"This is all but a major misunderstanding. There has been nothing official offered to Count Dixon. Hell, if you think I would hand over an inch of our soil, the soil that is rightfully ours to defend as our blood right, then you would think me an ignorant b*****d my dearest sister." Roland had gained a wind of confidence now that Hysteria would hear him out rather than shout over his explanations and with a chance to speak Roland had a chance to set things to be as they should be. "I've only gave Dixon my word that I would think over his two proposals and nothing more. He is patiently awaiting my word and he'll stay that way for as long as I see fit...As for the deal he wanted me to think about is to have a contract building job to create farmland twice the size of his current domain. He also wants to take all land formerly belonging to House Kai and believes that I can do this with my influence but I see what he wants. He's looking to build his own power and influence by learning of our farming secrets just as you suspect, but I immediately shot that deal down because like you I seen what he was up to."The prince then takes a calming breath before continuing; two finches landing near the window as they sing to the morning glory. "The other deal, the deal I'm actually thinking about, is that if I send men to help rebuild a mine on Dixon's property he would give me 25% of the profits in perpetuity. Though he asks for a privet road free of tax for this I was thinking of doing this only to get the raw materials to forge new jewelry so that I can sell high in Lionis and earn money... Enough money to purchase...slaves...slaves that we could use to help complete the road." With his full plan now out in the open he didn't know what his sister would think of his actions. He had the best for his country's coffers in mind but was willing to employ slaves to not only give the slaves a sort of freedom but also to reduce cost of the road building by using slaves to help. "Youkimi was only appointed by me so that our council could be seen as fair by our people and the refugees from Ethe. She gives these displaced souls hope for a better future and has an influence on their hearts like no other I've seen before. With Youkimi at our table we'll secure more trust from strangers and have better chances transforming them to be loyal to the republic. Think about it Hysteria. She'll help us keep the refugees from doing us harm while also being able to guide how she influence them by humbly keeping her in my protective presence at the council... Besides, did you know she's of House Kai? Their influence is known in all kingdoms, infamous or as just a familiarity, for good reason. She's already purchased a home in our lands with her connections so if we make her an official civilian think of how well she will be willing to serve the land which has treated her, and her people, so kindly."

Hysteria Izadora Bellris EC: $500Clothing: red dressMood: Synthetic peace Hysteria took a deep breath, continuing to calm herself as she sat down, she was still in pain from having her child just yesterday. She would look up at her brother "I have no objection to the use of slaves to build the roads. So long as a majority of the jobs go to citizens of Bellris" she said to him, her words, slow, calculating as if she still did not trust him. "I will support you in bringing Baroness Kai onto the council, HOWEVER, I will be meeting her first. I will be sending a letter to her." she said to him a small smile on her face "She is still at Ethen brother, she is only displaced. if she had the choice she would leave Bellris and she would go back to Ethe as soon as she can, any secrets she would gain she would take with her." she said to him "I will speak with her...and, I will only give my support for her councilship if she gives up all claims to Ethe, her title, her lands, and any choice of returning to Ethe with any form of title, she will sign her name on a stone stating her alligence to Bellris and only Bellris. And that stone will be sent to the Maude to be etched onto the walls of Justice and Oaths, so that if she ever breaks it she will be damned not just in this life to be a fugitive and traitor but in every life after." Hysteria said "I will meet her first before she goes one step farther with anything she is planning" Hysteria said to him. Hysteria would then take a deep breath "As for Count Dixon. Here is my proposal... a counter to his. You, brother, may help unearth his mines. You may financially support him if you so desire.... he will only be a drain on your assets. However he will deal no business in Bellris, He will not sell, he will not take, and he will do nothing either unearthering, planting or building in the land, if he so much as attempts to build a well or sell a grain or rice in Bellris he will be imprisoned on suspition of subterfuge." Hysteria said to him "as for the road... Since he's trying to run around the rules. He will not have license to build any roads in Bellris as all Roads in Bellris will be public with the only tax being at the boarders if I can convince the council. I do not care what he does so long as it does not interveine with Bellris." Hysteria paused Brother. Think of it this way, if Bellris experienced famine so great that our people fled in hopes of a better life. Our people would still call themselves the People of Bellris, If you where forced to flee Bellris and go to Ethe would you instantly call yourself Ethen? or would you say that you are born upon the soil of Bellris despite where you have gone?" Hysteria slowly leaned forward, the pain in her eyes growing "We are considered dark Brother. Our feathers bleed red and are covered in pitch while those of Ethe shine with light and fire, bathed in gold and blinding colours. That is our great devide, the people of Ethe and the People of Bellris will never willingly take to eachother, after everything that has been done." Hysteria took a deep calming breath "However, the biggest advantage to being part of the dark means that we know the dark. We know who we are, we accept all things the ugly the cruel, we see things for what they are, and we admit to who we are, we admit our faults and our cruelties, we admit to what we truly are and we do not hide it...and it makes the light so much more beautiful when we reach it ourselves. but to those born in the light means that everything is seen, all the flaws, all the distate, and everyone born in the light strives for more and more light, for perfection... the light makes everything ugly and it casts a shadow upon everything that might look even slightly flawed. The light can be so blinding to those born in it that they do not see their own flaws, they do not see how cruel they can be and how to stop it" Hysteria said to him "The Ethen's have lost everything Brother, many lost their homes, many have lost their faith, loved ones, their wealth, their power. This makes people whom don't know their cruelty even more horrifying because they do not know their limits until it is to late." Hysteria said to him "That is what the Ethe are. and now that they have nothing to hold them back they will be more merciless if they get the chance. I urge you brother to not make deals in the shadows. Do not play games in the shadows, play by their rules, do what must be done in the open, with a crowd, because if you play by the Rules of Bellris they to will play by them, they will hide in the shadows, they will do back handed things, they will do things that will destroy you. But if you play in the light, make sure that at least a few others know of what is going on they can not go back on their side of the deal" Hysteria stood up and walked over to her brother, putting her hands on his shoulders "They will take their fancy words and actions into the darkness and make you think they are speaking from the light when really they are wrapping themselves in a darkness so dark that it will absorb the light that we see" Hysteria looked at Roland, her hands still on his shoulders, squeezing them slightly "If you give anyone the secrets we have of farming, This count Dixon or Baroness, or anyone. I will kill them.... Then I will kill you... I will take your life myself if I must in order to keep the people of Bellris safe, do you understand this?" she said to him in all seriousness "You are my brother, and I love you, but I will not let you put Bellris in Jepordy, do you understand?" Hysteria would pull away from him as she sat down upon her bed once more, picking up a quill from her bed side desk she began to write a letter. She flicked her wrist to create an X at the bottom of it, refusing to sign the letter before she called for a guard. The door would open and a guard would come in "send this off to this Lady Kai at once" she said to the guard before looking at her brother "anything else you want to tell me" Lord Hedo Sorry for the multiple edits

