Finally Zuhra caught up to him, coincidentally right as he ran into Umehiyo who began to speak and also semi-apologize which made him merely shake his head before reaching forward to lightly pat her shoulder, giving her a soft smile before shaking his head to indicate it wasn't a big deal before responding to her when she asked if they were okay while also handing them their reward which happened to be the current form of currency, or perhaps previous form? He would have to ask later, or perhaps now... with movements far gentler than what should be possible from the man, he reached forward to grasp the bag however he stopped himself, pulling his hand back when Zuhra stuck his hand out to allow the bag to fall into it, silently agreeing that he should take the money and split it or even keep it. After a moment he spoke, looking both at Zuhra and also Umehiyo."It wasn't a problem, despite her somewhat intimidating look she wasn't too difficult to deal with. Pincer attacks cut off most movement which let us get off injury free. I hope you don't mind me asking both of you but, is this a new currency or old? I don't recall it when I was last awake before the crystal."
With that said he looked over at Zuhra, watching as a strange metallic liquid began to cover him before he was covered entirely in a beautiful set of plate armor. With a blink Lupus reached forward, pressing his massive palm against the metal before pulling it back after confirming it was now solid as can be, seemingly capable of taking even his strongest hit easily. With a blink he looked down at the mans feet, watching the armor return back into a familiar looking pair of boots to him. With an amused grin he pulled his backpack around, reaching into it before pulling out a pair of boots that looked exactly the same. With a thumbs up towards Zuhra he put his own boots on, opposite of the man before a similar in design regarding lack of facial features and general liquid appearance set of armor began to crawl up his own legs. Instead of being silver with golden trim like Zuhra's, Lupus' was a mixture of pitch black and dark purple, covering his entire body like a beautiful set of ancient knight armor, accompanied with a gorgeous black cloak that covered half of his body. Grinning to himself under the mask he glanced at Zuhra before reaching forward to thud the mans armored shoulder with his own pitch black armored hand.
Glancing to the side at Jean the tower of a man waved casually, semi inviting the man to come interact with them whilst also greeting him should he choose not to. He didn't mind regardless but considering how silent he was and how Lupus had one potential ally he was willing to go out of his comfort zone and try to make a few friends along the way, especially one who he'd noticed messing with material earlier which could lead to beneficial things for him like a damn cloak that covered him fully since it was very easy to spot a giant man either wearing black and purple armor or golden plate armor, alongside a giant demonic gunbai and also a large spear.

_______________A Thief Has Appeared... ||
The pair accepting the pouch seemed to make Umehiyo happy because her smile returned. "Ah, oh. It's actually a mix of ryo from the old world and a type called raak from one of the other races we've encountered since, well... waking up here. They technically have different values when interacting with the Anzu, but we just use them as the same for now." With a small bow and another 'thank you' she made her leave.
There was one armor, and now there were two of them zipping and zapping armor on and off themselves like they were waxing a car or something. Jean quirked up an eyebrow as he began to lose interest. It appeared, if he had to guess, that the two were more likely to have mysteriously found these items, like how he had mysteriously found his bag of holding and immovable rod, rather than receiving them from the original crafter.
Having lost his reason to walk up to the pair of his own volition, Jean was about ready to continue on his stiff way to his workshop. Except the giant of the pair took the initiative to invite Jean over. Jean looked back over in their direction. To be fair, it would be a rare sight indeed to see Jean needing much convincing to approach good looking folks.
"You called?" the pale teen asked as he approached the two. He appraised their forms. Yes. They looked quite nice, which left a good first impression on Jean. However, Jean wasn't warm enough to be friendly with merely a good first impression.

Umehiyo would offer her thanks once more and take her leave, going back to her little own merry life. Zuhra couldn't say he was particularly sad to see her go, but he sure loved to watch her leave, all he could think of was mmm mmm, yeah yeah. Around this time Lupus would bwap him in the shoulder with a friendly fist bump which caught his attention and upon turning to see what the other male wanted he was greeted with his new acquaintance wearing a new set of armor, one different than his other, to which he turned to face him and gave him finger guns with a smug smirk.
Lupus called out to someone off to the side of them, or more accurately he waved to them essentially beckoning them over and what Zuhra's beady red predatorial eyes landed upon brought a thin smile to his lips, it being none other than the pretty-boy from the other day. Jean walked up and started the conversation, breaking the silence with the mentioning of being called over. Zuhra would give Jean a passive look before excusing himself with a gesture of his hand and stepping off to the side for a moment as he rummaged around in his bag.
