Response:
Of all his classes, this one was the most laid back, and fairly creative. Rolling up his sleeves, the hybrid got to work after selecting a recipe. The ingredients were easy enough, and while Wade had never really baked unless it was with his sister Emilia, and mom...it wouldn't hurt to try.
If anything, Wade couldn't wait for Emilia and his mom to try what he had in mind.
Before long, Wade had everything ready to go. Reading over the recipe a few times, Wade began assembling everything. It was actually easy to get wrapped up in the process, and Wade wanted to make it just right. For all the hybrid's efforts, the end result in the biscotti was a flawless recreation of the baked good. Pride for his own accomplishments reflected on Wade's face as he gathered up a few to take home.

Response: Natasha soon realized as she was trying to make her boyfriend something nice...only when she got the broiler involved her mixture she was trying to create nearly exploded all over the place. Embarrassed and horrified she tried to clean up the mess. She wanted to get better at baking to make Juro nice things..but this wasn't going so well. Sighing she pursed her lips at the mess she'd made. Luckily she had an apron on, but it was a real shame the underside of the cookie sandwich was so underdone as it was

Response: Frey was already pretty good at things that didn't involve baking but he wanted to be able to make all sorts of yummy dishes for Ash. So baking elective was the obvious choice to work on this skill. Unfortunately his cooking experience kind of back fired on him and he ended up accidentally broiling his dish instead of baking It like he should have. Suffice to say it was an undercooked disaster that Frey quickly dumped. This wasn't the death by chocolate he had meant when he started baking it. Oh well he woke just try again and if it didn't work. Well he was good at making dinners at least?

The top of Soren's attempted banana cake looked marvelous. A lovely golden brown and it smelled heavenly. Unfortunately, when they'd poked it with the toothpick, it had come out completely covered in uncooked batter. If the top looked so good, why wasn't the inside cooked too? They could have sworn they'd mixed everything right! The addition of some pecans and walnuts shouldn't have caused everything to go so wrong!
Upset that their attempt to make a cake for one of their friends had gone so wrong, they double checked the instructions again. Then they looked to make sure they'd used all the right ingredients. What else could it be?! It wasn't until one of their classmates pointed out that their oven was only on broil that they discovered the problem. Their cheeks were practically on fire as they dumped out the underdone cake so they could start again. They didn't mind staying later to try and get this right, but they would have to keep their mind on the task this time to make sure they didn't do it again.
Result:31-40: You burned the bottom of your dessert. Somehow. Some ... way ... you can eat around it, though!

Juro wanted to make his friend something nice. She was always spoiling him, and trying to take him out to eat. His cheeks flushed slightly thinking about Natasha. She'd been on his mind more so than not lately...it wasn't bad just a fact. Determined to make something note worthy, he selected several ingredients as he read over the recipe. His tail flicked behind him, swishing back and forth as he rolled up his sleeves.
Mmm! What he had in the overn it even smelled great, making his mouth water. He had chosen caramel and peaches as they were both two of his friends favorites...and it sounded good. Only the real issue came into play well after putting everything together. His eyes looked panicked as he smelled a burnt smell. Frantically pulling his desert out...he realized he forgot to cover the bottom of the pan with something to help it from sticking and burning. Oopse! Luckily he could scoop out the top portion and it didn't taste bad.

Cerise was excited for baking classes! She enjoyed the pass time, and while she wasn't an expert doing something while in class sounded like a lot of fun. The fallen looked through the recipe books available to the student body to flip through them to find something yummy to make. Humming thoughtfully, her choice came in the form of delicious looking cheesecake bars. She had never made anything like it before but now was the time! Gathering up her ingredients she put them together, reading careful she assembled her dessert.
Her wings rustled in an excited manner to put her skills to use. In her excitement, as she set the oven to come to temp, she accidentally turned it to broil...rather than bake. By the time her dish was ready to go, it was beautifully cooked on top, and the center and bottom portion was still raw. Her cheeks flushed as it was embarrassing. She'd given it her all at least!

Cyril was more than pleased when he ended up with baking class again for his senior year. He had done reasonably well during his time in class during his junior years and was hoping to do just as well for his senior class. At the very least it was more relaxing than his other electives and they got to eat or share any treats they made. Cyril was more than a little surprised when the teacher announced the same assignment they'd started last year with, but for most of the other students, it would be their first time doing this sort of thing.
Less thrown off with having to choose a recipe of his own to start with, Cyril decided on sugar cookies. They were relatively simple to make, would travel well, and everybody liked them. The difficult portion would be, of course, putting a twist on it. He couldn't do too much without changing what he was making, but thinking of the family he now had, it occurred to him to decorate them. He could give the cookies a seashell shape and put a bit of pink icing on half of them. A small dollop of icing as a pearl and then another cookie on top and they looked relatively close to an oyster.
The final test would be trying them. It was all for nothing if they didn't taste good. Cyril finished making at least a half dozen of them before he finally gathered up enough courage to just try one. Tentatively picking up one of the smaller ones (he really shouldn't have made the cookies so big), Cyril bit into it, chewed thoughtfully, and swallowed. Well. They were. Alright. Nothing dramatic or worth telling everyone about. They were well done and looked pretty, but the flavor wasn't as good as he'd been hoping for. Maybe next time he'd add a bit of extract or something to make them better. Perhaps he should also give a bit of flavor to the icing? The geist thought on it as he finished making the rest of the cookies into clams. Even if they weren't amazing, he could still share them with Wade and Emilia and Waverly.

