__ Kenshin turned to Tsukina when she entered the room. "If it's not urgent, then please report to my shadow clone in the Spire." He responded flatly before turning to the dog barking at Tsukina. "Down." He commanded the canine with a stern tone. His shadow clone in the office was the one tasked with administrative duties such as registering genin, assigning missions, etc. Although it was also possible that Tsukina had an emergency matter that needed tending to. He returned his attention to the students who eventually finished meditating. "The third phase of our training today is individualized mentoring. I'll be creating clones to tutor individuals as well as pairs. The session will depend on what you choose to work on." Kenshin formed some hand signs and spawned three shadow clones. The captain and his clones then dispersed between the various genin.
The original Kenshin approached Kojiro and motioned for him to rise from his seated position. "I have two questions, what are your skills and what do you want to work on?" It was a general question that might give him some indication of where to start with him.
One shadow clone approached the merged twins and motioned for Todoroki to join them. "What are you good at? What do you need help with?" This was similar to what he asked Kojiro for the same outcome. One on one training at this point seemed optimal.
Another clone walked up to Yuno and motioned for her to join him near the practice weapons rack. He fetched her and himself practice metal foils without sharp points. Kenshin handed the rapier to her by the handle before speaking. "Take your weapon and show me your dueling stance." Kenshin would start with that and see how her form was fairing before proceeding.
The third and final shadow clone approached the androgynous genin with pale eyes. He looked down and motioned for the young Hyuuga to rise. "You must have the byakugan. Do you need help learning the gentle fist?" The gentle fist was Kenshin's specialty and he obtained absolute mastery over it. Of course, he was also skilled at uniquely pairing the gentle fist with his prized rapier, Purity, but he could use his hands with the jyuken masterfully all the same.

Yuno was quick to join Kenshin near the weapon's wrack with a face that was still soaked in irritation over Tsuki's interruption. However any feelings of animosity towards Kenshin were being dulled somewhat by his actually making time for her instead of running off. She was glad that somebody was at least giving her the attention she deserved for once. A black gloved hand reached out and took the weapon from Kenshin gingerly. Her grip was light, but not loose. Firm enough not to drop the thing but not tight enough to say make her knuckles white. From there she quickly pulled her self into a comfortable stand with her left leg back and her left arm tucked behind her back. Her body was turned sideways such that she presented a smaller profile to Kenshin. This was Yuno's rapier stance, basic but competent. As she stood there waiting for his critique part of her wondered why exactly she was using a practicing blade when she had the real thing already? "Is my form satisfying to you captain?" While her voice was youthful and lacked the smokey quality of her mother's, the word choice was unmistakable in where it came from.
Kojiro would stand as his instructor would create shadow clones of himself and spread out between the students. The boy would face him directly, speaking surely and without hesitation. " Sir, the katana is the weapon of choice! Swords and lightning Ninjutsu sir!" He would wait readily for Kenshin to begin teaching him.

__ The shadow clone watched as Yuno showed her best rapier stance. When she asked him if it was satisfactory he shook his head in denial. "It's flawed." He responded with a sharp critique before using his hands to adjust her posture. The Hyuuga duelist was an unyielding perfectionist in the art of fencing. He squared her shoulders more and adjusted her feet with the left ankle touching the back ankle in an L shape. "Now give a salute to your opponent before every spar. If it's a life or death battle or you're defending yourself you shouldn't do this, but it's demanded by long tradition to do so before a duel." He used his practice foil to demonstrate the salute. "Now put your right foot forward and rear your left foot back further, square your stance, and lower your knees. Like so." Kenshin then demonstrated how to position oneself before battle. "This is the en garde position. Now, show me some footwork. Step the right foot forward first and then the right foot second. Walk a little like a crab. With practice, your speed will improve naturally. When moving backward rear your left foot back first and then right foot." He gave her the instructions and demonstrated how to do so to her side so that she could see his footwork. These lessons were foundational before moving onto techniques.
The original Kenshin was impressed by Kojiro's respectful disposition. "A katana, how typical." While Kenshin was skilled with katanas, he much preferred to use a rapier. He walked to the other side of the dojo and grabbed two wooden practice katanas and a scroll before returning. "I will teach you the great style of Shigure Souen. Have you heard of it?" He handed Kojiro the scroll to read about the sword style. He then gave Kojiro his wooden practice katana. "Now show me your form and a few practice swings." Kenshin wanted to see if he had any knowledge of bukijutsu yet and how far he would need to go to improve.

