Umbra's eye shone brighter still at the Bunnelby's words, the equivalent of a ghostly twitch. ">War? WAR!?<" The Golett bellowed, his voice surprisingly harsh as his fist once more began to crackle and spark ">You think me afraid!? Listen here, I slay dragons!<" Without another word the Golett would bring down his massive fist in a heavy swing. This Bunnelby knew not the horrors or difficulty of war, but he was about to learn the sorrow of defeat!
Starter Pokemon: Golett Name & Level: Umbra, Lv 3 [Temperament] Brave Bio: Shaped from clay and given life centuries ago, this Golett was created with a singular purpose: to serve the people of his homeland. In times of peace that meant simple feats of strength, hauling limber and iron. In times of war...acts far more grim in nature. His last images of a world long lost to the sands of time, were of his comrades and redness of flame. Then....darkness.
When he rose again it was to the shattered ruins of what once was, and the broken forms of other Golett. He wandered the remains of the castle for a time, but departed before long. There was no point in protecting a land which had been forgotten by the ages, and so he went in search of a new "purpose". It was this same search that would lead him to the tunnels beneath Roshan City. A veritable maze, the tunnels see frequent use by smugglers and those of less than legal enterprises. It was here that he encountered Sol, and where he found purpose once more. Dubbed "Umbra" by the boy, he once more found himself with a home and people to serve; but in his ticking "heart" he knew it was only a matter of time before he once more graced the battlefield.
Nim would run, and the Cubchoo would give chase. Sadly for the Ice-type's stubby little bear legs were no match for the human girl's tremendous speed. Running after her the Cubchoo's paws would tangle, and stumbling, it would fall with a small thud...closely followed by a sneeze. Snow flickered down in thick flakes as the Cubchoo watched her go with sadness in it's eyes. The big fluffy hanky was getting away.

It seemed Altair's appearance hadn't gone unnoticed. From crouched atop rocks came a piercing stare; a Sneasel watched the student warily. Humans! All these humans on his mountain! Why did this keep happening?!
He made no effort to hide himself as Altair drew closer. He'd been here first, after all. The Sneasel's body was coiled and tensed, ready to attack at the first sign of aggression... but not before then. If Altair wished to pass by, he could... but maybe he wanted to make a fuss.

((7+2+2)-7)+(11-6) = 9 DMG! Bunnelby is at -8 HP! Umbra gains 34 EXP! 17/100 -> 51/100
The counter worked wonders, as had apparently the Bunnelby's taunt. Umbra's punch neatly cracked the rabbit's head in two, leaving behind a body twitching mindlessly in the snow. Blood and viscera poured out over the pristine white landscape as the Bunnelby's eyes glazed over. Seemed like they'd gotten a war after all.

Nim was too busy panicking to realize the Cubchoo had stopped his chase. Instead, she was more focused on running, yelping in horror as she bounced. No hugs! No hugs from sick bears!

Starter Pokemon: Mimikyu [F] Name & Level: Eins, Level 3 [Temperament] Lonely Bio: Eins spent most of her pre-capture time haunting a candy store and sneaking free lollipops into the pockets of screaming children. She'd have been content to stay that way but for the will of the cult. Indeed, she was actually caught by Nim's sponsor, and given to the girl in an attempt to give her a step up when it came to fighting. The sponsor also has a slightly better sense of humor than Nim-- giving a Mimikyu a Mimikyu! No one could count on Nim's dislike of Pokémon being quite as... intense as it was, for the girl can barely stand to look at her starter. Nim couldn't even name the creature properly, just giving it a number for a name. For her part, Eins isn't too fussed; humans are strange, and she'll melt her trainer's heart one way or another... possibly by giving it a heart attack, but still. Stats: HP:17/17/PP:18/ATK:12/DEF:9/SPD:11/SP-ATK:8/SP-DEF:12 - Wood Hammer - X-Scissor - Copycat - Curse EXP: 0/100 Pokemon held items: N/A
Trafalgar was stunned. Not only did his last minute effort to redirect the Pinsir work...but...worst of all, the Bounsweet was scared off in what looked like absolute terror for the Pokemon. He had really liked the Pokemon too. Unfortunate. Really, Trafalgar stood there in shock for a long time. "Trust..what...just happened." Trafalgar asked.
Trust could not help but laugh, understanding the gist of the situation. It had played out in a sense...perfectly? She let out a few more laughters. /Don't worry about it. Let's just move on.../ Trust sighed.
Trafalgar given no real explanation...sighed. "Boy..oh boy. What an adventure this is becoming...Pokemon are so unpredictable!" He sighed, but still relieved the encounter was over.

