Thank you! It's a runway entry for tomorrow. I tend to do better in non-human avis for some reason.
I agree that scenics can be a challenge. I've heard they can be done without the invisibility cloak, but I think that would be hard. And I checked and the cloaks are pretty high priced on the market place.(to be fair, since they sell for 1000 gcash in rococo, the market price is kind of reasonable)

Getting seasonal! If anyone has advice for filters that achieve a better "cold snowy evening" look that don't cost an arm and a leg I'm all ears. Note that I'm using petite backdrop for foreground shenanigans, so that limits the selection.
Left is minty shoujo memories I think it looks better unfiltered. I'd like to retain more of the contrast. Version with sapphire vault added on the right.

I think you're right, that particular scene doesn't take the shoujo memories filter really well (that is a downside of the flares, losing contrast). Do you have any of the sylvan dusk items at all? The background on those items layers behind a lot of backgrounds, and darkens the edges. The original item has a sort of bluish cast to it, might help the wintery feel.
Beyond that, I recommend looking at hiimbeary's Lighting Mod List Not every lighting mod will layer behind every background, but it's a great place to start.

Sylvan dusk doesn't work because of how this one layers, but I'll check out the guide!
Thank you! It all started with me buying cherry scorpio of lummoire off the mp even though I don't often use red in my avatars - but it fit the festive wintery mood way too well for me to resist.
Edit: Fraudulent shepherd has a rather nice effect. I'll keep going through to see if I discover any other options.

Thank you! I wish there were an accessory of fireworks without a whole background, if that makes sense. Like Firework accents? Or a NYC ball?
