Down went Cartwright. The crowd cheering for both men, but still you could feel the desire of the crowd to see a new first time World Champion.
But Trent had other plans, making his way to the turnbuckle, the Initiator would throw a few rights at the slumped Cartwright who wasn't having the best day after taking a devastating bump onto the family jewels!

Cartwright may have had all his focus on the pain in his lower region, but Trent makes sure to spread it about as he cuts Cartwright's forehead open with his punches!

Nigel: "Do you see that Drogan?"
Drogan: "It looks like the blood of Cartwright has been spilled after those nasty strikes from Trent!"
Trent noticed it after the second punch, the drip of the warm fluid running down his fist more and more after every connection.
Finally, Trent seized from striking the crimson masked Cartwright, and began to climb the turnbuckle! The crowd getting more vocal as it seems like the end might be near!

The bloodied Cartwright remains on the mat, his face looking like he's been in a car crash, as the crowd gasps and encourages him on!

Staring down, Trent would give a bit of a shimmy for the late Eddie before diving off the top rope for a big frog splash!

Trent leaps up high and drops all of his weight on top of Cartwright, both men bouncing on the mat from the impact!
Drogan: "Trent succeeds where Cartwright failed."
Nigel: "I'm sure being crotched couldn't have been helpful for the latter!"

Not a move Trent would normally go to, but all the same, it was effective. While Trent held his chest after hitting the maneuver, feeling the effects of the move. One could only imagine how Cartwright is feeling after all of the damage within the last few moments.
And with that, Trent looked to take advantage, diving back on top of Cart and looking to hook both legs for the win!

Trent covers Cartwright and hooks both legs of his bloodied opponent.

TWO...
THR...
NO!
The crowd is on the edge of their seats, they thought a new champion was about to be crowned after that punishment to The Englishman!

Cartwright would throw the shoulder up at the very last second leaving not only the crowd surprised, but Trent.
Rolling to his side, Trent would hold his chest as he had to think of another move to put Cartwright down for good.

Cartwright nurses his chest on the mat, as it took the brunt of Trent's frog splash!
The Lad begins to crawl towards the ropes, wanting to use them to return to his feet!

Trent would push against the mat and get back to his feet with his own power. Turning back to Cartwright who was just beginning to fight back to his feet despite the nasty amount of damage he has received.
Feeling bad, Trent would bring his lead foot out front and bent over slightly. Sizing up his opponent as if he had another big move locked and loaded for Cartwright when he completely gets up and turns to Trent.

Cartwright has crawled to the ropes and use them to get to his feet, one rope at a time, slow and steady.
The Lad looks roughed-up as he turns around in to a waiting Trent!

Trent tries to finally execute the man in front of him. Preparing and launching a superkick with every intention of this being the last move of the night!

It looks inevitable, but at the last second Cartwright backs his head away enough to whiff the superkick, returning fire with a spinning heel kick towards Trent!

Just like that, a flip was switched in his competitor. Trent did not see Cartwright moving, let alone, so fast out of the blue. That's why the spinning heel kick would connect and knock Trent to his feet leaving him stunned.
