Veska "Knife-Ear" Lorlilia Veska hadn't even thought of his wound since he had gotten it despite it being needing tending to. He looked to his shoulder and blinked as if it was entirely new and alien. "Forgot." He stated simply, moving to undo the knot and unwinding the silk, the more it was unraveled the wetter it got until it revealed a splattered area of smeared blood, the silk being gently set down in a damp pile. "Shouldn't have. Did. Need to patch."He reached into his pack, as if digging for something and pulled out a few strips of thin leather cord. It was no string and would definitely hurt if he stitched it through but it seemed like he had no alternative. He set it down and then held up a hand. "Outside. Bone need. Be back." He then quickly scurried off to go gather a bone from outside. While he was outside, something in the dark corner of the cave stirred. It's breath had been silent and it was well hidden in the darkness with it's sleek black feathers. A head slowly craned itself out from beneath its wings, pale skin and long hair made partially of feathers was what came about. A small yawn and then a blurred blink and it was staring directly at a human. It immediately spoke, though it was a slur of speech. "Oh? Did he finally bring me something to eat? He's such a nice elf... I'm glad I let him stay here, really I am... I get to admire him from up here and he doesn't even notice... Dear what's your name, I'd like to know it so I can steal it..." It was coming up off of its stone perch, arms stretching into wide wings as it hopped and glided down for a gentle landing. Veska in the meantime was outside, digging through the bones, sitting up and his ears flicked slightly, turning his head towards the cave. Weird murmuring was coming out of it, though it was probably just Aravae doing something lady important. He went back to picking through the bones, looking for one small enough to be easily fashioned into a small surgical hook. ((OOC: Time for a side character! Maybe! Depending on how things turn out and it isn't killed. Harpy Also sorry it took me so long to get a reply in))

ɑɾɑvɑҽ ☪ ɓҽɑυოoɲʈ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Ara watched as he untied to silk from his would. The more fabric he unraveled, the more blood stains he uncovered. Once he was finished and set the fabric aside, he dug through his things and pulled out a leather cord. Ara visibly winced as she stared at it, knowing what he was going to use it for and knowing that it was going to be extremely painful. However, he seemed set to his resolve. There weren't many other options and the wound couldn't go untreated, so Ara didn't stop him when he went to search for a bone to use in place of a needle. He had more guts than she did, Ara wasn't sure if she could bring herself to stitch her own woulds. Especially not like this. Shortly after Veska had left, Ara got an eerie feeling that she wasn't alone. Her eyes darted anxiously towards the entrance of the cave, hoping Veska would be returning. However, he was no where to be seen, and as far as she could tell... She was completely alone. The voice that sounded from the darkest corner of the cave caused the hairs on the back of her neck to rise. Slowly, almost agonizingly slowly, she turned to face the voice. Her eyes landed upon the creature and she was unable to do anything but stare. Her hand flew instinctively to the hilt of her blade, however she didn't draw it yet. Instead, she kept her blue eyes trained on the feather being that was gliding gently from the ceiling. Ara's heart was racing in her chest, her mind racing through her options. She could run, but likely wouldn't make it very far. She could call for Veska, but that might just make the creature decide to attack sooner. Instead, she played it cool. She stayed calm, her hand resting on the hilt of her blade, ready to draw it at a moments notice. She raised her voice when she spoke, not enough to draw suspicion, but she was hoping it was enough that Veska's inhuman senses would catch onto it. "Ella." She lied, not feeling comfortable giving her true name away. Names held power, and where the creature had admitted to wanting to still her name, it seemed like a bad idea. "He is a nice elf, he is helping me on my journey." ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━((OOC: Ooooo, this ought to be interesting. ^^ Also, no worries!))

