Brown eyes widened in horror when Joy realized the Horseman had a fellow hunter slung over their shoulders. She couldn't tell which Clan the kidnapping Horseman was, they were gone too quickly but the one that emerged to deal with the Moons was giving Joy some serious Mulawin vibes. Pity, she remembered loving the s**t out of that telenovela and didn't want to have to ruin those feathers.
But you gotta do what you gotta do and as Joy was about to lunge while strongly suggesting that Jason get back to camp and alert the others, yet another person came bursting out of the brush. Pak shet, The sudden arrival caught Joy off guard and made her lose her balance as she swung her weapon.
The Horsewoman managed to slice into Joy better than her shitty swing that barely grazed. Kubyerto snarled in annoyance and groused at Joy to regain her footing. Joy dashed to the black-clad woman while yelling to her fellow Moon to "Let the base know someone got taken. I'll cover you!"
Stopping when she was beside the new-comer, Joy brandished her bladed shovel at the Horsewoman, "C'mon, deal with me!"

Rep looked a little humbled at Harrison's comment and looked away. "So we just let him die or whatever?" He might already be dead, for all they knew. "We should at least ******** tell them, if nothing else."

Melody received a slightly possessive look at the mention of treasure. "I don't know if it is the sharing kind of treasure. You'd need to pull your weight."
Lawrence raised a brow at Melvin, his expression softening a little. "Did you just call me a treasure? Or did you mean the hammer? Regardless, there is unfound treasure out here, it's why we are here. I read the file. The horsemen want something powerful. I think it's worth us getting there first."

Peyton had taken a few moments to look around, see what still needed doing, what everyone else was currently working on, and where her assistance would be most needed. after which, she'd taken her pack and headed towards one of the empty tents, claiming herself a place to sleep, and a place to leave her gear. She'd only just stepped back out when she spotted Andy heading her way, and she smiled up at him as she reached up to tug at his bag until he let it slide off his shoulders. The tents weren't big, but they were big enough for them to share. "About time you got here. What'd you do, fall back to sleep?" She was teasing him, mostly. His bag was tossed into the tent with her own, they could set up sleeping bags and stuff later. First, their was the rest of the camp t fortify. Stepping up beside him, she leaned her hip into the side of his thigh as she looked up towards the canopy of lush branches that overhung along the fringe of the clearing. She was small enough, agile enough, and strong enough to climb up there and clear everything away so someone else could come through to take down the trunks. "Anyone point you at a job yet?"

"Don't take it too hard," Harrison said, surprised that Rep was all that upset about it. "But...yeah, we oughta let them know." And let everyone else know too, especially if he was close to camp when he went off the radar

Rep sighed and nodded. "You are right man. I'll get handing out headsets to people. Need a line of communication if this s**t is going down around the camp. We need to know if anyone needs help. I'll pass along the message. If you get to Melvin and co before me, let them know the same thing and give them a headset."
He headed over to pick up a box of headsets, ones that he had spent some time repairing back on the island to hopefully make them as optimal as he could, or at least able to hold a charge for a mission.
Everyone Feel free to assume you got a headset from somewhere for announcements. Either Rep or elsewhere.

Melody's smile brightened as she clearly did NOT misunderstand Lawrence. "I can help!" She then gave the both of them an awkward look. She got the feeling she was picking up on something she probably shouldn't and frowned. "As long as it's like... Er... not... THAT kind of treasure."
"I don't think I want to be included in anything..." She lowered her voice to a whisper, "inappropriate."
She stood straight up as Rep startled her by thrusting the headset at her. She looked at it awkwardly then put it on and looked at him just as awkwardly as he continued down the line.
She looked back at the other two and shrugged. "So do you think there's a monster guarding the treasure?"

Why had he thought things were safe. Why, why did he ever assume there was nothing there? The sudden sound and sight of feathers made him tense up. But the flash of a white coat had him horrified. He knew of the horrible things that happened to hunters taken by the horsemen. Muttering a curse under his breath, he was half tempted to shout at the retreating man to come back when another dropped right in front of them. Jason bit his lip to keep from shrieking at the sudden appearance, his blade held up and ready to strike. Joy was a beat faster then him, concern clenching at his heart for the trainee. The horsewoman was clearly of the war tribe, a tribe experienced at fighting. Her quick reflexes allowed her to get a edge on the girl. He heard her shout for him to go back to the base, but her request fell on death ears; there was no way he would let her fight alone, against a horsemen, while he cowardly ran away. Instead he rushed forward, sword held against his shoulder in both hands as he leaped forward to bring it down in a diagonal swipe. Their opponent was fast however, and his attack missed it's mark. Now he grit his teeth, anxious of the fact his own strength had been diminished. The cause of this issue was hidden under a cloth tied around his hands in place of his usual gloves. He'd just have to make do. "You should go back Joy" He called out. "I can handle her!" Melvin stared at him. "Any Tom, d**k, and Harry can manhandle that hammer. I'd hardly call it a treasure, and there are hammers at home." He said, hoping Lawr now got the hint on many levels. Raising a hand speak in Lawr's direction, he continued with a whisper. "That hammer looks soft in comparison."
Melody picked up on the tone being laid down, and he looked at her with a manicured, raised brow. "Seems Melody doesn't appreciate that type of treasure and thinks that we would do something inappropriate during a mission." He placed a hand to his chest and shook his head as if personally wounded.
He leaned in slightly to whisper at her. "The only monster guarding that treasure is me." Not that those weren't jewels that weren't passed around before.
"So you came to score a big prize before the horsemen do? Were you just going to slip out alone and do that?" He had to wonder what really would have happened to Lawr if he didn't show up. He knew the man was nimble, but this was no doubt a dangerous object - if it was something one could even take.

