Ora would listen to him talking. He was a delivery man it seemed. However, his smirk was starting to get on her nerves. It kept reminding her of the past. She didn't want to think about that, she had put it behind her, even if her body didn't seem to want to. She felt her taunt skin pull a bit under the armor. It was having a hard time with it, and she understood that, however, they were in a battle situation. Grimm could come out of no where at this point. Even if she took off the armor, she couldn't show her skin to anyone. They would worry about her, and they would dig too deep.

Clothing had to cover up most of her body. This was going to be the hardest mission that she had ever been on. Before people would assume that she had been in a fire or something. That wasn't a complete lie, most of her life, the torture she endured, it was from whips and chains, to fire and ice. She hated the way her body looked, and hated the tattoo on her back. She was fine with her birthmark, but the tattoo labeled her as property, something that she wasn't.

She would speak up, "I know I'm decent in a fight on my own, but I can't stand to see people hurt. So I would rather take the hit for them. However, they have to accept the help first." She remembered the time during the war. She was knocking people down, but she had been injured herself. A final blow was coming towards her, when someone offered to take her place. She cried as it happened. Tears where actually coming down her face. She worked hard so that she could take the hit for people, like that man had done for her. She wouldn't say anything about it out loud, though.

Then he tried to get a further answer as to why she wasn't being escorted by a guard. He didn't understand her way of thinking at all. She wiped away some of the tears that where in her eyes. "I never said that I needed to be protected. Others need protecting." She would end that part of the conversation now. She didn't want to talk about the logic of her thoughts.

Garret would listen as she spoke again as his gaze would be kept on her momentarily. Hearing her modesty at her fighting power was a bit of a let down in his mind as he was hoping she would be more boastful. Though there were joys in defeating opponents all too quiet, the real joy came from those who were far too confident like himself. Having them be knocked down to their level and learning their place was a thrill that was not readily beat by much else in combat. Even victory against tough opponents would only just beat the former in terms of the thrills felt. However, the least interesting would be the extremely modest ones. Though they doubtlessly tried their hardest, it would not have the same satisfying feeling to beat them than those he felt deserved to know the were not invulnerable or unstoppable. There was too much of a self fulfilling prophecy when those types of opponents were beat that took away some of the joys of the fight. Not all of it, as some of them are overly modest and prove a decent challenge and that combat in itself has its own enjoyment to it. 'Though that can be changed with a few well timed words.' He thought to himself, knowing that certain words in specific contexts can invoke an anger that was amusing and interesting to fight at the least. Still, he preferred not to as then it would be so rare to face them again when they, or himself, believed them to be strong enough to sufficiently challenge him.

However, even as he thought of this in terms of her combat skill that was not all she had said. She went on to speak of preferring to take hits and only being able to if the person accepts. Again. 'It would seem she is programmed to repeat this phrase every time she speaks.' He thought to himself, slightly annoyed at how often she would say it. He had already signified their difference in opinion on the matter and that he acknowledged her powers ability as well as stipulation. However it seemed she felt it necessary to constantly bring that up over and over again, as if doing so would change the past or with the thought that it somehow had not been processed in his mind. The annoyance to him was primarily on the basis of it being repetitive rather than anything new or worth saying. Sure, at times repetition would be necessary but not to this length as it was having no positive effect on his view of her or what she believed. He was also beginning to wonder if he spoke long enough would that be the only thing she would speak in response to everything.

It was at that time that she would begin to cry. Having been annoyed by her previous actions and in thought, it stopped all thought processes in his brain momentarily. His mind was trying to comprehend and process what was now occurring. 'Why is she crying? I do not believe I said anything to offend her or provoke this response...Have I?' He thought to himself, feeling like this was partially his fault. This had not been his intent in the slightest for her. Though he had always intended to keep her at a distance despite this conversation they were having, he would never resort to making her cry to fulfill that goal. At least as not anything but a last resort. He briefly thought that perhaps it was that memory she kept having when she would rub her armor clad arms, but there was no way to be sure that that was not simply his mind trying to shirk responsibility for what had transpired. He took a step closer to her, but stopped himself from moving any closer afterward. He was unsure on what he could do to comfort or console her, as he barely knew her. Actions he may take to try and relieve her sorrow may invoke her wrath or further it. His usual arrogance that was plastered to his face faded briefly with a look of concern for but a moment as his mind was trying to figure out what to do. Realizing it had happened, he tried composing his thoughts and expression as best he could as he thought of an appropriate solution. 'Though I may not be able to adequately comfort her...perhaps I can be of a distraction.' He thought to himself, the only real option he had in his mind to try and remedy the situation.