Mind is drawing blanks ;n; Prince Roland Leoharz Bellris Hysteria's judgment was firm but fair. "I understand completely sister...I'm sorry for making you think I would betray you." He slightly rubbed at where his sister gripped at his shoulders with her hand but chose to sit by Hysteria, with a slight pain in his heart. "I know I was making moves while you were indisposed of but believe me when I say it was with the good of our republic in my heart that I did these things. I know I had you in the dark but as a chairman it is up to me to start thinking for myself and doing things as a leader. As a prince during the time of our queendom I felt more like an ornament of the royal family rather than a political entity..." The prince with soft eyes places a hand upon the queen's lap and slightly squeezed with unsteady affection for his sibling as he still felt slightly untrusted by his dear sister. "Since I helped House Drosselmyer win the crown during the civil war I've become quite good at playing chess in the dark," he jokes slightly to lighten the mood, reminding that he help in disguise and won land during his undercover battles, "But to betray my family would be to kill my own soul. With Theodora's death you are my only blood relative to survive, Hysteria. Without you I'd be alone in this world and my heart would never recover to have you hate me beyond words. I love you sister, and I swear to let you know next time I do come with a plot like this." It's never been in the prince's heart to want more power but ever since the civil war Roland has become emboldened and has become a risk taker. He wants to become someone of importance rather then just a pretty figure head and with the queendom turned republic that opportunity has come knocking loudly at the forefront of Roland's mind. "There are two things I wish for you to know though, sister Hysteria." Roland begins to speak again after taking his relaxing hand away from his sister. "I want to be there when you speak with Lady Kai...and I'd like to see my nephew as soon as I can."

Hysteria Izadora BellrisEC: $500Clothing: red dressMood: Synthetic peace Hysteria took a deep breath and tapped on the nightstand, a guard coming in "Tell Ms. Covington to bring my son back please she said and the guard nodded, leaving at once to get the woman "its alright...I may have over reacted slightly" she said to him as she looked at the ground, smiling when he sat next to her "Our republic is just so young.... if we don't have unity we can be taken down so easily" she said to him, taking his hand in hers and squeezing it slightly "I did not sign or stamp the letter I sent to Lady Kai so you will probably have to send one to her as well..." Hysteria slowly placed her head on his shoulder "You can keep doing your dealings in the shadows, I just don't want to be caught off guard... as head of the council I do dealings with the royalty of all the kingdoms directly, any deals you make with the nobility could counteract any deals I make with them." she sighed softly "I made a deal with the queen of Ethe, we will be aloud to build roads into Ethe in exchange for food." she said to him and then she smiled "I actually have an idea" she said to him "We could give the Ethen's their own land. It can already be tilled so we don't have to share any of our secrets. The Ethen's can keep the land and call it their own so long as they remain their, they can do whatever they want and if they live their they can continue calling themselves Ethen's, they can live according to Ethen law and Ethen Tax rates.. They can live their and keep their customs, however they will be under Bellris' protection, kind of like Quasi-Bellrisian's.... and Baroness Kai can be their representative on the council, what do you think?" she asked her brother as a knock came at the door before Ms. Covington came in with Hysteria's son. Hysteria would smile as she held out her hands and Ms. Covington gave the boy over before bowing "my queen" Ms. Covington said even though Hysteria was no longer queen. Hysteria would smile softly as she looked at little Kyran, showing the little boy off to her brother, he had been born with a patch of blonde hair that already seemed to be darkening slightly "I named him Kyran.... I know its not a name native to Bellris, but with things changing, I guess Names should be the least of everyones issues" she said to him.

