WTF?! I was only out for lunch. crying
Shouldn't have done that, you're s**t out of luck now.

If I were a scalper I'd make a good bundle on the misfortune of others right about now. But sadly, I want to keep it all for myself.

Or at least until GW fixes the situation. They appear to be back-pedalling hard all of the sudden. They went from "we're doing digital rules" to "we're going to make sure everybody gets a chance to play it" to completely removing the message.
So much for drowning you in enough plastic to make the shame never go away. emotion_c8

I noticed this is a bit more high powered than Necromunda, which is pretty neat.

Quote:

Guard team model costs are exactly the same as the genestealer cult equivalents.

Their team special ability is that the leader can issue a command instead of shooting and all guardsmen within 6" can then re-roll to hit rolls of 1.

Sergeant has WS, BS, I 4 and Ld 8, otherwise baseline human. Trooper is a veteran, who has same stats as a veteran in 40k. New recruit is a guardsman, same stats as a 40k guardsman.

Pretty much everyone can get laspistol or shotgun at the same price GSC get them. Lasguns are 10 points cheaper than for GSC.

Can get Camo Gear for 5 points, which reduces maximum range of enemy weapons by 4", if I remember right.

Can get a Clip Harness for 10 points, which means you are immune to falling so long as you attached it in your last movement phase (which takes up your move).

Can't get photo visors for some reason, but those reduce the cover penalty by 1.

Carapace armour is 20 points and does basically what you expect.

Red Dot Sight is the same cost as skitarii pay and gives +1 to hit, but enemy gets a 6+ invulnerable, I think.

Telescopic sight is the same cost as for skitarii too, increases maximum range of weapon.

Frag, Melta and Krak, same as skitarii.

Pretty much everyone can have close combat weapons, knife for 5, sword for 15, chainsword for 25 and power sword (sergeant only) for 50.

Sergeant can take a bolt pistol (same as GSC), plasma pistol (50) or boltgun (35)

Special weapons are sniper rifle (40), flamer (40), demo charge (50, one shot), plasma gun (80), meltagun (95), heavy flamer (100) and grenade launcher (85/100/125 depending on grenades).

EDIT:

Marine Scouts are led by a sergeant (200 points, same statline as veteran sergeant in 40k), troops are scouts (100, current 40k scout statline), novitiate scouts (75, old 40k scout statline), specialists are gunners for the usual 10 points on top of a trooper.

Oddly, all scouts get Move 5, rather than the human standard 4.

ATSKNF makes them immune to fear and terror and can always test to recover from pinning.

They get the same grenades and miscellaneous gear that the guard do for the same prices, except they can get photo-visors for 15 points.

HtH weapon options and prices are identical to guard.

Can get shotguns, boltguns and sniper rifles on everyone for the same price as the guard.

Heavybolter is 180, missile launcher is 175/190/225

Space Wolf scouts can also get flamers, plasma guns and melta guns at guard prices, but can not take novitiate scouts.

Not sure exactly what ork points or rules are yet, but seem to be slightly cheaper than guard for boyz. Yoofs are WS 3, A 1, everyone else's stats as per the 40k version. Think shoota is 20 points.

And another thing:

Commissar: comes with bolt pistol, chainsword, frag and krak grenades and flak armour. May exchange bolt pistol for plasma pistol, may exchange chainsword for power sword or power fist.

Special rule(s): Models may use its leadership when within 6" and may escape pinning early. Also, if a commissar is part of the team you automatically pass all bottle tests, whether you want to or not.

Enginseer: Same as Skitarii list.

Ogryn: comes with ripper gun, frag grenades and flak armour. May exchange flak armour for carapace armour(!) and may exchange the ripper gun for either a grenadier gauntlet & slabshield or power maul and brute shield.

Special rule(s): Generate a Muscle skill when you recruit the model and when taken out by the enemy, the enemy gains an additional promethium cache.