Before he could speak, he noticed her wipe away a few but not all of the tears on her face before she would speak again. Saying simply that she does not need to be protected but others did. He paused, halting his prior line of thought with this new information. 'Perhaps this is what triggered that response in her.' He thought to himself, as it was the central point of his conversation with her and the last thing he had said. This did not change his plan of providing a suitable distraction for her, but rather added a more specific element to it. Even if it enraged her, he would prefer that to her crying. Her new input could strengthen his prior argument which had seemed to irritate her, so perhaps by speaking more on that line as well as a few other distraction would be sufficient to convert her sorrow to something else entirely. "So then you understand why I don't need to be protected if that is so. I took a hit and kept on fighting, surviving to the end to continue my journey. Others need protecting, as my ability is suitable to defend myself." He would say in his cocky voice matched with just a smile, not an arrogant one like usual. He had specifically used her own words against her, hoping that would bring out a bit of her ire as he made sure to keep an eye on her in case it proved a violent response. Still, he felt more would be necessary to adequately distract her but other than directly taunting her, which would likely do more harm than good, he felt perhaps a measure of conflicting emotions could also work. "I have no doubt you would be formidable in a fight, and I look forward to facing you one day in a duel. However, that will be for another time as we have our own missions we must attend to. It would also have no honor or glory to fight you currently. We are both fighters, that much is apparent, and no one survives in this world unscathed in some way. I shall not ask what wounds you carry, nor shall I speak of it to any other of this occurrence, but I shall ask of you to promise to face me in a duel in the future?" Garret would pause as he let that sink in, referring to the occurrence as her crying. She was mentally vulnerable currently, and he did not lie when he said there would be no honor or glory in facing her in this state despite how good a distraction combat could be. His words were not comforting he supposed, but he hoped they would be suitably distracting in regard to her being challenged to a duel in the future. Sometimes the resolve of a battle to come in the future could be enough, at least to him. He would also keep to his word of not probing further or mentioning her crying, as he would find such an act to dishonor her and he had no desire to do so. "You need not answer anything I have said, and if you so desire we can continue our trek in quiet, save for if you would promise me a duel in better times." He would simply finish, giving her the option of silence if that should help her regain her composure and recover. He would be fine with such if it were of help to her as he could also compose his own thoughts knowing beacon should not be too far away now and feeling he had asked all the questions he could for now without causing more damage.

"Oh my! What a bully aye Noir? Tsk, tsk." Spoken in the utmost bubbliest manner, as though a friend just discovered something cool or shiny. A scent would offend the nostrils of those who had a smell keen enough to pick up on it. The voice and smell coming from above. The smell of copper undertones and a doctors office, morbidity at its finest. Blood. Before either could look up at where the voice came from a huge resounding *thud* would sound. A coffin, a spurt of smoke coming from its side as a panel shut itself, a sign that something had propelled it to its new location as it wedged itself into the dirt interrupting any forward momentum they may have had going. Then from a tree a person landed atop it and sat down with gloved hands stained a fresh red growing darker with its exposure to the air. He didn't seem to care as he would then place the copper scented hand on his right cheek looking down at the duo. Suffice to say it was both gross and somewhat unsettling as the face that looked down upon them carried a smile benefiting of someone who reeked of fresh death.

"Makes a gal cry and then tries to fix things by offering to fight her later? I've never seen such a smooth choice of words. A real Casanova if I've ever heard one." Following his arrival a raven perched itself upon his shoulder producing a caw towards what could be assumed as its owner. The caw was taken in by said owner with a nod of clear affirmation. Here he'd been waiting Ora maybe recognizing the boy but maybe not, as likely the only time she would have seen him was at an orientation. Yes, he'd taken an interest in the two of them. Or rather an interest developed due to not wanting to engage in what the teams were doing. Looking for robots and dancing with snipers. Ah, but what would he know about any of that. After all he shouldn't have been off campus to begin with. Oh, but what did any of that matter, should he come under fire for expulsion it would just mean his interest in the school would have to satiated in other ways aside being a student. Merely fighting boredom is what he was doing and what would these two think of the latest situation.

