"...It can't replace what she lost. But- I hope Earth can be something nice for her, eventually. A new start." A pause. "What's her name? So I know what to call her, when I come by and say hi. And bring my computer." Maybe Aerin would even meet Encke's husband- he sounded cool, and like the sort of person she'd get along with.

"I've got Stellaris. It's a space game- sort of like Civilization, if you know that one? But in space. You can make psychic cat people who save the galaxy." This was a vitally important fact.

"...Also, if I find anyone recently purified or looking to, I'll let you know. I'm trying to meet other senshi anyway, so. Not that you guys aren't cool! But it's probably good to know more people. I don't want to have to bother you for every little thing, y'know? Not that I mind the help, but- good to have multiple people to lean on."

"Plus, you guys can't always be available. What if I need help when you're out doing other things? Like- if I get out of school early or something and go on patrol, and something bad happens. Good to have a variety of people you know. Just in case."

Viatrix figured giving this name was fair, too, considering-- "Her senshi name is Dagon. Civilian is Ophelia, that's probably what she'll be in the house." She giggled. "I'm sure she'll appreciate more connections here."

If anything, Viatrix wanted to get Dagon more connections, too, just like Anser.

Viatrix didn't know exactly how long Dagon had been alone, but she was determined to make sure it wouldn't remain that way on Earth.

"Oh, I know Civ! I'd love to give Stellaris a try. Maybe you can show me!" Admittedly, if she could call the psychic cat people the Mauvians, that'd be perfect-- "And no, it's good! It's good for you to know more people. I want you to know more people, you know?" She tilted her head. "The better connected we are, the less like islands we are, the safer we are overall, you know?"

Encke thought similarly, and Viatrix had appreciated that about him.

Raksha nodded, taking the name to heart. She wouldn't forget it. "I can definitely show you! I'm not the best at it, but I'm not the worst either. I always make my people live in utopian abundance." She looked away, slightly sheepish. "I can't be mean in video games, it makes me feel too guilty."

"I'd like not to be an island. Your situation seems a little bit like an archipelago, though." A half-teasing smile tugged at Aerin's face. "You, Encke, his husband, his sister, the space alien you let live in your house- and that's just the people who are immediate relatives. I'm sure you guys know other people in your close circle, too. It seems to me like you collect them."

"Maybe you're not a cat. Maybe you're secretly a tiny dragon, but what you hoard is magic people. But you got hit on the head a kitten, so you forgot all about it. Have you tried breathing fire?"

Viatrix snickered. "Reminds me of Ignacio a bit, actually. In the story games, where they have the evil routes? He almost always ends up tilting good even when he tries to run it bad." There was one time she snatched the controller away from him, grumbled to herself, and chose the option he was trying to run for him--

Ignacio had pouted a bit after that.

"Maybe I am a dragon!" Viatrix puffed her chest out proudly. "Can't breathe fire, but I sure can beam, okay? And maybe that counts. But I like collecting people! It's a good thing. Give us an archipelago, maybe one day more land will rise and we'll upgrade to a continent, you know?"

It was a good goal to have, at least.

The more of them that were connected, the better.

And then if one of them ever fell, there would still be plenty to hold up the whole.

Ah, another person chronically unable to be Mean In Video Games. Somehow- Raksha wasn’t surprised. “...Wow, I got picked up by the most serial good guys ever to good guy, huh? Just the most archetypical lawful good people to ever exist. It’s cool, though. It means I fit right in. Boring lawful good paladins all the way. Also that there should definitely be some sort of gaming night. I want to see what he does with Munchkin.” ...Wait, she should probably explain what that was. “It’s a competitive board game that riffs off Dungeons and Dragons, if you’ve ever played that?”

“Also- Viatrix, has anyone ever communicated to you that you’re both patently ridiculous and incredibly cheesy?” The statement could, theoretically, have been an insult. It wasn’t, though. “…The sentiment is sweet, though. And good words to live by- You’re a very good dragon. I feel very collected right now. And I want to see that beam attack dust a youma. It’d be cool. I deserve it. As a reward. I can put my magic on you while you do it, too. So it’s extra cool.”

Technically, Aerin hadn’t really done anything worthy of rewarding, and it would probably be wasting unnecessary time in a fight. A hypothetical youma would be attacking them, anyway, not some random other people. It would probably be fine.

