Marbled Dirt peaked his head out from behind Bramble's back listening to the conversation as it went back and forth between those from far away and those that had lived safely here in these lands.
He pulled his head back behind the other as the mention of Giants and Darkness was spoken of. The skittish bun did not like the sound of those things, they sound very scary. Even after others began to deny the existence of these things he couldn't help but imagine these scary beings. His body shook behind his friends in fear of what his imagination was thinking of.
The talk of the illness in the rabbits caught his attention. He had not been feeling well, nor did Bramble, it was the reason why these two had made the treck out here to perhaps find a cure to it. Keeping behind his friend he poked his head out once more behind the back of Bramble his eyes focusing on the buns conversating about the illness.
A soft sneeze escaped him as one of the foreign rabbits asked the group to speak up quickly about their illness, however, the skittish bun remained silent his nerves were already at max being in this large crowd, but speaking up in it would put the timid one over the edge.

Clouded Dawn was trying to clean the mud off her kits when another rabbit spoke to her, pointing out that she was rude for calling the strange rabbits liars. Her ears dropped as she realized he was right. To be accurate, she had called their elders liars, but the point still stood. "Sorry, you're correct. It was rude of me to say that, and especially inappropriate when I'd just called their own accusation rude." She turned to the strange rabbit and said, "I apologize for calling your elders liars, that was uncalled for." She paused to chose her words carefully before continuing. "But I do think that perhaps their stories are based on rumor or speculation, rather than anything they saw with their own eyes. I encourage you to explore this land we live in and see the truth of it for yourself." WC: 143 TWC: 1482

Shale's eyes darted between the speaking rabbits. She looked fearful. And maybe a little guilty. There did seem to be rabbit all around, coughing and sneezing. "We are not sick. ... But rabbit kind does know of this illness ..." Her ears drooped a little. "My parents had this illness ..." Her voice got very soft for that part, hoping most of the gathered giants would not hear but. "But you have this pool! Surely you'll all feel better after drinking from it?"
Moonbeam listened to the strange doe, and pondered further. She DID feel better after Deiti had made sure she'd drank from the Pool. And the more she thought about it, she hadn't really been sneezing much after. Had the Pool really provided for her? She felt a warmth in her chest. Of course it had. She looked after the Pool, and the Pool looked after her. She reared on to her hind feet again.
"Friends, visitors, strangers, if you are sick, please make sure you drink deeply of the Pool! And spread word to others who are sick! Have them come to drink of the Pool!" She felt almost jubilant! This now left her with only one big questions. Where was this Luremire? What was this Luremire?
She leveled her gaze on the strange visitors. "I think it would be best if you could show us this place? What if more of you leave, and bring this illness to our land? And surely you must have a way to deal with this illness there?"

Clouded Dawn listened, her head tilted curiously. She hadn't heard of an illness, but as she looked around the group, she did see that several rabbits looked sick, a couple of them quite seriously so. She felt fine herself, and would have been fine to hang back and let the rabbits who needed it drink from the pool. But then Bounce sneezed again, and she frowned thoughtfully. He could have just caught a cold from running around in the rain, but he could also have caught the sickness. Did it spread that fast? She decided she didn't really want to chance it with her kits. "Come on kits, go have a drink of water. Maybe it'll get rid of that sneeze of yours, Bounce," she says to the little ones. She stood up and herded them to the pool, and watched them carefully to make sure they drank some water. When they started splashing water at each other she herded them away again, not wanting them to get a chill for real. WC: 172 TWC: 1654

Drift was quite surprised to hear the doe on the rock proclaim suddenly for all to drink from the pool who were ill. Could the pool really cure the illness spreading like crazy? A sneeze reminded him he had also come down with it, so what better way to find out? He hopped forward, eyeing the pool curiously. The area was strange to him, he had never ventured to the pool in his travels only heard of it, and wasn't sure really how he felt about all this. But others had obviously drunk from it and the doe seemed sure of herself. Drift leaned down and lapped tentatively from the pool. It was cool and good, he did feel a little more energized he thought. Now he would need to go tell the others at the Arbor, but some were too sick to journey here he was sure. Ignoring the general discontent and bickering, he started snooping along the edge of the pool, looking for anything that might help him carry some of this water back to Fivespot. Seesfar hiccuped and sniffled, trying to reign in his hysterics. The giants were awful, he ignored the indignant one lecturing that they weren't stupid. That was just what a dumb giant would think. He waved off the apologies. Hearing Shale, he wondered the same. Why were they so concerned about this sickness if they had the pool of legends. But then the higher up doe spoke and confirmed it was indeed a magical pool of healing after all!
"I knew it!" The buck said, excitement once more in his voice as he turned back toward where he knew the pool to be. "The Pool of Legends." he whispered and shuffled forward to pat at the water gently again, having already forgotten all his other protests in his reverence of the pool. If only he could see it, he wondered if it was as lovely as in his dreams. But something the doe had said finally registered.
"Oh no. We can not go back. We are banished to the darkness, we are no more." He felt conflicted then, as he knew they were banished, but also, was it still their duty to protect their home from giants and monsters if it was no longer their home? Maybe if they went off on an adventure they would finally leave him and his companions alone to live their lives though... wc: 413 twc: 1818

