It seemed like it was mostly young adults or teenagers that might be involved in this magical war and while she hoped that the youth she worked with, or the women that came to her self defense course in the summer weren't a part of this mess. It did give her reason to listen for keywords or phrases used in side conversations and pay close attention to any injuries that don't fit the narrative she's given. Some come from abusive households or relationships while others live in a rough part of town.
Erica glanced down the hallway where she heard the shower still going. "I'll keep my head down until you get back." That is assuming he still wanted to work there after they neglected to even try and find him. "I probably should get going though." She understood that Myles would be a bit upset at not being able to say goodbye but it was getting late and there was a load of laundry she needed to get washed before bed.
