Captian LavendulanWhen she looked up again, Laven noticed one of the corrupts from the crowded table waving. Long forest-green hair with a black hood and frost looking flowers pinned to her braid. She recognized the woman as being the one who had translated Radon's cryptic clicking. Unfortunately, for the life of her, Lavendulan drew a complete blank when trying to recall her name and like a damned fool, she turned around to make sure the wave wasn't in fact directed towards someone behind her instead. There was nobody there; disappointing since she'd hoped Lopezite had got her message and was just standing in the shadows. Nonetheless, she breathed a sigh of relief, pinned a smile on her face, then looked back over toward the corrupt and waived in kind. Before she had become a half-youma, Marissa had never been one to shy away from a casual conversation or be afraid to say hello. But the last two years had changed her; made her more aware of her unusual appearance and how much she'd stand out in a crowd, despite being only 5'2" tall, when it wasn't Halloween. As such, she had hid away in her room for a long while; the one she was given permission to stay in the barracks. That lasted until her home with Wolframite was built and then she just stayed there or kept to her office space while she continued work on her small project for their Queen. A quick glance over to Laurelite served as a swift reminder that she needed to schedule a time to meet with her to show her the artifact she'd been given. But for now, Lavendulan cautiously approached the table, mindful of any chairs or people between them as to avoid the chance of having one of her bruises bumped into. "Hello," her greeting laced with a tinge of shyness that was then reflected in the sweep of pink that swept across her cheeks. "I'm glad to see you're doing well." A sincere statement since Lilith looked to be having quite the fun. Since their return from the Rift, Lavendulan hadn't run into anyone from the mission. Mostly her own fault but she did not come back to the Dark Kingdom with the rest of them. Instead she stayed behind, tracked down the kirin-like beast that carried her away from the cliffs and sought to convince it to stay with her, to be her personal youma. The week since then was spent in training, which... given her current state of being was still ongoing.

Kamacite “I was already here filling in reports,” Kamacite admitted as he picked apart another cookie but didn’t really eat much of it. “I was hoping this would be for… something else.” Did he already say that? He couldn’t remember if he said it out loud or if he just thought it. But he shook his head, not wanting Roselite to worry too much about whatever was going on in his now fuzzy head.
But he turned after a moment to look at Roselite, staring at him very carefully, and then said, “I like you. You’re a good friend. So I’m going to worry about you because you worry about other people.” Or something like that.
As for if he wanted to be there and if he wanted to go home. “I don’t know,” wasn’t a very good answer. He wasn’t entertaining like Aquamarine or even Eion, who seemed to be enjoying himself. But he always felt like he was on rocky ground with Faustite. It would be better to let him enjoy himself.
“Yeah, we can go hide or something. I don’t want to go home.” He didn’t want Misha worrying about him, too. ---------- General JetHim? Afraid of the Queen? Well… wasn’t it reasonable to be respectfully afraid of her and her power? Or perhaps in awe? He never really had the opportunity to speak with her, but he was a bit relieved that she was more… normal than he expected. Not that he thought she wasn’t normal, but she was the Queen, so she could really do whatever she wanted.
“Oh, yes-- I mean, no. I’m worried about Aquamarine and not-- I mean--” Okay he was still having trouble talking to her like a normal person.
It didn’t help that he was distracted by everything he could hear Aquamarine saying from just across the room.
He felt the blood drain from his face. “I am so sorry, Your Majesty. It was really nice speaking with you. May I be dismissed?”

Lopezite did not arrive promptly, nor was he even able to respond to Lavendulan as quickly as he would have liked. When the minutes dragged on it seemed like a better idea to just show up instead of text that he was on his way.
It wasn’t that he’d planned on avoiding the meeting tonight or anything, he’d just been spending a bit of time to himself. Gathering energy, thinking on things.
It didn’t bother him that he’d missed the original message; if it had been important, he was certain that he’d have been summoned.
When he arrived, he immediately looked through the crowd, looking for Lavendulan. For all the fuss about socializing being terrifying, she seemed like she was doing well enough. He texted her back:
Quote: I don’t know, you look like you’re doing fine. You sure you want me hovering around?

