Spoke too soon. As soon as she had completed another lap of the sky Lacerta felt her crane jostle and swerve to the right. The young man from before, whom she'd bumped into had returned. As her points dropped harmlessly below Lacerta narrowed her eyes before speeding off. It didn't take that much time to collect points. Besides she sought out the snitch, er crane.
Grumbling incessantly Lacerta reached into a nearby cloud and pulled out something that was different this time. Her hand opened on a golden crane and she crowed with delight. She'd done it. She'd found the crane. Was that it then? Was this trial completed?
Earlier when she'd amassed ten points and left nothing had happened ... but what about now? And now she wanted to find Acubens once more. Her hand grasped the paper crane tightly to her chest as she glided around the sky. Did she have to present her prize to the referee? Questions and not enough answers. Speeding off Lacerta glanced to and fro for the one who was reffing this trial.
ACUBENS is ENTERING HP: 40/40 Inventory: (1)Health Potion, (1)Damage Potion
Acubens arrived on her crane, the sheer force of her drive to just be done with all of this pushing her forward with a set jaw and a heavy brow.
And she arrived just in time, too.
She halted her crane as Lacerta reached into a cloud and pulled free a... no. It couldn't be? It wasn't until Lacerta cried out in triumph that Acubens spurred her crane on with a cry that mirrored Lacerta's, leaping as Mel did from his own crane. She landed on the back of Lacerta's with a small sound of impact and smashed the teenager into a bear hug.
"YOU ARE INCREDIBLE," she cried as she pressed the girl as close as she could. Gods above, Acubens could have cried.
All at once, the Sky seemed to stop. Clouds didn't move, the currents that they rode against or on seemed to disappear. There was a breathless moment as the golden crane was caught. Time itself seemed to stop before fast forwarding.
From the golden crane, came a blinding light in her hand, and then shot up and towards the peak of the atmosphere. Golden showers rained down on everyone and the bottle that kept them trapped there seemed to shake and then calm.
Mintaka, but not really Mintaka replaced, was a Lady with golden white hair and a ornate golden red kimono came over, taking the crane from Lacerta.
"Thank you." She smiles at her, "For freeing us from their trap. This world no longer has to participate in the trials for her. We're free." She takes the golden crane, before releasing it back to the freedom it was so carefully flitting about before.
But Lacerta would not go home empty handed. Replaced in her hand was a large red potion. "For your fight against....." The woman looks away before smiling.
"You ALL may leave if you want, or you can continue to play in the sky." She breathes out, "Thank you again. For freeing us from....." And with that, the woman disappears.

Lacerta has gained a Mega Attack Potion which does 100 damage. Lacerta will also recieve a special IC prize at the end of the event for catching the golden snitch....er crane!

And like that, it was over.
The girl he'd jostled had wrapped her hands around the flitting, hard to catch, golden crane. Jealousy flashed hotly in his belly and he struggled not to grind his teeth against each other when he glared the girl's way. She was rewarded, handsomely it seemed, and the impulse to fly over and take what should have been his was strong.
He managed to reign the desire in, though he made note of her appearance-- who she seemed to be -- before he opted to think of other things.
Sure, the crane had been released and they'd been offered a chance to continue the game but if the true obstacle had been defeated, there was no point.
He thought about the initial bottle, wondering if the others had made it back.
It was time to check.

Lacerta felt the impact from Acubens and the resulting bear hug even as the crane in her hand burst open with a blinding light. The teen was awestruck as she followed the beam as it travelled up into the atmosphere only to rain down as golden showers on the players still circling on their cranes. The display was beautiful. Her eyes were shining as she took in the entire display. Her crane had stilled as had others and the teen had to wonder if everyone else was just as amazed as she was.
When Mintaka was revealed not to be the real Mintaka Lacerta sat up taller on her crane and listened to the lady's platitudes about how'd she had set them free. The crane was plucked from her hand and released and almost immediately did another vial of potion replace it. With reverence the senshi of bandages tucked the newest potion away for safe-keeping before sniffling softly. A happy ending had occurred in this bottle and it seemed as if she had been the reason.
Lacerta glanced back towards Acubens. What did they do now? Would they stay and wait for Jason or head back to try another trial? She was still sort of dazed from being the one to find the golden crane. Her voice was soft as she turned back to hug Acubens in return.
"I can't believe I found it. It's unreal," without much aplomb she added hurriedly, "should we wait for Jason before moving on?"

