Noah leaned subtly on Al, needing a little reassurance after having been unsettled twice in two different ways in rapid succession. He noticed Kai's stare and pushed his plate a little away from himself, the universal unspoken signal for I'm not gonna eat it.
"We're intermediates," he answered the question. "Not full hunters yet. One more promotion."
Mik got another brief, skittish glance.

Al gently rubbed Noah's arm furthest from him. An attempt at reassurance. It was okay. It would be nice.
He smiled at Mik, a curious glint in his eyes. "So Mik, does that mean you are looking for a girlfriend then, orrr?..."

He raised his hands up slowly. "Damn. My bad. Didn't know." He lowered his hands back down, taking Noah's hint that he was done and just eeeeaaassssiiinnnggg that plate over to him.
It wasn't like it fell on the floor so it was still in good condition - he just had to not think about where that mouth had been.
"Or?" What the hell was OR?

"Im not looking for either." Mik said. "I'm looking for "cute times"" he polished off his burger. "Sex without relationships. America said I should be honest so I am."

There was no objection to the plate being taken; it had been fully relinquished. Noah would get something else to eat later. Probably something that didn't involve meat, despite his comment about vegetarianism being weird.
Laz made a gluey sound of disdain in his mind.
He stayed quiet, his eyes darting from Mik to Al, with a brief, vaguely embarrassed glance to Kai as well.

Al watched Kai make off with Noah's burger curiously. So much for trying to distract Kai from the table temporarily. "You know, they would probably let you take a separate desert plate." No one could blame him for trying anyway.
At Mik's answer, Noah got a lil nudge and a, "see?" Al tried to keep Noah's eyes on the prize.

He smiled as the Rainbow Bright just stated he wanted to get laid. "Sounds like you don't want the drama." Or to deal with any kids.
He couldn't help notice Al and Noah glancing at each other and Noah looking sad. "Dude, it's okay if you can't finish a burger." No shame in a small stomach.

Noah sputtered a little, startled out of his thoughts. "I'm, it's just, there was, I'm not hungry." He couldn't explain his sudden lack of appetite without explaining things he absolutely did not want to explain, he realized.
He nudged Al lightly with his elbow, trying to convey by this inadequate method of communication that they should talk about that later, not in front of everyone. Or just not in front of some stranger, anyway.

Mikael wasn't sure if this Noah guy was a mute or something but he wasn't saying much and he had to assume it was out of either embarrassment about something or the fact that the food was a bit dodgy.
"Yeah I don't like drama." he said to Kai with a big smile. "I like simple nice times without people getting too much! Sandcastle building friends, not for ever friends."
He didn't seem too bothered though by Al's comments.

"Hey." Al nudged Noah with his side. He turned his head to him and looked him in the eyes as a final attempt at soothing the man. "You okay? Want to talk... in private?"

"Oh." Kai said to Noah, not having wanted to make him more upset and leaving it at that. It wasn't a big deal anyways, and so he looked over at Mik since it seems Al and Noah were having some sort of thing going on.
"Sandcastle friends? That what they call it. Gotta remember that one. Got alot of numbers then? Anyone I should know?"

" ... okay." Noah ducked his head a little. He probably did owe it to Al to explain why he got so weird about food lately. It would be a relief to explain, maybe.

"Not a lot of numbers no." Mik said, looking a little crestfallen. "I put up lots of posters but no one has really been interested." He resigned himself to talking to Kai, feeling a little awkward around Al and Noah when Noah was being quiet and withdrawn and Al was mostly doing some sort of wink wink nudge nudge thing he couldn't place.
He felt pretty tetchy if he was honest and it was only when he thought about this that he realised that Fenrir was snarling, low and wary. Everything smelled /bad/. It smelled like something he hated and his hackles simply would not come down.
"I want to get myself a lady sometime too so I can impress my brother."

Since Noah and Al seemed into something, Kai focused on Mik and a lot more comfortable scene.
"Posters? Don't we got hookup apps here? Any clubs or somethin." Why did this guy had to put up posters like a lost dog?
"Ah so some real hottie to make him jealous?"

Al took Noah by the hand and stood, "We're going to get desserts. Anyone got any requests?"
He looked at Mik and smiled, "Don't go anywhere. Assuming your offer from before is still on the table, I'd like to do that very soon." He meant like, now, or yesterday. But, Noah was an important cog and if he was struggling with it then, well, not as today as Al wanted it. Alas.
He looked back to Noah and smiled at him encouragingly, he could lead the way.
