I encorporated two of them plus a picture of Erik into one of my sigs and at the bottom it says "Because I'm a TOTAL Phan." I love Christine, Raoul, and Erik. <3

I like Roau! I don't understand why everyone is always calling him a fop, he really isn't. I think he is an amazing characters, though they could have done a lot more with him in the AWL movie sweatdrop He was so much more animated in the book. Even though he cried a bunch of times it was because he is a really sensitive young man, not a pansy as many people like to call him. I mean, sure he doesn't have the whole mysterious cave-dwelling and deformity that Erik phans like (Though I do love Erik myself) but Raoul is a wonderful character. He is honest and dedicated, a tad bit jealous though. the only thing I don't like about him would be that just because Erik is in love with Christine that he wanted to kill him. Its not like Erik harmed her or anything. But other than that I really like him.

Yes, Erik does cry in the book too. I suppose people think that he has more of a reason because of his face. But they forget how Raoul is barely an adult and how he is so passionately in love. He is filled with such amazing emotion. Go Raoul! mrgreen

If it was Erik outside, he sure as hell wasn't there to bring Raoul hot cocoa and a mint. He would have killed him. Raoul thought he was acting in self defense. And personally I think it was Erik, just because if I were Erik that's what I'd do. You're livid, you just found out that your Christine is going to run off with this other guy, you don't want to hurt her, so what do you do? Of course! You sneak up to his balcony, wait until he falls asleep, and then beat his pretty-boy face in with a bedside lamp. ^_^ It's useful AND theraputic. I hated that part of the SK book. evil They made Raoul look like a sociopath.

I just got a VERY annoying PM about my sig which said "NONONONONONONONO~!!! You CANNOT be an Erik fan and like the R/C couple, just... NOT... possible!!! *head implodes*
E/C All the way"... why are people so closeminded?
By the by, we were doing a thing about rebellion in my MAC class today and we had to pick characters from literature/movies/etc who were rebels OR didn't fit in and I wrote down Erik, Christine, and Raoul but Raoul was the only one I shared with the class. He went against his brother and gave up his status and money all to be with the girl he loved.

And he gave up everything he had, a lifetime of title and luxury, even after Christine had already put him through hell with the whole Erik debacle. That's devotion, for you...