Veska "Knife-Ear" Lorlilia Veska's ears certainly picked up at the louder talking. That also wasn't the same murmuring as before. He drew his blade from his hip and snagged a rather pointy bone, slipping it into his belt before pulling out the bone dagger and holding it in a duelist's grip, ready to use it to parry or, since there was no ring guard, throw. He didn't want to alert whatever Aravae was talking to however so his steps were slow as he moved onto the stone to ensure that he did not make a sound as he moved. Even with his hurt leg and wounded shoulder and the pain the movement caused, it was little when it came to protecting his current charge. The harpy didn't seem to notice, continuing to pace around Aravae. "I've watched him for a long time you know. Always walking about in the forest. Let him stay here in my roost so I could watch him do all sorts of things..." The harpy seemed to puff up its feathers at the idea of Veska and there was a dreamy gaze in her eyes. "Always been to shy to approach him... If I take your place though Ella... I am sure you understand." The talons that made up her feet clicked on the stone ground. Then, everything was a blur. A growl and a body jumping forward to bowl over the squawking harpy who who had talons up in the air and wings flapping about wildly as feathers and gusts of wind billowed about. Veska was on top of the harpy, the dagger to her throat and the steel blade raised above his head, the tip pointing down towards the harpy who was still freaking out at the surprise attack. It's legs couldn't find much purchase on Veska, whom was sitting on the creature's stomach. "You okay Aravae? No harm?" He then looked down at the harpy and pressed the blade further into the creature's neck in a threatening gesture. "Quiet. No squawk. Alert enemies." Both the voice and the dagger seemed to quiet the creature down who was now red in the face and just staring at the elf. If Aravae had ever seen infatuation before... This would be it at an almost childish level as well. "I-I wasn't going to eat-."
"Quiet."
"O-oh... Okay..."Veska just glared at the harpy for a moment before looking back to Aravae, looking her up and down for any particular signs of damage. When he saw no damage he gave a grin. "Caught turkey.""I am not a turkey!" The harpy shouted. "I have a name that was given to me by my mother you know, and before you ask it's Bellivere! She liked human naming conventions!" The harpy was puffed up again in indignation at being called a turkey. She looked to the side with a huff and muttered under her breath. "... Called me a turkey... Stupid.""Not stupid." Veska replied, not bothering to look back as his ears flicked in response to the muttering.

ɑɾɑvɑҽ ☪ ɓҽɑυოoɲʈ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ The harpy was circling around her. Ara slowly rotated herself, so that her back was never to the creature. She did her best to stay calm, trying to think the situation over logically, rather than panicking. Panicking wouldn't do her any good, probably the opposite actually. She kept the emotions off her face, not wanting the harpy to get the satisfaction of seeing her afraid. She listened to her talk, with a seemingly curious on her expression. It took a moment for the true meaning of her words to sink in, but then her eyes widened and her cheeks took on a slight red color. The idea of the harpy sphing secretly on Veska, especially in his private moments in the cave, well, that made Ara a tad bit uncomfortable. Though, the next words that left the harpy's mouth pushed that entirely from her mind. Her talons clicking on the stone ground caused a shiver to run up her spine and she staggered backwards in an attempt to get away from the creature. Only, this part of the cave was very narrow and her back slammed into the stone wall. "No... Actually, I'm not sure that I would understand." She said, though the fear was starting to seep through her cool composure. Ara wasn't exactly sure what hapoened next, for it hapoened in a blur of color and feathers. When the situation settled, relief washed through her. Her raised voice must have worked to alert Veska that something was wrong, because there he was pinning the harpy to the ground with his dagger held to her throat. Ara let out a long breath that she hadn't quite realized she had been holding in until that moment. When he looked to her, she momentarily met his gaze and gave a nod to his question. "Yes, I'm okay. Thank you." His attention then returned to the harpy beneath him, who was still struggling desperately beneath him. The harpy seemed surprised by Veska's attack, but Ara noticed something else in her eyes too. This went beyond anyy infatuation Ara had ever witnessed before. She wondered if she should say something about it to Veska, but before she could, the harpy's voice drew her attention. "Right." Ara scoffed as the feathered creature tried to deny her intentions to eat her. Veska cut her off before she could finish though. He seemed to have the situation under control. After a moment he returned his eyes to her, searching her up and down, she assumed double checking to make sure she wasn't harmed. His next comment combined with his grin, well, Ara couldn't help it... A small laugh escaped her lips and she smiled at Veska. The harpy on the other hand didn't seem to find it the slightest bit humorous. She was a bit indifnant. Ara bit her lower back, stifle a laugh. Then she stepped closer to Veska. "I think she is a harpy... and she seems to be rather fond of you, Veska." ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Veska "Knife-Ear" Lorlilia "Fawn?" Veska asked, looking back at the harpy with squinted eyes. "No fawn." The harpy just puffed up more at the seemingly obvious mistake. "Well see if I ever let you back into my cave!" Veska continued to keep the knife where it was, steady and as calm as can be. "Not yours. Nature. Nature no owners. Nature own self. Nature mother. Nature father. Nature brother. Nature sister."The harpy just looked at Veska incredulously. This was the person she had come to like? It was a rather earth shattering moment for the poor thing. "Get off me! You shouldn't treat a lady like this! Just bowl them over and get aggressive, how rude can you be!?" Veska let out a growl in response. "No lady. Harpy thing. Not lady." Veska responded back with another huff. He looked at her feathers for a moment. "Make arrow. Good fletching." The harpies eyes went wide again. Didn't seem he was much listening to her, rather, just considering on what to do with an animal he had caught. It's gaze looked to Aravae. "I-I'm sorry! Look! I'm sorry I was saying I was going to eat you! Just get this mad man off me! I swear I won't do anything! I didn't know he was like this! I mean, I did but I didn't." The voice turned into a whine at the end, and then a whimper of help as tears started to form in the harpies eyes. "Please don't kill me."Veska looked at Aravae. "Try hurt. You pick. Live. Die. Get fletching either way." He looked back at the female harpy. "Harpy thing useful." There was a bit more struggling of the legs and another whine. "I don't want to be plucked like a chicken! Please!"