As he found what he was looking for, the helmet and chest-plate to his armor melted away and he pulled out two arrows from his storage bag. After walking up behind Jean, the Ancestor would attempt to stab both himself and the shorter male in the shoulder with the arrows, enough to get a penetration but not in a super damaging way, their survival depended on keeping their bodies in top shape after all.
Zuhra's eyes would clear up for a brief moment as if he was just coming to the realization of what he had done, but before he could react with any proper or expected reaction, his eyes would fog over again with a more pinkish hue taking over his pearly reds while he starred down at the lovely specimen before him.❝Hey..❞he cooed to his newfound lover with a soft enticing voice.

It wasn't everyday you saw a giant like Lupus half hunched half crouched staring intently at a small red-head, but apparently today was that day since she was teaching him a bit about the money. After a moment he nodded his head, stashing the money into his pack before standing up and waving goodbye to Umehiyo. With that all taken care of he focused entirely on Jean, his piercing amber eyes watching him intently from behind his now faceless mask.
When the lanky boy finally arrived next to him and Zuhra he spoke loudly, reaching behind him to grab his pack excitedly. "I happened to notice you working with some fabric while interacting with Kaileer earlier, I was wondering if perhaps you'd be able to make me a cloak using these?"From within his plain brown pack he retrieved 3 beautiful wolf pelts, although they weren't the best quality ever they were definitely good, little to no rough pieces and very few if any at all holes near the outer edges. He held them in his two arms, stretching them out fully to show them to Jean before speaking once again.
"Aside from these three wolf pelts I also have some basic iron ore if its needed for anything, and now five-hundred... Ryo I believe its called. If that can pay for the missing materials I'd be happy to use it."With that said he stopped talking, whilst simultaneously allowing his new found armor to retract into the boots, allowing the man to see his kind smile while he silently watched the two remaining people. He hoped it would work out, considering his size and appearance he definitely needed something to cover himself with in town, and he didn't have much money to just buy a cloak nearby, so the chance was nice. Especially so if he ended up being able to make one using both the pelts and perhaps ore or something else of durable structure.
After a moment of thinking he noticed Zuhra reach into his pack before retrieving two strange looking arrows, moving forward slowly to silently and swiftly stab Jean with it, or at least attempting to from what he could see. With a blink Lupus gave an odd cough before simply folding the wolf pelts back up and placing them into his pack. With that happening he doubted he would be making his business deal here and now, so it was best to keep his hands free to potentially stop Zuhra if the man went too far.
Reaching up with his now free right hand he rubbed his temples in irritation, not realizing this would be how calling over Jean would end up."Dammit Zuhra, you weren't supposed to stab the man... I needed a cloak made you b*****d. If he says no now I'm going to be very annoyed." He mumbled darkly, his eyes narrowing as he gazed upon the man, anger clear in his eyes.

The wolf pelts weren't anything amazing to look at. They were just wolf pelts, after all. However, as materials were lacking in this day and age to humans, they firmly held Jean's interest nonetheless. Besides, their fur certainly had its own beauty, even if it wasn't perfect, and before long, Jean could be seen staring intently at Lupus, sizing him up. Yes, he liked the way this was going. A small smile, barely noticeable. He found inspiration in the match between this giant with a powerful build and the pelts of wild beasts, perhaps even beasts that he had killed himself.
Jean forgot that he should probably try to barter to strike a deal, but he remembered that he did not look forward to travelling outside the village to collect materials. Thus, he was more than eager to offer his services, "The pelts alone should be more than enough to make one cloak. Though, I can't make any guarantees..." He stopped mid sentence, frowning at Lupus, who had suddenly coughed and then withdrawn the materials.
Then he felt a p***k on his shoulder, which caused him to immediately move away, turn to the offender, and glare at him. To begin with, Jean hated seeing his body damaged. Add on that he was already mildly annoyed, and it would explain why Jean reacted so dramatically to just a small poke.
"Excuse," Jean glowered at Zuhra, his hand touching the shallow stab wound to assess the injury. His body was resistant to scarring, but just in case, he should go to the medical building for something to make sure it healed without marring his skin. However, his voice lost all of the indignation by the time he got to, "me?". He even stopped worrying about what might become of his body.
His heart thumped painfully. He forgot to breathe, and when he remembered, he took in an overly deep breath. The cold air pierced through his nose and lungs, but there was also the faint trace of a warm smell, too musky for Jean's tastes, but he found himself liking it. "Good morning," he answered in a dazed monotone, his voice stiff and awkward.
