Those searching for flashlights Hania and Liryn found a flashlight each tucked away in a drawer. They weren't anything impressive in regards to light but it'd be enough to help them see down the dark pathway they were about to travel. Unfortunately though, the moon pearls weren't very bright tonight since the moon was only a waning crescent with about an 8% fullness rate, it wouldn't allow anyone to see much but maybe what was directly in front of them. -- Once the group finally started walking it didn't take long to reach a point in the path where it widened from a narrow duct to what appeared to be a hallway. There were doors, once they reached the bottom. Most of them sat unmarked and almost all of them were small--no more than two feet tall and half as wide. There seemed to be a good number of hallways connected to this one; these also seem connected and lead to more unmarked doors. There was one door, however, that stood out above the others; it was straight down the main hallway they had begun to fill into. This door seemed large enough for a human to step through comfortable and had a large star centered in the middle. The power signature they had been tracking seemed to be radiating from inside. Now, someone just needed to open it... Quote: Roll a 1d100, once. If you are the first to match the mule roll you may open the door. #59 HaniaAs he looked through the drawers he was momentarily distracted by the white ragamuffin(Snowball) answering his question. Two years ago? He had figured it had happened before he had awakened but hadn't thought it would be that close in comparison. At least it was likely that if there had been more youma lurking they would have attacked so it wasn't looking like there were any others to surprise them. Theoretically at least. He turned his attention back to the task at hand and gave a pleased purr when he came upon a flashlight. Not the best kind or anything but it would certainly work better then nothing. It would however be difficult for him to actually use said flashlight easily beyond just holding it in his mouth and keeping his head tilted so it pointed as straight as it could. There was however a solution. Picking up the flashlight he moved over to the ragamuffin and passed it to him. "Here, you would be able to use that easier then I could." He said, amusement in his eyes. Once the group was underway he stuck close to those with the flashlights until they got to where the path widened and they came to the doors. "Just what in the world was this area used for?" He asked out loud to no one in particular. After looking around at the many small doors his eyes were drawn to the larger door with a star on it. The Bombay mauvian moved to give the door a push to see if it would open.

(#41) [ Liryn] The moon pearl idea had turned out to kind of been a bust, because the pearls weren't particularly very bright.
Although Liryn hadn't really been expecting them to be - since the full moon had been quite a few days back.
Fortunately plan backup had been much more successful and there had been a flashlight tucked away in a drawer–
And whilst the light when he switched it on to test it wasn't brilliant, it was certainly a lot better than nothing, and a black mauvian with a light blue forehead star (Hania) had managed to find a second one which allowed them to have two between them.
"There's flashlights" he called out cheerfully to Tomlin as he made his own way through the way through that they'd made, it slightly more difficult for him in humanoid form than it would have been if he had been the cat.
Although the cat form didn't come with hands and he needed hands for the flashlight so it kind of swung in roundabouts.
Once Liryn got to walking proper, it didn't take much walking before the path they were walking along to widen from a narrow duct to passageway proper and his purplish eyes took in the hallways and doors being revealed by the light of the flashlight with undisguised curiosity - because he had had no idea that any of this was down here.
None of it seemed quite what he was looking for however until he came across the door with the large star at its centre, the strange signature that they'd been tracking seeming to almost radiate from it.
Liryn wedged the flashlight in his hands and stepped over to give it a push -
after the black cat from earlier that had found the other flashlight gave it a paw push - a part of him wondering if humanoid form strength would help to allow for it to open.
But alas it didn't seem to look like it would be quite that easy.
"Anyone have any ideas?" he asked as he looked about those with him - a key of some sorts would be ideal - but it was kind of dubious that there would be one just conveniently lying there.
Although it would definitely be great if one was.

