Vivian looked afraid as she looked at the deck of cards. She picked one, showing the 7 of spades. She gulped and looked at the truth she'd have to spill. Her eyes widened, and a lump started to form. "Do...do I have to?" she asked, but knew it was inevitable. She took a calming breath, unconsciously gripping onto her bandaged wrist. "M-magi and I...our relationship is...complicated. He's...not well a lot of the time and...tends to take his aggression on me..." Vivian sighed as she undid one of the bandages around her wrist. As it dropped, deep bruises dotted in splotches on her wrist and up her arm. She undid the other one as well, showing that both arms had been bruised. "When we first met...he was different. He was kind, caring...he hired a from nothing girl into his college...he gave me a chance to make something of myself. Then we started to talk more...and he'd invite me out to eat...at first I didn't know they were dates, but then I realized that I was the only one he treated like that. He...wanted to be with me...but knew that pursuing a relationship with someone so low was not a good idea. Borderline scandalous. So...we kept it a secret...until he...he changed again..." Vivian covered her face with her faces, trying to hold back crying as best she could. "Now...I don't know what we are...I...I know it's awful but I can't help but love him...I just want the Magi I knew back...but I don't know if that's going to happen. So I have to avoid him...I can't be around him or else...well...more bad things will happen..." Vivian felt she'd answered the question, and stopped there. She held back crying and just took another sip of her wine. She let out a sigh, slowly she was calming down. She shuffled and cards and prepared her truth and her dare. "Your turn Lavi..."

Lavi listened as Vivian talked about her and Magi's complicated relationship. She was upset that Vivian cared so much for Magi and he was more worried about his reputation. After Vivian calmed down a bit and had her draw from the deck. She whispered "Sorry"to Vivian before showing them her Jack of hearts. After hearing the dare she paled. "Wait are you serious? It's really late he's going to think I'm drunk texting him or something."She huffed and got her phone out and finding Seva in her contacts. She hesitantly type a message to him. She was going to try to bury the statement in a ramble, but knew that would be cheating so she started typing him this message. 'Hey Seva I now it's late and all but I just wanted to tell you, you are.' She hesitated the last word before typing 'cute' and pressing send. "He's never going to talk to me again" She said as her face turned red. She held the cards out for Saffron"You're turn "

Saffron listened to Vivian explain herself. She was a bit saddened to hear how that was going. She didn't like the sight of her tears and bruises. That got really real really fast. Despite her having an inclining of what was going on. To hear it out of her mouth was a whole new beast. "Sorry Vivian...I should have just let that go..."
Saffron looked at the card she got. It was another dare. She sighed a little before showing them her card, feeling like Lavi was kind of a boring dare giver. However once she heard the dare she looked at them a bit concerned. "Look...I'm all for fun and games but I can't do that right now. Belmont was close with the student that just died. I'm sure now isn't the best time. I know this isn't fair of me to ask but perhaps you can ask me a truth instead? Or another dare? Something..." Saffron said a little saddened thinking of Belmont...
With the other women's blessings they agreed she could take a truth instead. Then it was the BIG question. One that she knew was probably going to be brought up and yet she felt unprepared. She was still unsure about whether she was going to tell the truth or not. "uhh...Ummm..." She hesitated. 'Whatever you do don't say William. Whatever you do don't say William. Whatever you do don't say William.' She thought to herself. She didn't know these women well and she was terrified of him figuring it out. They were adults but her crush made her feel like a teenager and it was very embarrassing to like such a slacker. 'I can't chicken out...I have to say something...someone that's not a slacker...' She thought about it quick and easy the first name that fit that profile was none other than: "Odhran!" The answer seem to even take her by surprise ...'WHY DID I SAY ODHRAN!? HE SCARES THE LIVING PISS OUT OF ME!' Saffron thought hoping that they could just move on and never talk about it again. She looked at Lavi. "Uhhhh...So Lavi! I'll pick on you!" She said in hopes of not upsetting Vivian again.