Yes the blood wasn't just simply on this boys hands but from a very slight crack a drip escaped from the confines of the coffin. What was he hiding? Was he friend or foe. These thoughts circulated in his mind as they likely would have also in Ora and Garret and then came what the man was notorious for. His lies. With a pinky in one ear and flicking the wax to the side he'd say in a rather lackadaisical manner. "Kekeke, still, what a waste. Here little old me went out of his way to send you that Ursa as a present and it just went up in smoke. Just like that." His arms rose as he shook his head in a disappointed manner. He had the makings a villain scrawled all over him with a statement like that, but the real question was, why even make a statement like that in the first place. Especially if you were a villain, you'd be putting yourself in an insane amount of risk making such bold statements so close to a hunter academy. The truth was he had likely indeed attracted that Ursa what with negative energy flowing out of him like a fountain but it wasn't his intent to have gotten anyone else involved.

A sigh, as whatever questions they would ask up til now was falling on deaf ears, intentionally to cause a rile. "Well I suppose I best be on my way then. I don't mind being around cute girls but bullies are a different story. Kekeke." jumping off the coffin sooner rather than later if either decided to attack indiscriminately the back of the coffin would be kicked playfully. "Oopsie." With the sound of air releasing from a pressurized lock the coffins door opened. What was inside was human shaped and dressed in human clothing, but it fell forward and to the ground in a bloody mess before any discernible details could be made. With a finger on his chin he'd look down. "Oh, now what do you think that is? Or should I say who? Oh geeze I hope I'm not going to get in trouble."

Looking down at what could be easily assumed as a corpse the whole scene unfurled like some form of horror movie, a stark contrast to what could be considered...er a happy go lucky attitude the boy gave off? Still the boy showed no signs of direct hostility to either Garret or Ora. His whole introduction surreal if not ominous. If either got close to the corpse it would be revealed to be something likely neither were expecting. It was a stage dummy, a cruel prank would be revealed, and the mystery of a missing stage dummy revealed. The blood though, that, that was real. Was it human though? The answer would have to come from this white haired boy who seemed rather separated from reality, who already seemed ready to leave by the way he gripped the straps of his coffin looking towards the school grounds.

Ora would look up at Garret. He wanted to fight, and wanted to make her promise to fight him. Her eyes lit up, but then she took a moment to think. Normally, you would headbutt as a way to seal the promise, and say hello, and goodbye...There was a lot of headbutting. She would run towards a tree, kick off of it, and then attempt to headbutt Garret. He was much taller than her, and head butting him in the chest would be a bad thing. She didn't really explain why she was doing it either.

Then a teen like herself would show up, his hair was white, and he had a raven on his shoulder. She could hear the press of the coffin as it was going. He had called Lancer a bully, but didn't know the context of what had happened. She wasn't going to correct him, but he was absolutely wrong. Then he said that he had sent the Ursa to go after. Her eyes would narrow. Lancer had been hurt by the Ursa. She wasn't a fan of villains, then again, she was going to a place full of enemies, to collude with them to get to her goal of finding Narx and trying to start their family once again. Then she saw the body. She brought down her horns, and started charging at the young man. It was another person that she couldn't save. She wasn't going to let him escape. She would attempt to ram herself into him, using her strength to propel her faster than Lancer had seen her go.