General ArsenopyriteArseno was about to go and fetch some napkins, with a bit of water so that it would be easier to clean the uniform, until he heard the Captain's response to Sylvite. It made him raise an eyebrow. The only other Agent he had seen an attitude like that from when talking to their superior had been Faustite. The stench of alcohol hit his nose and he couldn't help but grimace a bit at it. He never could understand why anyone drank it. But he wouldn't make others feel bad for doing so, he just wouldn't partake himself. He sighed. "General, would you like some coffee instead? I can get that while I get the napkins as well." And whatever else he could use to help get the frosting off. He looked at the Captain. "It would take some time Captain." Then he beckoned the other to follow him. "We can talk while I get something to help her with that mess. The least we could do is get most of the frosting off." He wouldn't be commenting on if anyone was truly in the way or not. He hadn't been paying too much attention to who was where. stari_maga cupcake themed uniform, just saying lol

General SylviteOkay, there were probably slightly better solutions out there than napkins. There were magical solutions. The Captain was right. These were magic clothes. She squeezed her eyes shut, and for second there her outfit shifted into a tank top and pink pajama shorts before a clean version of her long, glittery skirt flared out again in a shower of dark sparkles. It definitely helped the situation. At least she wasn't soaked now from head to toe, but the frosting on her face hadn't gone anywhere, there were busted cupcakes on the ground, and her hair was still full of champagne. Her hair also happened to be the closest part of her body to her nose. She wanted to gag. "Still gross, but it's something, I guess," she said, but still definitely wasn't happy about it. "Thanks, Areseno, but no coffee, please. Anything but coffee. Uh." Her gaze flicked to Prenhite, whose tone had done nothing to help her mood. "I could use a new plate of cupcakes, Captain." She wasn't usually one to throw rank around, but this guy was definitely acting like he could use a little reminder. In the meantime, she knelt again, working on pulling up her fallen cupcakes by their little paper wrappers so she could throw them away.

"Either way you've not run from chaos." He wouldn't say she'd embraced it, not like he had, but it was a step in the right direction. He would give it that at the very least; this was more than he'd expected from her.
"Reassigned...that's good. I do hope you're working out well. You say he's kind enough...but that doesn't tell a whole story." It wouldn't be good for either of them if she wasn't doing well with the Captain. And he assumed, though perhaps wrongly, that it might be the first underling for the Captain. It might be their first time and they had no experience....this would certainly fix that. Kind enough didn't mean they were working well - that she was progressing. She would though, somehow.
"I'm sure it will change soon enough. You'll learn to gather energy - it's not hard. I doubt that'll give you an issue...I don't think that gives anyone much of an issue." Aside from what to do with an unconsious body. Killing people, taking starseeds, that was when you ran into trouble and morals and such....it was all a mess. Even he didn't like to take those for no reason...though he'd made exceptions in the past.
"I've been doing well, adjusting to some changes and working towards some new civilian goals and the like. Here it's buisness as usual, it's not so hard. Civilian life however goes on and that is where things change and things must be adjusted." Shrugging a bit as he spoke. "Relationships end, relationships begin, looking to find and make a career for oneself because retail isn't how one should live forever."

Corrupt Sailor HatsyaWhen he mentioned energy gathering, Hatsya had to behave herself and not roll her eyes. Although it had been a few years, that was one thing she could do. He had been the one to teach her that skill. She wasn't exactly proficient at it but eventually, her quota was filled. Then he mentioned his civilian life and Hatsya had to pause. She remembered him last being a teacher at Ramons's and had to wonder if he might know Reed from there. A question she could ask later since she was pretty sure that Prehnite had only shared his civilian identity with maybe one person other than herself. Lips pursed into a thin line, she seemed to recall him having a boyfriend once; no details were given just a mention that he had someone that he was trying to protect, someone he was trying to keep out of the war. Hatsya wondered if he'd somehow got dragged into this mess as she had. "Changes like that can be hard, but it sounds like you have someone now who can properly support you as you move forward." Must be nice, having someone to lean on when things got difficult. Right now, all she had was a wall or chair, and when those were there then the floor would have to do. Hatsya leaned back in her chair and watched Prehnite mingle with the other officers; or fumble and fall, she couldn't tell which. All she could say was at least it looked like he was having fun.