Todoroki was not keen on backing down. He was a trained shinobi animal and his purpose was to fight. However, the dog did cave upon Kenshin's orders. Kenshin after all was a secret friend, and he knew that he had to obey secret friends in order to be a good boy. The dog stopped snarling and moved over to the twins and awaited for them to begin training with that Kenshin clone. He kept one ear on alert, however, in case the strange blond woman tried anything.
The Keles ______[Kaylay] & [Keelee] "Well we're both pretty good at taijutsu, but we're no specialists. We actually focus on sealing jutsu, but the things we wish to learn are not permitted until we've gone through the motions to increase our rank as shinobi. Hold..." When Todoroki got closer to [Keelee], they began to shiver with agitation. He really didn't care for dogs. With a quick pulse of chakra, their eyes fell shut and quickly opened, [Kaylay] now in control of the shared body. Their eyes lowered to see their canine ally and it lit up their entire life. [Kaylay] squatted and started giving Todoroki all the loves. The head scratches, back rub, chin rubs, behind the ear, that one spot on the butt at the base of the tail. Everything. [Kaylay] was all about this dog, but even during the love session with this dog, they would continue to talk up to Kenshin. "As [Keelee] was saying, we're good at taijutsu and sealing. We're fairly well-trained and feel the need to either take up learning something totally different than what we know or participate in more missions to earn credit towards advancement."

She visibly frowned at his comment. Flawed? Was he serious? She fumed internally until she felt his hands adjusting her posture. A small blush spread across her cheeks. "A gentleman should ask a lady before touching her you know...." she grumbled quietly. A child's platitude based on stories she had read rather than real experience or beliefs. Eventually she was forced into the proper position in his eyes. Yuno's lithe frame held it well. As for saluting, well she found it quite irritating to have to salute him, but she did respect tradition. A salute was given, it was slow and deliberate as a means of ensuring its accuracy to the provided example.
As Kenshin provided the example of his prebattle stance, Yuno copied him close as she was able to. Right foot forward, rear foot back. Her stance was squared, and her knees bent as she lowered herself. The en garde position was easy enough to replicate though it was just a basic stance so that was a given. Moving as he instructed was a bit more difficult. She wasn't nearly as graceful as normal at first; though soon enough her balance improved and she moved slightly quicker. Still it was clear that she was but a novice. Moving backwards presented the most difficulty, it wasn't particularly easy to begin with and then you had to add in the fact that she was wearing heals. Still she moved without tripping at least.
She had to admit. In all the years of her life, she had never met another person like Kenshin. He was simultaneously the most polite and equally rude individual she had ever met. Like him brushing her off, or his physical contact with the little girl with oddly colored hair. Well, maybe not rude, but more along the lines of blunt. Far too blunt for her tastes. However she could still respect him despite him being a polar opposite to herself. She prized freedom and family above all else. For him it was law and order. Restrictions upon said freedom.
Placing a palm on her breastplate she nodded and turned on heel simply. Though she hesitated for a moment upon hearing the young man with green hair's words. Katana ey? Maybe one day that kid would be worth teaching how to use the divine winds. Maybe not, it remained to be seen. Waving over her shoulder absently she removed herself without so much as even a passing glance to the dog. After all, lions did not concern themselves with the opinions of sheep. Or in this case dogs.
__ Kenshin was taken aback by Yuno's comment and felt a bewildered expression overpower his stoic expression momentarily. "Just focus." He responded dismissively as he watched her perform the salute and footwork effectively. When she finished, he walked over to a scroll shelf and grabbed the one for Sen Gekiretsu Negareboshi. He unraveled the scroll and was very familiar with the contents of his primary bukijutsu style. He placed the scroll on the floor out of Yuno's way, but still close to her side for her to glance down and read. "We'll start with the first stage of a fencing style called Sen Gekiretsu Negareboshi. Start by practicing thrust, then backwards thrust, fly swatter, and sideward parry. Read the instructions carefully and do some drills of the various techniques. Remember to focus on your footing." He gave the instructions and wanted to see how quickly she could pick up the basic stage.
Another Kenshin clone listened to what Keelee and Kaylay had to say about their abilities. He nodded and considered a few possibilities. They seemed to be already ahead of their peers in terms of training. "Then let's put your taijutsu skills to the test. Would you two be willing to have a friendly spar?" Kenshin asked and of course he would go easy on them. He was also a shadow clone with very little alotted chakra and stamina so there was a very low possibility for accidental damage.
The moment the shadow clone in the office poofed Kenshin felt a flood of memories come in. All at once, he knew all of the details of his interactions in the office as well as the contents of all reviewed paperwork. He also now knew that CORE needed the real him to travel to the CORE compound to deal with a Son of Helios. He weaved a few hand signs and formed two new shadow clones. One would stay with Kojiro and the other would go to the office for administrative management to replace the other one. The real Kenshin then exited the area in pursuit of the CORE Compound.

