"Creature?" Risas question was more out of confusion. She was human. True be an altered human, but that certainly wasn't by choice. And his name calling only served to feed the fire of her anger that had started. "Big words coming from the person hiding behind a mask." As she said them, she felt the bite of irony in her own words. She wasn't even using her real name, much less her real face.

Annette looked over at Dethblade and nodded, pulling a pair of gloves from her pocket and putting them on before walking over to Risa and taking the sample from her. "Idiot girl, do you have any idea the devastation you would of caused if this vial had broken?" She hissed, under her breath before going back to the camera, holding the sample up. "What you see here is a sample of a deadly and thus far incurable disease. Nimm is the carrier of this virus and has been housed here at Grace of Nocturnal in order to be treated and to keep the virus contained until preventative measures could be taken to keep the virus from spreading uncontrolled." She explained professionally. "I have personally been working on a cure for this virus for some time now, but recently i feel it only fair to focus more on giving Nimm an opportunity to safely live her adult life with out fear of death or prejudice."

Risa grit her teeth, her fists balling at her sides. She hated being made a fool of, and either the person who employed her for this did exactly that, or Dethblade was if what the doctor was saying was a lie. She shook her head, hearing Migoto tell her to leave without him. 'No.' She stated simply, but it had force behind it. "I was hired to steal that sample, by an unnamed party." Risa announced. "I had no idea that this hospital had been taken over until I was already in the middle of my job, but i had evidence that Grace of Nocturnal had planned on using that virus to infect others, in order to sell the cure for a profit!" She frowned. "You call me a 'Creature' Dethblade, and I'm a bit sensitive to such a term. Im a product of what companies like Grace of Nocturnal think they can get away with when they have money and influence. I heard of the girl kept prisoner here so she could be used as a living petri dish. I came to put an end to it!"

Nimm looked at Dokusei as he asked her opinion on possible assassination attempts. She shrugged. "I assume he is use to them. Even I read the newspapers. He is the most wanted person across several systems, with a significantly large bounty on his head." She turned her attention to the Thief now, as she had raised her voice over Annette to explain herself and her actions. She raised a brow as the woman spoke of knowing why Nimm was there and that others did too. She looked to Annette, who seemed uncharacteristically surprised by the statement. "Wouldnt that mean that someone here in the hospital would of had to tell someone outside about me?" She asked.

The elevator dinged then and the doors opened to reveal a crouched figure with a handgun an eye device that seemed to target Dethblade within seconds. It was less than a minute before the shot rang out from her gun aimed at the cloaked figures head.
PostPosted: Sat Jul 28, 2018 10:28 am

The bullet would hit the target dead-on, entering DEthblade's head and essentially killing him. His head, or what was left, would slam forward into the table lifelessly.

While others no doubt fretted, Setsumei Dokusei simply stood up and pulled out a syringe of silver, shimmering "liquid." He'd approach the new corpse, draw into the syringe some blood, then shake the item vigorously for a moment before injecting it back into the corpse. He'd then pat the corpse on the back. "Get up ya big baby, it's just a headshot."

Nothing would happen for a moment...well, other than Dokusei making sure the camera was still rolling as well as surrounding the hospital in a barrier, ensuring none would enter or leave, especially as he sealed all of the exits, windows included. Once he was done, he'd look to Dethblade's corpse and laugh, the shimmering silver liquid filling the entirety of the wound.

Dethblade would sit up and look around. He'd feel the back of his head, literally feeling as microscopic nanomachines filled the bloody void and began repairing and even recreating the missing tissue. "Order security to apprehend and bring to me this assassin, Dokusei. Oh, and thank you. I've grown tired of being shot."

"No problem, Overlord! Hell, I'll even offer a reward to the one that brings them to us alive!" Dokusei spoke into the camera before typing up the orders.

Dethblade then turned his attention to Risa, curious as to what she thought of his demonstration. "I have liberated Nimm. I will take her from city to city, planet to planet, galaxy to galaxy showing her the vast wonders of the universe. I've liberated a city from a corrupt organization hellbent on weaponizing diseases and profiting off of cures. And yet you steal that very volatile essence from me...to what end, I wonder? You see a mask on a man and claim he is hiding, and yet you skulk about in the shadows. My mask is more memorable than my face will ever be, creature. If I am to be identified, let this be my symbol."