Militarum Tempestus Scion: comes with a lasgun with hotshot laser power pack, red-dot laser sight, photo-visor, frag and krak grenades and carapace armour. May exchange lasgun for one of the following: flamer, grenade launcher with frag and krak grenades, meltagun or plasma gun.

Special rule: Injury rolls for shooting attacks may be re-rolled.

Scouts are universally the same*, the only real difference is that the six chapters listed (Sons of Guilleman, Blood Angels, Salamanders, White Scars, Space Wolves and Angels of Redemption) all have their own sets of skill types available, akin to how the old Necromunda gangs all had their own niche of skills they could pick from.

* It's only when you pick Space Wolves that the team is somewhat differently, as their scouts are hardcore veterans and not rookies. The Space Wolf kill team loses access to the cheaper noviate scout entry, but gain access to flamers, plasma guns and meltaguns for their gunners.

Imperial Guard gets to pick from three regiments when it comes to skills: Cadians, Catachans and the Steel Legion.

Oh that's pretty neat actually. Surprised they just do that for the Scouts and Guard. I'm looking into making a CSM list myself. They seem like a great mix of different types of fighters.

"Sold Out" status has been removed from the online store entry worldwide, so chances are soon it'll go up for either pre-order again or a "Notify Me" option will be added so people will get a mail the moment it becomes available again.

A community update: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2017/04/05/shadow-war-armageddon-rules-support/

Shadow War: Armageddon – Rules Support

So, it turns out that a lot of you are really keen to get your hands on Shadow War: Armageddon.

The new boxed game of skirmish warfare, set in the industrial sprawl of an Imperial hive world, went on sale last weekend. We had known this would be a popular game, combining elements of the classic Necromunda rules set with some fantastic new Warhammer 40,000 modular terrain, but we hadn’t expected the demand to be as high as it was – the box sold out online within minutes.

There will be copies in stores this weekend, but again, we are expecting demand to be high, and this might still leave some of you who were keen to play, with no way of getting your hands on the rules.

Don’t worry though – we we have some good news for you.

We will be making the rules for this game are more widely available, very soon.

Not only that, but following requests we’ve received throughout this week, our rules team are also looking to expand the number of playable factions in the game.

We’ll bring you news on exactly how and when you’ll be able to get ahold of the rules outside of the box, and the new factions, just as soon as we can.

For those of you who were keen to get your hands on the terrain content from the box, the new modular Sector Mechanicus scenery pieces will be available separately, and you can pre-order those kits this weekend. These work really well as Warhammer 40,000 scenery pieces for any war zone, and they can combine together to create some really spectacular battlefields.

So, whether it’s the rules for the game or the scenery you’re after, you will be able to get your hands on it.

More news soon.

Vehicles are not an option no, but you can always build one as scenery or an objective.

Rocket Girl and Ox wouldn't be possible (as for some reason, the Imperial Guard is not allowed to use heavy weapons), but aside from that, almost every other model should more or less be able to see action with the current rules.

From the community site: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2017/04/09/shadow-war-armageddon-the-rules-available-soon/

In short, a reprint is happening and will go up for pre-order on the 22nd. This reprint will also include all of the kill team lists found on the GW site, plus two new ones: the Inquisition and Sisters of Battle.

Quote:
Great news for those of you after a copy of the rules for Shadow War: Armageddon.

Following the unprecedented demand for this game, our book team have thrown themselves into creating a new rulebook you’ll be able to order separately. Not content just to make the book a copy of the one that appears in the boxed game, though, they have also added in all the extra content too: all the factions that have had their rules published as PDFs will be included. And, following numerous requests we’ve received from the community (that’s you), we’ll be adding in two new factions – the Battle Sisters of the Adepta Sororitas and warbands from the Inquisition.

How cool is that?

The book will be available to pre-order on Saturday the 22nd of April.

The pre-order will last a few weeks, rather than the usual 7 days, to give us time to print and ship the new books. We’re also making a digital edition of this new book, giving you yet another choice on how to get your copy, which will also be available to pre-order that same weekend.