Kojiro would stand before Kenshin. The instructor would hand him a scroll first, followed by a bokken. He took the bokken and would place it on the ground beside him as he unraveled the scroll before him, kneeling to the ground to read it as Kenshin questioned him. "Shigure...Souen? I can't say I have." After several minutes of examination, he would bring the scroll to it's original state.
He would clench the wooden sword back from it's resting spot with his right hand as he steadily pulled it to meet his left hand as well. He stood now, holding the practice weapon. He would raise the sword over his head, his elbows tucked in so that they would face forward, leaving no opening before him as he would guide the weapon downward, ending it's path at his midsection, the tip of the blade fixated roughly at Kenshin's adam's apple if he were a foot closer. His emerald eyes seemed sharp, focused while the blade was being manipulated in his hands.

Yuno had never heard of the style but then she had heard very little about any sword styles. Her academy studies had only covered the basics of sword play and taught to general weapon concepts. Perhaps this was good? She was ostensibly training with someone who had used his weapon in battle so hopefully the man knew what he was doing. Her eyes watched carefully as the scroll was unfurled. To start she knelt down into the seiza position to read the scroll. Her mind needed to be taught before the body. After she felt confident in knowing the how she returned to a standing position and readied herself for the execution of the techniques.
The most basic of the techniques was first. A simple forward thrust counter balanced by the forward step of the dominant foot. Yuno was slow at first, unsure in her footing. Though as the move was practiced she gained a feeling of competence and thus her movements became more sure. It was then that she began to truly perform the move in a single fluid motion. [1] However this competence was quickly reset as she struggled with the backwards thrust. The movement backwards was at this current point in her training, her weakness. Still, she persisted. Slowly the movements became cleaner and in time she was competently taking a step to the rear and two handing a thrust to her backside. It wasn't perfect by any means but she was clearly grasping the basics. [2]
Transitioning from the backwards thrust she moved on to the Fly Swatter maneuver. She found it a tad confusing as the description in the scroll was lacking in great detail so she spoke up for some aid. "Could you... please," she struggled on the please as if it might make her sick to say it, "assist me by demonstrating Fly Swatter?" With or without Kenshin's help she would eventually come to better understand the technique. Still seeing it demonstrated by a master would no doubt perfect her execution of it. [3]
__ Kenshin watched Kojiro's practice swings and he appeared to have a baseline competence with a sword. He assumed that the lad had been in a spar or two which gave him some experience. However, his swings lacked style or form so Kenshin was certain that learning a style of sword combat would be beneficial for him. "You know how to do some basic swings, that's a start. Shigure Souen will teach you how to use your blade with grace and form. You'll also find that as you master each stage that you'll become physically stronger and tougher." Captain Kosei raised his bokken to demonstrate the axle of rain, the rolling rain, and the misting rain techniques in front of Kojiro. It was unlikely that the boy had ever seen a blade master practice a mastered style. Kenshin's movements were incredibly fast and precise in each maneuver. "I should only have to show you those three techniques once for you to know it. That demonstrates that you're worthy of learning Shigure Souen's great tradition. Now give that first stage a try." Kenshin ordered Kojiro to start learning the first stage and demonstrate his aptitude for it.
Kenshin nodded approvingly to Yuno's learning of the first stage of Sen Gekiretsu Negareboshi. He also appreciated that she was fully immersed in learning the style rather than complaining or agitating him in some immature way. Learning the first couple of techniques went well for her and she was able to correct her footing and form on her own. She then politely asked for his help with the fly swatter technique. In response to her question, he assumed the en garde stance and flicked the practice foil in the air in an arc motion far quicker and more masterfully than Yuno had likely ever seen before. He then showed her the move again, but this time he did so much more slowly. "It's like this. Try to do it on your own now and as fast as you can. Just don't forget to get the arc motion right." With those instructions and the demonstration out of the way he wanted to see her give it another try.