Brux had heard quite a commotion stirring, enough of one that he felt the need to poke his head out of the grass to see what it could be. Little nose twitching nervously, he eyed up the surrounding buns and felt intimidation set in. How could there be this many other rabbits in the world?! There were a few words shouted about, something about sickness and cleansing water, but Brux was too chicken to make much sense of it all, far too busy focused on just SO many of them. Swallowing his fear, he inched forward at a crawl, curious to actually catch what seemed to draw them all to one spot but not actually wanting to be seen just yet.WC: 121

Earth Shatter's ears fell, concerned only momentarily for these awful giants and their illness. She may not like them much, but she didn't want anyone to suffer like she had seen. Many of them did appear sick. But they would drink, and they would be fine. Unlike many of rabbit kind that had succumbed in Luremire. Although she was not sick, she cautiously approached to stare into the pool in wonder. Though she still had her skepticism of the legends, she'd been raised be believe, and a little part of her heart soared. She nodded in agreement with Seesfar. "If we go back we will be punished worse than banishment. We are sorry you are sick, but you have this pool, and you have safety." Forest was very much among the sick rabbits, and his head was spinning with all the commotion. He wanted to be of some use, but he was tired and his face sort of hurt, and it was all too much. He was grateful when the leader doe finally invited them to drink. Magical powers or not, hydration would help. He drank deeply and sighed with some relief. When he felt some of his head clear, he addressed Moonbeam and the new rabbits. "Are we really going to go... there? Clearly something's wrong with these rabbits brains, and they've brought so much sickness. What if it's worse where they're from?"wc: 234 twc: 448

Hemlock watched the other rabbits crowded around the pool with curiosity. Could the pool really heal them - did it actually have some sort of mystical power? It'd explain why the strange rabbits traveled all this way despite the supposed risk of monsters and cannibalism - even if they didn't seem to be ill themselves. Speaking of illness, Hemlock wasn't feeling so hot. Perhaps it was just the sheer number of sick rabbits around him that had him feeling this way, but... He sneezed. Better safe than sorry. He hopped over and settled in beside the other rabbits to take a drink from the pool. The water was cool and crisp - even if it didn't have any supernatural properties, it was incredibly refreshing. "Forest's got a point," He nodded as he backed away from the pool, "But... It doesn't seem like they have any sort of cure there. If this pool works..."He hummed in thought. The pale doe beamed as the apparent leader of the giants allowed everyone to drink from the Pool of Legends. "Oh - goodness, thank you, kind giant," She said as she hopped out from behind her companions, "We, um..."She nodded along as the others told of their banishment, but her eyes shone with excitement. "Maybe... Maybe if we tell the rabbits that we found the pool - that's it's really real - they'll let us come back?"They probably wouldn't appreciate the exiled monsters dragging even more monsters in with them, but it she was hopeful.

Shale looked between Earth Shatter and Shiver. Earth Shatter was right, their banishment was serious. They were not supposed to return to Luremire. ... But didn't it seem like they had some very important information for their families? The Elders? All of Luremire? That the Darkness was perhaps not quite what they had thought it was? "What if we went back and told them about what we've found? Maybe some of these giants will accompany us? Tell them about what's out here in the Darkness? And about the Pool?"
She was soaked straight through and cold but she wondered. She really wondered. Could they perhaps go home after all? "I will go. I'll talk to my Elders in the South ... Maybe someone else can talk to the Elders in the North? You have Elders in the North, right?" She twitched an ear, unsure about how the other half of Luremire lived. "We might be able to go back ... Back to safety ..."
Moonbeam stayed very quiet. She certainly wouldn't be off on an adventure. It was too important to keep the Pool safe. But maybe all these strange rabbits would move off of here. Good enough, certainly!
"I'm sure there are rabbits gathered here who would be happy to accompany you to your homeland? Maybe speak with ... whatever your Elders are? See if some understanding can be reached?"