Garret Reveley

"The Twin Spears of Old"

As Garret's challenge was out in the open, he would notice a small change in her overall gloomy expression. Her eyes had lit up at the mention of his challenge, which meant that it had posed a good distraction as he had thought it would. Though externally he revealed nothing save his usual cool arrogance, internally he was smiling that he had managed to shift her focus so she would no longer be saddened by whatever she thought of. Despite this, however, her response was not immediate as he had been expecting it to be. Contrary to her eyes lighting up, she seemed to take her time to ponder what he presumed was accepting the challenge. Which in his mind did not make sense, lest there was an unknown reason that was causing her to pause and consider. It never once crossed his mind that it was the how she would promise, having assumed he would merely take control of that with his own version of promising. Which for him was more a vow, but to him that was just semantics and found if he were to promise something it should be as unbreakable as a vow. 'Though the saying may be antiquated, a mans word is his word. So I shall strive to always keep mine, despite the trouble it may cause as every person should.' He thought to himself, wanting to live up to the chivalrous name of his family even if others did not know him for who he truly was. The people who mattered most to him were dead, and all the dead could do in regards to him was watch from wherever they resided if they so chose. He expected them to till his quest was complete, and perhaps past. He hoped such was the way at least, for he did not like the taste of the afterlife being void and empty. 'All but the least deserving should have peace in death, whether they be slain by my spears or I slain by them.' He thought grimly to himself, losing himself slightly in thought when he saw a sudden movement.

He watched Ora begin to take off in the direction of the forest, leaving Garret confused and believing he had perhaps done something wrong in his own temporary silence. As his eyes followed her, him debating if he should follow her and potentially fix or ruin things further, he noticed her path was aimed straight towards a tree. He was about to call out to her to lookout, but then remembering how easily she had broken one with no momentum he figured she would be fine and chose not to speak. It was then, once near the tree, she would kick off of it and direct herself back at Garret in a very quick maneuver. Caught completely by surprise at what was happening, it would seem like Ora was flying back to him with all her built up speed and momentum. All he could do as his mind went into shock was take a lone step back. Which still left him in her path. He felt her impact in his temple, pain and nausea quickly spreading through his body as he was knocked down to the ground from the impact of it. As he was falling, he briefly thought that even with his aura he would not have been able to withstand that. He hit the ground hard, skidding a little from the residual force of the blow, laying there for a little time. He could smell the and taste the metallicness of his own blood as the world was spinning and his ears were ringing. With his temple being hit most of his primary functions were in disarray as he felt an intense throbbing sensation there. He groaned and did not even hear of the new persons arrival.

Oblivious to all that was being said and done for now as Garret was trying to recover from the blow to his head, he very slowly moved to a sitting position. Or tried to in the least. His first attempt he barely got a few inches off the ground before the pain and nausea sent him back down. Shakily breathing, he mumbled a few words that only he himself could really hear. "Note to...self...don't let her...Headbutt you..." He very quietly and slowly spoke, trying to swallow the blood still going into his mouth rather than leave the taste in it. He brought up his arm, slowly, to wipe away as much as he could with his sleeve before he resolved himself. 'I will get up!'He thought to himself as he again attempted to rise. The pain and nausea were not as bad this time, and he found himself now in a siting position facing the new person there. At first he was certain his eyes were playing tricks on him, as the person was atop a very large coffin and was a bit blurry. Slowly the image came to focus as his head stopped spinning, and he could see it was an actual person there. 'How many others...are going to join me?' He confusedly thought to himself, not knowing the persons intentions in the slightest nor hearing his lies with his ears ringing. For a dangerous wood it seemed to be attracting a lot of lone pairs to it and he wasn't sure how to feel about that.

It was then that the person would jump down and kick the coffin that he was unsure how it had even arrived there. His ears, having stopped ringing, allowed him to hear air being released sharply from somewhere as the figure would say oops and a compartment would open. Out of it fell something that made Garret question whether the blow had actually knocked him out and he was dreaming. What appeared to be a human fell forward but it was covered in a lot of blood. He felt more so than heard Ora begin to charge, seeing her begin to speed past him with the intent to ram this new person, or so Garret thought. Despite his condition, he wanted to figure out what was going on and make sure Ora did not needlessly kill herself. Slowly rising to his feet, once again feeling nausea and the world spinning as he would have to pause till his sense oriented himself, he would slowly walk closer to the body. Though the person seemed to be dead, he could not be sure they were actually dead till he reached them. What he would do to help he did not know, but he would have to check as currently he could not fight adequately. It would also give him the advantage of closing the distance between himself and this newcomer, so that perhaps he could at least launch Virtue. 'His last statement was so cruel and casual, disregarding this person he brought.' Garret silently thought to himself as he was closing the distance, wondering at what purpose this man was here and why he would openly make himself seem the villain. 'It could be an ego to match his theatrics, and had I been in better shape I would have made him pay his dues for insulting the dead or nearly deceased.' He thought to himself, having the man firmly as someone who needed to be stopped in his mind. Nearing the body, he was about to check for vitals when he saw it was a simple stage prop. Which boggled his mind to no end as to why it smelled of blood yet was not living. He would look towards this new person, thoroughly confused as his mind tried to find reason in this and knew he could not tell Ora in time that it was not a real person. Despite the blood being real, which made things all the weirder as there was a lot of it. 'Why bring a fake and pretend it to be the same thing? Why villify one self to complete strangers.' Garret thought, with similarly posed question going through his mind.