Dethblade would then look to Migoto on the floor. "You brought him with you in your misguided efforts to play hero, didn't you? Look what has become of your friend do to your actions...and yet I let him live, and you still show animosity. Have I not proven myself merciful? Or true? Or just? I am not your enemy, girl. I am only the enemy of those that seek to stand in the way of my ambition."

"I happen to have a collar that will nullify that broken pile of people piece's psychic powers. Just for the record." Dokusei aired.

"Retrieve it." Dethblade ordered.

Adelaide stood, holstering her gun and walking into the room fully, the elevator closing behind her. "Yeeaah, i thought that would be harder...damn, got a full clip left of those babies." She put a hand to the device on her ear that controlled the screen over her eye, and turned it off. She didnt know what Dokusei was doing, but she didnt expect his efforts to pay off. Which is why she jumped damn near a mile when Dethblade sat up. "Holy Hells! What did you do?!" She'd drawn her gun and aimed it at Dokusei, looking between him and the freshly resurrected Dethblade.

Annette had ducked, covering her ears from the sound. She looked up and moved to the table, shocked at the scene but moving into medical mode as she watched Dokusei inject the serum into Kain. "What is that?" She asked, unsure what the man was doing. She flinched away as Dethblade sat up, but quickly moved to watch the wound close up. She looked back at Dokusei. "Nanotech?" She asked

Nimm yelped, covering her mouth and watching Kain hit the table. She stayed silent and watched the skeptical and breathed a sigh of relief as The man sat back up.

Risa moved, dropping low near Migoto once she heard the shot. The whole motion a reflex and instinct. She hadn't even thought about it till she saw Dokusei move. 'Migoto, that forcefield you mentioned before...it triggers by facing your biggest fear?' She asked him via the direct line. She kept her eyes on the not so dead body of Dethblade. She had a feeling in her gut that he wasn't going to go down that easy, a feeling she couldn't shake that this was not going to go well. It was a familiar feeling, and she hated it, mostly because there was another feeling piggybacking it that she was once again failing to protect somebody who was in a life or death situation because of her. "Should of stuck to the rules..." she mumbled, closing her eyes and rubbing her temples with one hand. "If your truly merciful, fix the hole you put through him. He'll die otherwise. And as i said before, he isn't involved in the theft, thats on me. I'll accept whatever punishment you deem fitting. Just, please...fix him and let him go. Preferably without a damn collar."

Dethblade would turn to face his assailant, yet summon no swords. He'd perform no tricks, though he would twitch once he realized the hood of his mask had been heavily damaged. "You killed Dethblade. Well done. The bounty is yours; we've video proof of the act, after all. But listen, and listen well: I do not have the luxury of death. Far too much needs to be done first." Surprisingly enough, he'd then turn his back on her. "I would appreciate your name. I'm sure the whole world wants to know just who you are."

Dokusei looked to Annette and nodded. "A special blend! A prototype actually, so things should only get increasingly more interesting from here!" He then looked to Addelaide. "Hey, in case you haven't caught on, he wants something from you. That's why you're still alive! Just don't shoot the rest of us, alright? We're just doctors and a patient...except those two." Pointing to Risa and Migoto. "They're thieves. You can shoot them!"

Migoto looked to Risa and groaned. "That particular barrier is defensive, not restorative. Nothing can pass through its domain without your permission, and your strength will increase exponentially, but the mental strain is tremendous. It requires living in a state of absolute terror." He explained. "I could activate it in you...you could flee...but I would have to be around to calm you back down afterward, or you'd simply go berserk."

"Ladies and gentlemen, I am faced with quite the dilemma." Dethblade spoke, examining his own hand, watching how his digits now curved. "This woman claims the man is innocent, and yet he stood in direct opposition of me. And now, do to that mistake, he suffers all the more. She claims to be merciful would be to save him and let him keep living in sin...would it not be merciful to rid him of his suffering entirely, now and forever? Is it not the selfish desire of the insolent girl that calls for him to be kept alive?"

