「PERSONALITY」
Clever, manipulative, and quick on his feet, Sandstorm is a force to be reckoned with. He may not be the largest male, but he's witty and a flurry of teeth when angered. He seems to always be plotting, although he hides it behind humor and false charm. He'll persuade the fur off your back if it was possible. Truthfully, Sandstorm only has interest in two things; what benefits him and what is good for the pack (The Sand Raiders). He struggles to get close to those emotionally, as he's fairly cautious and wants to remain the lovable Beta in his packs eyes. His own pack members might never get past his outward smiles and pretense.
He's far more sarcastic and darker in humor if someone can successfully bond with him. He's aware his true nature might be... not impressive, but with true friends he drops all pretense. He trusts the Alpha and other three Beta's to see him as he is, but currently that's it. Truthfully, underneath he's far more vulnerable than he'd like for anyone to know. Sandstorm loves deeply, whether that be familial, platonic, or romantic love. He's passionate about the lives he lets into his heart and will fight tooth and claw for them until his legs could no longer move, and even then he'd try.
Due to this, Sandstorm might feel something for a wolf that is hidden. He might genuinely like someone he is pretending to be another way around. This is very evident with his pack members, who he'd leap into danger for at a hearts notice. He'd, frankly, die for his pack. After losing his ex-mate during a raid Sandstorm has become fiercely protective of his pack and the lives within it. He vehemently insists no one shall ever lose another friend or mate violently under his eye.
He knows that can't entirely be promised. He knows fate will test him. He can't protect everyone at all times, and he can't stop wolves from doing dumb things. He isn't responsible for every single life in the pack, but he feels it. He takes his job very seriously, and as a result shuts a lot of who he is down.
Love will come very difficult for Sandstorm. After losing his first mate, who he loved desperately, he's closed off any chance for romance to bloom again. It feels wrong, and he's still pining for her. Still hoping she'd one day magically return home. He tends to not notice flirting, and if it is brought to his attention he can fluctuate between anger or plain surprise depending on who said wolf is. He is incredibly weird around pregnant she-wolves and actively becomes aggressive when it comes to their health and protection. Speculation is his ex-mate being pregnant at the time of her death caused this.

「BIOGRAPHY」
█ || Puppy ⋯
His parents were also members of The Sand Raiders, and so were their parents. Really, Sandstorm comes from a long line of old-bloods, resulting in why he's so proud of his pack. He instantly grew close to Night Fell as a puppy, as they both were young at the time. His wit, sass, and sarcasm was present at this age and would remain so for awhile. Sandstorm was, for the most part, a pup with little worry and a big heart.
As a wee child he kept trying to sneak onto raid expeditions. Of course, that didn't fly, but it was clear he'd be a productive member of the pack as an adult. He often was on the heels of older wolves, trying to see what they were up to and what they were doing.

He flourished in pack duties as a young adult, but that was expected. His personality warped as he began to grow more self-conscious, becoming the masked sweet and sugary nature over his true sass and humor. His loyalty was unquestionable and he advanced quickly into Beta status.
He met a wolf named Quick Lemon during the beginning of his Betahood. When she introduced himself he literally couldn't stop himself from laughing to the point he was on the ground. Annoyed, Quick Lemon asked what was so funny, to which he blurted "who would name their child that?!"
Her response was, reasonably; "My parents."
Of course after that he couldn't maintain his facade around her, and honestly he didn't want to. What started as constant teasing for her name turned into a violent crush. She gave him a run for his money, but after he learned to behave they became mates. Sandstorm was over the moon about it, and quickly they conceived. He was going to be a dad!
Except, he wasn't. During a raid he allowed her to join. It was the early stages of pregnancy and she insisted on being useful; you try telling an angry pregnant lady no to something. Unfortunately, the raid got violent and she was the only fatality. His heart broke. He was bitter for a period of time before it subsided into a coldness. He began holding wolves at a distance. Of course, most didn't notice. He remained the fake charming and sweet prince, but he withdrew. He focused entirely on his role and the safety of the pack over making deep connections.
He loves his duty and pack, but the death of Quick Lemon has scarred him. He refuses to allow another wolf to die under his watch, and while he can't promise that he wishes he could.

His Alpha. He listens attentively to Night Fell and their commands, but he feels comfortable sliding in a small sarcastic response or teasing the male. Night Fell is someone he feels relaxed around, so if you see them laughing quietly somewhere it's most likely to some fun banter occurring. Sandstorm would be mortified if anyone found out.

A friend made when Sandstorm wanted to challenge her endurance in heat. She seemed to linger around him ever since, and even took interest in the Sand Raiders. Sandstorm enjoys her company and seems to be able to let her see the more sarcastic and humorous side of him.

While exploring the river he finds Yucca, a curious wolf who insists on wanting to experience the desert despite her inability to handle heat effectively. Sandstorm is amused and offers to show her around his home, mostly because he is certain she'll fail.