#39EtoileAs the other cats started to head through the passageway, Etoile started to follow after, not wanting to be left behind, though it seemed a few other cats had yet to enter as well, so she paused, briefly. Some of them seemed to be searching for a light, even, and Etoile wondered if she should help, but ultimately headed down the path. An adventure, then! How fun! Etoile continued to trail after the others, before they began arriving into a large hallway, a big door at the end... supposedly from where the energy signature had been coming from, though it appeared to be locked. Watching another cat ( Hania give the door a little push, Etoile decided to trot on over, nudging the door with a tiny paw herself. Maybe if they all pushed together?

The poking and prodding at the computers hadn't accomplished anything but the mauvian's who were tugging at boards did. The strange energy signature almost went unnoticed by the kitten but thankfully not entirely. He did feel it eventually and as the others starting to take notice and move about he followed suite. With flashlights in 'hand' of some of the others he nudged Eta, hoping Wendell didn't pounce on him again, and headed down the tunnel with everyone else. He didn't like the dark, or the gloom, or not knowing what they were heading into. How did they all not know what was back here? The doors though? Those were another story and he wasn't sure they were one he wanted to deal with.

Mlinzi (someone make me do his journal >.>)2First the room went dark then apparently everyone found a boarded up hole in the wall, and then they unboarded it! Mel couldn't help but shake his head in surprise and a bit of disgust, if movies had taught them anything its that bad things happen in dark spaces that were once blocked off. Like every horror movie ever covered this very situation, not that Mel was a big horror fan. Personally he loved mysteries, it was always a shock to him when the murder was revealed or the bad guy trapped. A serious Scooby Doo moment. That reminded him, there were new episodes of some of his shows on Netflix, also he was missing the tv airing of a few shows as well. All to be here at this meeting that seems to have morphed into a horror movie. I wonder if we could even get out of here if need be. He silently mused, because if this was a real horror film they would all be trapped there.... for eternity while they were picked off one by one by the demon who was taking its revenge for being trapped here out on them. Mel was about to mentally add to the mental story of their current creepy situation when something one of the tall human cats said caught his attention. Bouncing up to the fluffy white haired guy ( Snowball) the savannah practically chirped out, "Man if you're going to trick this place out I've got some suggestions. First you all totally need a good cat tree or something we can climb, something to totally lounge on, even a couch would work. Second, a kitchen! Ya'll need food down here! An entertainment nook and -"He cut himself off as he saw more and more cats ducking into the now uncovered hole in the wall. "s**t. Looks like we might get left behind. Hey Ryn! Wait up!" He took off after his friend who had already made his way into passageway. He squeezed into the opening they had made and quickly joined the growing crowd of cats. It didn't take long at all for the passage to open up and reveal doors. Closed and presumably locked doors. Cat size doors, all but one. That particular door was the one directly in front of the group, humanesque size, and it even had a large star in the center of it. "If we weren't in a horror movie before we sure as s**t are now." He said as he took in their surroundings. "Next thing you know some creature will slam against the door, making it rattle and shake. So predictable." Mel sighed, somewhat dramatically but totally unintentionally, before going to study one of the smaller doors. Could his large a** really fit through such a small space? ((tl;dr - Mel is comparing current situation to horror movie, Suggesting stupid stuff for renovations to Snowball, Chasing after Liryn, Making a stupid remark. In general being obnoxious)) LP Mel actually does need one of those ear pieces however you might not want to give him it >.> litian Mostly using Ryn as an excuse to head down the passageway ^.^

The guardian twitched and shifted on her toes, her eyes darting into the dark corners the light couldn’t quite reach. There was no telling what was back here, and…
“Oh… This is bigger than I thought it was.” Ash said with a curious note to her voice as the group began to move deeper. The hole had been too unstable (and really, they’d probably been too chicken) to explore back when it had been made. Now, Ash wondered how they could have missed… all of this.
“Doors? Why are there doors here? I thought HQ was just the room under the tower.” She said to no one in particular as they reached the branching, looking over the doors there with wonder. They were small, definitely not made for humans, but… maybe the perfect size for those in cat form. Further down the hall, a far larger and more human-form friendly door came into view and some of Ash’s trepidation was forgotten in the face of curiosity.
A small hand reached to touch it, but there was no handle, no break or knob or control panel as she explored the edges of it.
“I wonder if it needs power… you think there might be a connection to the rest of HQ?” Ash called as she turned to look at the rest, her gaze particularly for the cats she knew; Snowball, Liryn, even Faust and that handsome male who seemed far older than the rest of them. “If we can get it reconnected, maybe we can get lights too, and open the door. I wonder why it was hidden?”