"Hey Mr. Overlord, sorry to interrupt, but she is a thief, right? I mean, hear me out...she said she's take responsibility if we spare him." Dokusei pointed out.

"And your point is what, doctor?" Dethblade questioned.

"Take her hands. Then she can't steal from us anymore! Then we save the psychic, and nobody does! A storybook ending!" Dokusei suggested.

Dethblade stood silent for a moment, then looked to all the others. "What say you all? Take her hands, or take his life?"

'Bring on the crazy...' Risa thought, smiling nervously. Too many scenarios ended in either both of them or one of them dying or potentially in the hands of the all too eager looking doctor and the man that seemed to think death was better then fighting to stay alive.

Adelaide stood, still holding her gun up, but eyeing the two doctors and Dethblade curiously. She glanced over at the 'thieves' quickly, then back to her targets. "Curtis. Adelaide Curtis. Bounty Hunter, not assassin." She corrected. "And if that camera footage is live, then no, I wont be collecting anything til I turn your cold dead corpse over to the authorities. They don't pay Bounties as high as yours with out proof." She explained. None the less she lowered her weapon and reholstered it. She knew well enough she was out matched if the man could take a bullet to the head and still get up. "Im not shootin them two. No bounties on their heads. None that i know of anyway."

Risa tensed. She did in fact have bounties on her, just not on the her currently in the room. 'Do it!' She thought quickly, tightening her jaw and turning to look down at Migoto. 'Sorry in advance, this is gunna hurt like hell more than likely.' She waited, and for a moment thought he had passed out, but then the world shifted. She wasn't looking down at Migoto anymore. And she was no longer in the lobby of the research department.

The sterile smell of the hospital intensified, and mixed with the overwhelming smell of salt and copper. Thick enough she could taste it. Her stomach dropped, and she fought back the urge to throw up, closing her eyes and taking a deep breath as she tried to remember what she was doing and why. Migoto had been replaced with the cold and lifeless body of a black haired girl. Her ice blue eyes staring blankly, empty, up at her. The hole in her head still smoking from the bullet that had gone through it, and the still growing puddle of blood and chunks. "Not real...not currently real...I'm out...I lived...I made it out then, and I'll make it out now!" She reached down, grabbing the corpse, of rather Migoto by the shoulder and hauled him up and bear hugged him before running for the large window and throwing her shoulder into it with all her weight. She didn't count how many steps it took, or feel how hard she hit the glass. But it gave. And a moment later she was holding onto Migoto, staring up at the false night sky as it very quickly got further and further away from them. Her heart was racing, still slamming in her chest both from whatever Migoto had done and the threat of a sudden stop. "Im sorry...im so sorry..." she whispered, still seeing the girl in her arms. She closed her eyes, bracing for the impact.

Adelaide let out a whistle, staring at the open window and walking over to watch and see what happened next. "Im guessing she didn't like her options."

Nimm stared. "Those windows...I've thrown stools at them and they've done nothing more then make a noise. How did she break through it like that?" She asked, looking to the two doctors and Dethblade.

Annette folded her arms, frowning slightly. "What a shame, i wanted to examine that cloaking mechanism she has." She looked back to Dethblade, examining the newly closed wound. "Are these nanites retroactive? I stitched up a bullet wound earlier on his abdomen." She explained, in full clinical mode. This was like Christmas and her birthday all in one.
PostPosted: Tue Jul 31, 2018 11:05 am

Dethblade watched with great intrigue as the girl thrust herself through the window and out the building. He'd use his power to rip the sword from Migoto as they fell, summoning it back into his hand. He'd examine it for a moment, almost as if hypnotized by the fresh blood on the shimmering blade, then dismiss it into nothingness once more. He'd then turn his attention to Annette as she questioned him about previous injuries. "I will need a full exam when we're finished here, suffice to say I've never felt more...capable."