The Keles ______[Kaylay] & [Keelee] [Kaylay] grinned. A spar? That was definitely their speed. "I'm literally always up for a spar. I'm ready whenever you are." [Kaylay] made a quick dash backwards and the reached into their back pockets and slid both of their brass knuckles on. They lifted their arms into a very boxer-like defensive stance. Raw strength with punches was their specialty in taijutsu and used a weapons style focused around things such as these brass knuckles. There wasn't much else they were really skilled at besides some generic ninjutsu. Hopefully, they wouldn't have to rely heavily on their chakra stores in the upcoming bout. As they waited for the captain to let [Kaylay] know the fight has begun, they prepared for a shunshin should it be necessary.

More knifeplay, more tossing, more changing hands and directions. While she practiced, Nuru hummed. It was a song her mother used to sing to her; she didn't remember the lyrics but the melody still remained. The young female only remembered her mother in photographs now; a tall willowy woman with long fire-orange hair, not too long, but it did stop short of her lower back. Her brothers had told her that her dad said the thing that made him love her mom was her curls and freckles-- the romantic stories almost made her wish she looked more like her mother...

That was enough of that, at least for now. Taking stance by the dummy again, Nuru got back in to a comfortable stance. She stood for a moment, imagining the scene in her mind. A ninja rushed at her! They clashed for a moment in heated hand-to-hand combat. He pulled out a kunai, so she pulled out her tanto. A quick series of hits of metal-on-metal lead them to a stalemate; kunai against Tanto, neither winning. Nuru ducked down, if the fight was real the person that was clashing against her would be going foward, stumbling slightly. She tossed her knife upwards, pretending to slide between her imaginary opponent's legs... which in really was her just rolling beside the dummy.. then caught her blade and stabbed her "opponent" in the back! Success!

With full attention paid Yuno watched as Kenshin demonstrated the technique twice. His form was impressive, as was the speed with which he performed the technique. It disgusted her to admit it but Kenshin was a pretty good teacher. The text combined with his example was enough to teach Yuno the proper movements of the technique. With a quick flick she mimicked the arc of the swing. Were a real blade coming her way she wasn't sure if it would work to be honest. Still she was able to perform the technique now even if she lacked confidence in the efficacy of it. [1] After learning to perform the Fly Swatter technique Yuno quickly moved on to demonstrate her newly acquired knowledge of the thrust technique. With a quick forward step was accompanied by a forward thrust of the practice foil. As she performed the technique a marginal increase in her speed would be noticeable. No doubt the results of greater confidence and practice. [2] Shen revisited her weakest of the techniques. The backwards thrust was still difficult, but her footwork was improving. Back step reverse stab, rinse and repeat. Soon enough she was quick stepping to the rear despite the limitations of her outfit. Performing these techniques also worked up quite the sweat as unbeknownst to Yuno she had accidentally charged her foil with suiton chakra. [3] Performance D-rank.
However Yuno wasn't quite done. While reading the techniques she had skipped ahead somewhat. The knowledge of the style contained within her head extended into what was known as the second stage of Sen Gekiretsu Nagreboshi. Suddenly she stepped forward with weight, the foil came out once into a piercing stab then twice. [1] Though she soon found herself struggling to balance after such an attack. She actually almost fell flat on her face. Not exactly off to a great start when trying to show off or get ahead of the curve. [2] She needed to make up for this fact by sticking the next technique perfectly. She rushed several steps forward with her crab walk before thrusting out with the foil. She then quickly pulled back, turned the foil so that it was "edge" side up, and then delivered a quick upward slash. If performed correctly upon a person it'd leave an i shaped cut. This time Yuno's movements were precise and she held the technique well. Her movements had also quickened ever so slightly yet again. However she found herself breathing heavier than before too. D - rank performance.
Suddenly Yuno noticed that her foil had an aura about it. It was then that she realized she'd accidentally charged her weapon simply through knowing about it through reading the text. It was surprising but wholly so. Ninjutsu, particularly her suiton, was where she had recieved her highest marks in the academy. So it followed that molding water nature chakra to her blade wouldn't be too hard. "How was that?"
