Lopezite grumbled under his breath, mostly because someone had seen his poor footing. Leucite, of course. If it had been any of the others, it probably wouldn't have mattered. Still, at least he knew where the rest of the group was--and what the plan was.

He didn't even bother to brush himself off; instead, he kept running.

He didn't want to be near that youma--or at the focus of Leucite's wrath.

Stibnite could only grunt through her clinched teeth as she moved with Leucite. One of those damn youma had managed to get a shot on her. With her speed she had missed the major blow but it had still sliced her side. The bleeding was worse than the would but damnit it stung.

Had she not been trying to keep from cursing with every step, Stibnite most likely would have been chewing out the 'students'. A team? No. They were a group of ill-trained soldiers who needed to learn that when a superior officer said 'jump' you asked 'how high'...not why.

But, based on the tone Leucite had, she didn't have to say a word.

Instead, as they came to the Hall of Shadows, Stibnite pulled back from Leucite, not wanting to be in his way. Her eyes fell on the one male who had listened.

"Lopezite..." Stibnite muttered, jerking her head as a move for him to come here. The angle where she felt the worse of the slice was bad. She couldn't see it. "Can you handle blood?" She asked with a weak smirk.

Once the assembled group reached the Hall of Shadows, Leucite stopped his breakneck pace. "Alright, that's enough running," He ordered, taking a look at Stibnite before nodding his head. He would have to give her time to recover before they continued on. He did not want to take the obviously injured Captain through the hall, and since they had Valeria, someone would need to escort her, and that would have to be him.

Instead, he turned his attention on those who had fought instead of fled. He began to pace among them, keeping his eyes on them as he moved.

"Just what were you all thinking!?" He demanded, not actually wanting an answer but leveling the question at them to get them to think. "When your commanding officer gives you a direct order, you follow it - regardless of what is going on at the time!"

He turned to face them all directly, looking to each one as he spoke.

"It is my responsibility to ensure you all make it in and out of here safely. I was the commanding officer on this mission. It is my duty to ensure that all of you make it back to Negaspace alive. If that means I have to throw myself in front of a giant feral youma to do so - then that is what I do."

"I ordered you to run so that you would be out of the way - so that I wouldn't have to worry about more potential targets for the youma. Instead, you all disobeyed orders thinking you were helping. When a superior officer gives you orders, there is a reason. I had the situation under control - I had a plan - but then you all threw wrenches in it!"

His finger pointed to Valeria next. "Had it not been the pure luck that Valeria's magic put the youma into a daze, I wouldn't be dealing with just an injured Captain, I'd probably have three hurt lieutenants and a dead corrupt I'd have to drag back to Negaspace!"

"If I give you an order, you follow that order. End of story." He said with a growl. "Especially if ANY of you want to join Special Operations. If you think I'm being a hard a**, well... I have NOTHING on General-Queen Hessonite."

He turned away then, growling, boots pacing along the strange dusty stone beneath them before he stiffly marched off toward the entrance of the hall.

"Grab the crystals, and get through the hall. I need to see how many we have so I can start getting the ornaments made. Valeria, you're with me. Lopezite, assist Captain Stibnite through the portal." He barked back over his shoulder, not looking at them as he realized they had not immediately followed. Then he swept toward the hall, his tattered jacket billowing behind him, not even waiting for Valeria to catch up as he entered the hall.

Lopezite picked his head up when he was addressed and though he hesitated, he moved to Stibnite's side in only a second. "When it's not mine," he replied, tiny grin on his face. He couldn't see how bad her injury was, but he could see the blood. Worse, he was pretty sure he could smell it, but that might have just been in his head.

He was not particularly shy about offering his support and hooked an arm behind her to give her any additional support. He was careful not to touch anywhere that seemed like it had blood on it. "Let me know what I can do for you. I will help however I can."

She knew the General wouldn't be happy, a lot of them had disobayed an order from him - a direct order. She knew it was coming, once they were safe, and she almost shrunk back when he started but hearing him point her out, even pointing at her, she bit her lip. She wanted, so badly, to whisper out that she'd only jumped in because she trusted in her magic. It could give them the time to escape...or at least put some distance down. She hadn't meant to fight - just...help in escaping. They were a team - a unit of sorts and so they should stick together and support the group.

She didn't say it however but she did bow her head when he singled her out and that her magic had helped. She was proud of herself - of her magic. She had proven, finally, that she could be useful..even if she'd gone against his orders. She had proven herself useful and that she could provide backup and support - help.

Finally she did find her voice though, and spoke softly. "I apologize for disobeying your order to run. I thought it in the best interest of the group to attempt to buy us some time by use of my magic. I did not wish to burden you further." Which was true, she wouldn't do something like that, not knowingly. She'd had the best intentions in mind, as she had already stated right after using her magic.

"If any medical supplies are needed...I can get some from home. My father is a doctor at the local hospital and keeps things at home." As he was sort of the family doctor, in a sense. If anyone in her house got hurt, so long as it wasn't too serious, he handled it at home including stitches. He had what was needed for those things, so they were things she could lay her hands on as well.

"Good answer." Stibnite managed to make out with a half grin. She would wince when she moved which, wasn't a good sign. Something was tweaked. What, she wasn't going to begin to guess. Last time she did that left her with a really nice scar.

Mind you that had been from a hunting accident over a youma battling one but close enough.

With one hand still over the wound, Stibnite took the offer and leaned into the young man. "I despising asking for help with this but I also don't think anyone wants me to bleed all over the floor....Give me a hand getting through the Hall of Shadows. My senses are fine but my relaxes may be slowed a bit. Once we are through, I can get it from there..."

Translation...I can disagree about going to med bay for anything until I am basically ordered.

But as she leaned against him, the corrupt began to speak. Those words made Stibnite's eyes snap up. With a shift of her weight, she leaned harder onto Lopezite and brought herself up to more of full height.

"Corrupt Valeria." There was ice on the words as she shot a look over at the woman. One quick look towards Leucite to make sure he didn't signal her to stand down and she continued. "An apology does not make up for the fact you disobeyed General Leucite's direct command. What would you think would be done if our Queen Laurelite had given you a direct order and you failed to follow through?" She was being stern. She was harsh. She would not take insubordination. Leucite had brought her over to seek out the weak and to kill if need be. She would start today if she had to.

"You thought it in the best interest of the group you say? Do you not believe that the General and I have done thorough investigation into your abilities?" These questions were ones Stibnite did not want answered. She wanted the woman to think. "General Leucite is well aware of your abilities..." She quickly glanced around at the group. "Of all your abilities. It is our responsibility to strengthen those abilities to make them the best for your future assignments. " And then she fell back on Valeria.

"I will be seeking the attention from the medical facilities provided by the Negaveruse. I will not be dragging civilians into this. Neither should you. If you rely too much on outside help, how will others ever come to trust you? Show them you can be relied upon and that you trust them as well. Then maybe you will find the respect you wish for."