Oh wow, that would come in handy, Acubens thought as she watched the woman who wasn't Mintaka at all hand over a bottle of something very vicious looking. However, Acubens had played enough video games to be worried when big health and attack boosters were given out like that. The small stuff that was handed out willy nilly, no big deal. Big prizes like this? Acubens furrowed her brow again.
Whoever trapped this woman and her world was pretty big and pretty bad... Acubens had flashes back to Altea and shuddered. The crystal queen hadn't exactly been easy to beat, and even though this whole ordeal felt distinctly different than Altea's castle had, she couldn't stop noticing the resemblances.
Lacerta speaking caught her attention.
"If the trial is over then there's no reason to stay here. May as well head back and wait for him by the other trial bottles."
Thinking of the hub, Acubens vanished from Lacerta's crane.
It was curious now that she replayed the woman's words about not having to participate in the trials for her. Who was "her?" Still pondering that Lacerta felt Acubens shift around on her crane before hearing her friend speak about seeing no reason to stick around.
Lacerta watched as Acubens vanished from behind her and thinking of the central hub, Lacerta quickly followed suit. Had other trials been completed now? How about that gravekeeper? And where the heck was Mel?

Cheom watched the way the other glowered, terrified as she realized it was an agent of the Negaverse... Here, where they needed to get out, everyone had to work on it, but she knew, instinctively, that this was her enemy and he had EVERY reason to attack her...
And then he did not, he simply grinned and saluted. She almost gave into the panic that was overwhelming her, now that the potential disaster was over... Almost but she did not. She managed to keep herself in control, and instead, checked for Arthur again. He seemed to have succeeded at what it was they needed to do... So she looked around, and began to hunt again.
She dove, dove hard, and reached out, trying to get the the object that had caught her eye. To her disappointment and surprise it was another one of those strange bits of solid cloud. She sighed and pulled up, heading for Arthur... She had her ten points, but she had not managed to get the Golden Sn... Crane. How disappointing, but at least they had completed the trial, each of them. "Arthur, what shall we do now?"
At the very least there were others around that were handling all of this a lot better than Phoebe was, or maybe they just hadn't witnessed the poor cat get blown up. Someone else that hadn't been frozen in shock had managed to get the golden crane they'd been tasked to retrieve and the disembodied voice from above was congratulating them.
With a shaky sigh of relief the Senshi of euphoria made her way back to the central hub where there was solid ground beneath her feet and a distinct lack of flying grey balls that blew people up.

[Arthur] Inventory: 2 Health Potion HP: 30/30 Points: 10
He moved his crane up to Cheom and flicked his tail, seeming agitated more and more by the place. There were no REAL birds to catch here and that bothered him.
"We should find someplace else. They said we had trails. I don't want to eat clouds all day. It's not fun for me, and I don't like riding birds." He grumbled.
He moved closer, wishing he could steer the crane enough to ask for a pet. It was much easier just to nuzzle someone when you were on their shoulder.
Cheom turned and looked at Arthur, examining his body language and realizing how stressed he was. "Mmm I think that is a good plan. I wouldn't call this place fun either. More 'terrifying'. So yeah, let's figure this out.
She turned on her crane, looking around and trying to work out how to get out of here. It was such a strange place, and there had been no explanation of how to move from one challenge to another. After studying the air and sky around them, she turned back to Arthur, a slight frown on her face.
"I do not see any way to get to the other bottles from here. I think we might need to return to the place where they were, back to that hub." She frowned, and started to think about how to get back to the strange hub space... And as she thought about it, she disappeared, her crane turning back into one of the flying charms as she did.
He had no idea either. There were no platforms. No doors. No visible ground to park the cranes and go elsewhere. They had just appeared by bottles and he hadn't seen any since coming to this place. Just as he was considering this, Cheom vanished.
"Cheom? Cheom?!" He yowled and noticed she hadn't fallen. There was that. Was she kicked out of this place.
"I wanna go to!" He called to the sky. "I'm done. I wanna follow here. Uh... Exit! Out! Uh.......please?"
He soon vanished leaving the star crane behind.

The air around you begins to vibrate. You can feel it. Suddenly, in the middle of the space, a black hole opens up, and it's sucking you in!
