For some reason, Amaranth would see the same Krabby scuttling along. She still decided to leave it be, hoping that it wasn't about to become hostile as she quickened her pace along the beach.

"So, there's a hodgepodge in here then. Some of the familiar, some of the bizarre, and some of the in between. Great." I said to myself. I would soon take a break, sitting up against a tree, looking at my SNAG and trying to figure out what else may show up in this forest. As I looked on, I took notice to the Yungoos coming out of some nearby foliage, staring me down for a second and started to get aggressive, rearing back and giving a hiss.
"I wouldn't try that." I said. "Trust me, it's not in your best interest." The staredown would last a while until the Yungoos finally backed down and went about its business. "Smart."

I continued to examine the newer dex entries in the SNAG, and apparently there wasn't as many as I was hoping. Though that said, that probably was me being greedy a little. There were still quite an assortment of creatures that were added that I wouldn't mind meeting one of these days...though if I wanted to better my odds at that one...I would have to go to the one place I probably don't want to go to, second only to my 'joy' that I have in going to Orre.
A buzzing sound was heard close by, I looked up in the tree above me and saw, what initially seemed to be a yellow speck, but closer look showed different. "I just saw that thing a minute ago..." I said, looking back down. "Cutiefly...huh...Telia would be all over that. Probably Cera as well...eh...then again, Cera thought a Tyrannitar was cute, so maybe I should count that." I said, continuing on with my search through the SNAG.

AIle would stare out at the beach, bringing her large, wide brimmed hat down hard onto her head. "Is this really wise for me to do? I mean, they're here... Eisley, what do you think?" She 'd look down at the Excadrill that was at her side, the Excadrill tilting his head.
"Exca..... Ca!" He'd raise a claw in the air triumphantly as he got an idea. "Ex ca exca. Ex ca exca!" He got onto all fours as he crawled onto the ground, miming putting something over him.
"Eisley, unless you have a box, I don't think that'll work for being incognito.... Also, where did you put my copy of that game? Last I saw it, I was putting the disk away. And you like shiny things."
"Ex... ca... EXCA!" The mole ran off rapidly, leaving his trainer to chase after him as fast as she could on the sand.

After enough of a break, I stood back up and dusted myself off. I couldn't just sit there and wait for the Pokemon to come to me. Well...technically I could, but I doubted that there would be anything that I'd go for here. I already saw Yungoos and a Cutiefly here, and I had my doubts that there was much else in that spot. I'd have to try another part of the forest.
After getting up, I waded through some bushes and made my way off into another part of the woods, taking note to an Exeggcute close by. "This place seems to run between new and familiar...its like I stepped into the Kanto Safari Zone then stepped into the twilight zone and back again." I said, continuing onward and leaving the eggs be.

[Side Area A - Beach]
The Krabby didn't seem to stop following Amaranth, still scuttling alongside her. She'd finally stop, ready to ask what it wanted. Before she could ask it proper, she'd get a pinch as it snapped one of its pincers on her ankle. A yelp was heard as she jumped and stepped back, panicking a bit as she sent her Pidgey back out. "What was that for!?" She finally asked, pointing at the Krabby.
Thankfully, Pidgey would swoop down to smack Krabby with Wing Attack rather than going for a third Shadow Rush, catching the territorial crab offguard. The impact would cause it to spit out some water along the sand, enough for it to counter with a Mud Shot once it got the chance. However, Pidgey would simply take back into the air, evading the attack and glaring.
"No... Pidgey, that's enoug-" Unfortunately, Amaranth wouldn't be able to get Pidgey to listen at the moment, choosing now to strike back with that third Shadow Rush. Krabby ended up tumbling backwards from the attack, suddenly scared out its wits and running away while it still had a chance. Though Pidgey would try to go after it to finish what she started, she'd end up being stopped as Amaranth pulled the bird into her arms.
"I said, that's enough! Please, just calm down, it's running away..." She said, sighing as she took out a small bag of Energy Powder and tried to get Pidgey to take it. Bitter as it was, she figured it was best to deal with her wounds now. It'd take a while before she'd manage to get Pidgey to consume the powder, let alone recall her and resume looking around the beach.

