Lieutenant Idrialite - Second floor hallway

Up close, and on further looking, Idrialite realized he knew this Captain - in a way. He'd been one of the spectators at the tournament, which meant he'd witnessed Idrialite's...less than impressive fight with Annabergite.

At least he hadn't brought it up, nor did he seem to be letting the less than stellar performance there affect his opinion. At least, Idri hoped so.

Mostly, he was just glad that the Captain seemed to know what he was doing, or was collected enough to issue orders as if he did. The orders seemed, perfectly reasonable, even, which was nice, all things considered.

"I can do that, sir," he agreed easily enough, though he didn't dismiss his weapon. It would be too much of an energy loss to desummon and recall it if it did turn out to be necessary, and it might well.

He could hear a voice down the hall, and he frowned faintly. Not familiar, and he wasn't picking up any other Chaos energy signatures, and that left him deeply concerned.

And that was about when the walls started leaking black..something. He took a step away, letting out a startled curse.

"Bloody hell, what is that," not that he necessarily expected answers, but -- "<********>" He felt that about covered the situation, really.

TianGuan- near the entrance ((Kaori_luv accidentally over-rode what I initially had, so just having something here to make it less awkward xD))

Tian wasn't sure what she should do. There was the option of going in to see what information she could find or she could find someone around her and try and figure out why she was there. Tian knew that something or someone had called out for help, but... What next?

She looked around and noticed a Senshi with red and gold fuku and a Page with an outfit of silvers and blues. They were not too far, but Tian also noticed tar-like goo popping up everywhere. "Strange... I didn't know new things actually popped up on home worlds..." She did notice that things did feel... strange here.

"Hello. My name is TianGuan, Senshi of Masks..." She paused, looking around. "I don't know why I'm here, but... Something is pulling me towards going to the largest tree?"

Chibi Sailor Oort
Location: Outside and heading towards the big tree with Chaldene and Tomlin

"Maybe" Oort admitted at Chaldene's mention about not knowing what they were going to face. "But we're here for a reason so we should prob'ly try to at least find out why."

Or at least he was assuming that they were here - wherever here was - for a reason..

And besides Chaldene had kind of said it himself with his earlier expect some fight comment.

He didn't have anything to add to Tomlin's 'not to count us out' comment, although Oort totally agreed with the ginger star cat - because being a superhero was something that he took seriously.

He pushed through some more grass before looking curiously over at Chaldene because he was curious about what happened with the Maia place too, although the answer left him with another question "What's transcended?"

And it hadn't escaped his notice that apparently the Maia place had apparently had a big tree involved and there was a big tree here too - which kind of made Oort half wonder if an infection thing would end up happening too, although he was keeping quiet on the thought - at least for now.

Kairatos:

"If the tower's in shape we might try there." Not that it would be friendly to ball gowns or crutches, but if there were steps, and a vantage, it wouldn't be a bad way to get a look at the situation. Especially when it was hard to concentrate on anything but that feeling of something being wrong, and of watching where he put his crutches down because of tangling grass and patches of goo.

"Minimum it might give us a defensible position... you feel it right?" He called to the others, particularly Caia and Meru. "Something's going to get ugly, I'll lay odds on it, or we wouldn't be here."

He worried about it, being on crutches, working with Pages, who might be competent but Cosmos knew came under-armed, and did not want them hurt or worse.

Neckar - near the entrance

Did she just say Mars ... Neckar swore he just heard the words mars. As if having a planet all to yourself wasn't adventure enough some could be summoned to Mars. The people trying to kill you aside, that sounded like a pretty sweet deal. Who needed NASA ... hell they were apparently wrong on most accounts anyway. Seriously ... man all they things they could be taught by what was basically a bunch of teenagers.

"Nice to meet you Gorner, odd circumstances withstanding ..." he started but turned as they were approached by another senshi with a design on her face. "Neckar, Senshi of Protea," he responded to the newcomer and shook his head at her question.