"What do you take me for, a hack?" Dokusei questioned, as if insulted. "Of course they're retroactive! But I should probably mention they're only temporary; the prototypes I injected you with aren't meant to sustain you indefinitely. But we can certainly work on that!"

Dethblade nodded to Dokusei, then looked to Adelaide. "Adelaide, I have a proposition for you." Gesturing to the camera, he'd move aside and use the other arm for to gesture for her to join him in front of it. "This world is corrupt, Adelaide. These people, as has been proven time and time again, are sick. All I am, all I offer, is mercy. Only those that stand in the way of everlasting peace need fear me...but those select few do need to be dealt with. I've taken over this hospital, Adelaide. And I am taking over its funding. You call yourself a bounty hunter, and so I offer unto you this: a city of bounties. For each individual you bring me beyond the reach of my mercy; for each corpse laid out as a monument to eternal peace, I will pay you a bounty. What say you?"

Dokusei blinked at the proposal, then snapped his fingers rudely at Annette to grab her attention. "I just got word from the lab that your requests have been completed, or at least prototypes. Oh and miss bounty hunter! Please do keep in mind that I, the great Doctor Dokusei, will be able to outfit you with all sorts of neat toys to dispense justice with! Just sayin."

Once the sword was ripped from Migoto, his eyes would go wide and for a moment roll into the back of his head. He'd give control back over to "Migoto" again who would use his remaining power to send a psionic burst at the ground meant to slow their fall. He'd keep hold of Risa as best he could and try hovering, not quite able to get his power going, but it would be enough for them to crash into the ground without fatality. Risa would no doubt come away just fine, much like falling over abruptly on to a thin mat for a healthy person. Migoto had slowed them enough to keep from breaking anything, but he'd let out a gurgled cry of agony upon impact, at which point he'd pass out entirely.

Adelaide, who had been standing looking over the edge of the broken window to watch the two who jumped, looked over her shoulder back at Dethblade as he addressed her. She stepped back away from the window and over to him, arms crossed loosely. "I dont know about all that. Im not Judge or Jury, just cavalry, and occasionally Executioner. It just so happened your bounty stated that you should be terminated." She pointed out. She looked skeptical, though it was more at the whole situation. She was beginning to wonder who had put the bounty out on Dethblade in the first place. "You want to hire me to track down and bring someone to justice, fine. But i won't be making that call myself unless they've done something blatant and witnessed." She turned her attention to the doctor next and smirked. "Thanks for the offer, but i have a supplier already, got a mind for ammunitions and tech, and I'm loyal to her. She's been my supplier for years now."

Annette looked up and at Dokusei, frowning as he snapped his fingers at her. "Thank you. I'll pick them up as soon as we are finished here." She assured him.

Nimm sat, leaning back in the chair with her eyes closed. She was tired, the day had more going on then she'd anticipated, not that she'd planned on all this. She had so many questions she wanted to ask before she fell asleep though. She forced her eyes open and looked over at Kain, Annette and Setsumie. It was odd to see all three interacting so normally. Like they'd known each other forever or something.

Risa grunted as they hit the pavement. Granted it wasnt as hard as she had anticipated, but it was still a shock in the sense that she wasnt a mess of broken bones and Migoto was still capable of keeping them from going splat. She laid on her back a moment, still staring up at the broken window, still clutching Migoto, still taking quick shallow breaths. She closed her eyes and forced herself to slow her breathing down. Taking longer, deeper breaths and opening her eyes again to get her bearings. She felt cool stone to her back, but there weren't any street lights that she could see, telling her they weren't near the front of the hospital. She was happy for the darkness at least. She sat up stiffly, being careful not to jostled Migoto too much. Her shoulder thudded with the pain from hitting the window hard enough to break it. She grimaced, looking at the damaged and broken scales, a few haven fallen off onto the ground, leaving thin ribbons of blood where new ones would grow in to replace them in a day or so.

She moved, getting Migotos arm around the back of her neck and shoving herself up and supporting his weight on her good shoulder. She moved, heading for direction of the tea house they'd been staying at.

