Cody noticed that she was happy he was there and when she hugged and kissed his cheek, he blushed but gently patted her back, "No need to worry." He said softly as he wasnt sure what to say in response to her kissing his cheek. While they were holding one another, a guard had knocked on the door, "The kind wishes to speak with his daughter." He stated through the door.

HealingAssass1n Cody noticed that she was happy he was there and when she hugged and kissed his cheek, he blushed but gently patted her back, "No need to worry." He said softly as he wasnt sure what to say in response to her kissing his cheek. While they were holding one another, a guard had knocked on the door, "The kind wishes to speak with his daughter." He stated through the door. Strider got up and walked to the door to see who it was and then replied " I shall go then but I am not to sure what is going on though" . She felt a little breeze flow through the room as she walked to see her father.

The guard nodded to her when she said that but Cody had to stay back at his room. The guard lead her to her father's study where he looked at her, "So that man, a foreigner to our country is to be your suitor... would you condemn him to possible death just because you hate the prince, the better choice for a suitor, so much?" He asked her curiously.

The guard lead her to her father's study where he looked at her, "So that man, a foreigner to our country is to be your suitor... would you condemn him to possible death just because you hate the prince, the better choice for a suitor, so much?" He asked her curiously. " I love Cody father and I dont have anything in common with the prince . Cody actually talked to me and treated me with respect as the prince did not " Strider replied to her father as she stood there trying to look respectful but insistent to her father.

Her father huffed a bit, "But he isnt royalty and knows nothing of our country's rules. Just because you love him should not mean you put our country and people at risk. The prince knows how our army and justice system works, he could easily help keep our country and its people safe." He said firmly.

Strider was not happy at this point and replied " True but he doesnt love me though and never will " she had enough of this whole thing about the prince and wanted to leave the room but couldnt.

Her father was a bit annoyed with her, "Love wont protect this kingdom from our enemies! Your mother was taken from us and no matter how much i loved her, that love didnt protect her." He stated as he stood, but he looked at her, "I do not wish to forfiet my daughter to some random foriegner who knows nothing of our people or ways but it wont matter. Soon he will face the prince, and if he loses, you will wed the prince without question but if by some miricle he suceeds, then maybe he might show some worth." He said as he would allow her to leave the room.

Cody looked at her when she came back to his room, which he figured was her escape from her father and a comfort area, "Sounds like that went well... you okay?" He asked kindly to her as he was sitting on the edge of the bed.

HealingAssass1n Cody looked at her when she came back to his room, which he figured was her escape from her father and a comfort area, "Sounds like that went well... you okay?" He asked kindly to her as he was sitting on the edge of the bed. Strider was furious as she walked into the room and replied " My father is insistent on me marrying someone that does not love me at all and I just cant do that" . She sat down and cried on the bed as she sat next to Cody.

Cody heard her and thought it over as he sighed, "I get that and im happy in knowing that you trust me and have faith that we are in love enough to get married but you are a princess... im just a foreigner... so even as a father he must be concerned over me." He said as he understood the kings concern.

He said as he understood the kings concern. Strider was slightly upset about the whole thing and almost wanted to give up on getting married . She then replied " whats the use ? father is just going to place me with whomever he feels is best even if I dont love the guy . I want to be with you and see the world beyond this castle"

How about this, if I survive the prince, which would be a miricle, then we can go explore the world." He said as that if he survived and gains her hand in marriage, then he would help her travel around before she has to take her role as ruler.

Cody heard what she said as she spoke but thought it over, "I dont mean to be that guy but you are a princess... i mean that in, you arent wanting to turn your back on your people are you?" He asked curiously to her, thinking about how she seemed to just want to get away.