Jean's eyes had widened, giving him a rare vulnerable look, but his face otherwise looked the same. The blush he had going on couldn't be seen through his pale skin... Though, perhaps more accurately, his mood was certainly a blushing one, but he didn't have the ability to blush much at all.
Then, just as suddenly as the love dazed look, Jean directed his sight downwards and frowned. He set his mouth in a grim line as he remembered this man had stabbed him. The act of damaging his body wasn't something he could forgive, but if he wanted to get to know this stranger... No no no. He must not fall into temptation and forgive this man.
He didn't know who this man was. He didn't know why he suddenly felt this way. Truth be told, he didn't even know what he was feeling... What did that arrow do to him? His opinion of this man should have dropped by now, but instead, Jean was finding it harder with each passing moment to leave him.
Jean's blue eyes looked up at Zuhra's pinkish-red. Their ever-blue hues looked as untarnished as a polished doll's eyes, pleasing to look at but emotionally flat. They couldn't convey the confusion, the searching, the longing Jean felt. He... had wanted some company, right? It had been a little lonely, even if he hated crowds... or socializing in general. [1/how many posts?]
xxxxxA very upset and very tired figure finally wandered up to Zuhra and Lupus. Swiftly, a wooden spoon would whack both of them in the back of the knee. "If you two run off again and leave me standing there like a buffoon again, I am going to shatter both of your knee caps and spoon feed you my sauce."
The pair would turn around to find a red-faced and sweaty Masako, angrily gripping a demonic looking spoon. Her lion pelt was tied around her shoulders forming a makeshift cloak. Although the pair easily stood twice as tall as she was, her threat was a real one. Or at least she would try her best. Though Masako doubted her threat was the most pressing thing at the moment. It seemed that there was some tension forming between Zuhra and the odd looking merchant they were chatting with.

As Zuhra peered into Jean's dolly blues he was infatuated by their seemingly artificial allure. The Ancestor found himself reaching up towards the cheek of the male in front of him in an attempt to both caress it and comfort the male, since he seemed displeased and at the moment Zuhra wanted nothing more than to calm him.❝I'm sorry, little one..❞A sickly sweet aroma caught the attention of the lovebird and he forced himself to tear his gaze away from Jean's in search of the origin of essentially what was the ambrosia for his kind and he would quickly find it as a small trail of red seeped from the p***k-wound of the arrow which caused his tongue to sweep across his teeth and bottom of his upper lip in savory anticipation.
However, his tasting of Jean's water of life would be halted as what appeared to be tendrils would come from the wound and repair the doll's body, which albeit shocked him to say the least, but he chose to ignore it for now, after all he wasn't exactly normal either. What could he do.. just oh what could he do to please this man before him. He quickly wracked his brain with ideas and came to what he thought was an ample solution. Zuhra would turn to Lupus and start hesitantly,❝You uh, you had,❞he would clear his throat in an attempt to compose himself before continuing,❝I'm sorry, you had some pelts you were trying to show?❞
About this time the closest thing he had to a sister would arrive flustered and exhausted, all pink in the face and what not and smack the dynamic duo in their legs to show her frustration with the two. Why was she here again? He had instructed her to stay behind where it was safe last he recalled, but not that it mattered, Jean was more important right now. [1/3]

It would seem the arrow Zuhra stabbed both himself and Jean with had some form of love magic attached to it, perhaps a form of temporary enchanting spell? With a deep exhale the man shifted his piercing gaze fully upon Zuhra, irritation clear within them as he stared at the man. Thankfully Jean had managed to inform him of some information regarding the cloak with his pelts, so he knew it was feasible to have one made by him even if it wasn't a guarantee. Either way he was willing to let him try, since the pelts would just sit in his pack if not since he wasn't in a proper area to trade the pelts or at least not with his current situation.
Alongside the annoying situation with Zuhra and Jean it would seem their other teammate had caught up, smacking them both in the knee with her demonic ladle painfully though in reality Lupus mostly just blinked at her before rubbing the back of his head quietly. He didn't feel very threatened of course but he wasn't really in the mood to argue with someone over something minor like that, especially considering he still had more important things to do; like get his damn cloak made.
Closing his eyes in irritation and some disgust upon watching Zuhra, Lupus merely waited before hearing the half naked man talk to him. His smoldering amber eyes opened to stare upon the two of them before once more reaching into his pack to retrieve the wolf pelts. Upon which he forcefully grabbed Jean's hand before placing them into it with a dark look on his face. "Keep the excess, just make me a cloak. I have more important things to do right now. Keep this up Zuhra and I'll be using you as my training dummy here soon." He grumbled before reached over and grabbed a random chair from nearby to sit in with his arms crossed firmly over his chest as he watched the three in front of him.