Dethblade thought for a moment about the terms he'd been presented with by Adelaide, then give a nod. He'd then look to poor Nimm, who had to be up far passed whatever bedtime her fragile body set for her, then to Annette. "Doctor Lafluer, please see Nimm back to her room. She's had enough exhilaration for one day."

Dokusei looked to Nimm with an arched brow, studying her for a moment. "...nah, they'd probably just devour her and then we'd have a metal plague. That'd be weird." He'd just sort of blurt out before looking to Adelaide. "This supplier of yours...who is she? I would love to see what kind of gadgetry she's come up with and mastered! Perhaps, and this is doubtful, but just maybe I could see something new!" He'd never admit the bullet Dethblade had been toying with in his hand was one of those items.

Dethblade would move to the hole in the window and peer down while holding his hand out to Adelaide to return her bullet. "I think it's time I begun Project: Babylon..."

Dokusei would aim the camera for his own face and grin. "Well there you go, ladies and gents! We got a new overlord, new rules and new plans! Stay tuned people, 'cause if you all keep doin' what you're doin', s**t's really gonna hit the fan! Peace!" And with that Dokusei would shut off the camera and begin typing away again. "Project whatnow?"

Dethblade wouldn't answer. He'd instead led the cold air wash over him as he stoically peered out over the city.

Adelaide smirked and gave a nod at Dokusei. "Her names Sparrow. I can give you her phone number, but any other info you want will have to come from her." She explained. She walked over to the table, finding a spare paper and pen and jotted down a long distance number, and a messaging address. "Generally she just mails me my supplies to what ever Port I'm headed to." She explained, handing Dokusei the paper. "She likes to chat about ideas. So shes receptive to questions."

Annette looked over at Nimm and motioned for her to follow her.

Nimm looked up, indeed looking tired, but shook her head. "I have a list of questions I want to ask. The one in particular being for you Dethblade." She mentioned, moving to sit up straight and looking over at the man. "How did you find out about my disease and that I was here?" She asked. The woman who had jumped out the window had mentioned knowing too, claiming to have evidence even of what Grace of Nocturnal had planned to do with her disease. As far as Nimm herself knew, her records were locked up here in the hospital, she didn't have family outside that could tell people, and there was no reason for the hospital to broadcast that a plague causing patient was permanently housed in the building.

It wasn't a long way to the tea house, but it felt longer as Risa got Migoto back and into the room. The streets had been clear, most people probably inside watching the news and broadcast. She said a silent thanks that the front desk lady hadn't been present when she got inside.

She slid the door open to the room, shuffled in with Migoto and slid the door shut and locked it before moving to lie Migoto down on his futon. She reached for her bag, dumping the contents out til she found the first aid kit and cracked it open. She unbuttoned his shirt and worked to clean the wound as best she could, poured a generous amount of biosolvent in, and moved to stitch him up. It was basic first aid. Field dressing even, but it was all she could do for the moment.

Dethblade turned to face Nimm, standing still for a moment before lazily lifting one hand to point at her. "As I said, there are an abundance of powerful individuals in the world like us. Some of them possess a power so great they shape the universe. They see the forest for the trees and the sky for the clouds; they think and the world acts. I know one such person, Nimm, and he knows you. Now, that being said, do you really want to know more? If you go seeking the Boogeyman, he will inevitably find you. And when he does, I can make no promises." He answered cryptically.

Dokusei grinned. "Sparrow, you say? Not the kind of name I'd expect for a gadget master!" He'd look down at the information and quickly program it into his computer, causing something in his coat to DING in the process. "I wonder if she'd fancy a bite to eat with a fancy-pants doctor?" He joked. Sort of. When Dethblade mentioned a Boogeyman however, he instantly frowned. "There's no way you're talking about him, are you? The Scarlet Alchemist?"

Dethblade shot his attention over to Dokusei. "Does he still use that title?"

Dokusei blinked. "Who the hell are you Mr. Overlord?"

Nimm tilted her head, curiosity plainly written on her face. It peaked once Dokusei mentioned the Scarlet Alchemist. "Who is the Scarlet Alchemist?" She asked, not having heard the name before.