Hearing the rush of trampling feet growing closer the white haired thespian refused to tun his head. He merely made a click noise with his mouth and smiled to himself out of sight before letting go of the coffin straps, doing an about face, spreading his arms wide and proclaiming as if to the world or an audience. "There it is!" Ora's charge would plow full force meeting only some resistance, and to Garret's perhaps surprise the boy showed no signs of using his aura to cushion the blow, and if he did it was scarce. Immediately keeling over the boy fell to his knees. Ora would have heard on impact audible snaps. She'd broken ribs...and maybe more. The boy vomited a good sum of blood implying some internal damage that would warrant it. This entire time though where in Ora could indulge in what seemed like a victory the boy smiled, and cursed.

"Kekeke, damn, I'm still alive." His mood did not shift from its cheerfulness. Perhaps in this time Ora would overhear Garret proclaim the body was indeed just a fake theatrical prop. This is where in the boy would turn his head towards the spear man and give him an answer. Although the answer he'd recieve would likely be one that would make little sense. "kekeke, because people, are interesting." he'd turn his head back to ground coughing up a little more blood. His condition was likely critical. "and perhaps because I think my life isn't worth all that much living." In short he was suicidal, a complete juxtaposition the boys cheerful demeanor. Ora was the victim of circumstance. An individual whom decided to act first and think later. Allister to found this interesting. As this plan certainly would never have worked if it had been Garret himself.

"Don't be too hard on yourself now." He'd say to the ground but the real person of whom he was directing the words to was Ora. "I'm just a ball of negativity it wasn't my true intent to bring that Ursa your way but I can't deny like I said earlier it was my fault it was there to begin with. Kekeke." A thicker amount of blood came out of his mouth due to talking but he continued still with a chipper up beat attitude. "Ah, when I do die though, put me in my coffin. I don't mind mixing my blood with pork's. No need to bury it." The white haired boy was slowly starting to loose his consciousness but he'd tack something on to the end of his sentence. "I suppose if you did get me to the nurses office fast enough I'd survive. Kekeke, but don't do that. It would be a total waste of time for someone like me." and just like that the boy fell forward passed out.

In this instance of the white haired boy possibly dying, Ora would be guilty of assisted suicide and maybe by her perspective accidental murder. While he was weird and came off as antagonistic the man she'd headbutted was for the most part innocent of any real crime aside from playing a cruel prank. Maybe she would be too young to understand these implications. But certainly the spearman would. It would come together now why the white haired boy came to a dangerous part of the woods alone to begin with. A place to die, but he didn't seem satisfied to simply die, he wanted an interesting death, and what an interesting death it would be to have someone who wasn't thinking clearly to kill him. In this way he could at least have used his life to help a person grow in a way...or wallow in depression, sadness and self loathing. Honestly he'd take either assuming it would be fun to watch as a ghost...Ah but he wasn't dead yet.

Ora would ram into the man, she had expected to hit aura and bounce off of it, however, she felt the body crumple in front of her. Blood was rushing into her ears from anger. She felt her inner fire burning bright. She had to stop herself from headbutting him repeatedly. She wasn't the demon child that everyone thought she was. Fire almost burned in her eyes. She took a step back, trying to get the red out of her eyes. It wasn't that she had blood in her eyes, but that was how angry she was. She took a moment to get a quick breathe.

When her vision finally cleared, she saw Lancer with blood running down his face. Was that because of the headbutt? Had she been too passionate with it? Then she saw the villain on the ground...how many times had she hit him. Her brow felt wet, she reached up and touched it, finding blood on it, but no wounds for herself. She looked at Lancer, almost confused at what happened.

