Elio took the answer at face value. Pokemon wasn't a game he played, but it was popular, and even he knew of it and how it worked. For a tiny device like a 3DS to have sent a signal meant at the time it had wi-fi and power so in theory? In theory it would have been a fairly accurate way of tracking the other hunter down with relative reliability. Mark and Dwight had perhaps the most unsuspecting method of communication across the globe and in a twisted way that probably no one sane would have used but there you had it. Holding up the one charger in hand, the Italian sighed a little. It hardly bode well. "If he was using a 3DS I have located a charger." It was sandy, (like everything else), and possibly left behind. "When did you last get signal?"Walking in the sand was hellish up a dune, and he almost yelled when he felt something touch his leg. Either way he face planted into sand for a good day's worth of sodium content.

How many of the people presented actaully cared about Dwight, the petite Death mused. Maybe they don't know the man in person so they didn't feel the urgency about it. However, she really really didn't want to see another person she know died somehow and she could do nothing about it. "Hi Joy." That was why Joy would see her frowing in concern. "Not really, just got a morse code." Shu was busy looking around, suddenly she bent down and began to dig. The small item she found was a cellphone. In rush, she used her clothes to clean up the dirty screen which played something. The quality of it was awful but it carries an important message. " Everyone, I believe it's the famine. Please be watchful. We need to find Mr. Dwight before it's too late." She put the cellphone into her bag as it was an important clue. The hint that they might encounter the horsemen made her uneasy. Those enemies were hostile and cruel. Quote: 6. You find a beat up cellphone. It is still working and begins to play a clip. Only the sound is working on it, the video too pixellated, and it is just someone faintly shouting "FAMINE CL-"

"What does the charger look like?" There was the sound of shuffling on the headset, and then the sound of Mark's voice much closer to the microphone. "Does it have a name written on it - wait, do you see another 3DS lying around?"

Ace walked around and soon spotted Jason and his new friend. "No thanks. I have enough." The tall Sun hunter smiled for Kai's kindness. "Hey Jason, find anything? What do you think of the new Death lead? I seem to hear game music and his mentioning of 3DS." He chuckled under his scarf and gave a glance at Kai's coat. "Trainee as well?" He found a laptop no longer working and arched an eyebrow at it. Really? Bringing a laptop into desert? "Won't its signal affected by the sandstorm?" Quote: 2: You find a broken, beat up laptop. It hasn't been running for a while

Elio riffled through a pocket trying to find the sandy charger. "It is 3DS charger in dessert when Man Dwight last been. Is gray and sandy." He scoffed. "Who else has would have pokemon in middle of desert? Scorpions?"As he crossed over thye dune, he saw a line of shadow- and as he slide down the edge- "I do not see game, I see cave. Not same, but, maybe close." He'd given up on English, reverting to Italian. "< This is where we die because zubats isn't it>?" zoobey I'm cackling rn @ roll and my joke okay sue me

"Looking for a man who likes being naked in a thong, huh? Now I know why you like this guy." Caroline was playfully nudging Mimsy with her elbow, sincerely trying her hardest to be friendly and failing spectacularly at it. This was the horrifying conversation that a flustered Mimsy was eager to escape at the first sight of Lucky, hurrying ahead to close the distance between them. "Hello!" She was a bit breathless from either running, relief at the sight of him, or both. His news of the DS charger was met with a thoughtful pause, before her mind made a connection that was shaky at best. "Mark is playing Pokemon Sun or Moon," she helpfully offered, pleased to have recognized the music. "The charger might be his, if he was already present here. He can be careless." Someone received a sidelong glance as she finally caught up. "Alternatively...perhaps he is playing one version, and Dwight the other, which would potentially confirm that Dwight was here. I suppose that we were already aware of this..." She trailed off, realizing that Lucky was definitely aware of how useless his discovery was. Caroline busied herself with examining the charger on her own, and ended up with exactly zero new information. They shared an awkward silence, which turned out to be useful - Mimsy picked up a faint beeping, and retrieved a transmitter beneath the sand nearby, extending it towards Lucky as she listened. This must have been the same code that someone had already asked about, which Caroline had spoken over (supposedly by accident) and prevented her from hearing. "The Morse translates to: base overrun send help." Having recognized the inquiring voice as Shu's, she added a gentle acknowledgement. "Please be careful."

"Wait, if it's Famine, then why the heck did Dwight leave me a ditto." Why Mark was trying to make everything into a Pokemon analogy was a little confusing out of context, especially since he meant it quite literally. There was a pause. "Um, if you find Dwight, can you ask him what his favourite uh, RP character is, you know, just in case, you know like, preferably before you rescue him."

"Hey, Elio was it? What kind of cave are we looking at bro? Just um, just don't go too far and you know, if you see anything that looks sort of, horsemany you should probably say something."
The cave itself was nearly impossible to get into, a wind funnel continuously howling in front of it. The inside seemed quite abandoned, with the exception of insects, impossibly large, iridescent scarab beetles and scorpions covering every inch of the low ceiling when Elzo finally looked up.

Elio didn't answer Mark at first, finding it as pointless as he found things from the death division to often be. But when one walks into a cave after deal with sand blowing in his face because of goddamn wind and how air worked and they saw a metric ******** ton of insects? "Bugs. Too many. I regret trusting you."His headset thankfully fell slightly to the side which was probably for everyone's benefit as Elio screamed loudly when he realize that it could rain bugs on him and said bugs would be all over him. Why bugs? Why sand? Why this? Being Life was suffering.