I checked my watch, realizing a good bit of time went by since I touched down on this island and while I did find some newer faces about, they weren't something that I was going to go out of the way for. For that matter, I was burning daylight and I still had every intention on getting my Pokemon some training. Perhaps I should have picked a fight with those Yungoos and Cutiefly earlier. At the very least, the Exeggcute. Hmm...
My instincts tripped and something was making a beeline right for me. "The hell?" A loud call, a Spearow was making an approach. "Geez, you're in idiot!" I said, stepping off to the side, taking out a Pokeball. Well, I guess I'll get some of that training after all. "Go! Cubchoo!" I called out. I tossed out the Pokeball and in a flash, out came the snow white bear out for battle.
"Cub--*achoo*---chaaa..." The bear spoke up, its long snot making its way out practically immediately.
"Ugh, I can never get over that. Cubchoo! That thing, the spearow! Here it comes!" The Spearow was making another pass, rushing down at the bear. "Cubchoo! Use Icy Wind!" I called out.
"CHAAA!" The bear roared out, its roar more like a high drawn out squeal, unleashing a biting wind upon the bird, deterring the Spearow quite a bit, but then continued on its assault. The bird then flew above the bear, clawing away with its talons, then started pecking away with its Fury attack. "CUBCHAAA!" The bear squealed out in panic, not wanting to battle anymore.
"Cubchoo! No, you need to stand your ground! This isn't going to get any better unless you stand up and have at it! You don't need to be pushed around like that! Now! Fight back! Headbutt!" I called out. The Cubchoo was hunched over, trying to cover its head from the relentless bird's assault, then Cubchoo in a blind rush, jumped up and smacked the bird head on, driving the bird back some. The Spearow ended up having to land, shaking its head a bit. Apparently that headbutt made it stagger quite a bit, witnessed by its flinching.
"Cubchoo! Another Icy Wind!"
"CHAA!" The bear howled out again, unleashing another gale towards the Spearow.
The spearow took more of the stinging ice that started to bite away through its feathery down then decided to turn around and run for it. "Not too tough now was it?" I said. "See Cubchoo, how hard was that?"
"Chaaa...?"

For some reason, Amaranth would hear a bunch of flopping in the sand. A quick turn revealed a Magikarp splashing around, trying and failing to get back to the water. Picking it up, she'd toss it back in and resume her searching.

The Magikarp toss from earlier would get the Goldeen's attention, splashing back out of the water momentarily. Nothing else would happen, thankfully, allowing Amaranth to just keep to what she was doing.

"Just hang tight for the moment, alright. We're getting you some exercise."
"Cub chaaaa..."
"What?" The bear would look around. Unknown place, easy to get lost. Wasn't settling this bear's nerves any. "Cubchoo, seriously we've been over this, there's nothing wrong here, alright? I found it an opportunity to get you some experience out in the field instead of just hanging around in the headquarters all the time. Now come on."
The bear would stick close by as I marched forward keeping an eye out for any more unwanted Spearow. Though as I went along, I noticed that we go from a aggro Spearow, to virtually the proverbial Pidgey of the Alolan region. A Pikipek if I saw the dex entry right. "Huh, did you know that thing can evolve into apparently the most angry looking bird you ever seen? Seriously, the picture I saw was a bird that seen some crap.
"Cub chaaaa..."
"Oh grow up."

The chase would continue on, despite a Goldeen popping it's head out and squirting some water at Eisley, annoyed at the excited Excadrill.

We left the Pikipek be, continuing on through the forest and my senses out there to make sure we were not going to get blindsided by another Spearow, or perhaps something worse. I didn't want to pick a fight with that Pikipek. In fact, It wasn't like I was going to try to entice the wrath of every Pokemon here, that'd be just stupid. Otherwise I may not get the opportunity to capture a Pokemon if the opportunity arises.
I moved on, taking note to yet another Yungoos. They must be dotted all around in this area. A nest is probably nearby come to think of it as many as I've seen in such a short period. I don't know them well enough to know if these guys run in a pack, but I don't want to take that chance with Cubchoo. Just as many others, I would opt to leave it alone for the moment.

Aile would stop for a moment in her chase, having gotten a bit closer to her Excadrill with his waddling, and noticed the Wishiwashi jumping out of the water. "What on earth is that?..."
"Exca!!!!!"
"Oh, bother, can't focus on that now." The woman would press the hat down on her head as she continued on after Eisley

I had the feeling at one point or another I may have to end up taking out a Yungoos or two, one way or another. I may want to have Scizor at the ready just in case if that were to be it. The other two Pokemon that I brought out to get a few battles in, Torchic and Mudkip, wouldn't be able to take an entire onslaught of them, unlike Scizor.
"Cub...chaaaa?"
"What is it n-oh geez, Cubchoo, quit that!" I said, making my way to the bear and dragging it away There, Cubchoo was trying to poke at a Pokemon, sleeping...or...was it. I couldn't tell. One of the Pokemon I saw in the SNAG's Dex, a Komala. These things are misleading. Though, considering that it didn't smack the hell out of Cubchoo, I guess it might just be out...or its very tolerant. I didn't know. "Sorry about that..."
"Chaaa...."
"You're turning out to be a handful, you know?"
"Cubchaa." Its ears folded down a little.
I gave a bit of a hard sigh. "Its fine...it's fine...just, seriously, a little discretion would be nice."
"Cubcha?"
"Discretion. Caution. You know...never mind, come on." I said, walking off.

"Eisley! Get back here!" Aile would once again begin to catch up to the Excadrill, who was now panting heavily and resting before taking off again, completely ignoring the Staryu that washed up on shore.
