that matter so he had to get closer. Mark stopped behind Joe's car and listened to see what was going on.

He seemed unimpressed as Leadstorm explained more about the bike and his reason for wanting Joe to work on it, once again, reminding Joe why he normally did not work for people, or if, then for a pay that was out of the reach of most.
But if Leadstorm wanted the AI to respond to only him, then he'd get the AI to respond to only him. At least, that's what it would look like to Leadstorm. No runner was stupid enough to not include a backdoor after all.
At the question of calling it quits, he shook his head.
"Yeah, I'm thinking about it.. delete the b*****d, put in a different AI and you've got your bike that will only listen to you minus issues"
Of course, a different AI would already have caved and let him play with it and whilst he wasn't certain, he had the feeling that using anything but the current AI wouldn't give Leadstorm all features on the bike.
To simply quit wasn't his style. The words were partly to give Leadstorm something to think about, partly to make sure the AI understood that he had no qualms with deleting it.
A quiet beep let him know the scan had finished.
As he moved back over towards the AI in question, he spoke to it.
"You heard what he wants me to do, you heard what I want... You start cooperating, we'll go with his plan..."
As he studied the results of the scan, he could not help but be impressed. The AI's creator had done his research and had made sure that most could not enter the AI and had hidden the backdoor Joe had expected to find.
He looked back over at the bike, deep in thought. <******** it, I'm re-writing it"
He finally exclaimed, only to be told by the AI that he couldn't do so with reasons as to why. Ignoring the AI yet again, he singled out another wire and cut it.
"The nice thing about AI's.. cut the speaker wire and they shut up"
He explained sounding happy now that the trailer wasn't filled with the sound of the AI's uncooperative voice.
Instead of doing anything more to the bike though, he sat down leaning against the trailers side and started typing, rewriting the code of a small program to suit the needs of entering the AI and confusing it enough to allow him access.
((Its going to take him a while to do))

Mark brought his gaze down the road, away from the van. He could see something bobbing in the distance. Then more came into view, and the numbers kept climbing. The mutants were coming, so Mark to cover under Joe's car and made sure to keep up his Active Camo.

He rechecked the ammunition in his machinegun and got ready for when the first of them would come in range. After watching the mutants move in for a little while he noticed something a bit odd about their movements. it was almost as if they were being herded toward him...~