ɑɾɑvɑҽ ☪ ɓҽɑυოoɲʈ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Ara couldn't help but laugh at Veska's misunderstanding. Unlike the harpy who once again seemed indignant by Veska's mistake, Aravae just found it amusing. As the two of them continued conversing, she watched as the infatuation in the harpy's turned to disbelief and ultimately despair. Aravae couldn't tell if the harpy was more shocked with Veska or herself. Ara , on the other hand, wasn't sure if she should find the situation amusing, or if she should feel bad for the creature. She did look rather distraught, but then again, she had also threatened to eat her. It was a tough call. The harshly seemed to realize that nothing she said was really getting through to Veska. He was too carried away with trying to decide was he was going to do with his newly captured creature. The harpy whined pitifully and struggled, kicking it's legs. It didn't do much food. Veska was stable as a rock. In desperation, the harpy turned its eyes to her. Ara blinked once as she pleaded with her. It was hard not to feel sorry for her with the whinenin her voice and the tears in her eyes. Then again, what if she went back on her word and Veska or herself ended up hurt. Or worse. Veska had come to enough harm to help her. The idea of him being injured further or killed because of her decision didn't sit well with the princess. Veska was waiting for her section now as well. A long sigh left her lips as she contemplated what to do. She watched the harpy struggled and plead for several moments before she finally came to a decision. "Fine. We won't kill you." Aravae started, but as she continued to stare at the harpy, her face grew fierce. "But, you will let Veska have some feathers for his arrows." It may sound harsh, but the thing had tried to eat her and she wasn't about to forget that. Itdeserved some from of punishment. "You will let Veska and I stay in this cave. You are not to bring either of us harm. And," She paused, giving Bellivere a serious look. "If you go back on your word, or make me regret this decision in any way... I will not stop him next time." ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Veska "Knife-Ear" Lorlilia Veska was quick to pull out six feathers with the hand that carried the bone knife, allieviating the harpy of a knife to the throat and his required feathers. The bone knife was then sheathed and he pulled away, getting off the harpy and going to rearrange everything that had been bowled over by the surprise attack. "Harpy thing named Bellivere. No like. No touch Aravae." He sheathed the sword next and then gave a nod to the one he was to be protecting before pulling out the bone that he had selected as his tool to stitch up his wound and use the leather cord with. Meanwhile Bellivere quickly sat up and scrambled over to Aravae, hiding behind her with puffed up feathers and tears still in her eyes. "H-he didn't even bring me dinner first before he bowled me over. H-how can you put up with him A-Aravae? H-he's scary." One wing went to cover her face and wipe her tears much like a hand would. "H-handsome but scary. How did mother ever get father if all wingless men are that scary?"Veska's shoulder's slumped at all of the talk behind him. He could understand it and while he didn't much get why this harpy was so upset that he had tackled her when she presented a threat it was annoying to hear. He tapped the bone chip a few more times to carve out what he needed to begin stitching up. Even his ears flicked at the scared. "Weak harpy thing." Veska stated in annoyance. "Outside bones not yours.""Are too! I can hunt with the best of them!" Veska's head turned to give a side-long glance and the harpy shrunk back behind Aravae, tapping the bend of her wings together and made an indignant and pouting face, muttering. "I-I can... Really." Veska just shrugged and spoke. "Aravae better. Hunt human."