The poor hybrid looked defeated; his stubby ear tufts drooping as he poked his fork around the pan. Malikah genuinely enjoyed both cooking and baking, and as he aspired to join his fluffy father in the ranks of house chef, his flop of a dessert did make him feel rather inferior. He had intended to share this batch with Evelyn too after class, but not that was questionable. Glancing around the room, he began to sheepishly clean up, taking a forkful off the top here and there. The worst part was going to be having to scrub the bottom of the pan.
Aodh actually wanted to learn how to bake so he could surprise his large Pack. His family had been good to him...he wouldn't even be remotely as secure in himself without them. As a child, he'd been angry, and moody as he felt like no one loved him. They had changed all that...and welcomed him with open arms. So was it so weird to want to show them his gratitude in the form of a delicious baked good?
His tail swished back and forth, his hand-shaped paws quickly put together the batter. It was a bit hazardously as he wasn't normally a cook, nor baker. He had to admit, this was actually more fun than he'd thought it would be. Aodh hummed quietly as he licked the spoon to his batter. Well, it did seem...ok? Maybe it'd be better after he baked it. Hmm..hopefully he put enough sugar in the mixture.
By the time it was done...he was disappointed somewhat as it was simply best put as Meh. He'd have to make another batch and make sure to add more ooey-gooey chocolatey goodness.
Response:40-50 You accidentally set your oven to the broil setting by mistake! Eek! The top looks golden brown, sure, but the inside is so underdone it's a little embarrassing ... Key Lime Pie
Zane had decided she wanted to try making a dessert to treat her girlfriend too. The nixie was a sweet, beautiful girl who deserved all the love and sweet treats the world had to offer. The Baphomet wasn't the most experienced with cooking, but she planned to give it her all for Emilia. She knew how much the other liked Key Lime pie...so why not try that? Working hard at mixing her batter and getting everything together, she was a bit messy as the batter got on her fur. She giggled, cleaning it off with a flick of her finger to sample it. Her eyes widened, tail wagging in approval. Yes this would do. In her haste to make good time, she quickly turned on the oven without checking the cooking setting. Before long....she had a half baked good with a slightly underdone...it was embarrassing. She could recover, and make a new batter. This time she'd be more careful and choose bake over broil.
Response:91+ Absolutely amazing! You went above and beyond and really let your freak flag fly! Have you considered baking on a professional level? Apple Pie
Fletcher slipped into his class with a bit of excitement in his step, he really wanted to make something nice for his adoptive mother Echo. So he came with the attitude he would get this right. He already had some knowledge of baking, so he planned to come into this with the intention of learning. With attention to detail, he carefully worked on assembling his dish. Each ingredient was regarded with care as he put together his Apple Pie. The Imp's tail swished happily, a pleasant smile on the Junior's face. He was excited to see how this would come out. His stomach even rumbled a little in a show of excitement. By the time the oven was set to Bake, and he was left waiting for the dish to cook. The smell was absolutely amazing, and made his heart swell with pride. The actual finished product was beyond what he thought it'd be...it came out golden, brown and looking like it belonged in a food magazine. Flushing Fletcher felt his shoulders square as he lifted is chin with pride when the instructor complimented the end result. He couldn't wait to share with Echo!

Okay. So baking. Tabitha really didn't know much about cooking nor baking..so this was the right class to attend. Hopefully anyway, or else this would be a disaster, to say the least. Deciding to make Carmel Pretzel Brownies. Brownies were usually easier to make in bulk and meant she'd have them to bring home to the family. Reading over the recipe, Tabitha worried at her bottom lip. Was this even going to turn out...sighing she decided to try anyway?
Once all her ingredients were together, Tabitha got them into the mixer. Only she really didn't know the HIGH setting was a bad idea until things were mixed in a bit. Immediately going to town, the Grimm yelped when batter went flying! A sheepish look crossed her face...embarrassed as hell as she shot brownie batter all over the classroom. Sheepishly, she swiped some up..tasting it for quality assurance of course. mmm..it was good at least! And while there wasn't as much as Tabitha had planned on..she decided to keep going and finish it up anyway. The end result was well worth the mess Tabitha felt as she smiled proudly.

Emilia really wanted to learn how to bake for not only her family but to surprise Zane with! Coming to class with a determined expression, the orange and white spotted nixie looked like she came ready to attack this class with a vengeance. Having never baked a day in her life, but a lemon-buttermilk pound cake was ALWAYS delicious. To bad Emilia got way off track, the science of baking just wasn't like preparing food at home for your family. The exact measurements weren't even close, and she forgot her baking soda...added to much-wet ingredients, not enough sugar...so by the time the cake came out, it was a sad, pathetic excuse for a lemon pound cake. Embarrassed Emilia quietly gathered up her failed attempt at the desert, before someone tried it and got sick.

Amie was so NOT a cook, or baker or anything of that sort. As a matter of fact, she had never even opened a recipe book. Until today, she had to pass one more elective to graduate and be free of this god awful school system. So baking seemed like it was the easiest one. BOY was she mistaken fist off finding a recipe itself was a daunting task. Since she had never baked before she felt it was probably best to stick with something basic. She chose a Chocolate cake because how could you go wrong with that? Amie turned on the oven greased the pan and mixed the ingredients. She put it in the pan and cooked it for 35 minutes, she figured if she went on the longer side then it would definitely be done right? Well, it definitely was, in fact, the bottom was burnt. She looked down disappointed. At least the frosting was pretty good.