"Your guess is as good as mine. I have a feeling its anything, but good. I mean can you two feel it ... like were in for trouble. As like I said a moment ago this feel like being on the egde of fear ... the black goop certainly doesnt help that feeling."

He looked to the tree, "You think maybe we should head inside, or try to get some information from the other's popping up?"

Super Eros - Second Floor

The smile she got was encouraging. People intent on hurting you didn’t tend to smile like that.

“Eros. Nice to see someone with a friendly face, you know? I dunno where we are though.” She said as she took her eyes off the other senshi to glance around. “I’ve never been here before and I’m not even really sure how I got here. Good to know I’m not the only one confused.”

She hooked her fingers in the waist band of her skirt when she turned back, a head toss clearing the hair out of her bright eyes. At least she wasn’t alone now. Most situations were improved with a pretty companion, so at least she was ahead now. Eros did perk up, hearing the lovely senshi had a brother, and she couldn’t help picturing a male version of the girl in front of her. For a moment her eyes went unfocused, but her attention returned soon enough when Maia pointed out something on the walls.

Eros made a face as she edged towards the center of the hall, keeping her boots carefully clear.

“Gross… what the ******** is that? Its not acid or something, ya think?” Being melted alive on an alien planet seemed far too sci-fi horror for her tastes. Dying of any sort was not appreciated.

“Well, lead the way, Gorgeous, if you have an idea where to go, because I sure as hell don’t. Not against sticking together and rounding up some more people too… strength in numbers.” She said as she edged closer.

In front of each character is a vague copy of themselves, formed of that oily black goop that had come oozing out of the crevices of the world. Its gathered together in response to each person's power level, making them more or less an equal threat to everyone.

Now its time to break out the dice!

Each monster has 60 hit points of health.

Each time you attack, roll a 20 sided dice to determine how much damage you do. This means, at best, you can destroy one of these things in three posts.

If you have magic that does AoE damage, you are allowed to specify which monsters around you take the damage you rolled. This does not work with defensive magic, it has to be offensive. Each monster takes the full damage you rolled, you don't have to spread it out between them.

If you roll a 5 or less: You take physical damage from the monster. A 5 is light damage, maybe a scratch or bruise, scaling down to a 1, which is a bad wound. This mechanic is optional, and is included for fun. If you want more damage, by all means take it! If you want less damage because it would interfere with plots, that's fine too.

When a monster runs out of HP, they run out of the energy they've stolen from the living planet and turn into a grainy stone that crumbles at the slightest touch. At that point, you are free to help out those who are still fighting, continue exploring, or return home as you please. The battle is over once all the monsters have been killed.

The Blight in solid form feels like rubber or thick silicone when struck. Its solid, but has some give. Cutting it leaves a gaping slice, but no blood. The monsters are able to change their form slightly, gaining razor edged fingers or forming their limbs into heavy clubs. They're a bit ungainly and uncoordinated, so they can be dodged, but getting hit hurts.



It is not too late for newcomers to join in! Feel free to arrive in the middle of the chaos. Your character will be targeted by a Blight monster and you may roll to fight.

Hyperborea, Trancendent Knight of Cosmos- Second Floor Hallway

Before Hyperborea could get an answer the black substance dripping from the walls increased its pace and pooled up on the floor. She quickly lifted the skirt of her long flowing dress out of the way of the gross liquid. "ugg! What in Cosmos' name is this?"

The black substance started to congeal in a very unnatural way, in front of her it began to take shape. It started to look vaguely like the transcendent knight of Cosmos herself. "What sort of monster are you?" She growled at the creature that had taken her form.

It didn't respond instead it lashed out at her sharp look claws aimed at her face. She just got her staff up in time to block. Fine. She thought as she moved back before swinging her staff wing side down on the creature. The crystal wings sliced into the strange monster's shoulder but it didn't seem deterred as it just moved forward to keep attacking.
