Mori watched as Ivy bravely approached Clash and the man he was talking too. She has asked to join them, She rolled her eyes and whispered," Here we go..."
MMori followed IVy's lead and approached them as well. She could sense that people were watching them all as she walked up to them. She summoned Aegis to protect and heal her in case of an unexpected attack upon her, she then asked for a protective ballot light that showed itself in a magenta light around aegis giving her a second barrier of protection. Both spheres of light glowed faintly around her and then seemed to fade out of view still in full force.

"Hopefully you don't mind if I join you all as well? She questioned as she positioned herself to the left of Ivy, keeping her between clash and herself. " My name is Mori," she said introducing herself after Ivy had. " Hello again, Clash."

From another end it seems the city might at last end where the built-up urban standard of living with it's square stone walls meet the inclining elevations of a mountain range. How long could the city still be standing. Maybe seem to not know, who was to say.

The Unknown strange foreign lady was still the outsider. Everyone so intent to get to somewhere. Locked behind closed doors as if that could provide more meaning. Or worse the too many who all flock to the need to be pennyless to rush to any near by bar and drink their woes away. As if any place like that could save someone.

The Unknown strange foreign lady knew very little of the area or even the perimeter of the city. As building and architecture were a blur that she could not see from the ground. Being so blan that it seemed no one in the city could even notice it and describe it. Only tilting her head up from with in her cloak with the hood up. That top garment of cloths covers her long pink hair and blue eyes. Her long dress was a color that could be noticed. City people all went somewhere, the lady was not confused that she might be invisible. While walking around on the outside. As the city blocks went on.

((Purrfectually, you feel like the first whom had even mentioned the city. So I thought I quote you. For in case you don't get any other reply. Play off that part.))

As Kalth did not reply, mayhaps being off in his own little world for the time being or simply enjoying himself and his drink, Clash decided to have a little fun and use a newly acquired—or evolved—technique, ‘the All-Seeing Eye.’ He shifted his attention to Eve. “In a hurry to leave so soon?” His silent smile became a chuckle as he spied on the other customers, too, from his vantage point behind the bar. “I like the staff,” he laughed. “What can you do with that!?”

He felt more than saw the woman who whispered to him go for her rapier, which only left him to grasp the handle of the ancient katana on his right side with his right hand, popping it slightly out of the sheath with his thumb.

Next up? ‘Purr,’ a fox demon or something to that effect. Feeling more the edge of the drink now, if she gave him any trouble, he would wear her pelt like that of the fox’s in his ‘general’s regalia.’

Then Mori, the girl from the fountain. “Not at all,” he replied with disarming charm in his voice. “Hello, Mori. It’s an honor to be in your presence again!”

He ignored the strange woman outside patrolling the city streets, though she did appear as an infinitesimal blip on his ‘radar,’ so far.

In a jet of crimson blood, a tail with a spaded tip emerged from the back of his pants near the tailbone area, waggling around a little bit. “…!”

"Then let us drink, let us be merry!"

In his life, he hadn't known anyone to do shots of beer, but if one or two were close to him, Kal would definitely partake. He considered it payback for having his ears toyed with like Inu Yasha's in their first meeting. Kal grinned as he found out quickly Clash had 'The Sight' and would answer, "It's poison that I use as armor. I didn't know what I was preparing for, so I prepared for combat." It would seem in that moment, a lady joined them as he was just about to tell Clash that yes, he had done battle and brawled quite a few times. He liked the adrenaline, which Clash would probably see that in the cat demon's eyes.

Something outside did happen, the doors opened, but no one seemed to enter. He paid it no mind. Plenty of spiritual things seemed to happen here. The woman he didn't know to call Ivy as of yet, starting to antagonize Clash a bit. His eyes followed the movement of her arm to a weapon and smirked. "Is a fight part of your recruitment process for this guild? Also, hello. Were you talking to me earlier? Trust me, you wouldn't had wanted to shake my hand in that moment. Kal or Kalth. Nice to meet you. So this is Clash." He'd grin a cat's grin at the lady who had came closer to the boisterous guys and mentioned not drinking oneself into a puddle, who was then followed by Mori.

Clash started to unsheath his katana, as she watched him coyly a smirk developed on her face. "Oh no, you don't," she said bumping into him slightly with her shoulder. She was not looking for a fight with Clash. She stepped closer toward the bar pulled her rapier out and set it upon the counter. She turned back towards Mori and looked her in the eyes, " This way there are no surprises." She took another drink before heading back to where she was standing between Clash and Mori. " She lifted her glass in Kal's direction,"I agree let's drink and be merry!" She said happily.

((I appreciate that I am new to rping honestly so I am hoping I don't screw it up horribly.)) Purr shifted her gaze through the windows of the tavern catching just a glimpse of a cloaked figure due to the contrasting pink flash of hair that jutted out as the wind had gusted for her to notice. "I wonder who that is out there, maybe I should step outside to introduce myself and see if I can find her." Purr heads back to the door and lets herself out before looking down the city block and noticing that this other traveler was wandering away. I start to walk after this cloaked figure and call out" Hey, hey you are you also new here?" Purr awaited a response to see if the stranger would be friend or foe.