Garret had missed the initial blow the man took, but his gaze found him on his knees as he vomited blood. He could not hear the cracking sound given having been lost in thought to a degree and his hearing only recently recovering, but he didn't need to to be aware that many things are likely broken inside of him. While Garret was deprived of his aura due to his semblance, he knew no reason why this persons was not there to protect him. It should have offered him better protection so Ora's blow would not have been as devastating, unless she could do such damage despite aura. With little to go on, all Garret could know for sure was the man was severely wounded to be vomiting blood. It would be then that he heard the man, in a strangely cheerful voice, curse to the fact that he was still alive. Which further confused Garret in his mind, as he could not understand why he would be disappointed at still being alive when he sounded so cheerful. He would then continue to speak, but now directly addressing Garret himself as his own head turned towards him. His first response left him even more confused as he said people were interesting. Which with all the context he had, currently none, made zero sense. The man would turn his face back to the ground, and coughed up more blood. 'He is not long for this world.' Garret thought to himself, still unsure if the man deserved to live or not as he knew so little about him other than his prank. That is, until he spoke again right after coughing up the blood, saying that his life isn't worth all that much living. It was then that some of the pieces, strange as they were, started to fit.

'The man was suicidal...' Garret thought to himself, as his cheerfulness and cursing at having not died from the blow seemed to make more sense. Further, having pretended to have a dead body of a person appear in front of them, provoking them to see if someone would attack, now made sense as well as to why he would villify himself which Garret had been trying to figure out. He would go further to say that bringing the Grimm that attacked Garret was his fault, as it was attracted to his negative energy. Why he mentioned that much, Garret was uncertain, other than that he did not intend to. Which reminded Garret of the wound on his back, but it was currently eclipsed by the headbutt he had received from Ora. He had his aura to help with the back wound for at least a little bit of time comparative to it being non existent when headbutted. More blood came out of his mouth as he indirectly explained the blood in the coffin, and presumably on the body, was pigs blood which explained where that came from. Answering another of Garret's questions in regards to everything he had done first. 'It would seem he is very forthcoming when he believes his death to be near.' Garret grimly thought to himself, not knowing what to do as he had little to no medical experience for wounds as serious as his probably were. Almost by chance, as if the persons goal was to answer every subconscious question that popped into Garret's mind, he would say there would be a chance to save him if he were taken to the nurses office but that it wouldn't be worth it. 'I have yet to judge whether you live or die, and until I am certain you shall live.' Garret thought to himself, as he would walk towards him and Ora as the man fell forward and passed out. Had he had his aura and not been wounded, he would have tried to catch him so he wouldn't be further wounded. However, that was not the case as he slowly walked towards him and only reaching him long after he hit the ground.

He briefly noticed the confused look on Ora's face, but he was determined to have the man live if only to have judgement passed on him later for whether or not his life was worth saving. The man had left his coffin open ever since the body fell out, and garret took the the task of pushing it over wordlessly. It took some effort due to his prior injuries as he strained with the effort, but no more than 15 seconds would pass before he would push it down to the ground with the one end that could open facing the sky. It was then that he would grab the arms of this new person and look over towards Ora again. "Quickly, if he is to live we need to move him into the coffin and take him to the academy with haste." Garret would simply and directly say, knowing there was no time to waste with how the mans condition appeared to be. Had he the strength and not received the head wound, he would have moved him up himself. Just the act of bending down to grab the mans arm made him a bit nauseous and mess with his own sense of balance. He could do so by himself, but it would cause significantly more harm than good to try and lift him into it. The irony of loading him into a coffin to save his life did not escape him, as he had to have him on something stable to transfer him with severe internal injuries from what he had observed the townsfolk doing after a Grimm attack. He had assumed Ora had heard what he had, and he himself never hearing his prior words, believed she would want to help and save the mans life. So much so he was already holding the mans hands up and looking towards his unconscious form rather than Ora as he was waiting for her to grab his legs. However, even as he thought this he could feel his aura reforming around him, feeling it begin to help with mostly his head. It would still take some time for him to be fully recovered, but it would give him extra strength so long as he did not sustain an extra head injury. He would be fine by the time any threat came, or so he hoped.