Annette had heard it though. She smirked and rested her hands in her coat pockets. "Boogeyman indeed. The Scarlet Alchemist is the monicker given to a certain individual. Tales of a twisted, psychotic, doctor of sorts, though not like Setsumie or myself. Generally the stories that surround him involve a lot of blood and torture."

Nimm blinked and looked back at Dethblade. "Is he the one that sent you here?" She asked. She wasnt sure if she was suppose to be afraid of this so called Boogeyman, but it was hard to be afraid of something shed never heard of before.

Adelaide shifted and moved back over toward the window. Taking a cigarette ouf of a metal case and lighting it, taking a drag and blowing the smoke out the open window. "What would the Scarlet Alchemist want with powered up individuals? I thought he was in the business of experimenting, not collecting?"

Risa sat back on her heels, cleaning up the first aid kit. She'd stitched up the wounds, and laid a cold cloth acrossed Migotos neck. She couldn't do much else. With a long sigh she moved to get to her feet, heading for the bathroom and turning the shower on. She left the door open a crack wanting to hear if someone entered the room or knocked.
PostPosted: Wed Aug 01, 2018 8:35 pm

"The Scarlet Alchemist and I have an arrangement. We help one another and keep out of the other's way, and in return we don't launch a galactic conflict against one another. For example, he gives me a ship, and I provide him with a test subject. He tells me about Nimm, and I...well. Even if I disclosed my end of that bargain, it would only lead to confusion. A story for another time, perhaps." Dethblade answered. e'd then place his hand on his stomach and tilt his head, curious as to why he suddenly felt so ill. Not a split second later he'd be ripping the mask from his head and vomiting a mix of red and silver, the pain of which bringing him to his knees as he clutched his stomach.

Dokusei sighed. "As I mentioned: prototypes. They had to come back out somehow! I mean, could you imagine if I designed them to come out through the pours? It'll be over soon Overlord."

Dethblade rose to know knee, then stood, mask held in hand. He looked absolutely drained, not to mention how naked he felt without his mask. "Dr. Dokusei...design a permanent solution...or it will be you I turn over to the Scarlet Alchemist next."

Dokusei grimaced and nodded. "A 'please' would have sufficed, but scary threats work too!"

Migoto awakened a little bit later as Risa turned the shower on, his body feeling even worse than he knew his condition to be. "Damn it..." He thought to himself. "I couldn't have done a worse job if I tried. But that sword...what the hell was that? A barrier breaking blade? It even resonated with my absolute terror field...who is that b*****d?" He thought aloud, unable to distinguish thinking from telepathy for the moment. t worried him that he didn't hear "Migoto's" voice at all, causing him to wonder what the man's first defeat was doing to him.

He reached up and felt his throat, coughing a bit which hurt more than he could describe. He'd managed to reset his own jaw, causing him to scream bloody murder, which meant more pain. Eventually he'd start going into a panic attack from an overload of pain and worry.

Adelaide took a side step as Dethblade started wretching, though she made sure wasn't about to fall out of the window. "Think its time I headed out. Its getting late, and I need a drink." She explained. She took another drag and exhaled the smoke from her nose this time. "If you get a contract for me, contact Sparrow. She handles that stuff for me. Ill be staying in the city for a day or two though." She waved one hand as she walked back toward the elevator.

Annette raised a brow as the woman left, a bit surprised she was being as cavalier as she was about the whole thing. "Ms.Rozenthall, lets get you back to your room for now. Questions can wait til tomorrow. Dethblade, I'll be in my office the rest of the night if you require that examination still." She reminded him.

Nimm frowned, but nodded, getting to her feet and walking toward the elevator as well. "Goodnight." She called , looking over her shoulder at the two left in the room. She stopped by Adelaide at the elevator, looking at the woman who seemed to be focused on a specific spot on the doors.

"You two take the first lift, you look worse for wear." Adelaide pointed out, finally breaking her gaze to look between Annette and Nimm.