The strange lady was a foreigner and an outsider, for sure. Not only from how she walks, and how she was dressed. Also in a cloak, but the lady felt like someone was talking to her. Having seen a few on the streets so far. Not like anyone who had crossed her path so far, though only those two drunks did pay for it.

So the lady stopped in her tracks. Not knowing the female voice and not use to responding to 'hey' but willing to give this being who was calling out a chance. Not seeing what door that the one calling out to her came from. The lady turn back to look that way. Being a bit of both friend or foe. Whipping around quickly, turning on her heels of her high heeled shoes and having bit of a hash stare from the lady's pair of icey blue eyes. Her words come out as a direct response, oddly not as judgmental as someone might expect. "Also? We are also new? My arrival is very new, having come a vast journey, from far across the sea. Having passed through a bit of landscape, till now seeing this new city." The lady's voice was calm and she was not sure what the question was for. Only knowing she would be ready if something happens.

((Anything would be cool. As long as when posting to not contradict everything in the pervious post, LOL. And the unexpected reactions how someone plays their role off the details are part of the fun. At least for me.

Also, thank you for the quote, that way I see a notification and know to come look.

Mori blushed as Ivy mentioned that we didn't want any surprises, " Heh, yeah that would probably be best for now." she replied wishing that she had never taken down her mirrored cloak. She watched as one of the patrons a girl, rushed outside as if chasing someone. She tilted her head slightly and could see through the wall of the establishment, the bar was not present in the same place in all realms of existence. She watched her chase down the woman that she had seen on the street previously down the block. Her attention snapped back into where they were standing in the bar when Ivy regained her place next to her. "That's strange, do any of you know the girl that just rushed out of here?" Mori asked. She swirled her drink in her hand and lifted it as well, " Yes.. Merry" She glanced into the man's eyes that had raised his glass first and smiled. " What brings you guys to the bar?" she said as she looked over at Clash holding her drink up still, " And in yours as well." She then quietly took a sip from the cup she was holding.

He smiled, haphazardly knocking another shot back, which made his chest and throat burn in a good way. “To good health and longevity! Ah,” he said to the look in Kalth’s eyes, “an adrenaline junky? Yes, if you want to be a part of the Guild, I must first ‘test’ you to prove that you are worthy!” His eyes flickered, roaming to the next person in the room, though he simultaneously seemed to see all.

Clash simply observed as Ivy gave him a seductive look. Perhaps drunk by now, she bumped into him for some reason, which he calmly ignored. Out came the rapier, which Clash responded to by tightening his grip on the hilt of the one katana out of two upon his person.

Mirroring Mori, Clash half-shook, half-swirled the liquid in his glass a la a feint punch in the sport of combat sambo. “I’ve come from quite a battle. Just needed a place where I could cool off. What brings the likes of you to a place like this?”

Darius stepped through the northern gate of Barton Town, the sun casting a warm, golden wash across the stone walls as the clear blue sky stretched endlessly overhead—calm, open, and bright enough to sharpen every color around him.

A faint breeze rolled in first, carrying with it a blend of scents—freshly baked bread from a nearby bakery, the mineral coolness of the stone fountain at the town’s center, and the subtle sweetness of wildflowers growing just outside the village walls. It all struck him at once, mellow but vivid, grounding him after days on the road.

His boots thudded against the cobblestone path, each step echoing lightly between the shops and homes. Barton Town was small, but life pulsed through it. To his right, a cluster of townsfolk gathered outside the jewelry store, its windows glittering with silver and gemstone pieces that caught the daylight like tiny stars. Laughter from inside the Love Shack drifted through the street—soft, mischievous, almost musical.

Darius’ senses were heightened as always—his metahuman biology tuning him to every flicker of motion, every heartbeat within his awareness. He felt the warmth of the sun on the back of his neck, tasted a faint metallic tang at the air’s edge—his own venom glands reacting subtly to the shift in calmness and new surroundings. He drew a slow breath, letting his breath-filter mask bounce lightly against his chest.

From the bar ahead came the clatter of mugs, a husky voice shouting a joke, and a burst of applause. Children’s footsteps pattered near the fountain, their laughter bubbling over the low splash of water.

The atmosphere was both inviting and oddly fragile—peaceful, but with that thin veil of vulnerability small towns always carried. Darius picked up on it instantly. A place worth protecting. A place oblivious to what walked among them now.

He loosened his shoulders, eyes sweeping along the rooftops, then down the main road cutting through the town like a gentle artery.

Barton Town breathed, and Darius breathed with it—curious, alert, and quietly moved by the simple warmth this place radiated.

And for the first time in days, he felt something ease inside him.

A place like this…

…could almost make him forget what he truly was.
Small vendors were already prettifying their booths for the evening market, hanging decorative charms that swayed gently in the breeze as Darius walked past. For a moment, the simple effort to beautify the town made the place feel even more alive—and strangely comforting to him.

Different species of townsfolk moved through Barton Town with an easy rhythm, their voices mixing into the warm afternoon air as Darius observed quietly. The sturdy stone architecture around him—weathered yet proud—felt like a testament to a place determined to endure.