Ora would help Lancer put the man into the coffin. Once he was in there, she would close it and then put it on her back, using the straps that were on it. Why there were straps, she didn't know. The bird landed on top of the coffin, and just stayed there. She would then look to Lancer and shrug. She knew that she had gotten angry, but it didn't register in her mind that she had done this to the man. She knew that Lancer would want to move quickly to save him. She would pick up the coffin, and it nearly toppled her over.

She looked at Lancer, and dug her heels into the ground. She then pulled it onto her back, her armor would groan as it bent forward. She would then start to move slowly. "This is heavier than it looks..."

As soon as Ora grabbed the mans legs and aided Garret in lifting him into the coffin, she seemed to take over automatically. He hadn't entirely expected her to be so cooperative to what was more of an order than a suggestion, though he supposed it was within her character. 'She desires to protect others, so protecting this one from death is certainly something she believes in.' Garret thought to himself, believing it to be her trying to fix attacking the man when he may be innocent. He wasn't expecting her to so quickly act on her own in this regard given her earlier confused look he had noticed. He was glad for it though as by her doing this so quickly and wordlessly it would allow them to take the man somewhere he could be treated sooner. As she closed the door, he briefly hoped there was air holes or something in it to ensure he could breathe but he quickly dismissed the thought reasoning they could occasionally open the lid slightly to allow air to pass through. Though there came the thought of how they would move it about now that there was a body in it. The person may have been able to easily move it on his own, but now that they were unconscious and in it there would be significantly more weight to it. Perhaps they could split it between the two of them...but an attack would prove much more dangerous then.

It was then that Ora would attempt to carry the coffin and almost fell over as a result. Lancer's eyes would widen both in worry for her and the unconscious body inside the coffin. They could both be injured by going on this route. Instinctively he stuck a hand out towards her to try and help, but found she had recovered by herself. He was about to offer help, to carry it with her, when he saw her give him a look as she dug her heels onto the ground and carried the coffin on her back. Even her armor seemed to groan from the weight of it all and she was moving very slowly. She was very much a walking target lugging the coffin with the body all by herself. 'If I were to help her carry it equally, then we would both be large targets with little benefit.' He thought to himself. As much as he desired to share the load equally with her, as he could not hold it himself. He would need to make sure if they were attacked one of them at least was mobile enough to defend the other.Though he still felt the effect of the headbutt, his aura was helping to heal it and nullify the effects of it.

Garret would nod to Ora as she mentioned the weight and began walking towards their destination. "I shall act as your escort till we are all safely in the academy." He would merely say, uncharacteristically short for him as he saw the need to focus more so than speak. He was not going to irritate her with more questions as he had done before. Instead he would match pace with her and walk beside her as he thought of a appropriate strategy. He could act as a forward scout, but the ground they had covered was hardly clear. They may have killed one grimm, but this place had many that could've caught their tracks. He was uncertain how many Grimm that man alone may have given rise to or attracted. Or if he was still attracting them in his dreams. So scouting ahead would not be a viable strategy for them in their current numbers. It seemed the only appropriate action would be to stay beside her to have the best chance to react to attacks. Sure, the path ahead of them would be unknown but it was better to know the position and status of what he was escorting in this situation.

They walked like this for some time until Garret could see the academy peeking through the tops of the trees. However...with it he heard gunshots and the sounds of battle. Garret quickly came to a decision. "It seems the path ahead of us will be treacherous." He would begin, increasing his walking pace and not turning to face Ora as he spoke, his tone returning to an air of confidence. His left hand, free with virtue on his back, would slowly turn into a fist and his grip on Heir would tighten. Though Ora could not see it, he had a large and cocky grin on his face. "And though it would be interesting to see you fight, I cannot carry the coffin. The injured needs to make it to the infirmary." Garret's pace would speed up even more until he would, a good distance in front of her, suddenly stop and turn to face her. His old air of arrogance was in full effect, and he hardly seemed affected by his prior blows. Which was true....mostly because the adrenaline was flowing through him at the prospect of battle that temporarily allowed him to ignore it. "So I shall go and either deal with the issue...or provide an adequate distraction for you to slip through. Either way, this is where we part ways. It was a pleasure to have survived you...Lamb." Garret said, in his usual tone as his smile would steadily grow throughout his lengthy goodbye. It being as wide as it could be when he called her Lamb, having thought of the nickname a while ago but given her volatile nature only decided to use it only when he was able to make an escape. 'Especially to avoid a headbutt from her.' He thought to himself. With that parting smile, and a short bow, he would run off ahead of her towards the sound of battle. He did not activate his semblance quite yet, preferring to save it till he knew fully what was going on first. Still, compared to her he should quite easily speed away. He did not draw Virtue quite yet, preferring to keep it on his back so he didn't have to worry about two spears getting caught on anything while running forward. Though he was not very silent, he also was not particularly loud as he tried to avoid the noisiest flooring. 'And now a chance for me to prove my worth.' He thought to himself happily as he sped towards the courtyard.