28 - Coeur d'OrCoeur licked her lips and sighed contently as she made her way to the command. It wasn't her fault, per se. She had been well on her way when she smelled something quite delicious. The man eating it managed to share some, and then a bit more, when she purred and relaxed on his lap for a bit. The thought of it still made her want to go back for more. The temptation of food was hard to resist.
As she approached the panel that led to the base, Coeur's forehead star was the key to getting in. It was dark, but there were a fair amount of Mauvians gathered. She had, seemingly, made it on time for something. They were making their way through hole and down some sort of tunnel. Flashlights were being used to light the way with a slight glow from the moon pearls. They didn't seem very bright, but still noticeable. She joined them at the end, not quite sure what to expect.
They made their way down to a hallway with different doors. Coeur was kind of confused by all the doors, but she walked up next to one and tried pushing it open while standing on her hind legs. This door, at least, was not budging.
She turned to a nearby cat (Etoile) and apologized. "I'm sorry, I got here a bit late... May have a quick blurb of what's going on?"Merurulince (( Sorry xD just picked someone random to interact with ;w; <3 ))

Torch, flashlight, whatever. So long as it was a lightsource, Tomlin didn't care what they called it. At least Liryn seemed in better spirits about the phone network issues than Ash was, and Tomlin was relieved to see some basic torches coming out of drawers.
With light, the tunnel was dusty and gross, but no longer disturbing. He headed forward with the group, keeping an eye out for shadows or movements that were not their own.
The hall of doorways was the most Mauvian place he'd ever seen. A human couldn't fit through those smaller doorways. And the large door was marked clearly with a star. He followed the others over to it, standing on his back paws and pressing his front ones against the door so he could reach up and sniff at the star-mark.

58Eta thought this was a terrible idea, but she followed after Sumi because she was a responsible Guardian who wasn't about to leave he or Wendell to their own devices. She kept her eyes open, ears alert to any strange sounds and tail ticking and twitching behind her.

6Magnus Magnus watched everything curiously as he soaked in as much as he could. Since he didn't feel like he had much to contribute to the current situation he hung back. Ever watchful of the other Guardians to see what they were doing and trying to learn what he could.
As the passage way was opened up, Magnus decided to throw caution to the wind to inspect that strange signature he could feel. So, like many others, he padded into the previously boarded up tunnel.
t was curious that such a section would be completely barred off like this. Surely some of the stuff here could be useful? Should have been attempted to be anyway. And what, pray tell, were all the doors leading to?
Deciding to sate his curiosity and his need to adventure, Magnus stopped at one of the unmarked ones and pondered it for a moment before putting kitty paws to use and attempting to open it.

25Once everyone had been satisfied snowball took the flashlight that required hands from Hania who had offered it to him. After all he wasn't about to be rude. Though as he was thinking, he thought that maybe everyone would benefit from a small pack that they could keep in their subspace pocket. At least then in a pinch they'd have flash lights and other small items to help them get out of trouble? He wasn't sure but it was a thought for another night.
Snowball gave a chuckle when Mel bounced up to him and started rattling off things that should be added to the cat command, "Welll . . . lets see what we can fix here first. There won't be a point in adding all of that if we don't have any power."
Snowball heard Ash's Question as he'd joined the group heading down the rabbit hole so to speak. "It's impressive isn't it? We should've checked this out sooner instead of just boarding it." There was no wonder that the youma they fought had been that big if this place was hidden down here.
Snowball was inspecting the smaller doors though with Curiosity until he saw the large door. Others had already tried to open it and he moved to give it a push and puzzled over it, ". . . Maybe? Or maybe it needs a password? Would someone do that?" He looked from Ash to Liryn