Lepidolite raised his brows at Aqua’s response, and it seemed only instinct for him to wrap an arm around the General to make sure he didn’t fall down. He didn’t mind the closeness; it seemed like there was very little that could actually faze him. “That sounds like a lot to unpack,” he said, and eyed the champagne, wondering if he should just grab that and shove it into subspace before Aquamarine hurt himself. He nodded to Fafnir, though he wasn’t sure the Senshi had seen the gesture before retreating. He patted Aqua’s back a little enthusiastically, like that might help calm him down. “You having a rough time there? If you need to talk to someone, you know Axinite’s office is always open, right?” Laurelite was a bit aware of the commotion, but it wasn’t until she saw Lepidolite curl his arm around Aquamarine that her brows raised. She smiled still, but it did little to hide her surprise. “Oh, yes, of course,” she said. “You might want to go check on him. It was lovely talking to you, Jet. Let’s do it again some time.” With less alcohol. Maybe.

General AquamarineThe enthusiastic back pats jostled Aquamarine around enough that his brain felt a bit rattled — though that could just as easily be from the champagne.
He told Jet he wasn’t drunk, and he meant it at the time. He was moderately tipsy, at best. Fairly buzzed. Somewhat inebriated. Aquamarine didn’t drink often. When he did, it was to prove a point to his family, or to lure men into a false sense of security, or to unwind at home after a particularly awful mission. He drank tonight because he thought it would make everyone else seem more tolerable.
In that respect, the champagne was a great success.
If only he wasn’t so much of a lightweight.
“I’m so ******** drunk,” he said, leaning most of his weight into Lepidolite.
The General King was very solid, and very warm, and he wasn’t so bad, was he? A little too boisterous for Aquamarine’s tastes under normal circumstances, but like this he was great. The best ever. The kindest, most talented, most powerful General King there ever was.
And he was practically cuddling Aquamarine. That had to come with some serious perks, right?
“Axinite?”
Axinite was good, too. Very nice. Very practical. Maybe a little soft, but Aquamarine would only hold it against him if it became an obvious detriment. He tried to look around, scan the room for the other General King, but doing that made him dizzy, so he went back to leaning against Lepidolite, practically nuzzling into his shoulder.
“Axinite’s… I don’t know where he is. Somewhere. Probably feeding someone a muffin, or… something.” A pale hand began to pet the fur at Lepidolite’s collar. “Sir… did you know you’re very strong?”Guine Feel free to save Lepidolite, and everyone else

Lieutenant RoseliteRoselite was relieved that Kamacite agreed to go hide somewhere. It wasn’t that Roselite didn’t want to be there, and it wasn’t that he was embarrassed by the fact that Kamacite was drunk, he just felt a bit out of place sitting there, like he didn’t quite belong.
There were agents talking to General Sovereigns, a General talking to the Queen, people drinking, eating, and having fun, and all Roselite could do was clean up and take care of his friend.
Which was fine! That was enough for him! He liked doing those things!
But he also couldn’t help but wonder if other people looked at him and thought he wasn’t worth having around, like all he did was the bare minimum and the power Captain Bloodstone and General King Axinite bestowed upon him was wasted on someone like him.
“Okay, um…” Roselite hastened to stand, helping Kamacite to his feet. “We can… we can grab some more food to take with us, and… maybe some water? Or I can make you coffee. I have everything we’d need in Captain Bloodstone’s office. Just… careful, watch out for your hair.”

