After the other two had their hand at the zombies, Deimos stepped in to take out the remaining few. He made deft work of smashing them down, making sure to take out the heads so they had no chance of getting back up again. Or maybe he should take out the legs..? Could Daywalkers even continue existing with caved in heads?

With that taken care of, he spared a look back at the group. Everyone seemed fine enough, no big damages taken. "I'm gonna go up ahead and see what's there." Dei nodded to Hifumi, then shuffled up the hallway, trying to be at least somewhat quiet about it. No need to alert daywalkers if he didn't have to.
He didn't get very far before finding a door. Quickly, he turned around and returned to the group. "There's a door up ahead... lets get it open."

Caiden watched Deimos walk ahead, still not sure about how to feel about the tealblood. He sighed. These ship missions were really keeping him on edge, not to mention his previous grievances and weights on his thinkpan. Caiden frowned at himself. He should not be so hard on the tealblood, they were both just trying to get through all this. The brownblood looked at the door that the tealblood had called them to, trying to put on a nice smile. "It looks trapped to me, but, well, good find Deimos!" Caiden said, hoping the forced cheer was not that obvious.

Etsali disarms the trap with her eyes closed (journeytroll covert ops)
"Now we're talking." Etsali moved up to get a good look at the door, paying close attention to every detail. It was obviously trapped, and obvious traps could be the worst because they were usually distractions from the real danger. Turned out this one was as simple as it seemed though. Huh.
This is a mini-boss battle, the full rules and mechanics of which can be reviewed here. Vremea had followed the others with little complaint, and again, he'd found a door. A small part of her hoped this was a door to the control center, but she knew they weren't so lucky. Thankfully it was only trapped. Etsali was good at dismantling those— Watching the way the other deftly removed the traps, she clapped a little before entering after it'd been removed, only to get knocked to the side violently by a force of energy— WAIT a second, was that...! She stumbled into the wall, groaning. Well, now she knew— That was a helmsman right there. She lifted her scythe— It was time to take the undead creature down.

Caiden let out an audible gulp as the thing came upon them. It was a troll, or, well, at one point it was a troll. Now it was some sort of decaying, decrepit thing, barely standing on its "limbs" if you could even call them that. The thing was not looking that well, but at the same time it still managed to throw a nasty punch. "Oh-okay! Lets get this!"

Deimos attacks the Voracious, Virulent, Reanimated Helmsman!
This... this looked awful. Deimos hesitated for a moment before charging in with the others. He barely managed a hit to the helmsman's side, and earned himself a vicious punch in response. Thrown off balance, he staggered off to the side a few paces, mind reeling. This thing really meant business. "Figures we get a helmsman..." He muttered, wiping some blood away from his mouth.

Oh great, another one of those daywalkers that had clearly been helmsman back before they had died. Etsali still hadn't gotten an answer on whether psionics carried on after death, but she had an inkling of what it could do if they did. She couldn't sit around and wait to see!

The thief fell back from an attack, gritting her teeth against the pain, and reached for her belt. The grappling hook gun hadn't been made for attacking like this, but she found it was useful anyway. Pulling it free, she pressed the button to extend the hook and fired. The helmsman was knocked away from connecting another hit.

Oof, another strong hit. Vremea stumbled back, throwing a random item at it as Etsali launched her grappling hook at it-- For a second she'd flinched, thinking it was at another troll, but the dead helmsman could hardly be called a troll at this point, could it? She kept telling herself this as she ran toward it again, ready to attack.

The attack seemed to come down on him in slow motion, like in a movie. Caiden tried to situate himself so his helmet took the blunt of the blow, and he just barely managed it too. The attack sent him scrawling against the opposite wall, but at least he hadn't been harmed or anything. "Erg..." He said, seeing stars.

This thing was proving to be a lot more sturdy than the lusus. Deimos was in way over his head, and he knew it. The creature seemed to be going berserk, throwing things around the room. He ducked, but wasn't fast enough and ended up getting hit by a flying scrap of metal. He hissed in pain, holding his head with his free hand as he tried to get the world to stop spinning.

The daywalker hadn't been knocked off course for long, unfortunately. Etsali charged in with a kunai again, letting out a sharp battle cry to draw its attention in on her. The countering blow was painful, but she'd given as good as she'd gotten. They were nearly through here, she was sure.