ɑɾɑvɑҽ ☪ ɓҽɑυოoɲʈ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Aravae couldn't help the small smile that touched her lips when Veska instructed Bellivere not to touch her. Though, as soon as Veska released the harpy, she came scrambling to hide behind Ara's back. It was strange to see the creature that had been threatening to eat her and still her name was now cowering behind her. She couldn't help but find it just a tad bit amusing, though she didn't let that show. Bellivere was already frightened and embarrassed enough, there was no need for her to make it any worse for her. "Veska isn't really like most men." Ara said, peering over at him. Though she didn't seem the slightest bit appalled by that statement like Bellivere did as well as most woman would. No, she rather liked him the way he was. "I figured you would have put that together with all the spying you've down." Aravae added after a moment. The little tidbit of information still didn't sit well with her. Her next comment drew a small laugh from the girl's lips. "He's not scary." Ara stated simply. At least he wasn't to her. Maybe it was just because he had saved her life so many times, but despite his differences, he had never frightened her. She did agree with Bellivere on one thing. Veska was a very good looking man, but she wasn't about to admit that allowed. Especially not right now. Pushing that thought from her mind, she returned her gaze to Bellivere. "I don't have to put up with him. He's helping me. I'd be dead if it wasn't for him." Another laugh escaped her lips as she spoke of how wingless men were scary. Ara couldn't say she agreed, but before she could say anything at all, Veska cut into the conversation. Aravae couldn't help but feel amused by their bickering, though it was clear that the harpy didn't find it the slightest bit amusing. In fact, she was rather indignant about the whole situation. Though, it was hard not to agree with Veska. Bellivere had made a bold entrance. She had even had Ara quite scared for a moment there, but with the winged creature cowering behind her, it was hard to envision her as a fearsome huntress. Veska's next comment caused a small smile to tug at the corner of Ara's lips. "Do you really think I'm better?" She asked him happily. SHe was so used to being frowned upon for her skills, seeing as she was both a woman and a princess, it was refreshing to see that Veska thought otherwise. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━((OOC: Sorry for making you wait so long. Veska "Knife-Ear" Lorlilia Veska had finished tapping out and designing the bone hook he would be using to sew his wound shut. The leather cord was slipped through it and he turned to face the two of them, working as he spoke, his hands being just as rough as when he had stitched up his leg. "Not great. Good though. Not hesitant. Key survival." Veska made a motion to Bellivere behind her. "Harpy-thing hesitate. Time waste. Bad hunter." Veska then winced and turned his head to growl at his wound as if to intimidate it into making it stop hurting. Rather, he had pricked a finger on the end of the bone needle. He let out a sigh and then continued working through the smearing area. Bellivere in the meantime had begun to focus on Aravae. "Well- I mean... Yes I knew that... I just thought he was the... You know, woodsman type is all." Bellivere's voice went into a mumble, showing embarrassment at the idea that someone else knew she had been spying on Veska. It was like ladies at the court blushing over a few words exchanged between them and the opposite sex. Naive and not entirely based in the harsh reality of the real world where creature comforts had to be worked for every day. "Still hear." Veska stated with another grunt, leaning in to cut the leather cord with his teeth. Once it was snipped he tied it up and continued talking. "Say face. Not behind. Talk others. Say face." Veska grunted, slipping the not down close to the skin and then pulling out the bone knife to cut the rest of the excess cording so it wouldn't dangle about. Then Veska pulled up his pant leg to reveal the wound from just yesterday. It seemed healthy enough if a bit inflamed. "Need herb..." Veska muttered, poking at it with the bone knife. He spun the bone knife around and smacked the wound with the pommel with a harsh blow right on the seam of the wound and after a moment it began to run with a mixture of a slightly milky clear substance as well as blood. Veska's gaze lifted to Aravae. "Shoulder check. Can't be." He motioned to his leg. "Bad. Kill you. Shoulder check." He made a small motion with the knife against a hand as if to mimic the blow he had just done on his leg. "Catch early. Safe. Catch late... Kill."
