Quiana tilted her head. Spark? “Magic?” She repeated quietly, taking her needle out and tying up the wound so that Cahira could sit back up. “Keep this ointment, you can use it whenever you refresh your bandages.” The Elidae advised as she started to wrap up the wound, not caring that she was depleting her medical supplies to help out.

“Is that what happened?” Xylia glanced back towards the building. “I guess that's good timing then.” She mused as she crossed her arms thoughtfully. “Those smugglers came from that ship, I should have been more careful.” She admitted, giving Cahira’s hand a squeeze and letting go as she finally sat back up.

“Mmhmm.” Cahira tried to sound optimistic even though her side was in agony. “Well, Ezili learned she has magic and then we got rid of the rest of those smugglers for you.” She managed, trying to make light of the situation so that her friend would not feel quite so bad. “We should try to check on Sybil.” She added, her expression shifting towards worry as she thought about the animal handler.

“Yeah.” Ezili straightened her shoulders, a hint of pride flashing in her gaze. She couldn’t wait to tell Zeri and the others! What would they think? Finally a magic user in the family of rangers! She just hoped her sister wouldn’t be too upset…then again wouldn’t it be great if Zeri managed to find magic too? Ezili could only hope.

“If they came from that way then I would think she’s in the back building.” Commented Quiana quietly, her expression shifting from amusement at Ezili’s excitement to concern as well for the animal handler. “If you feel like you can stand then we can go.”

“Can you stand?” Xylia held out her arms to help Cahira up, if wanted. “Just take it easy.” Despite how everyone seemed to not be blaming her, Xylia still felt guilty. It didn’t matter if the rest of the smugglers had been captured if it had cost Cahira! She was her friend and dammit, Xylia worried!

“I can.” Still, Cahira relied upon Xylia to help her stand. While she did wobble a bit, after a few steps Cahira found her balance again and just endured the pain. “The ointment is helping a lot, thank you.” She managed with a smile towards the Elidae. She owed her a lot for the help, she would definitely be doing her best to introduce her to Noelani once they went back to the dance academy.

“Slow and steady, Cahira.” Encouraged Ezili as she took to Cahira’s other side to offer support if needed. Her bright gaze was still roaming the area, just in case, and she let out a sigh of relief as they moved forward towards another building that was thankfully full of xaraan and not bandits.

Quiana walked in front of the others, tracking whatever she could as she led the way towards where she figured the animal handler was. There was some blood lingering on the path, the smugglers probably dripping from it when they had hurt the girl’s arm but it was also good since it helped her to find the Oban girl quickly. “Are you alright?” She asked quietly, approaching carefully as to not startle the Oban girl who was sobbing in pain and clutching at her arm. Her tunic was torn, her arm bloody and her legs tucked beneath her as she leaned against a wall for support. This Sybil definitely had been roughly handled and it made Quiana’s blood boil. Were earthlings always such delicate things? She hated it and felt so bad for the Oban. No wonder other Aishans preferred to protect them instead of being bullies like the Extremists.

While they walked forward Xylia kept a hand on her blades to make certain there were no surprises. Her body tensed as they walked into another building, but thankfully this was a wider one since it was a stable for xaraan. The creatures were a comforting sight, Xylia thankful that the smugglers hadn’t tried to make off with them. It wouldn’t have surprised her if they had tried though, probably the group was waiting until after capturing her to continue wrecking this place.

“Damn.” Cahira tried to rush forward before realizing her own injuries again. “I’m so sorry, Sybil. We took care of them. Are you going to be okay? Our friend Quiana here can bandage up your arm….oof.” It looked broken, it was broken wasn’t it?
“Cahira.” Sybil smiled weakly. “I probably won’t be riding any xaraan for a bit, they broke it.” She confirmed with a glance towards her arm. “I’ll take the help though.”

Ezili winced at the sight. “Quiana can definitely help, right?” She had done so much to help out her aunt so surely she could take care of this! The teen glanced around, deciding to peek in between stalls just as a precaution as they waited so that Quiana could help out Sybil. Thankfully the only things to greet her were the xaraan, some which tried to peck at her hair like it was a treat. “Hey, stop that!” She swatted at one, but the smile on her lips proved that Ezili was having more fun since the creatures were cute. A peck from a xaraan was a much better option to a smuggler’s blade.

“I’ll help.” Quiana confirmed as she settled in next to Sybil. “This will hurt, so brace yourself.” She began and waited for the Oban to nod before snapping the arm back into place. As she prepared a splint out of her supplies, thankfully a piece of wood was nearby from the smugglers breaking in, the Elidae described what she was doing as she finally wrapped up the arm and secured it against the Oban’s chest. “I would find a healer though to make certain it was placed properly. I don’t have that much experience, I’m relying upon basic training that my mentor taught me.”

Xylia watched the Elidae helping Sybil before wandering after Ezili. “You alright?” She asked as she peered into the stall where the girl was rubbing a xaraan’s beak. That was right. They were supposed to be getting mounts today…would that even be possible still? She frowned at the thought, peering back towards where Sybil rested.

“Thank you, Quiana.” Cahira spoke quietly before holding out a hand and helping Sybil up. “What a disaster…” She began but Sybil shook her head, cutting off whatever statement or apology Cahira was going to offer.
“I don’t know why they came here, I’m assuming it has to do with your mysterious friend over there but I can’t blame her. They were thugs, pure and simple, and I’m glad you took care of them.” Sybil admitted with a soft sigh, wincing as she shifted her arm. “Still, we had xaraan to look at. Are you still interested?”
“Of course! But are you certain?”
“Why not? A broken arm won't stop a deal. Just follow me.”