Ora would follow Lancer in silence. All of her breathe was being used to carry this heavy coffin. She did her best, to carry it, the crow was cawing, annoying her. She had to focus though. One slip up, and she would drop it. Then Lancer decided that he was going to go ahead, and help the fighting she could hear ahead. She wanted to help as well, but she had a job. She had to get him to the doctors...Wait...he called her Lamb. That was the first nickname that she had been given that wasn't derogatory for whom she was. She was touched. She would continue their mission.

As people walked into the cave, the light would be behind them, getting darker and darker. Once people were about 20 feet in, it would become so dark that unless you were a faunus, you would not be able to see without light.

Cecil kept on moving, slowly further into the cave before he stopped just before being surrounded in pitch darkness. He looked to his left, to his right.... nothing. He could hear nothing but the footsteps of himself, his companions, and the ice hitting the floor when he walked with the cane. He turned around to the group and soon said, "Oi, we're running in blind here." He told them all, wondering if any of them had a light.

They pushed further and further into the cave. Light began to fade behind them and they were soon in still darkness. Nothing heard, but the singing of their footsteps against the cave walls. "You're type of place, huh, Onyxia." He joked out loud. Adam heard some footsteps that seemed a bit 'extra' for lack of better term. He figured it was the cane Cecil used. "Uh, peeps. I don't think my great smile is enough to light this cave. Anyone have a light of some sort?" he asked to no one in particular.

As they stepped further into the cave, their steps echoing off of the damp stone walls, the light from out began to shrink farther and farther behind them. It wasn't long before they were shrouded in utter darkness. It was the type of darkness you could only get beneath the ground, a windowless room perhaps. The type of darkness that carried a weight. It was heavy as it pressed in on them. Leaving them completely blind, they were forced to rely on their other senses. Sound. Touch. The loss of her sight made Ridley feel a bit helpless, and that was a feeling she despised more than anything else. It brought her back to the deep, dark memories of her past. Memories she would much rather have kept buried, along with her father.

Reaching out as they continued their progress, Ridley found the wall of the cave, running her fingers along it as she walked to keep from tripping over unseen objects in the dark. She might actually think she were alone, f not for the footsteps echoing behind her followed by that of voices. First Cecil, then Adam. Cecil had a good point. One that didn't sit well with her. Running in blind was never a good idea. Not that she wasn't occasionally guilty of such things. As hot-headed and passionate as she was, she couldn't always help it. Still, this situation was a bit different in regards to they were actually quite literally blind at the moment. Walking through a damp cave with no idea what was lurking outside. Sure, considering the mecha prints they saw outside, they could always assume. "Running blind in a dark cave that is likely full of bandits and possibly their stolen mecha tech... That's a comforting thought." She stated, not ab;e to help the sarcastic edge to her voice nor the breathy sarcastic laugh that followed.

The brunette was cursing herself now for not thinking to obtain a light source before entering the cave. Way to go, Rid. Utterly brilliant, as always. She thought bitterly to herself, letting a long sigh pass through her lips. As Adam called out, asking if anyone had a light, she shook her head lightly... not that he could actually see it through the darkness. Remaining silent, she waited to see if anyone else had any brilliant ideas, while also staying alert just in case someone, or something, tried to sneak up on them and get the upper time. "We should stick close together. It would be way to easy to get separated in this darkness, whether on accident or by the devious plans of the enemy. We're stronger as a team."