Meanwhile, Marcus was adjusting his coat as needed and meandering around looking and watching over most of the hunters with a vague detached sense of moon protectiveness.
He was waiting for someone to find Dwight locked in a bathroom or somewhere on base and they all get called back because he just anticipated that sort of thing happening, pokemon location be damned.

Humming softly under her breath, Gretchen got herself a headset before heading through the portal, only to get blasted by hot wind and a whole lot of sand. The differences in temperature were jarring, and it took a long moment for the Death trainee to even begin to acclimate to the heat that closed in around them all like a glove. She coughed, yanking her scarf away, before a blast of sandy wind to the face had her reconsidering that course. It was better left up, as protection, regardless of the heat. And boy, was it hot. It was also not the easiest to move around on with only one good leg. The sand shifted around under her feet, and her balance just wasn't where it should have been. It took a bit, and a lot of staggering, to get even remotely used to it, and in the end she'd let out a startled yelp as she slipped on the edge of a dune as they were exploring, and wound up rolling right into a half hidden cave. Dragging her scarf down again as she pushed her hair out of her face, Gretchen got back to her feet, then moved to hit the com on her headset. "Mark, I fond a cave, at the bottom of a steep dune to the west of the camp."---------- Liam was equally unprepared for the level of heat that met him on the other side of the portal. He'd thought the island was bad, humid and hot, but this? This was like being dry roasted. He pulled his googles down as he wandered a slow circle around the abandoned looking camp, tested his headset to make sure it was working, and then headed out to search with the others. Though he did pause once, grinning brightly as he waved at Caroline and Mimsy as they passed him. It was maybe half an hour later when he finally spoke up, voice a little uncertain over the headsets. "I've also got a cave."---------- Having been around the block a few times, Zeke was prepared as he left the cold of the island for the heat of the Sahara, and gave only the barest grimace as he eyed his barren and all too familiar surroundings. Lagertha whined at the back of his mind, retreating back as far as their link would allow her, and the Mist couldn't blame her. This was where she'd been broken, where he and the rest of his team had almost died. It won't be the same as last time, Laggy. There were a lot more of them this time around, for one thing. { There is no guaranteeing that, boil.} She had a point, of course, but Zeke wasn't sure what else he could say to try to comfort her. Lips stretched in a thin line, he moved with the rest of the group, spreading out to search. After a few moments, the toe of his boot hit something as he trudged through the sand. When he bent to dig it up, he gave a curious hum. "Got a laptop here, it looks like it's still running."zoobeyxxx All three of them found things! <3

There had been the warning about Horsemen earlier but with Shu's discovery, it looks like they had a clearer idea of which clan it was. "Famine Horsemen look like what? Do they got like, lots of feathers? Because the Jungle Horsemen had lots of feathers on them. Some even looked like they had butt-wings."
As she continued to dig around, she ended up finding more water bottles. And these ones were unused. She opened her satchel and figured one or two more couldn't hurt.
"Hey, we got some extra water bottles here if you need 'em!" she called out.Quote: 3. You find a box of water bottles, unused. Maybe they'll come in use later?

"Good to know," Lin said. "Thanks." It was unclear as to whether or not this comment was sarcastic. She started searching in and around the ruins of the camp, occasionally taking sips from the water bottle clipped to her backpack. She found nothing in the camp itself, but outside the perimeter there was something that seemed like it might be significant. "I've also found a cave," she reported over the headset. The mouth of the cave was low, nearly buried in sand, but she felt a cool draft from within. That suggested that there was space within.

Kimberly jumped through the portal with her headset then sighed a bit as she noticed just how popular Ace was. That is what I was trying to tell you fool, don't get your hopes up for any reason, he is likely teasing you.Her nod was half to Chinthliss and half to herself as she untied the scarf from around her leg and tied it around her face so she could breath through the sand. At least the brief training stint from before had taught her that much, in between Otto yelling. She then started to look around, grateful the scarf could hide the slight dissapointment and envy on her face at the way Ace got along so well with everyone. One thing she was enjoying was the random pokemon music, it made her want to break out her cell phone and start playing. As if reading her thoughts she came across another cell phone. "Hnn? Hey look at this.." She switched on the phone and peered at the strange pixels trying to see between them. Pointless though since she could only hear the voice. "Famine Close...?" She looked around. "s**t.. this is likely a trap!" She jumped to her feet and looked all around for any sign of where a famine horseman could hide.. realizing of course ANYWHERE was the correct answer. Empty bottles.. jackets.. left behind supplies and personal items.. No this was not good at all. She turned to say something again to Ace but he seemed to be in the middle of everyone else now. She grit her teeth a bit and moved a little closer, still watching her footing so she wouldn't fall into some trap should there be any. Give it up Kimberly, just move one and deal with the fact that you belong in the cell you put yourself in. Train, become strong and be solo.. you went to the dungeon for a room for a reason after all.Her stomach turned at Chinthliss' words. Meegane razz Pity party... table for one please. "Is there anything in the cave other than bugs?" Mark had a slight affinity with certain insects and didn't see why there was such an issue usually (unless it included spiders). "Like oh, I dunno, like maybe a hidden staircase, a corridor, Dwight maybe."
The swarm of insects at the entrance of the cave were oddly stationary, shifting time to time against each other but not stationed for any offensive attack. If any of the four around the cave moved further in, they could easily tell it was a lot larger than it seemed, but also impossible to see without any form of heavy light. The cave was also very damp, and there was a strange hissing noise that could barely, very faintly, be picked up from time to time, and then the sound of very rapid footsteps.
"Can you boot up the laptop, guy with laptop?" Mark had no clue who Zeke was. "Check if it's still working and who it belongs to."
The laptop did boot, but it unfortunately just lead to a password locked screen.