The sparks died as Umbra lowered his fist. He wouldn't even bother looking at the blood smeared upon his hand. Instead the ghost would step towards a pile of snow, using it to clean the blood off before continuing forward. In all the hustle and bustle of combat he'd forgotten to drop the backpack; thankfully however nothing seemed damaged.
Sol meanwhile would whistle "Nice work Umbra!" He ssaid with a cheerful grin. Not that he enjoyed carnage or death, but the child was an opportunist. Ah but he didn't have a knife or anything. Bunnelby fur made good boots...or maybe a wallet. Heck if he could cut off just the feet; people loved those for keychains! Goodluck nonsense and all that. Not like it was lucky for the Bunnelby though.
Ah well maybe another time. Sure Umbra could probably rip the foot off, but that was messy and tended to ruin the product.
His inspection of the kill done, the boy and his ghost would continue on through the snow. There was money to be made out here somewhere!

Travelling deeper into the mountains...or was it further out from?...it was hard to tell really...the Sol would find they yielded neither money nor Pokemon. Just snow. A lot of snow. Man if only gold fell from the sky like this stuff...actually no that'd hurt...and seriously impact the value.

Adernaline fadin, Nim slowed down to a quick jog, shivering and wishing she had a better top. This one was pretty worn, and while it was almost dry, she would have preferred blankets. Blankets in bed.
Eins was all too happy to slow down. Not that she MINDED a race, buuuut she was a sprinter, not a marathon runner. Also, she didn't really have legs, and it was hard to run and keep her rags on.

Trafalgar was replaying the events so far in his head...first..had had been dropped from a helicopter, pushed actually, by a Noctowl! Then he encountered a talking Chatot, battled a Seedot, and met an angry Pinsir and a crying Bounsweet. This forest will filled to the brim with strange Pokemon. It reminded him that he needed to...catch a Pokemon!
Man...there was a lot of walking to do. You'd think they'd provide some kind of transportation unit...but no, Trafalgar was left to fend for himself! It was overall...just not the way to treat the heir to the throne of the Olympius family! He would have to complain to the academy board when he got back...and what about the meal that he wanted in the beginning? He was still hungry!
Trafalgar may have forgotten as he made his way down the trunk of the tree, but he had in fact given away the meal his Professor had so graciously provided. Perhaps that was a thought for another time however, as the child past what may well have been the last of the branches of this mighty tree, he would come face to face with a bright red Cherubi. With eyes gleaming like the stars, it gave a delighted cry at the sight of the human. ">Golly gee MISTER! Did you manage to get all the way down the tree!? But there;s big ole scary bug things up there! Mama said so!<" The Pokemon called out, clearly filled with glee at the sight of something as 'strange' as a human. ">How'd you even get up there mister? I didn't see you walk up! Did you fly? CAN HUMANS FLY!?<" It asked, swinging back and forth on it's branch like an excited child. It would seem the boy had encountered a piece of low hanging fruit.

It seemed like the opportunity to fulfill his half of his mission would come sooner than expected. In Altair's eyes, this sneasel was a perfect fit; a pokemon that was not only strong but in tune with the essence of the night. He knew how he was supposed to go about this, but he was willing to try a less traditional approach first if it meant saving him the hassle.
The boy made eye contact with the sneasel, kneeling down on the snow in an attempt to prove that he meant no harm. One arm on the ground supporting him and the other over his knees, he was making it clear that he didn't have any tricks up his sleeve either. If the pokemon wanted a fight, he'd gladly reciprocate, but for now he'd try and earn his trust instead. [1/10]

/Howdy there, handsome,/ a low, feminine voice purred. Worryingly, it emanated from a tiny Smoochum, who lay on her side, propping her head up with head up with one flipper. /I saw how you beat that rascally Bunnelby, Mistuh Ghost~/ she said, winking at Umbra. /A thing like that... why, you've got my duck all roasting! I feel like a Fire-type! C'mon, big fella, and give Mama some sugar!~/ Like that, the Smoochum flung herself at Umbra, flippers wide open, and lips pursed.
