I've been gone from Gaia for a good long while because of life, but I didn't expect the RP scene to be so dead when I came back. I'm honestly quite astonished by how diminished it all is. When I signed back on, I was really hoping that I would find some of my old circles still active, but it seems that many people disappeared when I did.

That has been the case for me, too. :yawn: I am trying to revive and reunite some of the old community members.

Aye, I did see that. After I found all of the peeps over at HvH were gone I started wandering through threads I was a part of that I was still subscribed to. You probably saw me posting in Sigil - I was hoping if I started posting there some people would come out of the woodwork and be able to get something going again. I saw your post in the "Gaia Mainstream" thread trying to get your thread added, but it seems they're also no longer active. Thankfully I got ahold of a few of my old circle, but it seems some are too busy or no longer interested in coming back, while others are RPing on other websites now. Would be nice to see some life breathed back into the RP scene here on Gaia. This site is what got me into RPing in the first place - would hate to see the original RP scene disappear.

Two of them went to HyruleCastle dot org. Though they admit they haven't really been active there for a while because of their lives. Another went to some site called White Sand Empire. Kain is looking for Avery. Another character I would RP with while also RPing Kain at the same time. There were some advantages to doing two RPCs at the same time and I had wanted to try something new at the time. I had also killed off my main RPC at the time, so Kain and Avery were new characters. I needed a plot reason for Kain to head to Sigil from HvH, and I don't really want to try and get back into things having to deal with two characters at the same time so it seemed best to have him needing to find Avery after the events of HvH. Thank you for the compliment on my characters, but I do have to admit my journals for them won't be accurate anymore. I've only gotten back about two days ago - I haven't had time to change anything on my end, and I wasn't sure if Gaia had anything for me anymore (or if I would even enjoy writing for RPs anymore) and I am very rusty so I am aiming to start fresh. I don't think I will keep my characters the way they were. I'm debating whether to get involved in the tourney. I'm very rusty, and I probably would not fare well if I'm going to be completely honest. I haven't looked at the rules for the tourney, either. What're the posting restrictions? The time frame for someone to reply before a fight is forfeit?

Ah. What is HvH? I think you would do well here! You could always spectate for a while to see if you want to join in the fray or not. As for the tournament rules, all limits are off, since it’s Tier 1. But, I would ask for at least one paragraph per post, keeping in mind quality comes before quantity. Epic posts are okay as long as they are not used to make up for a lack of skill. As for a timeframe, I am thinking each poster’s reply should be in by at least one week (seven days) from their opponent’s last post, but if things get really interesting, i.e. worth the wait, a time extension could be allotted, sir. 3nodding

Ah, sorry. Heaven vs Hell. Started off as a thread, and became a guild. Many of the people involved in that were in circles of Gaian Mainstream. (at one point I think there was some coordination) We were story-focused, but there were tournaments and everything as well. A post a week is pretty reasonable, and the other aspects you're asking for seem fair as well. Considering how long ago some of those people posted saying they were in, are you sure they're still available for it? I saw you had tried previously with the "Chosen" and it appears no one joined.

Sadly with the death of Towns it is hard to find people to do things with on Gaia. All the rpers are very hard to see.

Aye, don't worry, I have patience. Or at least some. sweatdrop Joking aside, I understand. Rome wasn't built in a day. Surely rebuilding RPing on Gaia won't be quick, either haha.

Clash Badman Overlord Jianichie Bebop is amazing; definitely should. When is the tournament, by the way? I am looking to get at least eight participants before it begins. Sadly, I have only six so far. I know that’s not much, but… :shrug: It’s a start. Maybe as the story unfolds in the main guild thread (TWG), more people will get drawn in and I can add them late. Capiche? Whatever works. I got no skin in the game; but I do know how these things can go down.