Lawrence shook his head at Melody, as always with that brisk edge of impatience he exhibited around other people. "Nothing inappropriate that would involve you, I assure you. You are welcome to help with hunting for whatever it is we need." He momentarily looked concerned. "Hopefully no monsters though." He wasn't much for violence.
Melvin though, Melvin had his attention a great deal lately, there was a boldness and confidence to him that was still jarring when it flashed a fin, unafraid to challenge him or to boldly flirt in a way that made him arch that brow and keep it there. He was flattered in spite of himself and rendered a little more awkward by the unfamiliar situation where he was rendered more prey than predator. He did what he could to set it aside for the time being.
"I was thinking about seeing what I could find. I've dealt with horsemen before, they aren't so bad." And it was a ridiculous thing to say, given the huge wound he had on his lower abdomen, a wound which had almost killed him and only had not because they wanted to toy with him further.
And then Rep was there, handing out headsets and he aloofly looked away, determined not to so much as make eye contact with the other man. "Buddy system is in effect, nae c**t goes out alone. Rodney's missing. Went out to build. Think he got kidnapped. Don't do anything stupid, if you are the sort to do stupid s**t." and for a second his gaze dropped to Lawr's missing hand and then to Melvin. "He's either dead by now, or he's at their base."

The Horsemen wasn’t a joke, all three of them took hits even as they squared off against her. Worse yet, the two didn’t seem to be fully fledged compared to the hunters she usually ran across. For once she actually lamented the lack of someone like Rep or Jordan, even given the chance the first one might try killing her, at least Jordan she could trust in this situation fully.
“If neither of you want to go back then we need to drop this one now before she pulls anything herself. I don’t know how many are patrolling the area looking for Hunters.” Flicking back the black cloak she tucked her left fist and buckler in close, a burst of purple FEAR burning around her as she stepped in going for a punch at the Horsemen’s gut. Even as she moved in the Horsemen reacted lashing back with an equal blow causing the undead ghoul to grin.
“C’mon Hunters, I know you’re better then this.” Stepping back from the exchange of blows she cracked her neck side to side, inspecting the hunters properly for the first time. Deffiently not two she had ever met before for sure.OOC Sammy Stats: HP: 38/50 DMG: 8 Enemy: 20/40HP Invoke Charges: 4/10 Artifact: Unused

The horsewoman was nimble and brutal and seemed to grow truly angry, losing a little of her composure as a student joined the hunters. There was nothing so despicable as a traitor and she called out across the magical link between herself and the other horsemen that the zombie ghoul had turned on them.
"This isn't your fight child." she laughed. "But you'll share in their fate."
Scaling a tree nimbly she cast her brutal and sapping fear attack at the ghoul.

"Seriously though. Are you two like... A thing or?" Melody looked mildly uncomfortable by Melvin's attempts at flirting but mostly as if she were trying to keep a straight face. She didn't know whether to laugh or cry at the man honestly.
Wait. Wait. Wait. What did Rep just say?!
She looked at the other two with wide baffled eyes. "RODNEY!" It was all she could think to say.

Jason had been so focused on the horsemen, he hadn't noticed the appearance of a third figure cloaked in black coming to their aid. The moon was throughly stunned to say the least at the newcomers presence. Why where they wearing a black cloak, was this some sort of special hunter gear he wasn't aware of? (He knew some hunters wore black on special occasions, though he had never been given a black cloak himself) He stepped back to watch her strike again, now paying more attention to her attack and - wait a sec wasn't that a FEAR attack? That wasn't a weapon, she was using her fists! The moon then realized said hand was a skeleton hand, and his face grew white. If there was one thing that scared him, (among a hole lot of things that did), it was a zombie. He was quite confused to say the least, if not shaking at Sammy's appearance. At the very least he didn't turn his blade on her, seeing that she was being quite helpful and punching their foe. For what reason he didn't know. He wasn't sure of the kind of alliances horsemen and students shared, but assumed that since they were both made of FEAR they would be...somewhat friendly with each other? When she addressed them, Jason jumped a little, trying to say something constructive to her criticism but coming out with a mumbled stutter instead. Lawr just stared at Rep for his very flippant and callous comment. Normally he wouldn't have cared at all, shrugging his shoulders that some other hunter who wasn't him had gotten themselves killed. He didn't expect the words to hit him in a way that was almost physical, melding together into an almost physical sensation, a nausea with teeth that threatened to make him retch before it spread out into a hissing static of emotion like a broken television without a signal. He didn't know how to feel, he didn't know how you were meant to react to something like this.
He could be dead. His masterpiece could be destroyed. This had happened before with America and he'd been helpless, sat by her pod in stasis, needing her to wake to wake himself. Without Rodney he would lapse further back into the emotional nothingness he'd been in before. He'd lose his eyes and his comprehension of how to react and when things were outside his realm of experience.
No, he couldn't be dead. He simply was not dead. He was somewhere and there was still time.
<> Butch bared his teeth eagerly in Lawrence's thoughts and he donned the headset and summoned his talons.
"Nothing stupid indeed." he said, checking the SPECTRE watch he'd gotten Melvin to buy for him a long time ago, now wrapped in the grip of Butch's steel and runes. He just needed to find the blip that had gone missing. "Are you coming Melvin? Melody? You don't have to. I want him back. I'll travel just as well alone."