Whether or not this is true is difficult to say at best, given none were meant to have survived, but the pale white leather that covers the faces of the weapon definitely do look and feel like stretched human flesh. With the steel handle twisted and cast in such a way that it looks like human faces are screaming out from the shaft and the bladded edge of the Gunbai seeming to reflect light in odd, twisted ways it is clear that whatever its origins it was clearly designed for fear. Yet the truly horrific parts come when Usugi is awoken, caused by fifty [50] Chakra or Stamina points being spent as a sacrifice to the thing that guards within. tab → The Howling Shards ► Water and wind, fire, earth and lightning powers controlled by the wielder find their techniques altered thematically when used alongside this weapon. The earth, tormented by its power, is black and rotted with decay, carrying with it the sweet stench of death. Jean only had eyes for Zuhra right now, finding it harder to look away with each passing moment. From the flash of white teeth against dark skin to the completely bared body with its well-defined lines, he had begun inspecting Zuhra so thoroughly that it looked like Jean was ready to reach out at any moment to feel him with his own hands. His head turned, hair shifting to one side and revealing a slim line of neck above the high collar of his coat. While his eyes were almost ravenous in their search for an unknown, his face held a frown that only deepened with every passing moment. Jean was completely engrossed in struggling to explain the emotions that coursed through his body.
Actually that was a lie. Jean didn't hear what his own lover, though he didn't know it yet, had to say, much less see the pink haired girl come up, though under any other circumstance, he would have silently praised her appearance as soon as she appeared. Lupus, however. Far too easily, Lupus got Jean's full attention when he brought the pelts out again. Jean's head snapped to the pelts, and as talk of crafting came up, he attentively listened, even nodding slightly.
The pelts had knocked Jean out of his daze, and now that he was free of the confusing entanglement of chains, his reaction to his newfound emotions changed from searching to... running away. Despite this new reaction, Jean couldn't help but sneak a glance Zuhra, but when he did, his frown deepened and in the coldest voice he could muster, he firmly set up his defenses, "Stay away from me. You're distracting," before turning around and quickly striding his way into a not too far away workshop.
A slight tremble in his voice, and though his face was as pallid as ever, the tips of his ears, where the skin was thinnest, had turned a faint shade of pink. He even absentmindedly dropped one of the pelts when he turned into the workshop and slammed the door with undoubtedly much more force than necessary.
As soon as the doors slammed shut, golden threads that Jean had been holding back beneath the surface of his skin appeared from his body, twisting and turning in insistently delicate patterns. Many pressed against the closed door, wanting to touch a certain someone. Jean leaned against the door himself. Though, more to keep someone from walking in on him accidentally. With a wavering breath, Jean managed to easily draw the tendrils back in after letting them out for a brief moment. [3/3? Or is this 2/3? I dunno mang.]
xxxxxHer teammates and the merchant seemed content to just ignore Masako. Grumbling under her breath, Masako pulled her lion skin over her head like a hood and plopped down on the ground next to the group. She slowly began to draw circles on the ground with her finger waiting for group to finish or for someone to notice her presence with more than a grunt.

Zuhra tried his best to ignore Lupus who was overreacting to the situation quite heavily, who was looking at the man like he had sank his teeth right into Jean and began to suck him dry despite that not being the case for he tried extra hard to stop himself from doing exactly that. When the pelts were returned the the light of day Jean's attention was snatched away from Zuhra, a bit more aggressively than he had expected, but what really drove the nail in the proverbial coffin was the way Jean looked at him after he had grabbed the pelts coupled with the words he muttered before running away to a workshop just down the street.
The Ancestor was about to enter a gloomy state but noticed something lying in the snow against the door to the workshop, something that perhaps could get the attention of Jean. Running over he would scoop the crafting material off the ground and reach for the handle to the door but stopped himself, choosing to instead lean his head against the door and press his free hand against it as well,❝Baby it's cold outside.. Open up please? B-besides, you dropped a pelt, I'll give it back to you if you make me a cloak, or you could just warm me up yourself y'know..❞ (( 2/3 ))

Oh, it was so very tempting. However, in the end, Jean haughtily turned his head away from the door and, with steps that would be heard clearly through even the door, walked away with two pelts he hadn't dropped. It was a tragedy that he had to give up a pelt, something he wouldn't originally do, but that strange feeling inside of him was making him take such drastic actions.
