"Ya can, but it's not like I was here jus' for them or nothin'." She had been, but now she was feeling self-conscious about it. "We ain't even friends." Preacher shot Nasir a bright grin and popped his phone number into her phone. Then she sent him a poop emoji.

"Thanks 'gain, Nasir. I'll see ya n' Trouble 'round."

A skillet emoji was sent right back, along with something that might have been nachos. Who knew. It was emojis.

"You're welcome, Preacher!" Nasir said with smile, walking with her to the door. "Come by any time if you want." ... he would also just agree with the statement that she wasn't friends with Alexis. It wasn't something he'd ever argue.

Except she probably kind of was Alexis's friend.

Either way, he waved her goodbye as she left.