"Yes, things certainly change, in unexpected ways at times. But I've learned to make the best of them, a lesson it took time to learn, but it was well worth it. It's not always easy to take things in stride and work with them but sometimes fighting against the currant isn't easy either...sometimes it just isn't wise." It was best to see where things fell and deal with them then, at least most of the time. However hard that was to actually do.
"I do hope you're civilian life is full of good things - pleasent things. I know you enjoyed fencing. I do hope you're been able to continue that passion and spread it to others, you were rather talented there." It was one thing he had noticed about her. She had a talent and was a passionate person, qualities he liked.

Corrupt Sailor HatsyaThe flow of conversation seemed to help quell the combined anxiety and nervousness she'd felt since arriving. Axinite's eyes upon her earlier was nerve wracking as it was, not to mention the apprehension of inevitably running into Benitoite. For all the horrible ways this could have gone, this was not so bad. The General was being, for lack of a better description, a true professional. Perhaps a bit passive but cordial just the same. At least he wasn't stoking the fire or trying to provoke her into making a scene. "I am actually working as a fencing instructor now. I only teach the beginner classes at the moment." Surprisingly enough she really enjoyed working with kids. Adults were more attentive but children tended to express more joy and passion. "I've only entered a few competitions, mostly to attract new students." Prehnite had suggested that she apply at Ramons as a PE teacher. However, she wasn't looking to put herself anymore in a Sovereign's sight than she currently already was and did not quite agree with scouting out potential new officers through schools; not that she'd ever voice that opinion.

Jet was eternally grateful when he had express permission from the Queen to be dismissed. He politely, but quickly, bowed to her--
And teleported over to where Aquamarine was hanging all over General King Lepidolite.
“I apologize for his behavior, General King. Please excuse us,” he said and took hold of Aquamarine’s waist and unwound him from Lepidolite’s hold. And he thought he did a very good job of not looking like he was jealous of the General King hanging all over his partner. It wasn't really Lepidolite's fault that Aquamarine was a lightweight. He would just blame any scowl on his face as frustration from Aquamarine's behavior.
And so he teleported from there.
Far far away.
Never to be heard from or seen again.
At least until Aquamarine was no longer drunk, and Jet was no longer embarrassed by his behavior. EXIT for Jet. OH MY GOD AQUA

Aquamarine perked up as much as the sluggish dizziness of alcohol would allow him to perk up when Jet arrived on the scene.
“Jet!” he cheered, like he hadn’t seen him in hours, then threw himself onto his… partner? Person of significance? There was a word for the legal bits of their relationship, but even in his inebriated state, Aquamarine’s brain would not allow him to consider it.
He went from nuzzling into Lepidolite’s shoulder to nuzzling into Jet’s shoulder, which wasn’t a terrible replacement, though notably less bulky. Still firm, though. And warm.
Before Aquamarine could humiliate himself any further, Jet whisked him away. Aquamarine managed a lazy wave and a “Remember the music next time!” before they vanished from sight.EXIT for Aquamarine. (Sorry, y’all, gotta knock some RPs off my list. So I can take on more.)

Kamacite stood a little haphazardly to his feet, although he was glad he wasn’t making as much of a scene as some of the other agents. Maybe he should have been more careful about what he accepted to drink. But at least Roselite was there, and he was sweet and he was helpful, and he was very caring and was a lovely person to be around, even if he was very shy.
Only half aware of what he was doing, Kamacite leaned forward to press a kiss against Roselite’s cheek as he helped him up and discussed what they should try to do on their way to Bloodstone’s office.
“Thank you,” he said, because Roselite really was sweet, and Kamacite had the feeling that he was overworked and under appreciated. Being considered weak in the Negaverse was never a good thing. He would know. But unlike Roselite, he was a Senshi and he had powerful magic, even if it didn’t cause physical harm. Roselite would need to be careful not to get caught up with the wrong people. For that, Kamacite just hoped he would be promoted soon. Things were always easier when one could teleport.