It shows you care deeply for our newly formed home." She squeezed his hand to help him feel better but he said words to try and let her know he's okay with his she acted to him. "I'll send a letter to Lady Kai when I get the chance. Like after meeting family." His heart did want to write to the Ethen woman but he was far too invested in what was happening right now to want to go away. His sister has just forgiven him for over stepping power and he was thankful for it. It just seemed as though everyone still looked to her as the queen, including himself. As Hysteria lay her head on his shoulder Roland though of her idea. "Presenting them with land might be a good idea but I'm reluctant. I want to help the refugees but something you said earlier rung true with me. If I had been displaced from our home I would not become the dog of any nation that took me in and so I'm not sure how trusting we can be with the refugees. On the other hand, if we don't allow them to make a living they'll find their own way which could lead to a monstrous rise in crime. It would be something to talk with Youkimi about." For Roland cared to hear her words. Some others might see it as uncharacteristic of Roland to have chosen a woman for the Council but he had his reasons; Both a political one and a selfish one. "Perhaps we just give them a small district and let them figure out how to use their trades to earn a living..." Just then, a knock on the door. Roland was like an attentive hound when he heard it and with a thankful smile he shows Ms. Covington gratitude for her loyalty. Seeing the boy for the first time, there were stars in Roland's eyes as he gazed upon his little nephew who look so fragile in his sister's arms. "Names are the lest of anyone's issues. The real issue here is that this little lad is going to grow up being sought after for his brilliant hair." He smiles at his nephew and tries to lightly poke the baby's cheek of unmatched softness. "I thought I was going to hate Kyran for what he was, but as soon as I laid eyes upon him I knew I couldn't dislike a child free of sin." He then gives his sister a kiss on the cheek and congratulates her. "You have a wonderfully healthy boy Hysteria. The gods show kindness to you, my dear sister."

Hysteria Izadora BellrisEC: $500Clothing: red dressMood: Calm Hysteria smiled softly as she held her child "In my experience if people work the land then they feel a loyalty to it that no king or queen can order" she said to her brother as she watched him poke her boy. She watched as her boy squirmed slightly in her arms, causing Hysteria to adjust her arms "because when people put their livelihood into something they don't want to abandon it or see it destroyed...its basically allowing the Ethens to make themselves citizens instead of decreeing that they are, letting them earn their place in Bellris. And though that may be seen as cruel, it is a battle between what is right and what is. A harsher action must be taken with Lady Kai as by birth and law she is nobility in Ethe, and as a Republic we must acknowledge that, however since she has station in another country she can leave whenever Ethe begins to recover and she regain her standing as a true Ethen, while the farmers and peasants that fled have lost their land...some like us whom have been working the same land for generations now have their lands buried under stone and ash, giving them something to work on and worth with and work for will create loyalty that does not need to be bought, and it will be loyalty to Bellris, not to one person...as that is what Bellris is supposed to become as a republic it is to be a representation of all, not by the few...and if to much stock is put into Lady Kai she can control the Ethen's and that is where we falter, the Ethen's must become part of Bellris on their own." she said before looking down at her boy, running her fingers gently though her son's hair "I am happy I had him." she whispered as she looked at the boy and then she looked over at her brother "and what about you? how is your lady love from Zalto? Athena right?" she asked him as she smiled "The way you would look at her when she stayed here for a little while made it obvious" she whispered.