Looking at the pelts in his hand and contemplating the work ahead, Jean quickly calmed down. His eyes grew distant at the thought of Zuhra wearing this pelt... before he wildly shook his head and grew angry at himself.
Perhaps, before working on this cloak, he should get into the proper mindset with some other crafts. Jean reached into his bag of holding for his unspecified plethora of fabrics again. Grabbing some of the sturdier lengths, he turned them into a pair of simple but more durable than normal wristbands, and consequently less prettier. Cloth armor wristbands. [1/1 Tier 0 cloth wrist guard] [Tier 0; Rank 1] [success]
Feeling slightly more confident, Jean started creating a set of cloth gloves. Light but durable, he imagined that these gloves would work well with those who needed to be nimble of fingers but still wanted some protection. He also imagined the slender fingers that would fit perfectly into the gloves. Thin, yet certainly not fragile, and if one were to... Jean snapped out of it, but it was too late. The gloves were already made, and masterfully embroidered, too... [1/1 Tier 0 cloth gloves] [Tier 0; Rank 2] [masterwork]
Slapping the gloves down on the work table, Jean tried to clear his head once again. He picked up a new project. With more force than necessary, Jean cut a strip of fabric, trimmed it, folded it, then sewed it. He then took more fabric and layered it atop the first then sewed the layers closed. Once that was done, he used his tailoring skills to sew in a simple design, one that he recalled from Shea's headband. [1/1 Tier 0 cloth headband] [Tier 0; Rank 3] [masterwork]
Sticking to the theme of simple rectangles, Jean made what was, essentially, a bigger version of the first item. Cut, trim, fold, sew. Though, there was no added fabric this time. It was just one, very long piece of fabric. What else was there to do to make a scarf? [1/1] [Tier 0 cloth scarf] [Tier 0; Rank 4] [masterwork]
Deciding he felt a little calmer now, Jean decided he'd try working on something a little closer to what he would be making. Taking the longest piece of cloth yet, Jean cut the length. Then he did what was necessary to turn it into a cloak. Again, this was, quite literally, just a sheet of cloth, sewed and stitched in such a way that would keep it from falling apart in battle. [1/1] [Tier 0 cloth cloak] [Tier 0; Rank 5] [success]
Feeling better about his handiwork now, Jean turned his attention to the wolf fur. The unprocessed fur would probably be better as some sort of leather. Though, the aesthetic of the fur was extremely tempting. To strike the best balance, and because it was the most obvious choice, Jean decided to go with a leather cloak with wolf fur trimmings. A hood was, of course, an obvious addition. The processing of the fabric and creation of the cloak were both simply done. [1/1] [Tier 1 giant's wolf cloak; 5/8 wolf pelt uses (5/12 if counting the one dropped outside)] [Tier 1; Rank 1] [success]
After finishing his job, Jean would walk out of the workshop without much ado, having pleasantly forgotten about Zuhra while invested in his work. Even while folded neatly, the ends of the giant wolf leather cloak in his arms almost touched the ground, and Jean was too busy casting his gaze down at the ground to make sure he didn't trip to notice... whatever Zuhra might still be doing outside. xxxxxMasako continued to sit on the ground, doodling in the snow with her fingers. Zuhra was busy with some other person still and Lupus was apparently sleeping while standing straight up somehow. Masako sighed, standing up and brushing the snow off her clothes. As she often did when she was bored, Masako reached into the main pouch on her satchel and pulled out a notepad and a pencil. She leaned up against the shop and flipped open the notepad. She slowly began sketching the market stalls, doodling in the margins of the paper. Eventually Zuhra would be done with whatever he was doing.
Masako's thoughts drifted to thoughts of food as she waited. Fictitious scents and tastes filled her senses as she day dreamed. Maybe they could finally get some food after this.
Unfortunately, we didn't have much in the way of gemstones available in the storage. It was all likely either sold off, or used by someone else. So my practice in crafting, I supposed, was going to be short that day. Or, well, in lapidary, anyway. Arriving from the gates, I made my way to the storage building, and wound up only taking a small bit of material: a rather large amethyst, and a rich, dark log of mahogany. Both could be used to make a few different things, assuming I didn't mess them up. From there, I headed to the station that I'd made my workshop.
I caught sight of Jean on my way through just before he slammed the door to his shop. Thankfully, I was ninety percent sure that meant he hadn't seen me. We kept interactions to a minimum, after all. I still had no idea what his personal opinion was of me but I knew my antlers stood in the way of any sort of positivity on that front. Still, I habitually ducked my head down anyway so as not to draw attention, and slipped past.