Clouded Dawn shook her head silently. Even if these elders they planned to visit didn't sound like manipulative control freaks, she wouldn't be interested in making a who-knows-how-long journey right now. She wasn't going to leave her kits alone to wander off anywhere, and she certainly wasn't going to bring them along. The only place she was going was back to her burrow. So instead, she set about rounding up her kits to bring them home. --- Catkin had been listening silently to the proceedings. Having come over halfway through, he had to spend a bit of time piecing together what had happened, but he thought he had the gist of it now. Rabbits had come from a far-off land called Luremire, and apparently had brought the new sickness with them. Now they might be heading back, and might be interested in having local rabbits go back with them. Sounded interesting. So Catkin nodded to himself, then hopped forward a couple steps. "Sure, I'll go with you, if you'll have me," he said. "Might be nice to see someplace new, and maybe you rabbits and we rabbits can learn from each other." WC: 178 TWC: 1832

Brisk had crept a little closer along the edge of the pool, close enough to hear the louder voices carrying. His ears perked at the mention of some new place, some strange place he had never even heard of. There seemed to be some confusion over some of the rabbits saying they were from a place called Luremire, and this piqued his interest. Ever since running away from Bramblefell he had been wondering where he should go. Could this place be real, and if it was... it was definitely farther than his old warren knew of. A little shyly, the young buck hopped forward into the crowd of rabbits.
"I would like to go see this new land... if you all would have me!" He said eagerly, ready for an adventure. He was just a youngling still, with no place in the world yet and nothing to lose, so why not go see what he could see out there! Pondering the words of these giants, Seesfar had to wonder if there was any logic to this nonesense. They were banished and the Elders were not ones to be trifled with. If they brought giants back to Luremire what if they just attacked their families or ate everyone? He shook his head though. No they don't seem as stupid as I thought. They really do not seem to have any desire to eat us. And they don't smell like monsters and giants. Sniffing his very acute nose, he realized he never really FELT any feeling of danger from them. He could not see them, but... they smelled like.... rabbits?? He was a little shocked at this revelation, and chagrined he had never really thought about their scents. He normally relied so heavily on his other senses, but had really lost his head when they had encountered the giants.
"It... it may work..." The blind buck said thoughtfully aloud as he sat by the pool, "If nothing else, it would really be of interest for others to learn what we have learned here. Word needs to get back that the Pool is REAL." And that giants are not rabbit eaters... he thought to himself. But Seesfar was no adventurer and knew he could never help lead the way back. So he would stay here for now, the pool-hoarding giants could just try and move him. wc: 395 twc: 2213

Drift purposefully ignored all the talk about exploring some new land. The adventure called to him, but he had more important things to do. He had had enough of this talking, and had already gone above and beyond his guardian role just escorting the strangers here. He really needed to get back to the Arbor and see how the sick were doing there. But he was coming around to these rabbits and their plight. Hadn't the Arbor taken him in as a displaced straggler once? It sounded like they were just lost and displaced from their old warren. He couldn't just dump them here and be done with it as planned, this pale doe was not having it. What warren didn't welcome visitors anyway? The Pool rabbits were possibly creepier than the strangers when he thought about it. Rejoining the rabbits, he cleared his throat as he sat up tall on his haunches to be heard over the babble. " I will be going back to my home, the warren known as the Arbor. It is near where we first met you, travelers. I want to extend an invitation to any of you that need a more permanent home, my warren will welcome you as long as you mean no harm. We are peaceful and welcome strangers, especially ones with good stories to tell!" He was pretty sure Smudge and the others wouldn't mind. Hopefully. But he needed to get back and tell them about this and the Pool. He checked to see if any were coming and prepared to head home. wc: 247 twc: 2460

Loam had snagged a quick drink from the pool hoping it would sooth her and rid her of the sniffles she'd developed. Nothing like a bunch of rabbits bringing the plague with them, she thought morbidly and rolled her eyes. But now they're all going on about this place called Luremire. Asking for rabbits to travel with them. Well no way was she going to travel with a bunch of strange rabbits. Soot was thrilled with all the talk and chatter going through all the rabbits. He kept moving around, listening to everyone. The strange ones were by far the best to listen to. They came from a strange far off place, how exciting! "Achoo," Soot was taken by surprise with another sneeze. Oh my, this is becoming a thing, he thought, wiping his nose. But enough of that, so many stories among the strangers. He decided to first check out the pool and heck, take a quick drink. Story gathering was thirsty work! But he nearly toppled in, but felt a tug and bump. Loam was about to retreat back into the burrows, it was time for a lie down, but some bumbling buck about drowned himself in the pool. Luckily she was about the grab him by the scruff and push him with her body. "You should be more careful," she said sternly and then moved away from the crowd.Soot could only blink at the gruff doe he took was an attendant of the pool. "Uh..thank you," he barely got out. He got up and shook himself. By now, the strange rabbits were asking for volunteers to go to their land of Luremire. "Ohh!! Oh I'll go!" he said excitedly. Stories and a journey to a strange land, he was so in. WC: 296 Total: 997