She then heard that she had a crush on Odhran. "Oh shoot that is the guy I keep forgetting to talk to. I'm suppose to ask him if he could maybe not let my family in or say I exist in here at all. Oh and don't worry Saffron I won't tell him you like him" She said smiling mischievously. She then drew a card from the deck and saw a Ace of Spades."Truth."she showed her card smiling. Then she heard the question and thought about it. "I wouldn't say cult because we weren't religious. Father Roman was the head of the household. He always told us what to do and everything. He used to take me out on adventures until mother Orla said that it wasn't a girls place to go exploring. After that I was giving chores to do while the boys got to sit around. Which is why I disappeared as soon as my sixteenth birthday came around I didn't think it was fair. Father Roman got real mad once when I complained about being in a cult once. I had to sit in a four hour lecture about how the Commune is not a cult." She said rambling a bit. She didn't like talking about her family since they always try to guilt her back home. Vivian knew she’d brought the mood down. She felt bad as she covered her wrists in a bout of guilt. "Its ok...I’m working through it now...don’t worry about that right now..”desperate to change the subject to just about anything, she drew a card when Lavi said it was her turn. The 2 of hearts. "Oh man...it’s a dare...” Vivian read her dare and groaned. She wasn’t a fan of sour food. Oh well...she had to. She took the bowl and started to lick the sour coatings off the bottom. Her throat started to close and her lips clenched together. She coughed, really not liking it. "That is so gross...” Vivisn got a cup of water and drank it to try and make the sourness go away. After a bit, she was ok, but geez. "Ok Saffron...” she said as she finished her truth and her dare. "Your turn."

Saffron laughed a bit when Lavi said she wouldn't tell Odhran that she had a crush on him. Saffron didn't care about that since she lied. She was way more worried about William knowing and holding it over her head. Odhran seemed somewhat of a gentleman and would just keep it to himself. Not so much trust could be given to someone like William who she picked on the past however long he's worked here.
Saffron smiled as this was becoming more and more fun. She can see herself friends with this side of the girls. She giggled and gave Lavi a curious look as she was talking...'Oh boy...that's defiantly a cult...Best not press it...' She thought smiling at her as she spoke. She then watched as Vivian took her dare with grace and coughed a bit. Saffy tried her hardest to cover her mouth to make it seem like she was not laughing at her. "Oh...My turn?" She said listening to Vivian and then picked up a card. It was a black card. The 8 of spades. A card she didn't know she was going to regret pulling. She showed the girls with a smug look ready for anything that could be asked except the question that was asked of her.
When Vivian asked if she was a virgin and who she had slept with, Saffron wanted to end the game there and then. It was an embarrassing tale. And since she had already lied about who she had a crush on she wasn't much fond of lying twice. Her stomach sank to the ground and she clenched her teeth. "Uhhh...I'm sure you wouldn't know him..." She said a bit temperamental. "He was just some guy I met at a bar...and I was really curious about sex...nothing went well...it was awkward..." she stopped herself knowing that she didn't have to go into so much detail. "Uhhh...Well...Yeah...His name is Nicholas...and I'm not sure I'll ever see him again...Thankfully..." she said leaving out a few details like it happened less than a week ago and they didn't exchange names until the end. Saffron looked to the side a little red. "I mean he was good looking and what not...but the b*****d left me with the bill for the hotel room. When I woke up he was gone...for the best anyway...I thought I was able to move on from Will-I mean...Odhran...crushes are bitches..." she said awkwardly then looked at Lavi.

She cringed as Vivian licked up the sour powder when her phone beeped. She looked down and went red. "Seva texted back" She said nervously before actually reading it. She smiled before texting back 'Sorry about that I didn't mean you were cute like kid cute. More like charming charming is the best word to describe you not that I have a reason to describe you.' 'I mean I would love to see this new firefly secret place it sound fun and I thing you're right I need to turn my phone off' She pressed send and looked back up to the girl. Saffron was talking about her first time. 'I know a Nicholas.' She thought not thinking it was the same guy and just relating it in her own thoughts. When Saffron was done talking about Lavi questioned her. "Wait do you like Nicolas, Odhran, or Will. And who is Will?" She drew a eight of clubs and got asked the virgin question. 'They are going to think I'm lame' "I've never had sex with anyone. Ever. I was taught that sex is only for making babies and since I never wanted kids I stayed away and it hasn't really been a big deal for me. Is that a bad thing?" She held out the cards to Vivian.