This was very true of what Hysteria said and a small smile blooms as he watches his nephew Kyran move in his mother's arms. There was a lot about the future he had to think about, like his future marriage and what is to become of his choosing of Lady Kai to the council, but for now there was his family and his republic to care for. "Oh, was it that obvious?" Roland smirked with a blush to his cheeks. "It's funny you mention her...because I've got something to tell you." Roland then speaks with an openly and bravely to his sister thinking that she would be accepting of what he was going to say. "I am going to be marrying the princess of Zalto, because Athena is with child and she's pregnant with my child." Roland sounded quite sure and happy about his choice. He didn't question a thing about Athena and only seen her as a diamond gleaming in his eyes. Babies have always had an acute sense of auras and of their surroundings. They have to in order to survive. Because of this Roland trusted the judgment of his nephew Kyran and placed hope that he might shed a little wisdom on what he feels. A delicate finger from the knight reaches out to his nephew and waiting for a physical response from the child Roland would cuddle Kyran's little cheek. "What do you think about it Hysteria? As my sister what do you say? As head chairwomen what do you feel?" She asked that he tell her about plots and other such things and he was to make good on his word. This wasn't a political stunt or a move for power but it effects the republic all the same. Roland knew this would mean big changes in his life but he wanted to hear what his older sister felt about what risk he was thinking of taking.

Several different things ran though her head. The first being that the royal family of Zalto where traitors for sticking with the empire, but then she remembered that this was her brother, and after having slept with a dragon herself she had litterally no room to judge. She would then smile at him "You take care of her" she said to him, and then nudged him "And when its born bring her by so I can meet the child" she said to her brother "I a happy for you, and on a political note, if its a girl that means if this republic fails it will be your line up next" she told her brother because honestly she felt weird speaking about family things with him, the last thing that she had spoken to him about was when Theodora had died, which reminded Hysteria that if possible they would need to recover her body, but that would probably be unlikely if it had been buried under the lava. Hysteria would look up at her brother "I would like to attend your wedding" she said to him.

The larger man walked in with his tathered scarf cuffed under his neck it seemed while his arms crossed a bit and his golden eyes peered forth into the room. His scarred face looked a bit sombered while his side had the sword of the king. A ornamented longsword which he was to keep on his person while he moved around the kingdom. His eyes tried to hide his remorse though did poorly as he pulled a small nod towards Roland. "I'd like to attend as well, young knight." His words bellowed while sighed in a relieving way, getting a small smirk upon his face. Herod seemed to have heard the last bit of conversation before entering and seeing them, all three of them. Her acceptance was support in a form he wanted and perhaps what he needed to ready his heart for marriage. He had done things with Athena in the dark thus far and now with the world at current peace it was time he announced his love for the Princess of Zalto out into the light of the world. Damn traditional means of courtly love! He wants his passion to be as wild and alive as life itself and that's exactly how it was going to be. He cared little for approval of others about his love for it was only truly the approval of one person he cared about in this sense. "Hysteria, you don't how your words uplift my spirits right now." Just after having said that a familiar looming shadow enters the room and with a small smile Roland looks up to the King of Phobos with much respect. "I'm glad you heard too, Herod, because this'll mean I'm invited to your weeding too." A brother-in-law sounded nice if it was to be the father of his sister's child and since hen was here why not talk an little with Herod too. After all it's been ages since they've seen each other; What with Roland having secretly killed others to help during the civil war of Epsilon. As his sister gets up Roland dose as well but not to shake hands with Herod but rather to give his sister and Herod a little space. There was a blessing in the arms of his sister right now that he felt He rod needed to see.

He'd look to the child a bit hesitant to even touch the fragile being before holding the baby in his palm alone and bringing the child to his chest. He'd look to his eyes as his eyes formed a crimson. The man's free hand gong to the boy's chest as he heard the information. The baby and his father seemed to be in a dead lock while he leaned in close and closed an eye. The thumps were fast, his finger couldn't pin point it, it seemed it was closer to himself than he'd first thought. "Two hearts... Just like me." He'd say, not really knowing much about children, outside of his baby brother years back. Though the name of the lad made his heart sink a bit, but also warm. Where there was death, there also bloomed life. He'd let light drop of liquid drop from his eye while the baby merely stared back at the man. His eyes watching his father's produce a tear. "This...Is my son. Kyran Letho the Second." He'd say while he looked to the two in the room and gulped a bit. "I-I..." He'd feel his free arm tense up a bit while he looked to the ground. "I hope I have many lovely nieces and nephews" she said to him and looked back at Herod "No need to thank me for anything" she said as she looked at her boy "I was thinking he could stay with you every once in a while. He'll need to grow up knowing who you are in order to know who his father is after all" she said as she leaned down and gave her boy a soft kiss on the forehead.

True displays of emotion are rare for when it's true affection it shows the connection someone has to something. Enemies and spies would love to have their eyes on this but for Roland it was good to know Herod respects him enough to allow him to see a glimpse of their love. "Since the meeting is at its end," Roland interrupted with a slight clearing of his throat, "I'll be heading to my room Hysteria. I have lots of letters to write and if I am to give you more nieces and nephews than you can handle I'll need to write Athena right away." Slight teasing to his beloved older sister before making an exit, but before that he'd give a smile to Herod. "You take care of, sir knight. Not that you need me to tell you that."
