Drawing my dream backpack would require too much of a schematic and didn't feel like that. I decided to put a backpack on an animal. I drew the cat first and then realized I wasn't thinking -- you won't see much of a backpack with this angle. XD; Oops. So it became a sling bag cuz I didn't want to redraw the cat. XD;

Comments: This is a result of running out of time.
I would've had time to make a nicer drawing today... and planned to do so. I started this drawing earlier in the day. This is just the loose sketch; I planned to line it. (Aw, forgot its wings) Instead, I added flats to it to meet the minimum.
I had big computer issues. It was stuck in a blue screen loop at startup.
Good news is that I think it might be solved. Bad news is⦠that took hours (was faulty hard drive)

A few years ago, I did the majority of my 100Day submissions using my left hand (nondominant hand). I got pretty damn good at it. Well... "good" to the point that my lefthanded drawing looked close to my righthanded drawing... it just took longer.
I didn't keep it up, so I've lost the skill.
I purposely went into this planning to draw easy shapes. I've also got an advantage with digital art: the ability to delete. I did delete some strokes that were just too crappy to keep, but I accepted most to keep this fair.
I had to keep adding s**t to fill time. I started with the ripples, then lily pads, then fish, then ducks. I added the shadows with each iteration. And I was disappointed as I went that I still hadn't filled 15 minutes. XD (The shadows were added by duplicating and shifting layers... but that's what i would've done if I were drawing regularly too)
At 13 minutes, I finally gave up. I set a 2 minute timer to see how much I could copy with my regular hand. Not much. XD; I shouldn't have gone for the lily pads since they were hand-filled and soaked up time. (Everything was hand-colored in aside from the blue bg layer)

Comments: I wanted to draw a candy/food drawing for the Valentine's Day prompt. I didn't find any inspiration I liked.
Since I was locked into drawing food, I checked the "FoodPaintChallenge" on IG. I haven't done any in a while. Their Easter prompt was a pic of 3 gummy bunnies. I thought replicating the light that filters through the bunnies would be fun.
Thing is, once I started drawing... I didn't feel like being so meticulous. @ .@ It wasn't fun anymore. I stopped when the 15 mins was up.
It's a WIP, but idk if I'll return to it.

I'd originally planned to redraw everyone's entries since I had time to draw today. I was toying with the idea of swapping outfits... but also redrawing. Would've probably done half-bodies. I read the prompt again last night and realized it didn't technically say we had to redraw the OCs. (thanks to Pie for confirming.) >3 I knew what i had to do
I wasn't trying to draw in each person's style... I just wanted the clothing to fit the bits of the original drawings that I kept in the image. I worked on and off throughout the day. I needed the breaks. XD;

Ako & Pie: Thanks for keeping your outfits simple! I saw that you both drew similarly-shaped dresses so I couldn't resist the obvious swap. XD
I'm just now seeing how light my Ako upload is. I can't make it darker without tracing and I'm just done for the day. > <;;
Yellow & Mine: LoL. I wouldn't normally include my own drawing on a SC Day2, but XD; I figure this worked out. Generally, I tried to not alter the outfits much. However, I felt the duck and cat pin were too specific to myself. I swapped them to a lemon and a leaf.
You'd think redrawing mine would've been quick but only my base sketch kinda had the shapes of the body sans clothes. And I didn't think I'd be reusing the art, so I merged all my line layers... I had to redraw and color quite a bit. The final version also used to have a longer torso that extended past the bottom of the sign. ...It didn't look good with the face I'd drawn, so I chopped that off. So wasted time there XD;
Kumi & Quad: W T F. Here I was thinking I'd added a lot of extra little details and both of your entries were crazy. XD;
Kumi, when I started to draw the new outfit, I started with one fancy sleeve and went to draw the other... and thennn it dawned on me to take advantage of the symmetry. Thank goodness. @ .@ I drew the candy outfit before I drew your outfit on Quad. Your outfit was deceptive XDD I didn't realize how many details there were until I was drawing and it was never ending. DX
Quad; You wrote that you didn't have time to do more than flats -- I'm glad. XDDD I mean, sure, I tortured myself by redrawing your crazy candy outfit... but by the time I got to this new outfit, I was out of steam. I'm so glad I didn't need to shade anything. @ .@ Heck, I didn't even put in as many hashmarks that should've been on this redraw. I was done. XD;