After dealing with the card catalog in the library, the ABCs was something she knew like the back of her hand. "The perks of being a librarian...I guess..." Vivian shuffled the cards again and then held them out. "Ok Lavi, I picked Saffron last time so you're up!”

'I should have shut the darn thing off when Seva told me to.' She called Nicholas sounding rushed. "Hello sir. I just wanted to tell you I won't be in office tomorrow. I don't feel the greatest. Okay thank you sir." She hung up and took a deep breath. "Well maybe I can get caught up on my work tomorrow if I don't have to go in" She turned to Saffron. "Your turn now"

Saffron listened to the lecture that Vivian was giving about sex and smirked at her. She was going to doubt that she had sex then thought about the things she's been through with Magi and winced a little. She shook her head and looked over at Lavi as she talked about Seva's text. It was a nice moment for her to watch Lavi happy about talking to her crush. She smiled at her genuinely and waited for her turn. Lavi started to ask questions about which guy she liked and she squinted her eyes at her confused. "D-did you even listen to my story?" she said not willing to entertain her question.
Saffron watched Vivian do her alphabet thing and was actually kind of impressed. She even clapped a little afterwords. "Fantastic Viv..." Saffron said giving her a nickname then heard Lavi talking to her about it being her turn. She smiled and pulled out the 4 of diamonds and threw the card on the table. "Give me your best shot..." She said smugly.
When Lavi said the dare she was even more smug since the last person she called was her sister. Or so she thought. She was suppose to call her sister but Saffron put it off and didn't realize the ACTUAL last person she called. She looked at her phone and turned pale white. "Uh...Wh-what!?" The last person she called was none other than William! 'OH s**t! HOW!?' She thought back as much as her swimming mind would let her. She forgot she called him to the crime scene and was meaning to call Diana but didn't. She looked at the girls and then looked at the phone..."I almost want to throw in the towel at this one..." She said then looked at the phone again. 'Of course...a dumb game...could be the perfect excuse if he rejects me...Just like 'HA! I didn't mean it...It was...just...a dumb game...' heh...Perfect...to...' Saffron's expression fell more and more from her face. She was almost excited to call him and say something like that...yet...was concerned with how he might reject her. She took a deep breath and dialed the number and held it up to her ear.
She let out a sigh of relief as she heard his voicemail. The one time she was slightly glad she did. She smiled lightly waiting for the beep on the other end of the phone and began to think of what she was actually going to say.
"Uh...Hey...William...Heh...I just wanted to say I love you...Bye..." She said hanging up somewhat quickly. She looked a little somber and put the phone on the coffee table starting to remember all the things that were going on around them. Maybe her feelings weren't as strong as 'love' but it was nice to say to him knowing she had a way to backpaddle if it went wrong. "Uh...so...Hey guys...You win...I think...I don't wanna play anymore..." Saffron said a bit saddened and laid back down on the couch staring off into space.

Vivian watched as Lavi called her boss for a sick day and Saffron called the last person she called, who was this William person. Saffron seemed to have a lot of people she spoke with, a lot of friends. She needed more of those to be sure. She chuckled a little, but then immediately felt bad because Saffron looked kind of defeated. She went and pat Saffron on the back. "Hey, we're all adults here. If you didn't want to do it, you could have passed. I'm sure we would understand.”she said, but the game was over. Vivian thought for a moment but then had an idea. "How about we play a different game. 2 truths and a lie! It's very easy. It's where you say 2 truths about yourself, and then you lie once. Then it's our job to guess what the lie is." she explained, thinking this would be a lot less intensive than truth or dare. "If we want to play, I'll go first. Or we can just chat about other things. Or watch a movie. Something like that." Vivian poured herself some wine and then immediately downed it. She coughed a little bit, but it felt good to take the edge off. She poured the girls more wine until the bottle was empty. "Oh...we're gonna need more wine..."

"Yeah we wouldn't have mind you passing"she said to Saffron "I didn't mean to make you upset."She heard Vivian talk about a new game and smiled. "That sounds really fun. I like guessing games although I'm terrible at them. My sister Aeesha used to hid my stuff and play a guessing game to get my stuff back. I lost many things to they way."She said giving away more info than necessary. She looked at her glass that Vivian filled up and moved it a bit away from her. She looked over at the empty bottle. "Shoot and I don't keep alcohol in my room normally sorry."