Viatrix couldn't help her giggles at being the most archetypal lawful good people to exist. The concept was funny. She wasn't sure if Ignacio would take offense or if he'd say that was probably a good thing-- "You should see him in movies," noted Viatrix, winking, though she would note that Ignacio hadn't often been given villain roles. He could do it! But-- "I've actually never played D-n-D though. Maybe he has! But I have context for it. It's where I could pretend to actually be like a dragon, right?"

She was thinking of dragonkin.

"You do deserve to see it! Promise I'll beam someone for you, okay?" Viatrix took the patently ridiculous as a compliment, too. Even if it was ridiculous, she thought it was a good thing to strive for.

Sweet sentiments, and all.

"I'm glad you feel collected. Let's keep it that way, alright?"

"Mm… I don't generally watch movies. Maybe I'll make an exception, though." Maybe Aerin would even like the movies. That, or it would be funny to see someone she knew act onscreen.

"Oh- maybe you would like it. I play a lot of it, and a gaming shop I go to has a lot of Adventurer's League things. That's, uh, a thing where you make a character according to some set rules and show up to a oneshot someone is doing. And then your character will grow and evolve over time. I've currently got a tempest cleric? Maybe if you can be human for longer you can come play a game sometime. And you can play a dragonborn. Or half-dragon. Yeah, those two things are different." It was probably a long-term goal. Games lasted more than one hour.

"...That, or you could stand on the table and try to eat the dice. I hear that's traditional, whenever you're playing in a house with a cat."

Raksha reached over and gently petted Viatrix on the head again.

"Also- I don't anticipate that changing." It probably could, and Raksha wasn't willing to completely discount the possibility, but it seemed unlikely.

Viatrix had never been a big movie person either before she ran into her senshi and discovered he was an actor, of all things, but considering the reality now it was rather amusing. Considering the person under the character layers, it sometimes made how easily he could morph into them for the sake of a role rather funny.

"Ooh, that sounds like fun! I'll even pretend to eat the dice just for fun if that's part of tradition, but I promise I don't actually want them. That sounds kinda gross." She purred happily when Aerin began to pet her on the head, leaning in as she did so. "I look forward to it! And good. Look forward to seeing you grow."

She did!

Viatrix had high hopes for Raksha.

Aerin blushed faintly at Viatrix's words, acquiring a faint dusting of pink. "I'll try to live up to that. And use my cool magic powers for good." In all fairness, she probably couldn't disappoint Viatrix without dying or doing terrible things, and Aerin didn't plan on doing either. Also, getting better at magic would be cool. It would be very cool.

It lapsed into silence for a second- a silence which was quickly broken by the sound of a phone ringing- and not Aerin's burner phone. <********, it's my dad. Give me one moment." Aerin answered it, stepping away for a second, and had a brief conversation before hanging up. Once the phone call was over, she put her normal phone away and returned to the fountain.

"Sorry, uh- I told my parents earlier today that I was going to go check on the museum and see how repairs are going. And I did- they're going fine. But I think they want to take me out to a restaurant about it? Probably to make me feel better." They didn't say that of course, but it was pretty obvious.

"I can't really say no, so. See you later?"

"Oh! I hope I'm not keeping you--" Viatrix cut herself off and kept quiet as Aerin stepped away to take the conversation on her actual phone. Her dad. That seemed like an affectionate enough naming of him. Probably was something friendlier than Ignacio's relationship with his biological father. She hoped it was more like Richard's relationship with Luke--

She sat back as Aerin returned.

"Oh, a restaurant might be fun! I like trying all those cool cuisines from good chefs." She had an in-built chef at home with Luke, of course, but-- "I know it doesn't uh, actually help anything, though, but," she lifted a paw to rub at her neck, "try to focus on how tasty the food is!"

It was hopeful, at least.

"Try to have a good night, Aerin! I'll see you around."

"I do like italian food. And my parents are nice! They just… don't get it, is all. It'll probably be a good time."

Aerin had parked a few blocks down, so it would be a pretty quick affair to get back to her car and everything.

"Bye, Viatrix! I'll have to take you up on the offer of video games later. And maybe steal your snacks."

Aerin waved goodbye, then set off to go Do The Italian Restaurant Experience.