At my workstation, I started as soon as I set my supplies down. Firstly was the gemstone. I carefully chiseled the amethyst into four fairly equal parts so that I could work them down to properly cut gems. I proceeded to set up one of the pieces on a specially designed clamp--thanks to one of the more experienced crafters of the town--underneath a magnifying glass to give a better view.
So from what little I understood of the world I was now in, in their old lives they would have used powered machines, sort of like the Pristri's creations--ah, another bit of information I couldn't connect to any knowledge I should have--that would take most of the work away and allow for much more fine-tuning and precision when working with all sorts of materials. There were versions that had been built now called lathes--a word I did recognize--that were spun by someone turning a wheel while the artisan works, but I didn't have a lathe or anyone to help turn it, so I'd have to cut everything by hand. Which I was fairly good at, if I felt any sort of pride in anything. It was meticulous and often stressful work, but I think the results paid off. Literally, too, because I usually traded the cut gems for some money or other supplies.
Sitting on a stool, I got to work. Starting off, I soaked the stone with some water and carefully scored various places using a steel thread. It took some grinding, but eventually I got the marks to where I wanted them to be. From there, I used a chisel and the light tap of a hammer to cut away the excess material. I had to be careful to hit the scores exactly, or I'd risk messing the whole thing up. [1/2]
Once the general shape was made, I could work on polishing the gem. That was done through various coarse sheets of sanding paper, provided by the crafting station. I wasn't entirely sure how they were made or where people got sand in so many different grains, but I wasn't going to question it. I started with the roughest of the sheets, placing a bit of water on it, and ground down. For these, I chose an octagonal cut, so I could put them into amulets as centerpieces. Once the marks from the first half of my work were gone, I moved onto a finer grain, all the way down to the finest I had on hand. Then the last material I used was a piece of leather, leaving the shaped gem with a good shine. [2/2] [Fine Amethyst Crafted] [+400 exp]
The first one was barely in range of the quality I was aiming for. It was still 'good enough' and would still work for the piece I wanted to make, but hardly. So I moved onto the next one. I clamped the next bit of amethyst and got to work scoring the gemstone in the places I wanted to cut it. Once that was finished, I moved on to chiseling the stone. Already I liked how this one was turning out. Maybe it was a better quality piece of the amethyst i'd gotten, but the cuts went smoothly and before long--which was still a long time, realistically--I had the shape I needed. [1/2]
Moving onto the final shaping and polishing, I once more started with the roughest grain, grinding the marks from chiseling out of the gem and beginning to give it a sheen. From there, I worked down the grains until the edges were clear and it was sized right about where the first one had been. Finally, I polished it with the leather strip for a solid while until the gem shone brilliantly. This one was probably one of the best ones I'd done, and, setting it down beside the first one I made, I could see the difference. I wondered, briefly, how obvious the difference showed to someone inexperienced. [2/2] [Exquisite Amethyst Crafted] [+400 exp]
I wasn't sure how I'd managed such a fantastic jewel, but it gave me the motivation to keep working, even though I was fairly convinced that the I couldn't meet that quality again. And starting on the next one, I could already tell it wouldn't go as well either. Still, it wasn't bad. I shaped the gemstone using a chisel, and then ground it down with water and sandpaper, just as I had the other ones. As expected, the quality wasn't as great, but I felt like I'd gotten into the rhythm and this one went a lot faster and smoother. [1/1] [Fine Amethyst Crafted] [+400 exp] [T2 training complete; T3 unlocked]
Moving onto the last one, I attached it once more carefully to the clamp for it, and started scoring the stone. I wanted to try an oval shape rather than the rectangles I'd been making til that point--technically octagons, but they were long and rectangle-y. This piece had ended up a bit more square than the others, making shaping it into a cut circle a little easier. The only problem was that each of the sides was much smaller, which required more precise strikes. [1/2]
As before, once the general shape had been made, I moved onto sanding and polishing. The process was taking a lot longer than the last few, since this was something new for me to try, but it went smooth enough. I ground down each of the small sides until any markings were gone and it was of an appropriate size, and then moved through each of the different grits until we were down to the smoothest and the stone had gained much of its shine. Finally, I used the strip of leather to polish it the rest of the way. The end result wasn't quite as nice as the second one, but a bit better than the first and third, so that was good at least. [2/2] [Fine Amethyst Crafted] [+400 exp]