The doors dinged ans opened, Annette and Nimm both boarding and leaving Adelaide with Dethblade and Setsumie for now. Nimm was surprised to find her room only a few floors down from the research departments. She walked in with Annette, and said their good night's before Annette left back to her office, leaving Nimm alone for the first time since the events started earlier that day. She removed her mask, taking a deep breath before setting it on her bedside table. She quickly changed into a nightgown and crawled into bed, a bit curious if shed wake up to find the whole day just a fever dream.

Risa started a bit, hearing the scream of pain. She quickly grabbed a towel and wrapped it around herself before opening the bathroom door to the main room and looking toward Migoto. "What happened?! Migoto? Hang on." She stepped out, hair dripping water as she crossed the room and dug in her bag, pulling a bottle of over the counter pain killers out. "Damn...this is all i have." She handed him the bottle.

Dethblade eventually regained his composure, though he was none too thrilled about the massive metallic taste in his mouth. Looking out the broken window again, he'd smile and let the cool night air wash over him. This would mark the first time Dokusei would see him smile at least.

"That Migoto guy...what do you think the odds are he's one of Singe's homunculi?" The doctor asked abruptly, still typing away at his computer.

"Significant, and if you're asking me that question, that means you're no more privy to why he's on the loose than I am. I'll speak to Singe myself about the matter later on."

"Does Singe know what you're doing here, Mr. Overlord?" Dokusei asked while finally shutting down the computer and putting it back into his bag. He'd stand and move towards the window, keeping some distance from it.

"He does. Project: Babylon was, in fact, his idea. A project I will make you privy to shortly, have no worries." Dethblade would look to Dokusei without an inch of emotion, then turn his back on him and begin out the door. "I need to see Dr. Lafluer. You've a proposal to write I'm sure."

Dokusei snickered and shrugged. "He's got my number." He'd mutter to himself before looking at the piece of paper with Sparrow's information. "And I have yours. This is going to be fun, this is going to be fun!" He'd then begin to head back to his own office.

Dethblade would end up knocking on the office door to Annette's space before entering, mask still in hand as not to dirty it as he still sputtered and coughed now and again. "To answer your question, I do believe these are retroactive. My mesh doesn't feel like it fits right anymore, and my bullet wound no longer throbs. It's disturbing to think I'd be dead right now if not for your colleague's intervention. But this is why I know I require allies."

Migoto stared for a moment. Granted she wasn't nekkid, this was the most he'd ever seen of a woman. He'd snatch the bottle from her hand and pour a couple pills into his mouth and force them down with one hell of a groan, his nails damn near digging into the floor. "I'm so sorry Risa, I'm so sorry, he wasn't supposed to get the edge on "him" or I wouldn't have let "him" out, I'm so sorry!" He'd think to himself over and over...out loud. He'd also reach up and snap his fingers, shattering the ATF around Risa and whatever illusions lingered before any problems could persist. "I...got in your way...and because of me..."

Anette looked up as Dethblade entered her office. She had been jotting notes down in a file, and now set her pen down and closed it before putting it up in a rack. "Yes, Dokusei is nothing if not well equipped for the uncanny." She smirked and gestured toward a chair next to her desk. "I can remove the mesh if its uncomfortable. Might i also suggest a full body scan so that i may identify what is an old injury, and what is new next you need medical assistance." She turned her whole chair so she was facing him, hands on her lap. "Or would you rather fill me in on this Scarlet Alchemist and the dealings you've had with him? I have to admit, I'm curious about him." She admitted, lips curving into the hint of a smile.

Risa blinked as the ATF was removed. True her vision had been swapping between what was actually going on, and the illusion, bit she hadn't realized how tense she was until it was gone. She let out a long breath, her chest no longer tight, and her shoulders relaxed. "Migoto calm down, please. You're still hurt." She pointed out, but she looked relieved all the same, even smiling a little. "You didnt get in the way, and lets be honest, if you hadnt been there, I'd probably be dead." She watched him a moment, reaching out to rest her hand on his shoulder. "Just breath for a second, nice and easy." She instructed, silver eyes on his. Her own shoulder was still a mess from hitting the window, new scales already replacing the old broken ones, and her skin darker underneath them. "Whos Him?" She adked, finally registering what he had said.
