Salem knew he'd narrowly avoided disaster, but his relief was tempered by the knowledge that Drako was starting to stir and he wasn't yet ready to take advantage! Gritting his teeth, Salem slapped his ailing leg, shaking it loose as he started stirring at the count of five, trying to get across the canvas to the ropes opposite Drako as soon as he could, hoping to get on his feet before his friend made foe!

As dueling chants raged throughout the crowd in support of both competitors, Salem's senses and stability were starting to return, whether from his passion to win this match, the adrenaline from so much exertion, or the cheers of his fans in attendance, it couldn't be said! But Salem was still stirring, almost beat for beat in time with Drako as the two men struggled to and up the colored cables!

Now with the referee reaching a count of six, Drako rolls again to get closer to the ropes. As the count continues, he reaches the ropes and extends his hand, grabbing the second rope to begin pulling himself to his feet again

Drako finally manages to pull himself up to his feet entirely and leans back against the ropes realizing the referee had gotten up to a count of nine. He can hear the cheers and chants of the crowd a bit better now as he realizes he'll have to bounce back in a major way to put Salem down, as he would likely have been pinned there if Salem had gone for it

Salem was back up to his feet before the count of ten, his leg manageable enough to keep him upright while Salem breathed a bit labored and looked on at his comrade turned competition across the canvas! With the crowd on their feet with them cheering them on, Salem smirked and chuckled, shaking his leg out as he reached out with one hand, holding a thumbs up at the Young Dragon, seeing his own fire reflected in Drako's eyes!

Drako brushes his hair back from his face and forces himself to step forward. The fight isn't done so he can't just lay on the ropes and hope for the best. With any luck Salem will meet him in the center of the ring

Salem brought his thumb to his throat and drug it across his neck as he started towards the center of the ring with Drako, unsure how the next sequence of events would unfold but knowing he'd have to do something drastic if he wanted to win and come another step closer to his long-time dream! The crowd was fired up, cheering and chanting as the pair of athletes approached each other, poised to meet on the WWFG logo at the center of the canvas!

Drako is rather determined to be the champion once again, and he figures it's time to go big or go home. That being said, as they meet in the center of the ring, the Soaring Dragon would look to clock with a quick left then right jab combination, which he would cap off with another knife edged chop across the chest

Salem took the jabs in stride, the familiar sting of a chop almost felt refreshing after what he'd endured in this match! He grunted upon impact, taking a step back as Drako connected with it, but grabbing the extended wrist of his opponent in the process, twisting and arm dragging the Young Dragon forward into a stiff chop of his own, Salem looking to further abuse Drako's chest muscles!

Drako finds his arm caught and he's pulled in towards Salem. He'd been counting on something equally aggressive in response, so he ducks under Salem's arm, attempting to get around behind him to catch him in a release german suplex

Drako snuck under Salem's arm and started trying to lift him up and over his smaller body with a suplex! But Salem was well versed in such maneuvers, instinctively rolling with the heave and actually pushing with his feet to better elevate and transition through the toss into a three pointed stance behind Drako! Lunging forward, "The Copperhead" sought to take the Young Dragon's legs out from under him with a chop block to the back of the knees!

Drako got back to his feet, at the moment sure his suplex had gone through. Imagine his surprise when instead his leg gets chopblocked from under him and sends him crashing backward to the mat, clutching his knee

The Salemaniacs in attendance popped as Croft cut Drako down by the back of the knees, sending the former world champ to the flat of his back in surprise! Salem pushed himself up quickly to a vertical base while his foe was still stunned, wanting to hurry up and seize advantage!
Leaping up to get high as he could off the canvas and crash down on the Young Dragon, the "Gypsy Savage" attempted a dagger of an elbow drop aimed at Drako's ribs and sternum, wanting to soften his lungs up with a blow carrying all of Salem's weight!

it's not a bad strategy to go away from what's expected, and instead of focusing on Drako's leg, Salem aims higher, driving an elbow into his sternum and knocking the air from him, reflexively, Drako rolls slightly to his side but remains on the mat

Salem's leaping elbow delivered, nailing the Soaring Dragon in the sternum and making the man turn to his side to alleviate the pain! But "The Copperhead" wasn't done yet, rolling into Drako to put him on his back once more, using his shoulders to leverage Damone's down while he hooked a leg for a cover!
