Trent would have tried to push off the turnbuckle, but Cartwright was grabbing on to the ropes for dear life. Trent had the headlock, and looked to apply pressure, but soon Trent's exposed position would be taken advantage of as Cartwright would deliver some vicious strikes to the gut of Trent. Softening the hold as, the World Champion would sit back, holding his gut.

Cartwright looks relieved as Trent's grip is loosened around his head, he was almost in for a rough ride!
The Lad takes a look back at the chair, the crowd encouraging him to punish Trent, so he joins the champion on the second rope and looks to flip him towards the chair with a hurricanrana!

Cartwright would come up once again, looking to strike while Trent seemed out of it. Climbing up and looking to hit a hurricarana from the top rope. But Trent held on to the ropes as well.
So there they were, Trent hanging on the ropes, and Cartwright hanging on to Trent with his legs in a very precarious position. Trent would begin to bring his arms up as it seemed like Cartwright was in prime position for a powerbomb off the top rope. Aiming for the chair!

Cartwright would be left in half a rotation, his body upside-down as Trent holds on, looking to reposition in to one that suits the champion.
Trent grabs Cartwright and lifts him up in a powerbomb position, ready to throw Cartwright towards the steel chair.
But as he does so, Cartwright looks to use the new heightened position to his advantage, aiming to flip Trent with more momentum!

Trent would dive with Cartwright in position. But Cartwright would wind back and get enough rotation to execute the hurricarana in the air. Sending Trent into the chair back first along the seat. Breaking the legs under it from the amount of force meeting with the object.
Trent would squirm after being swung into the chair from the maneuver. Possibly pulling or tearing something in his back as breathing and moving became a large task.
Drogan: "Oh no, the poor champion seems out of it!"
Nigel: "This may be Cartwright's chance, if he can get to the cover!"

The crowd roars as they see and hear the collision of Trent meeting the steel chair, along with its aftermath!
After landing on the mat, Cartwright crawls towards Trent for a pin, thinking that he has done the damage necessary to end the match!

TWO!
After the two, Trent would somehow find a way to shoulder out. Forcing him to the side, as he would begin to take in as much air as possible.
Despite having the wind knocked out of him and a possible tear in his back, Trent would show that this championship and this match was above himself and his well being.
The crowd would be in awe after the kick out as it was obvious both men were running on fumes

Cartwright looks shocked as the referee shows him two fingers to signify two seconds, what next level must he find to defeat Trent tonight?
The Lad remembers something and has a look of inspiration on his face.
The challenger looks to bring the champion up to his feet, so that he can work Trent's back and make him quit to the best wrestling submission, the torture rack!

Trent would get forced back to his feet by Cartwright and lifted into the air with his back pressing into the shoulders of Cartwright.
A bad position as now Trent was locked in for the ride, and one can only guess how bumpy it was going to get. And seeing he still hadn't recovered from the huricarana to the chair, it was definitely going to be all but smooth.

The torture rack gets applied, the crowd cheering for the legendary move made famous by Lex Luger.
Cartwright looks at the referee, who does not signal to him that Trent has tapped-out, so he attempts the finishing blow by turning it in to a Cartwright Crash Burning Hammer!

Trent would not tap, and this obviously built some frustration in Cartwright as he looked to execute his Burning Hammer! But instead of crashing and burning by way of Burning Hammer, Trent would throw himself fast enough to get his footing and land from the attack. Stumbling to the ropes as he narrowly evaded certain defeat.

Trent resists the death blow by over-rotating in the air, landing on his feet and then trying to find a safe distance between him and Cartwright.
Cartwright doesn't want to give-up the momentum, as he charges towards Trent at the ropes with a Stinger Splash!

Trent would have caught his feet, but Cartwright would catch him as Trent looked to dodge, but stumbled. Getting hit with a big splash against the ropes as he would be drove into the ropes and have the back of his head smack the cage. Causing him to drop to a kneel once his body wasn't smooshed.

Cartwright looks at Trent as he kneels on both knees, the collision in to the cage putting him in to this prone state.
The Lad wants to lay Trent flat on the mat, as he prepares to climb the turnbuckle!
