After the kick, Matt would look to go for a spinning backhand, followed by a pele kick combination to finish it off!

Roode was hit with the signature combination, standing there dazed, selling the kick before falling back first to the canvas!

Falling to the canvas, Matt would get on his hands and knees as he would look behind him seeing the champion was down! he would he crawl to a far corner, and pick himself up with the ropes, wiping his hair back. Picking himself up in the corner, Matt would watch Bobby Roode until he would make his way back to his feet.

Taking some time, Roode eventually crawled to the corner opposite of Matt, and picks himself up in it, turning around there.

Paying homage to a best friend and shades of a legend, Matt would look to run towards Bobby Roode with a running knee in the corner, full forced!

Roode attempts to duck the Rainmaker and then kick Matt in the midsection and go for the Pay Off, a Fishermans suplex into a pin!

The Rainmaker was ducked, which was rare in CWF! less than five men have ever been able to counter the move and Bobby Roode did it with ease! Matt was kicked in the gut and slammed to the canvas before he knew! the crowd was on their feet as the referee slid into the cover! "ONE! TWO!" But Matt Gennison gets the shoulder up at a near fall!

Roode would roll away from Matt and get to his knees, after hitting a move that has won him matches before, but wasnt enough to put away the former world champion, Roode knew he had to dig deeper.

Gennison laid on the canvas with his arms and legs spread out as he would be breathing heavily, the crowd highly anticipated into this close matchup.