Bark tried to take in all of this information. It seemed bizarre to him there could be an entire... place that he didn't even know existed! Bark wasn't much of an explorer though. He was happiest at the pool, tending to it and keeping it safe. For him, this was all he needed. He looked around at the gathering of rabbits and decided that if there was going to be some sort of expedition to this place, the pool would need him to stay and keep it safe. "I will stay here and look after the pool, Moonbeam. We will probably be having many sick rabbits coming in to drink of the water and heal from this awful sickness. The pool will need Guardians to stay near." He nodded his head decisively and hopped over to the pool's edge, taking a deep sip himself to hopefully cure the illness that kept making his eyes water and his head ache. Red was so excited! A new land?? An exploration??? Weird rabbits???? Oh she was so there. This would make an amazing story for the warren! Plus, obviously her amazing tracking and exploration skills were going to be needed. "I will come!" She excitedly yelled out and moved closer to the gathering group of rabbits and Moonbeam. Rosemary let a small smirk grace her features as she took in all the information being provided. Oh yes, she was going to go to this... Luremire. She wanted to be one of the first rabbits in this new area, and hopefully she would be able to find something worthy of bringing back to the king of Bramblefell to secure her membership to the warren. She moved out from the edges of the group and closer to the doe who seemed to be in charge. With a low but confident voice, she sat up straighter and made herself known. "I would be happy to assist in this journey." Popo and Leaf had rolled themselves to the edge of the pool as soon as they heard the magical words saying the water would make them feel better. Both drank so deeply their bellies were round and sloshy. Leaf rested his head against Popo's back and the two sick rabbits blearily tried to follow what was going on but... they decided to use their little strength to concentrate on recuperating. Whatever weird place all these rabbits were talking about could wait. Popo fell into a deep sleep while the water's magic worked its wonders, and Leaf followed her into slumber soon after, clutching his leaf in his paw and cuddling it to his chest. Meeko didn't know what to do. Should he go back home? Should he stay here?? He was so confused. And scared. Everything sounded scary. All he really wanted to do was crawl into a hole and hide there until all these giants went away. He saw two rabbits sleeping near the pool, one of them was cuddling a leaf. They didn't seem like giants... and they looked nice and warm and maybe he could just hide over by them. He scooted over to where the tw lay and cautiously curled up against them, hiding his face in one of their fur. They didn't move at all and Meeko immediately felt better with his face hidden away. Yes, sleeping and hiding was way better than journeying and scary things. wc:565 total:1748

Abraxas listened to the talk of the rabbits....Lumiere? He had traveled all over the place and he still had never heard of this. He just stayed still and surveyed all the rabbits and listened . When they mentioned the pool he looked to Theia and nodded and he inched his way to the edge and took a sip from it. His head had been a little foggy and nose a little stuffy and maybe it was the talk of its supposed healing properties but he thought his head was feeling better already. He was very curious of this strange place these new comers were from though.... Antheia perked at hearing the pool could heal the sickness that had spread recently throughout their known worlds as its come to be. That was something good at least, but this Lumiere land was a little frightening if they just cast out their rabbits to be devoured by whatever they believed was out in the 'darkness' as they called it. Luckily they found the pool instead. But there are still too many unanswered questions. She watched Abraxas take a drink from the pool and he seemed better so she too took a drink even though she felt fine, better safe than sorry right? She smiled at Abraxas when he looked at her as he seemed to be studying everybody as they just listened to what was going on.It was then that one of the newcomers said she would lead them back to Lumiere to talk to her Elders in the South and that one of the others may go to the North to their own Elders! Abraxas and Antheia looked at one another the same thought crossing their minds. "Theia, you don't have to go. I can go, it could be dangerous!", he spoke with concern for his friend but Theia just smiled gently and touched her friends paw. "Are you kidding?! The chance to go on an actual adventure and best of all with my best friend! I wouldnt miss it." Abraxas would try to object but he could see he wouldn't win so he sighed and asked the only thing he could, "Alright then little miss shall we go North or South?"
Theia puffs out her chest and stands tall and looks to the rabbit from Lumiere that said she would lead them South. "My name Antheia and this is my friend Abraxas. We will go South with you. You can consider us companions and friends!", she says with a genuine and warm smile hoping to ease her worries some.
