I think I should rewatch...whatever episode shows? Isn't it like, the first? I wanna see if he had it as they pulled him away. He IS a Chuunin, so he could have gotten it on a mission as well. it couldn't have been on a mission. he had the scar when they pulled him away during the kyuubi attack. even if i'm wrong, he had it during the mizuki returns filler's flashbacks and iruka looked about the same age (11/10-ish) he did during the kyuubi attack. and he became a genin at 11 and genins don't usally do dangerous missions. most genin level missions during iruka's childhood would most likely relate to rebuilding konoha. *Nods* You have a good point WHich episode is the iruka arc? Becuase i can't find it lol the mizuki arc is episodes 142-147

Maybe he got it on a mission...like maybe he was trying to save someone and he got cut...poor Iruka..the scar looks good on him though

It's not from a mission, because a year after his parents died he had it, and he was still a Genin then. I mean, it's POSSIBLE but not probable. In his memory of Sandaime (The 3rd) he had it.

Maybe its there to make him look more like a dolphin? I dunno...
There was this fanfic that had this theory that Iruka got the scar when he was a baby. His family was supposedly from the wave country and the scar is a sign of his family's exile from the hidden mist. Its a very interesting theory, even if its unlikely sweatdrop
